Listening to the house of reps question time from the 19th > http://www.abc.net.au/newsradio/podcast/QUESTIONREPS.xml

At 55 mins, (55:36 to be exact) he seems to have a freudian attack. I think that is the closest I have heard him, or an aussie MP get to telling the truth.

Interesting! He is obviously still used to telling the truth. Give him a few months, his handlers will have him spinning the bull just like ol' Johnny.

I thought 70:00 was interesting also, with the reference to Ian Tang from Beijing-AustChina Technologies as being PM Rudd's "Chinese controller" (noted by Andrew Rob)...

He calls it a "humorous remark" - reminds me of a couple of polititions - the Bushmaster, of course; and then there's that other fellow, the sell-out noted for his "short, jocular conversation" during the election year...

It's actually worth listening to the whole thing, IMO... The Liberals keep querying Beijing AustChina's relationship with the PM, who then notes that they also supported the Nationals... In other words, the Chinese are working on purchasing our politicians.

PM Rudd says "the Americans [are] currently engaged in deceptions... [cuts himself off] ...decisions..."

Hence the noting of the Freudian slip.

So this is a keynote question time in that it is asserted that both the Americans are working on deceptions, and our PM may be involved with Beijing AustChina technologies; and that in fact the system is geared so that opposing parliaments should form private allegiances, as there is no funding for the opposition's travel.

So it notes that it is the nature of Australian politics to allow companies to 'sponsor' (buy) MP's.

Tickling, indeed.

Well, if it's got to be sensational to be important, good luck...

It gets bad before it gets obscure.

wow, that took an interesting direction. What I hear was actually "decession" as in very nearly recession, as that seemed to be related to the subject matter at the time. But hey, maybe it was a multifaceted Freudian slip  Grin

I am assuming that the not obscure enough comment was sarcasm??

And I think that all Aussies should listen to all question time everyday. I have a 1 hour drive to work each day and a 20 mins walk after that. Question time beats the crap out of any radio. Small step to try and be a little more informed. QT on the drive in and back from work and AJ while working.
