Barack Obama speaks Wednesday at a Democratic rally in Dallas' Reunion Arena. Police were told to stop screening people for weapons before the rally began. DALLAS -- Security details at Barack Obama's rally Wednesday stopped screening people for weapons at the front gates more than an hour before the Democratic presidential candidate took the stage at Reunion Arena. The order to put down the metal detectors and stop checking purses and laptop bags came as a surprise to several Dallas police officers who said they believed it was a lapse in security. Dallas Deputy Police Chief T.W. Lawrence, head of the Police Department's homeland security and special operations divisions, said the order -- apparently made by the U.S. Secret Service -- was meant to speed up the long lines outside and fill the arena's vacant seats before Obama came on. "Sure," said Lawrence, when asked if he was concerned by the great number of people who had gotten into the building without being checked. But, he added, the turnout of more than 17,000 people seemed to be a "friendly crowd." The Secret Service did not return a call from the Star-Telegram seeking comment. Doors opened to the public at 10 a.m., and for the first hour security officers scanned each person who came in and checked their belongings in a process that kept movement of the long lines at a crawl. Then, about 11 a.m., an order came down to allow the people in without being checked. Several Dallas police officers said it worried them that the arena was packed with people who got in without even a cursory inspection. They spoke on condition of anonymity because, they said, the order was made by federal officials who were in charge of security at the event. Not that I'm suggesting that there was anything sinister in this story, but WTF? You have Barack Obama, a popular black candidate for President whose security detail has had to be buffed up due to increased threats on his life. You don't add Secret Service protection early to Obama's security because of threats to his life only to have them act like it's more important to speed the flow of people in to see him because they "seemed like a friendly crowd" rather than take the necessary steps to keep him and everyone else in that building safe. This needs to be investigated and whoever gave that order dismissed. Or this generation will experience the same trauma that mine did: the assassination of a charismatic, popular political leader. |

Whoever hacked into the site also posted a doctored photograph showing American troops watching over four people lined up against a wall. Each of the four prisoners had lines leading away from their faces to individual head shots of President Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Sen. John McCain, according to Dallas-Fort Worth television station KTVT. "My understanding is that no internal police data has been affected," police spokesman Lt. Vernon Hale said. Hale said the department's technology staff will work to get the site back up. He said he was unaware of hackers ever taking over the site before.

Graduations for the Dallas, Duncanville, Mesquite and Plano school districts, plus a two-day Baptist youth conference. Nothing is booked beyond that. Mr. Caudell says a few organizers have expressed interest in conducting events at Reunion Arena after June 30, however. He's keeping their information handy in case city leaders decide to extend the facility's operational life.

I'm of the opinion that if they take Obama out it will be after the general election. It wouldn't surprise me that the elites would let him win the nomination, and I think he would win over crazyman McCain. I just hope to Hanna that he doesn't pick KKKlinton as his VP, then it would be the same set up as it was between JFK and LBJ. Creepy beyond words, yet the elites like to use the same template over, and over again. This would be the only sure way KKKlinton could ascend to the big chair, because she might loose to McCookoo.
I pray every day that it doesn't play out this way. I really do. No matter how one felt about JFK's politics, and there were things he did, or was about to do that were good, his murder was a horrible American experience to live through, and it still resonates with me.

The morning of the event I woke up to someone banging on my door. It was a friend of mine named Jason from Denton and he wanted to know if I wanted to go to the Obama rally. I said OK got dressed and we were off. When we got there all the parking at the arena was full. When we were driving around we asked a cop where we could park and one of the options she gave us was Deep Ellum which is clear across downtown Dallas. Thankfully this woman was alking by and heard our conversation and she said that we could park by some apartments across the trinity river and she said it was about a mile walk. So we found a parking spot and headed back towards the event. When we got there it seemed like no one knew what was going on. We talked with a cap and she said there was two lines into the building; there was only one. We talked with several voluteers who said the line started "over there" and by the way it was moving we should get into the build preaty quick. What they failed to say was that the line started at the bottem of a five level parking garage, snaked it's way to the top, back down and around one side of the arena to the one door they were letting people in. When we saw that we knew there was no way in hell we were going to get in. On our way back we asked if there was an over fflow area and on volunteer said yes but they did not know where it was. We walked around to the other side of the building and found a little platform surrounded by a metal baracade and anoter divider 5 feet in front of that with at least 30 cops in uniform (around ten on hourseback) and about 5 people from TSA (Department of Homland Security). Jasom talked with the people from TSA and they said Obama was going to talk out here as well. So we got a place right by the baricade and waited about 30 minutes during which some of the people who could not get in the the event came over. After about 30 minutes one of Obama's staffer came out and said that Obama was not going to talk at the overflow area and he said it had something to do with the crowd coming out after the event. that did not sit well with the people outside; some people started to shout his name, others asked why we could not go in there and he could speak again and other said why can't he come out here and say a word before the people were let out. When the staffer was talking I was looking at the cops who were laughing and the TSA people whe were looking at each other like what the hell is going on here. We waited about 30 more miniutes and during that time we heard that the secret service would not let him come out due to security concerns. I thought if they were so concerned about security whey were the not making people go through a metal detector on the way in. After we saw them start to break the podium down we left. All in all I say it was a poorly prepaired event.

seems to me this would work in the favor of those elites who hold power now.Let a popular black man running for president win the nomination then allow him to be assassinated which in effect would cause massive rioting within the country and would allow the President to declare it a national emergency and call out his troops to quell the violence.Martial law would be in effect.How long this would last is anybodies guess....

I sincerely believe that there is a significant chance Obama will become President. This will fulfill the intentions of NWO demagogues since they can have him assasinated at any time, as exemplified by Yesterdays' stand-down of security at Obama's DALLAS rally. An assasination of a President at this juncture in History and especially A FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT would cause a massive surge of unrest and a subsequent excuse for TOTAL MARTIAL LAW Implimentation. I don't wish to see either of the dems as president, but I certainly don't want to see Obama hurt. What a mess, I hope this was a mistake but I wasn't born yesterday, either. A successful attempt on him would mean disaster for the whole country. Riots, martial law, chaos.  |
