Was Jesus referring to an age of trans-humanism?

Might give this some thought:

The Book of Jasher says that the sin of humanity that brought on God's judgement of a great flood was the misuse of biotechnology to provoke God. Jesus said that He would return when the times were as they were in the days of Noah.

So are our advances in bio-technology, coupled with a disregard for moral principles that could at least prevent us from going crazy with the technology, going to usher in a new Atlantis and a new destruction?

Without bothering with Jasher, Genesis 6:9 refers to Noah as being “perfect in his generations” as well as “just”. That doesn't mean nice, friendly, and cuddly. Actually, he was kind of a jerk. It means that he was Mr. Clean Genes.

Not to be confused with Mr. Green Jeans

Sometimes I wonder if all those “mythological” hybrid creatures weren't so mythological after all.

If one believes there was a world-wide flood, of which there is geological evidence, Biblical reference, and common stories from multiple cultures, then we know very little about civilization before that time.

Here's another thing I wonder about.

The most ancient Hebrew pictograph for the alphabetical letter “nun” looks like this.

It's supposed to be a “seed” and means “continue, heir, or son”. To me it's obvious what that is, a classic sperm cell. But this raises a question. How would anybody back then be able to see that without the aid of a microscope?

Are we just progressing back to a past that nobody remembers anymore? If so, it didn't turn out well the first time. Couple this thought with modern human nature and we're on the fast train to unleashing nightmares that would never exist if genetically left alone.

The Era Of Human-Animal Hybrid Chimeras Has Begun

Michael Snyder
End of the American Dream

Human-animal mutant creatures make for great material for science fiction writers, but we aren’t supposed to be creating them in the real world. In so many ways, the technological advancements that we have made as a society are outpacing our ability to handle those advancements, and this field is certainly a glaring example of that reality.

Just because we can create human-animal hybrid chimeras does not mean that we should. Genetic modification is a particularly dangerous science, because we are literally tinkering with the future of our planet. And when it comes to humans and animals, those are two things that definitely should not mix. Unfortunately, they are being mixed, and this could have enormous implications as our society plunges into a very uncertain future.

During all of the chaos surrounding the 2016 presidential election, a stunning announcement by the National Institutes of Health went unnoticed by almost everyone. The following comes from a Huffington Post article entitled “The Island of Dr. Moreau For Real“…

In August 2016, the National Institutes of Health announced that it was lifting its ban on research that introduces stem cells from humans into animal embryos.

No -- it means he was a good guy!
