'I was elected to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris': Trump pulls US out of climate accord as he calls it 'unfair at the very highest level' and vows to protect American jobs

Donald Trump is pulling the United States out of the Paris climate agreement that Barack Obama entered
President says he is protecting American jobs and accuses treaty of being designed to redistribute U.S. wealth to other countries
'I was elected to protect the citizens of Pittsburgh not Paris,' he said - 'It is time to make America great again.'
Obama reacted before Trump even finishing speaking, saying action means U.S. joins a small handful of nations that reject the future'
Just two other countries - Syria and Nicaragua - are out of the deal and countries still to ratify it include Russia, Iran and North Korea
Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner were said to have lobbied to stay in - and were not at the Rose Garden to witness the decision being announced
Vatican said in advance of announcement that it would be 'slap in the face' and 'disaster' to quit agreement
Scientists claim that without the deal to cut greenhouse emissions, global average temperatures will rise by more than 2C - 3.6F - this century

CLIMATE EXPERT PRAISES TRUMP FOR PULLING OUT OF 'SHAM' PARIS ACCORD - 'Very, very bad deal' is 'deliberately designed to punish the United States

http://www.wnd.com/2017/06/climate-expert-praises-trump-for-pulling-out-of-sham-paris-accord/

Quote

“I’m glad that Trump had the fortitude to stick it out despite all the attempts to waylay him,” said Dr. Tim Ball, a retired climatologist at the University of Winnipeg and author of “The Deliberate Corruption of Climate Science.”

“He didn’t have to rely on the false science,” Ball told WND and Radio America. “He relied strictly on the economics of it, that it’s a very, very bad deal for the United States. In fact, it’s deliberately designed to punish the United States.”

Ball said the Paris climate accord was simply the latest incarnation of the old Kyoto Protocol from the 1990s that sought to redistribute wealth from the industrial nations. He contends the Green Climate Fund, which is part of the Paris agreement, is the latest effort in that regard.

Ball points out the nonbinding nature of the agreement – which is the only way the deal could be struck – means most nations have not contributed what they’ve pledged to the Green Climate Fund.

Trump Signs Executive Order Unwinding Obama Climate Policies

By CORAL DAVENPORT and ALISSA J. RUBIN
MARCH 28, 2017

WASHINGTON — President Trump, flanked by company executives and miners, signed a long-promised executive order on Tuesday to nullify President Barack Obama’s climate change efforts and revive the coal industry, effectively ceding American leadership in the international campaign to curb the dangerous heating of the planet.

Mr. Trump made clear that the United States had no intention of meeting the commitments that his predecessor had made to curb planet-warming carbon dioxide pollution, turning denials of climate change into national policy.
...
Throughout the presidential campaign, Mr. Trump vowed to roll back Mr. Obama’s major climate change policies, a set of ambitious E.P.A. regulations to curb greenhouse pollution from coal-fired power plants. He made clear that American leadership in the global campaign against climate change would take a back seat to his commitment to energy industry jobs.

Trump-Sessions Relationship So Tense AG Offered Resignation

KEVIN DALEY - 06/06/2017

The relationship between President Donald Trump and Attorney General
Jeff Sessions has reportedly become so strained that the AG offered to resign.

ABC News, citing unnamed sources, reports that the president remains fixated on Sessions’ decision to recuse himself from the ongoing investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Trump’s anger is allegedly such that he has repeatedly lambasted the Attorney General in private, prompting Sessions to offer his resignation.

Amazon's 'moat' just got wider -- and that's great for its investors
By Jeff Reeves, MarketWatch

Deal for Whole Foods means Amazon is moving closer to ruling the retail world
...
Fast forward to 2017, and the notion of a stranglehold on an entire consumer segment doesn't seem like science fiction at all. In fact, after Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) announced it would purchase Whole Foods Market Inc. (WFM) for $13.7 billion (http://www.marketwatch.com/story/amazon-to-acquire-whole-foods-in-137-billion-deal-2017-06-16), the only thing unrealistic about this notion is that anyone other than Amazon will be victorious.
...

And whether you're a conspiracy nut worried about some dystopian future where one company dominates the American consumer landscape or whether you're just an eager investor looking for a discretionary stock with a wide moat, you'll want to watch Amazon very closely.

Amazon is rapidly becoming a consumer monopoly. And it appears there's nothing anyone can do about it.

Google and Facebook have nothing on Amazon

Over the years, Google parent Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL) (GOOGL) has gotten plenty of flak for its dominance in internet search. In fact, just days ago, the European Union threatened fines of as much as $90 billion (https://www.wsj.com/articles/google-faces-record-european-antitrust-fine-1497602658) for allegedly favoring its own business arms in search over the competition.

Amazon Is Worth More Than Walmart,
Costco, and Target Combined

Jeff Bukhari - Apr 05, 2017

Amazon may not be the biggest U.S. retailer in terms of revenue, but it certainly is the most valuable.

After a remarkable market run over the last two years, its stock has nearly tripled in value to an astronomical $922, swelling Amazon’s market cap to $439.8 billion, which far surpasses the combined valuations of rivals Walmart, Costco, Target, Macy’s, and Kohl’s.

Amazon’s market cap nearly doubles that of Walmart, which is the largest retailer in the U.S., boasting revenue of $482 billion for fiscal 2016, compared with Amazon’s $136 billion. Walmart’s value comes out to $218.1 billion, while Costco’s is $73.8 billion and Target’s is $29.6 billion, according to Bloomberg. Macy’s and Kohl’s total $8.9 billion and $6.6 billion, respectively. The combined total for the five retailers is $337 billion, meaning Amazon eclipses them all by about $100 billion.

Bridges takes chilled approach in heated political rhetoric

By BOBBY CAINA CALVAN, Associated Press

Jeff Bridges as Wild Bill Hickok
...

... when it comes to critiquing the role of today's real-life president, Bridges is a lot more laid back than some of his fellow celebrities. How would The Dude, the character he played in "The Big Lebowski," handle things?

He likely wouldn't be dangling a severed head in the likeness of President Donald Trump, as comedian Kathy Griffin came under fire for. Neither would The Dude joke about killing the president as Johnny Depp recently did. Griffin and Depp later apologized.

"Everybody has something different and unique to contribute to society and with different ways of doing it," Bridges said in an interview Wednesday with The Associated Press, after taking part on a panel focused on child hunger at a meeting of the Western Governors Association in Whitefish, Montana.

"Some people will be blatantly out there talking about their disappointments and ridiculing the way President Trump is acting," said Bridges, who supported Hillary Clinton in last year's election.

"I'm rooting for him to do well by our country," he said. "I'm rooting for him as a human being to do the cool thing," Bridges said, as he pivoted back to his work against childhood hunger.

Why the MSM Is Ignoring Trump's
Sex Trafficking Busts

Liz Crokin - Feb 25, 2017

Since President Donald Trump has been sworn in on Jan. 20, authorities have arrested an unprecedented number of sexual predators involved in child sex trafficking rings in the United States. This should be one of the biggest stories in the national news. Instead, the mainstream media has barely, if at all, covered any of these mass pedophile arrests. This begs the question – why?

As a strong advocate for sex crime victims, I’ve been closely following the pedophile arrests since Trump took office. There have been a staggering 1,500-plus arrests in one short month; compare that to less than 400 sex trafficking-related arrests in 2014 according to the FBI. It’s been clear to me for awhile that Trump would make human trafficking a top priority. On October 8, 2012, Trump tweeted:

"Got to do something about these missing children grabbed
by the perverts. Too many incidents – fast trial, death penalty."

My suspicions were confirmed on Feb. 23 when Trump gave a press conference from the White House addressing how human trafficking is a “dire problem” domestically and internationally. He gave further confirmation when he said: “Dedicated men and women across the federal government have focused on this for some time as you know -- it’s been much more focused over the last four weeks.” Trump’s press conference was barely a blip in the mainstream media and the massive arrests have been almost completely ignored by the MSM altogether. Here’s a rundown of some of the massive sex trafficking rings that have been broken up since Trump took office.

-On Jan. 27 authorities arrested 42 in a human trafficking operation in Tennessee.

-On Jan. 29 authorities announced that 474 were arrested in a statewide California human trafficking operation and 28 sexually exploited children were rescued.

-108 were arrested from Jan. 18 to Feb. 5 in Illinois as part of a national sex trafficking sting operation.

- 178 people were arrested in Texas for sex trafficking in sting that operated in January till Super Bowl Sunday.

-16 people were arrested in January in Michigan for sex trafficking during the Detroit Auto Show.

-In February, authorities arrested 11 in Virginia in a child sex sting.

-On Feb. 14 the Polk County sheriff announced that 42 were arrested in Florida in child pornography related cases.

Trump at G20 with Mexican President: Mexico ‘Absolutely’ Paying for Border Wall
“Absolutely.”
Breitbart - July 8, 2017

During a meeting at the G20 in Hamburg, Germany, between U.S. President Donald Trump and Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto, Trump told reporters that he “absolutely” still wants Mexico to pay for a wall along the U.S. border.

Members of the press were briefly allowed in the meeting where an AP reporter asked Trump, “Mr. Trump, do you still want Mexico to pay for the wall?”

Trump responded, “Absolutely.”

The comments came after the two presidents had delivered statements. Trump said that, at the time of the Friday meeting, it had been a “successful day.” He stated, “We’re negotiating NAFTA and some other things with Mexico, and we’ll see how it all turns out, but I think we’ve made very good progress.”

Immigration Shocker: Trump Administration May Bail on DACA
DHS secretary suggests Obama executive amnesty not safe after all, feds won't defend in court

by Margaret Menge | Updated 13 Jul 2017 at 6:17 AM

Facing the threat of a lawsuit from Texas and eight other states, the Trump administration indicated Wednesday that it may decline to defend DACA in court, a move that would likely result in the end of the program that granted amnesty to illegal immigrants brought to the U.S. when they were children.
...
Sen. Bob Menendez of New Jersey, a Cuban-American and a Democrat, told reporters after the meeting: "It's not a pretty picture."

...

Krikorian estimated that during the first three months of 2017, the Trump administration has given access to work permits, Social Security numbers, driver's licenses, tax credits, and more to 13,436 illegal aliens — an average of 192 a day.
...
In June, Kelly rescinded the 2014 executive order that created the DAPA program, saying that he saw no legal path forward for the program in the face of a lawsuit brought by Texas and the other states.
...
Rep. Luis V. Gutierrez (D-Ill.), was visibly shaken afterwards, saying, "Jeff Sessions is going to say, 'Deport them.' If you're going to count on Jeff Sessions to save DACA, then DACA is ended."

FBI agents raided the home in Alexandria, Va., of President Trump’s former campaign chairman, arriving in the pre-dawn hours late last month and seizing documents and other materials related to the special counsel investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

The raid, which occurred without warning on July 26, signaled an aggressive new approach by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III and his team in dealing with a key figure in the Russia inquiry. Manafort has been under increasing pressure as the Mueller team looked into his personal finances and his professional career as a highly paid foreign political consultant.

Caddell: Republican Senate Didn’t Even Recess so Trump Could Make Recess Appointments
by Dan Riehl

Washington, DC2,205

Pollster and political analyst Pat Caddell spoke with Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Alex Marlow on Thursday regarding Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s complaints about President Trump’s expectations for a Republican Congress and the president’s tough talk on North Korea.

Caddell said, “The McConnell stuff, I found just amazing. I mean, McConnell’s talk the other day, so condescending to the president.”
“What does he think we do here? Well, I don’t know, do you?” said Caddell, mimicking McConnell.
“I have no idea what these people do there,” he added.

Caddell also blasted Republicans in Congress for not having a plan to repeal and replace Obamacare on day one, saying they were caught off guard because they did not think Trump would win and have often been oppositional to him.

Said Caddell, “Look at what the Senate did. It didn’t even recess so he could appoint recess appointments. That’s what the Democrats would have done. All these positions he can’t move through the Senate, he could have appointed them the day they recessed. But they made sure he couldn’t. They stayed in session, technically.”
