Personally, I'm pretty happy we've drawn it to almost level with Remain. I always assumed we'd be destroyed or the referendum would be rigged. It kinda has with the media and western establishment ganging up on us. If we lose now, then we might at least lose small.

If the left lose this for us, I hope UKIP steal a whole swathe of their votes outside London. Labour people are really only voting for the EU because they think it limits the supposed damage of democratically elected Conservative governments at home. Disgustingly undemocratic behaviour. They'll need some karma for that.

Hi Stan I agree with you  . My personal opinion is no matter what way this vote goes its going to hurt both the Conservative party and the Labour party , I hope UKIP will pick up some of the vote out voters from both these parties.

Londoners Rush to Sell Pounds in Preparation For Brexit

Long queues form over fears sterling could sink if Britain leaves EU

Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet.com
June 22, 2016

Long queues formed outside currency exchange bureaus today as Londoners rushed to sell sterling over fears that the currency could plummet in the aftermath of a Brexit vote to leave the EU.

The Financial Times reported that the scenes brought back memories of when customers formed queues outside Northern Rock branches before its collapse in 2007.

When asked what was behind the demand, Daniel Priori, International Currency Exchange kiosk at Waterloo station, said the majority of people were changing pounds to euros, “Because they are scared about tomorrow.”

Having gained ground since last week over expectations that voters would choose to remain in the EU, the potential fall that would await sterling if Brits instead chose to Brexit would be colossal.

The Post Office also revealed that “sales of foreign currency were nearly four times higher than the same date last year, while sales in branches were nearly 49 per cent higher.”

Zero Hedge compared the long lines to images from other countries showing citizens queuing up to obtain “hard currency,” but also noted that, “not everyone is terrified of the inevitable collapse in sterling in case of Brexit (which is what the Scaremongering campaign is all about). Some just want some vacation money.”

While the polls show that ‘Vote Remain’ and ‘Vote Leave’ are virtually tied, bookmakers are still strongly indicating that the most likely outcome will be that Britain remains in the EU.

However, although wealthy elitists are placing large bets on ‘Vote Remain’, the greatest number of individual bets have been placed on ‘Vote Leave’, suggesting that monied interests could be trying to sway the vote by making a ‘Vote Remain’ victory seem inevitable.

UBS Warns Its Clients They May Not Be Able To Trade At All After Brexit

Zero Hedge
June 22, 2016

With less than two days until the outcome of the Brexit referendum, traders around the world know two things…

In a scene reminiscent of Lehman Sunday, everyone will be ready to trade the nanosecond the first results are released resulting in a supernova of volatility and an unprecedented burst in volume or… markets will simply grind to a halt as banks refuse to take risk positions and execute client orders, all bids and offers are withdrawn as the last trace of liquidity evaporates, and central banks are forced to start trading with each other in the open market.

As the following just released warning from UBS to its clients reveals, it will probably be the latter, to wit:

Regardless of the outcome, we may see an increase in volatility and an impact on trading volumes. In the event that extreme market moves occur in an environment of limited liquidity, our principal spreads may widen for both electronic and voice trading, liquidity may reduce and prices may turn indicative (i.e., non-tradable) for periods of time.

Billionaires & Globalists Vs. the People — As Brexit D-Day Vote Looms

William F. Jasper
New American
June 22, 2016

Rothschild, Soros, Bloomberg, Branson, Ka-Shing, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, BlackRock, Carlyle Group — the banking behemoths and business titans are turning out in force in the final hours of the countdown to one of the most momentous votes in decades, if not of the past century.

The Bilderberg-CFR-Trilateral elites are bringing all hands on deck to stop Britons from voting to leave the EU, in the June 23 Brexit referendum. With trillions of dollars at stake, not to mention decades of scheming to concentrate political power, the organized globalists are pulling out all stops in a final desperate push to frighten British voters away from reclaiming sovereignty and control over their own lives, their own finances, and their own borders. It’s known in England as “Project Fear” (see here and here), and Prime Minister David Cameron and his uber-rich “world order” backers have ratcheted it up to “full terror” mode for the final stretch of the race.

The stepped-up propaganda campaign to kill the Brexit vote came directly on the heels of the 64th meeting of ultra-secretive Bilderberg Group, which took place June 9-12 at the luxurious Hotel Taschenbergpalais in Dresden, Germany. Helping kick off the final installment of “Project Fear” was a June 14 column by Martin Wolf in the Financial Times entitled, “Brexit imperils the confidence of strangers.”

“Suppose that the Leave campaign, which one might call Project Lie, wins the referendum next week,” Wolf posited. “How bad might the economic consequences over the next few years be? Alas, they might be very bad indeed,” he darkly warned. Wolf, chief economics commentator at the establishment Financial Times, is one of the elite propagandists posing as journalists who has been attending the Bilderberg confabs for years. Their job is to serve as transmission belts of the Bilderberg cabal’s line to the general public, and to quell and quash all public concerns about the opaque goings-on of public officials behind closed doors with powerful private interests. This is usually done by the likes of Wolf using their prestigious positions to denounce as irrational “conspiracy theories” any rational concerns expressed about the clandestine conferences. Wolf ended his post-Dresden monitory by claiming: “Brexit, in sum, might be a big economic shock and not just for the UK. This is largely because of the fragility that precedes it and the many uncertainties that would follow it. The referendum is itself irresponsible. The outcome might well prove devastating.”

Following Wolf’s lead, billionaire George Soros, the world’s most infamous currency speculator, warned Britain that a vote for Brexit this Thursday could result in a “Black Friday” market crash with horrible consequences. In a June 20 column for the UK Guardianentitled “The Brexit crash will make all of you poorer — be warned,” Soros said: “My 60 years of experience tells me the pound will plummet, along with your living standards. The only winners will be speculators.” That’s rich, coming from the primo speculator/manipulator and protégé of the even more infamous Rothschild banking dynasty.

Leave just got killed in a couple of final polls. It would take a lot to come back from this so expect a Scottish indy referendum style result for the status quo (like 55/45) and hope for the best. Anything better than that may be a bonus at this point.

Ipsos Mori, phone (Excl. DKs.)
Remain: 52% (+5)
Leave: 48% (-5)

Populus, online / 21 - 22 Jun (Excl. DKs.)
Remain: 55%
Leave: 45%

Hi Stan I agree with you  . My personal opinion is no matter what way this vote goes its going to hurt both the Conservative party and the Labour party , I hope UKIP will pick up some of the vote out voters from both these parties.

That's one positive to take from this. There has to be some kind of re-alignment when it comes to voting patterns and that's at least interesting to watch. It may be just the odd point here and there or it may be something more significant. The general election polls will become intriguing to watch again.

Something Strange Emerges When Looking Behind The “Brexit” Bookie Odds

Like said, first you rig the polls so that later you can say, when you rig the votes, that the polls predicted that.

It worked in the Scotland referendum so it certainly will work here.

If you are willing to murder rigging the polls and votes is only 'soft' tyranny.

... for the REMAINERS ... scaremongering
is the order of the day:

Britain’s Newspaper Front Pages Show
Positive Brexit, Scaremongering Remain

NICK HALLETT  23 Jun 2016

Britain’s newspaper front pages this morning highlight the stark difference in tone between the Brexit and the Remain campaigns.

While the pro-Brexit papers are generally positive, showing British flags and urging people for vote for their country, the Remain papers speak of a “leap in the dark”, “last-ditch” attempts and the country’s future being on a “kife-edge.

Brexit supporters urged to take own pens

Nearly a third of Ukip voters believe that MI5 are involved

Voters should bring along pens to EU referendum polling stations to avoid an MI5 plot, according to Leave campaigners.

Backers of Brexit are urging people to write in pen and make sure that their ballot papers can’t be erased after the votes have been cast.

UK weather: Polling station chaos as flooding storm batters South of England
23 Jun 2016, 3:17pm

People are reporting they can't get to their polling station after a major storm drenched the South East
...
Major storms in the South of England have left polling stations flooded leaving Brits struggling through driving rain to cast their vote in the EU referendum .

But with polls showing Leave and Remain neck-and-neck , could the inclement weather actually affect the outcome of the crunch vote?

Yesterday, the BBC asked their polling guru Professor John Curtice, if the weather was likely to affect the outcome of the referendum.

He said: "Very, very rarely. There have been occasions in British elections where one part of the country has had the usual British rain and another has had a glimmer of sunshine and it’s had no perceptible impact on the level of turnout.

No Exit Polls for BrExit ... Hmmmm.... No corruption here ... nope look away ... no voter fraud here

http://qz.com/714976/why-theres-no-exit-poll-after-the-brexit-vote/
Why there’s no exit poll after the Brexit

On the day in which Britain’s future hangs in the balance, you would think that people would be on tenterhooks, eager for exit poll results to discuss and decipher.

They won’t get any. There will be no official exit poll results, not even after the polls close at 10pm today (June 23), because this referendum is such an anomaly that there is no way to design a reliable exit poll.

Regular exit polls are run by asking people at a sample of voting booths across the country how they voted, and then comparing the results with surveys from the same locations
in previous elections. “The changes can be projected to build up a national picture,” the Independent explains.

But since Britain is voting on whether or not it will stay in the EU, a topic that has not been part of a general election, there is no baseline. “There is no last time this time,” says John Curtice, a professor at Strathclyde University said. The last referendum on the subject was 41 years ago and it’s safe to say the country has changed a bit over the years.

...

Regardless of who commissions an exit poll, results can’t be reported until after the polls close. Section 66 of the Representation of the People Act of 1983 bans the publication of any forecasts or predictions for elections before the polls are closed. People can say—or tweet, or Instagram—how they voted, but they cannot tally their friends’ votes and stick that on Facebook

Victoria Beckham shows support for Remain campaign in red and blue

By Alice Newbold,  Junior Style Editor
 23 June 2016 • 12:19pm

Her signature wardrobe usually comprises sleek monochrome separates and muted neutrals, but yesterday Victoria Beckham decided to buck her own trend. Stepping out of her New York hotel, the designer packed a punch in brilliant blue trousers and a postbox red crew-neck knit. It was a ‘double take’ moment to say the least.
...

Read between the lines, however, and it was no coincidence that Beckham decided to showcase a new found love of vibrant red and blue- the colours comandeered by the official Remain campaign- the day before the EU referendum.

 - - - -

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victoria_Beckham
Victoria Caroline Beckham (née Adams; born 17 April 1974)[2][3] is an English businesswoman, fashion designer, model and singer. In the late 1990s, Beckham rose to fame with the all-female pop group Spice Girls and was dubbed Posh Spice by the July 1996 issue of the British music magazine
...

Beckham attended St. Mary's High School in Cheshunt, where she was embarrassed by her family's wealth and often begged her father not to drop her off outside the school in their Rolls Royce.[16] Eventually, she became a member of a band called Persuasion
...
In 2007, it was reported that Beckham was the 52nd richest woman in Britain[97] and the 19th richest person in Britain with husband David, with an estimated joint wealth of £112 million ($225 million).[5] According to The Guardian, Beckham Ventures, a company linked to the Victoria Beckham fashion business, was the best performing brand in the family's three businesses in 2012, coming close to matching turnover in a sister company that promotes the David Beckham brand.[8]

Forget Brexit: According To Albert Edwards, There Is A Far Bigger Risk To The Global Economy
22 June 2016
, by Tyler Durden (Zero Hedge)
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-06-22/forget-brexit-according-albert-edwards-there-far-bigger-risk-global-economy

Excerpt:

Albert Edwards: Thinking about this from the point of view of my Ice Age thesis, where interest rates cannot be normalised because of economic weakness and deflation pressures persisting throughout this recovery, I would have thought a 20% sterling devaluation is exactly the antidote needed in the current circumstances. The pound will fall with or without Brexit.

The far bigger risk to the global economy – the same risk that defined risk for the entire second half of 2016: China’s devaluation, which has returned, only this time it is far more strealthy which may explain why the market has largely ignored it for now. We believe China’s ongoing stealth devaluation of the renminbi is far more important for the global economy. Meanwhile, our attention has been diverted. China has embarked on a stealth devaluation of the renminbi. Its new trade-weighted currency basket has fallen 10% since just before its initial August 2015 devaluation (white line in chart below) and it has continued to decline since January even as the Rmb/dollar has stabilised.

The Wall Street Journal has reported that this is a deliberate shift in policy ?- link. China is now exporting its deflation, and my goodness it has a lot of deflation to export. In the Ice Age world, countries need to devalue to avoid deflation. So if sterling slumps in the aftermath of a Brexit vote there may be at least one silver lining outside the EU if the UK economy manages to avoid the quagmire of outright deflation.

LEAVE = 56%
REMAIN = 44%

Scotland is going BIG for LEAVE ... may
or may not be enough to tip the scales.

^^^^

... NOTE: Poster got this backwards ...
Scotland, of course, voted bigtime REMAIN.

I think it's actually about 60% Remain for Scotland so far. Northern Ireland will only be a close Remain Victory in the end, while Wales and England should be Leave. Hopefully.

There were couple of groups which assumed a 50/50 nationwide result and then predicted how the 300+ counting regions would vote based on various data. Leave were over-performing early on but I didn't like to get my hopes up and we still don't have it in the bag.

This could be a great victory though. Let's hope Humanity 1 - Globalists 0.

Proposed ‘EU Army’ Hidden From British Voters Until After Brexit

EU army proposal to remain hidden From British voters until day after Brexit vote

Clifford Cunningham
Prison Planet.com
June 23, 2016

As citizens of the United Kingdom prepare to cast their votes in a nationwide referendum to decide whether or not to leave the European Union, a plan detailing the initial framework for the creation of a European Union army is being kept hidden from the public until the day after the vote.

The Global Strategy on Foreign and Security Policy, which envisions the formation of new European military and operational structures, was drafted by Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

While the plan clearly lays the framework for a European Union army, details will not be released publicly until the day after the Brexit vote so as not to inflame public opinion in the UK.

Only a small group of EU political and security committee ambassadors, who are required to leave their electronic devices outside a sealed room, can read the proposal; however, they are allowed to take and remove handwritten notes.

Despite being dismissed by many, including former Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg (Liberal Democrat) who referred to the idea as “dangerous fantasy,” numerous high-level officials in the EU have suggested the idea in the past.

Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission and a former Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Luxembourg, is a long-time advocate for the creation of an EU army to combat the perceived threat to Europe from Russia.

“You would not create a European army to use it immediately,” he said. “But a common army among the Europeans would convey to Russia that we are serious about defending the values of the European Union.”

Ursula von der Leyen, Germany’s Minister of Defense and a close political ally of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, has openly suggested the creation of an EU army is inevitable.

“The European Army is our long-term goal, but first we have to strengthen the European Defence Union,” she said.

Nigel Farage, the head of UKIP, has blasted European Commission President Juncker for using manufactured crises as an excuse to push the creation of an EU army.

“We ourselves in the European Union provoked the conflict through our territorial expansionism in the Ukraine. We poked the Russian bear with a stick, and unsurprisingly, Putin reacted. But this now is to be used as an opportunity to build a European army… And Mr. Juncker said, we must convey to Russia that we are serious. Who do you think you are kidding, Mr. Juncker?”

Liam Fox, former Defense Minister under Prime Minister Cameron, has warned these initial plans demonstrate the EU has married itself to the “dangerous fantasy” of a single continental army.

“Those of us who have always warned about Europe’s defence ambitions have always been told not to worry, but step-by-step that ever closer union is becoming a reality. We cannot afford to be conned in this referendum as we were conned in 1975,” he said.

Andrew Bridgen, the Conservative MP for North West Leicestershire, said: “This is the way the EU operates. The people were deceived about the aims of the EU in 1975 and they’re being deceived again today…This blows out of the water the Prime Minister’s claim that we’re being excluded from ever closer union. Voters are being hoodwinked once again.”

The prospect of the United Kingdom leaving the EU was a major topic of discussion as the global elite who compromise the Bilderberg Group gathered in Dresden, Germany this week.

“The Bilderberg Group has been nurturing the EU to life since the 1950s, and now they see their creation under dire threat,” said Charlie Skelton, a reporter for International Business Times covering Bilderberg.

“For Bilderberg, as for Goldman Sachs, the idea that there might be any kind of push-back against globalisation is a horrific one,” he continued.

... Clinton/Obama must be running scared
this morning, So you thought TRUMPMANIA
was a fluke? GET READY!

DRUDGE: "Hillary, Obama on WRONG side of history... "

Brexit: Britain Votes with Trump,
against Hillary, Obama

JOEL B. POLLAK  23 Jun 2016

British voters chose to “leave” the European Union on Thursday, defying the polls — and President Barack Obama, who had urged Britain to “remain” in the EU. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had also urged Britain to stay in the EU. Only Donald Trump had backed the campaign to leave.

Republican strategists had panned Trump’s decision to travel to the UK in the midst of campaign turmoil, and in the wake of his blistering attack on Hillary Clinton earlier this week.

Now, however, it looks like a risk that paid off handsomely, in the currency of foreign policy credibility.

Obama’s advice may have pushed some voters to “leave.” In April, he warned British voters they would be at the “back of the queue” in trade with the U.S. if they left the EU. Some, like Andrew Roberts, took offense, writing in the Wall Street Journal:

Surely—surely—this is an issue on which the British people, and they alone, have the right to decide, without the intervention of President Obama, who adopted his haughtiest professorial manner when lecturing us to stay in the EU, before making the naked threat that we would be sent “to the back of the queue” (i.e., the back of the line) in any future trade deals if we had the temerity to vote to leave.

Was my country at the back of the line when Winston Churchill promised in 1941 that in the event of a Japanese attack on the U.S., a British declaration of war on Japan would be made within the hour?

" ... England is now closer to the
true Europe than ever before”.

Europe’s Right Reacts With Joy And
Hope To British Brexit

OLIVER JJ LANE 24 Jun 2016

The right-wing parties of Europe who have been keenly watching
Britain’s EU referendum with an eye on their own efforts to exit
the European Union have reacted to the Brexit vote with jubilation today.

Leaders and activists of populist right parties from across the continent sent congratulations this morning and called for referendums for their own nations.

First among the leaders to offer his congratulations was Dutch Party for Freedom boss Geert Wilders who said in a press release this morning that “[today] will go down in history as Britain’s Independence Day. The Europhile elite has been defeated.

“Britain points Europe the way to the future and to liberation. It is time for a new start, relying on our own strength and sovereignty. [The same is true] in the Netherlands”.

Speaking on his desire to bring about a referendum on his own nation’s membership of the EU, Mr. Wilders said: “A recent survey (EenVandaag, Dutch television) shows that a majority of the Dutch want a referendum on EU membership. It also shows that more Dutch are in favour of exit than of remaining in the EU.

Quote
Also praising Britain for her historic decision and demanding their own referendum were the French, through Front National (FN) leader Marine Le Pen, presently surging in the polls for the presidential elections next year.

Changing her Twitter avatar to a Union Jack in celebration of the British, the FN leader wrote: “A victory of freedom! As I [have demanded] for years, it is now necessary to have a referendum in France and the countries of the EU”.

In Italy, leader of the Northern Leage (Lega Nord, LN) also heaped praise on the UK, writing: “Long live the courage of free citizens!

“Heart, head and pride fighting lies, threats and blackmail.

“Thanks to the UK, now it’s our turn”.

Well it's certainly been an interesting morning here in Scotland...

Brexit happened.   So yeah, there's that.

Cameron has resigned.

The Labour Party has mandated a Vote of No Confidence in their' Leader, Jeremy Corbin.

Scotland's First Minister Nichola Sturgeon has made a statement that a second Scottish Independence Referendum "is highly likely".

Northern Ireland's Gerry Adams, Senior Minister of the Sinn Fein Party is calling for a Referendum for Northern Ireland's exit from the UK.

Oh and Shares and the £ have plummeted.

...And all that before lunch.

Donald Trump:
Britons 'Took Back Control of Their Country'

Friday, 24 Jun 2016 04:46 AM

Donald Trump thrust himself into the heart of Britain's internal struggle on Friday, saying Britons had retaken control of their country by voting to leave the European Union.

In Scotland to reopen a golf resort, the wealthy New York businessman stopped to take questions from reporters after arriving in his signature helicopter at Turnberry near his clubhouse resort, a Scottish flag blowing in the wind.

Asked about Thursday's down-to-the-wire British vote, Trump said: "They took back control of their country. It's a great thing."

"People are angry, all over the world, they're angry," said Trump, who turned 70 this month.

Quote
"They're angry over borders, they're angry over people coming into the country and taking over. Nobody even knows who they are. They're angry about many, many things."

Asked if he meant in the United States or the United Kingdom, Trump said: "There's plenty of other places. This will not be the last."

Weeks ago Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee for the Nov. 8 presidential election, said he would be inclined to leave the EU. On Friday he told reporters:

"I said this was going to happen and I think that it's a great thing."

Wearing a white hat emblazoned with his "Make America Great Again" campaign slogan, Trump walked up the steps toward the clubhouse with daughter Ivanka and son Eric. Two bagpipers walked ahead of them.

Dear God, I can only hope not!?

...However us Scots and Irish can be so bloody patriotic sometimes that I fear we might go all Braveheart and charge into Independence without even pausing to yell FREEDOM...   Hopefully common sense will prevail.
