All She Wants To Do Is Dance
All She Wants To Do Is Dance · Don Henley · Martha Davis · David Paich · Steve Porcaro · Patty Smyth

http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/donhenley/allshewantstodoisdance.html
"All She Wants To Do Is Dance"

They're pickin' up the prisoners and puttin' 'em in a pen
And all she wants to do is dance, dance
Rebels been rebels since I don't know when
And all she wants to do is dance

Molotov cocktail, the local drink
And all she wants to do is dance, dance

They mix 'em up right
In the kitchen sink

And all she wants to do is dance

Crazy people walkin' round with blood in their eyes
And all she wants to do is dance, dance
Wild-eyed pistol wavers who ain't afraid to die
And all she wants to do is-
All she wants to do is dance and make romance
She can't feel the heat comin' off the street
She wants to party
She wants to get down
All she wants to do is-
All she wants to do is dance

Well, the government bugged the men's room in the local disco lounge
And all she wants to do is dance, dance
To keep the boys from sellin' all the weapons they could scrounge
And all she wants to do is dance
But that don't keep the boys from makin' a buck or two
And all she wants to do is dance, dance
They still can sell the army all the drugs that they can do
And all she wants to do is-
All she wants to do is dance and make romance

Well we barely made the airport for the last plane out
As we taxied down the runway I could hear the people shout
They said "Don't come back here Yankee"
But if I ever do-
I'll bring more money

'Cause all she wants to do is dance and make romance
Never mind the heat comin' off the street
She wants to party
She wants to get down
All she wants to do is-
All she wants to do is dance
All she wants to do is dance and make romance
All she wants to do is dance

...

The protests were triggered by the Supreme Court's decision to gut the opposition-controlled legislature of its last vestiges of power, a move that was later reversed amid widespread international condemnation and even dissent within Maduro's normally disciplined socialist leadership.

"Nobody can disqualify the Venezuelan people," an emotional Capriles said from a stage Saturday as he called on protesters to march to the ombudsman's office downtown.

As the sea of protesters approached the headquarters of state-run PDVSA oil company, they were met by rubber bullets and a curtain of eye-scorching tear gas, some of it a never-before-seen red color. Mayhem ensued, with riot police racing down windy streets, dodging objects thrown from tall apartment buildings as they deployed to squash the unrest.

Later, a small group of youths unsuccessfully tried to set fire to a Supreme Court office building.
,...
Leaders in the ruling socialist party have accused the opposition of trying to provoke a bloodbath and its own coup.

The protesters on Saturday included 26-year-old Victoria Paez, who sported a baseball cap bearing the slogan "There's a Way!" from Capriles' 2012 presidential run against the late Hugo Chavez.
...
"Every day, the government gives us more reasons to leave our homes and protest," said Paez, who earns less than $20 a month as a chemical engineer [ See I love this, He is a communist in a communist country so what do you expect? ] . She said she's thinking about joining a sister and scores of college friends who have left the South American country seeking a better future.  [ So this is what spreads communism ? geez ] .

This is one of these songs that has been endlessly analyzed, but came very quickly for the writer. Kortchmar says he wasn't thinking very hard about the song when he wrote it - it "just came out."

...
Dwelling a bit further on the lyrics: A "Molotov cocktail" is a kind of homemade fire-bomb. One popular recipe (and we're not telling you anything you can't find out in a hundred other websites out there) is gasoline mixed with melted styrofoam in a milk jug, with a gas-soaked rag shoved through the cap as a fuse. Light it and throw. Dozens of variants on ingredients exist. Excellent examples are on display in any evening news broadcast whenever some third-world country is having a bit of civil unrest.

Daniel Kortchmar (born April 6, 1946) is an American guitarist, session musician, producer and songwriter. Kortchmar's work with singer-songwriters such as Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor, David Crosby, Carole King, David Cassidy, Graham Nash, Neil Young, and Carly Simon helped define the signature sound of the singer-songwriter era of the 1970s. Jackson Browne and Don Henley have recorded many songs written or co-written by Kortchmar, and Kortchmar was Henley's songwriting and producing partner in the 1980s.

“It did feel like the center of the universe," says guitarist Danny Kortchmar, whose robust, rock and blues-infused licks and highly intuitive way of interpreting material made him the era's first-call picker among the period's A-list stars. "All hell had broken loose, and we were on fire," Kortchmar says. "We were cutting records all the time, every day. LA was the place to be back then, just like London in the 1960s. In Gun-Controlled Venezuela, Dictator Promises Gun to Each [COMMUNIST] Socialist Militant
by AWR Hawkins
19 Apr 2017

Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro is giving guns to upwards of 400,000 of his supporters in hopes of squashing opponents’ demands for free and fair elections.

The guns would increase the 100,000 pro-Maduro militia members to roughly half a million in the short term, though Maduro spoke of “one million” militiamen in the long term.

On Sunday night, Maduro ordered the National Bolivarian Militia, a coalition of armed socialist civilians empowered to enforce Maduro’s will, into the streets to stem the tide of opponents calling for elections to replace him. He promised “a gun for every militiaman” and the quadrupling of his civilian force, from 100,000 to 400,000, as soon as possible.

According to Fox News/AP/EFE, Maduro is framing his gun giveaway as a means of fighting outside forces controlled by America seeking to remove him from office.

As the poor join protests, Venezuela may be hitting a turning point

By Mariana Zuñiga and Nick Miroff

April 29 at 5:00 AM 

CARACAS, Venezuela — In the cramped hillside slums where they once adored Hugo Chávez, hungry families now jeer and bang pots at the man struggling in his shadow, President Nicolás Maduro.

Chávez, a master showman who promised his country a socialist “revolution,” loved to wade through crowds of poor Venezuelans, blowing kisses and dispensing hugs. But when his successor has ventured out in public in recent months, he’s been pelted with eggs and chased by angry mobs.

“Maduro is so different,” said Irene Castillo, 26, who lives in El Guarataro, a tough neighborhood not far from the presidential palace. She voted for Maduro in 2013 when Chávez died after 14 years in power. But no one on Castillo’s block supports the government anymore, she said. “Now, those who remain ‘chavistas’ are just the radicals.”

As the country’s bloody, volatile month-old protest movement hardens into a prolonged standoff between demonstrators and the government, the loyalties of poorer Venezuelans like Castillo have become a swing factor in determining whether the president will survive.

The thousands of demonstrators pouring into the streets in recent weeks are mostly middle class, outraged by Venezuela’s economic collapse and the government’s increasingly authoritarian rule. But Venezuelans from longtime chavista strongholds are starting to join them, at considerable risk. Residents of Castillo’s neighborhood protested openly against Maduro for the first time this week.

Could the next step in Venezuela’s crisis be a regionally brokered solution?
By Andrés Oppenheimer

Amid the massive anti-government protests that have left at least 29 dead and more than 400 wounded, Venezuela’s National Assembly president, Julio Borges — one of the country’s top opposition leaders — told me in an interview that there are behind-the-scenes talks with Latin American presidents to create a “group of friendly countries” that would seek a negotiated solution to the political crisis.

Once Latin America’s richest country, Venezuela can no longer feed its people, hobbled by the nationalization of farms as well as price and currency controls

Her country was once Latin America’s richest, producing food for export. Venezuela now can’t grow enough to feed its own people in an economy hobbled by the nationalization of private farms, and price and currency controls.

Venezuela has the world’s highest inflation—estimated by the International Monetary Fund to reach 720% this year—making it nearly impossible for families to make ends meet. Since 2013, the economy has shrunk 27%, according to local investment bank Torino Capital; imports of food have plunged 70%.

Hordes of people, many with children in tow, rummage through garbage, an uncommon sight a year ago. People in the countryside pick farms clean at night, stealing everything from fruits hanging on trees to pumpkins on the ground, adding to the misery of farmers hurt by shortages of seed and fertilizer. Looters target food stores. Families padlock their refrigerators.

Anti-Pope Tells Venezuelan Christians To Be Nice and Behave While In Hell

Anti-Pope Francis is the first Latin American Anti-Pope. He is watching a Latin American government that openly supports a doctrine of state-supreme atheism* rain down fire on the peasants in the street. Naturally, Pope Francis blames the people for being such poor Christians. He goes Full-on Jimmy Carter in his despicable sanctimony below.

Francis told faithful gathered in St. Peter’s Square that, united in sorrow with the families of victims, he was making a heartfelt appeal to “the government and all the components of the Venezuelan society so that every further form of violence is avoided, human rights are respected and negotiated solutions are sought.” The comments came a day after Francis, the first Latin American pope, expressed frustration that Vatican-sponsored negotiations to resolve Venezuela’s political impasse had not succeeded, in part because of what he cited as divisions within the opposition.

So as Pope Francis dithers, President Maduro reprises an old query first posited by Josef Stalin. “How many divisions has the Pope?” The supposedly divided opposition is being systematically sliced and diced.

A Venezuelan national guard armored vehicle careened into a crowd of anti-government demonstrators in Caracas on a day of furious protests that left more than 300 people injured. The newspaper El Nacional published videos Wednesday showing the vehicle backing up as a gasoline bomb burst on its windshield. Crowds raced toward the vehicle and then suddenly fled as it advanced, and masked soldiers battled protesters in a chaotic melee. Rocks, bottles, shots and tear gas filled the air. One person was confirmed dead in Caracas.

The answer is obvious. The Pope has no divisions if he provides no inspiration. Furthermore, it doesn’t matter how many divisions he has if he will not simply and unabashedly field them athwart the evil. The man is a moral nullity.

Relying on oil exporting alone does not make an economy. Even China has been moving away from the export cheap goods model in recent years.

Yeah Oil ,.. They have more than just oil ,,,  But the whole globalist lie is how world globalist (communist)  policies will level all boats , lifting the third ROW countries to higher levels of income and "opportunity"

All this is BS , It a race to the bottom ... and the cheapest slave sources ... Venezuela is not safe or cheap enough yet ...

They must be brought to the lowest depths of suffering before the "globalist controllers" will walk back in to take complete control ...

Death toll nears 40 as Venezuela protesters hurl feces

CARACAS, Venezuela -- Dozens of people were injured and a 27-year-old man killed Wednesday during another day of violent clashes in Venezuela's capital as angry demonstrators demanded elections.

National guardsmen launched tear gas and a group of armed pro-government militiamen harassed protesters as they tried to march to the Supreme Court. One masked militia member fired several shots into the air. The militia later dispersed after officers intervened.

At least 93 people were injured in Caracas and demonstrator Miguel Castillo was killed. Authorities also announced that Anderson Dugarte, 32, died from a gunshot wound he suffered Monday at a protest in Merida. The violence pushed the death toll to at least 39 in more than a month of street protests and political turmoil.
...

The youths hurled stones and the so-called "poopootov cocktails" at National Guard troops who blocked their route through the center of the capital city. The troops responded with tear gas and water cannon.

"There's nothing explosive here. It's our way of saying, 'Get lost Maduro, you're useless!"' a young protester told Reuters as he prepared to lob another bottle of feces at security forces.

We want to grow old with dignity & freedom, says citizen
AFP -  May 13, 2017

Elderly protesters braved pepper spray in scuffles with riot police on Friday as they marched in the latest anti-government protests in Venezuela.

With wheelchairs and walking sticks or on their feet shouting and waving their fists, some 2,000 demonstrators challenged police who blocked their way in central Caracas and fired pepper spray to deter them.

“We do not want a dictatorship, we want to grow old with dignity, medicine, food and freedom,” said Lourdes Parra, 77, wrapped in a red, yellow and blue Venezuelan flag.

The price of oil hit rock bottom, Chaves depended on this as a financial stable. Sound about right.
Any 3rd world nation that depends on one product, OIL, was in dire straits.
How long have Venuzeula been dependent on the oil & for how long have western powers sought to bring down this gov.
Its a global Pizz take.  It is relevant to include the M>E in the shadow dealing of the insiders. OK sure V is up the creek with no paddle, include, Afgh, Libya, Iraq, what is left of them that is... etc etc....
Whatsoever dictates human survival is contolled. food, oil, water, energy, currency, agriculture, healthcare, well you name they own it.
HRC litterly brought down Libya, WHY..Quadiffi created the largest water supply to supply farmers snd their people , isolated areas , someome called it the 8th wonder of the world. He created a currency backed in GOLD,dimas gobs of it, (where did it go),Christians refered to his reign as the Golden age of Christianity..
Ok, he acted like a nutter, hated western influence , killed terrorists, and controlled one of the finest oil worldwide.   Given these facts what was the true reason for this semi controlled  clandestine invasion. It is not simply venezuela, the NWO/elites/ neocons/ etc. has been in motion for decades.   Now that the so called rebs have infiltrated these nations what will be the end game.
A pizz poor nation, with no oil, no minerals, absolute bare economy will not be touched.
Haiti was hit with a catastrophe, the funds to assist these human beings left with nothing but constant suffrering and death went where?   10 % $ perhaps,  Clinton were humane, Uh ,UH, they swalowed up 90%  of the contributions..GIVE IT A NAME.   Their lil freinds made fortunes in their deals...
    Ranted-apologize.

Hi Al.

I get your point, there is one catch. Some married couples on the edge of starvation may feel itis an injustice to bring more children into a tragic situation.
I admit, if my wife and I lived on scraps to survive , basically no food , medical, housing, etc. I would think twice before having a child untill I was sure it could at least be cared for and survive humanely.  I could not cast judgement on those suffering making a determined decision not thave children at this horendous time in their lives.
Your point is is taken, please consider the decisions of the desperetly poor who can barely feed themselves.
The lil people are and allways have been the pawns in the elites chess game, your post is in evidence.

No source as to the nations involved just my oberservations. Newborns are found on about a daily basis deserted in the bush areas or simply dumped in rivers, oceans etc. Killed or left to die. I don`t dispute you graph, just mentioning stats that may not appear..

Venezuela's political crisis explained

By Flora Charner and Patrick Gillespie, CNN

Caracas (CNN)Venezuelans have been summoned to the polls on Sunday to vote for a new lawmaking body, to be known as the Constituent Assembly.

There are 545 seats up for grabs and those elected would essentially replace the current National Assembly -- which is controlled by opponents of President Nicolás Maduro's government.

The newly elected body would rewrite the 1999 constitution, the cornerstone of former President Hugo Chavez's "Bolivarian Revolution," which extended presidential term limits and allowed for indefinite re-elections.

...

Opponents slam vote
Representatives of Venezuela's opposition and leaders abroad have spoken out against the vote, saying it will erase the last remaining vestiges of democracy in the crisis-ridden country.
...

US President Donald Trump criticized the vote, saying the White House would take "strong and swift economic actions" against "a bad leader."

Also on Wednesday, the US Treasury Department imposed sanctions on at least 13 current or former leaders in Maduro's government who were suspected of violating human rights.

Leading Venezuelan opposition figures Leopoldo Lopez and Antonio Ledezma have been taken from their homes, according to their families.

Their rounding up comes after Sunday's controversial election handed President Nicolás Maduro a new legislative body made up entirely of his supporters.

The vote triggered massive outcry from the international community, prompting new sanctions, as well as those inside the country who have called it a sham.

Marco Rubio Gives Televised Address in Venezuela: ‘You Are Not Alone’
by Ben Kew1 Aug 2017409

Marco Rubio gave a televised address broadcast throughout Venezuela on Globovisión on Monday t
o express solidarity with the Venezuelan people following a sham election designed to tighten socialist dictator Nicolas Maduro’s grip on power.

“In this struggle, know neither we nor you are alone. Since last night’s fraudulent exercise, Peru, Chile, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Mexico and other nations from across the world have joined in announcing they do not recognize this constituent assembly,” he said in his Spanish-language address.

Marco and Ted should actually talk about how to stop commie dictators in Latin America into oblivion.

Question:
Where are Jimmy Carter, Danny Glover, Sean Penn, and about couple of other dozen left wing fools now that the fruition of socialism has come to bring utopia to Venezuela?

Venezuela says crushes anti-government attack on military base
by Reuters
Sunday, 6 August 2017 19:17 GMT
By Girish Gupta and Alexandra Ulmer

VALENCIA/CARACAS, Venezuela, Aug 6 (Reuters) - Venezuelan authorities suppressed a small rebellion at a military base near the city of Valencia on Sunday, arresting seven men who they say participated in a "terrorist attack" against the government of unpopular President Nicolas Maduro.

Earlier on Sunday a video circulated on social media showing a group of men in military uniform announcing an uprising in the wake of the creation of a pro-government legislative superbody on Friday, which was widely condemned as a power grab.

Some of the alleged plotters got away with weapons stolen from the base, and state security forces were "intensely" searching for them, the defense ministry said in a statement.
...

Hundreds took to the streets in Valencia to support the uprising, said resident Carolina Herrera, who like other witnesses reported shots through the night.

But hooded protesters had been largely dispelled with tear gas by midday on Sunday, and the rest of the South American country of 30 million appeared to be calm.

Still, the episode highlights how volatile Venezuela is after four months of sustained anti-government protests over what the opposition calls the country's slide into a dictatorship.
...

Venezuelans view the armed forces as the key power broker in their country, and opposition leaders have repeatedly exhorted the military to break with Maduro over what they call his erosion of democracy and brutality toward demonstrators.

But the top brass continues to publicly profess loyalty to his government. Critics say juicy government contracts, corruption, and contraband mean many military officials want Maduro to stay in office and fear persecution should the opposition take power.

Discontent is higher among lower-tier officials, who are often sent to control rowdy protests and are paid just a few dozen U.S. dollars a month.
