I mean really, why give them our minds for any length of time.  Dont let them suck you in to their lies, their view of the world.  I hope Im preaching to the choir.  I stopped watching all mainstream news since the last GOP "debate" at the Reagan library.  I just got so mad.  Anyway, this is our power lets use it.  Ghandi would have done it.  Hopefully this idea will spread to the millions who religiously watch that crap.  Take away their power to influence our country, tune out.

If only we could get people to do that, realize that TV is NOT a necessity, but an addiction.  I think I've said it before elsewhere on this forum, but on nearly every remote control (ironic name, isn't it?  Whom or what is being controlled remotely?) there is a button used to turn the tube on or off, and it's usually labeled "Power."  It's in our hands.

But once you learn how to properly observe MSM programming, it actually becomes a great teachers of the principals of propaganda and suggestion.

It also shows you how's in charge... viagra, lunesta, spiriva, lavitra.. CNN is just plastered with big pharma adds.

I stopped watching TV 12 years ago. There is no question about it it totally programmes people to think and act within the boundaries it portrays. The first step to becoming a free individual is to turn it off.

Every time I try to watch the MSM  I become Irate at the lies and deception broadcast to the public.  The propoganda  shown , such as the NIU shooting has been shown almost every hour non stop and all for the reason to give the gun grabbers more power as the sheeple will back them.

The subliminal messages : the government you must trust: Guns are evil: Iran has Nukes: McCain is (could not think of anything nice to say): Hillary cares( choke cough): Obama (Huh): Geoge Bush gives you $$$( then takes $$$$$$$).
What it comes down to is that people dont think for themselves or use common sense anymore.  If its on the news it must be true , What BullSh#T !!!

right on people!  What can we do?  Stand on the corner with a sign, sport bumper stickers on our cars, wear t-shirts, etc.  Maybe if more people smoked pot their eyes would open?  Turn on, tune in, drop out.  We need another revolution like in the 60's, a mental revolution.

I just watch it for Ron Paul in the debates, he gets me so fired up!  And I like to kick back and watch LOST or Firefly, but thats it.  Rupert Murdoch and Time Warner and NBC Universal have nothing on me!

I have fully turned off any msm influence. In fact I only watch a few selected tv shows during a given week. The tv is no good, we are being trained, drawn in by stupid shows none of which have any real news value. With that is going on in the world and usa most people are more concerned with spears, lohan...but dont know about ttc or nau, its really sad. Time to wake the people around us, turn off the tv, get out, use your mind, check "alt" news souces, question things, think about things...

Know thine enemy. Correct. I study their methods and tactics. With every nervous sideways glance at the cameras, with every evasive maneuver they employ, with every well placed commercial break, and personal attacks, the list goes on. The good ones are the stuttering and stammering when someone brings up Ron Paul.

Priceless. I keep myself well informed of what they're up to and run it through the common sense and B.S. filter.
Just don't watch it too long. You know what they say......It'll rot your brain.

What idiot actually watches ANY news and is compelled to believe any of it?  Use your own common sense in deciphering the news.  Don't what these news stations and accuse them of being evil or good.  Journalist are journalist, they report the news as they see it..as THEY see it.  I laugh at you  you people that watch the nightly news and get your panties in a wad over it....you act as if you've never received news at all, and when you receive something that doesn't fit your world view, all of a sudden it's idiotic and evil.  Ther are new channels I don't trust, and no, I don't tune into them.  Why subject yourself to the abuse?

They are under no obligation to tell the truth. That's a fact. We get local and weather, the rest is mainly a lesson in BS, as most people have known for years.

Watch Michael Moore's Bowling for Colombine to see what MSM does to our society. Besides watching the weather and sports score, I couldn't give a shit about the news. Yeah...they'll hire a bunch of good lookin' crew, make some B-rated jokes, and then proceed to shit on us for the next 15 minutes with their scrare tactics and propaganda-death, murder, rapes, etc.

I've had enough a long time ago.

I've already have quit watching. I've been stationed in Korea for the last 8 months and since finding the truth I simply cannot bear to watch television period. Most of my time is spent lurking on these message boards or attempting to spread the message of truth to my fellow airmen, family, and friends. I find it extremely difficult to get the to wake up. But, the day before yesterday I did turn the TV on to the guide channel to see the time before getting ready to head out the door and almost fell over. The guide was scrolling and lo and behold, I hear an interview with none other than Alex Jones! This was on AFN (Armed Forces Network) guide channel, it probabably is on everywhere but our troops at least get a chance to hear him speak.  P.S. I'm doing my best here burning and giving away copies of Endgame, and the likes to anyone who is interested. Also, I leave copies of the movies in the breakrooms so people can watch if they want. I've been warned a few times by people that what I'm doing is dangerous but simply do not care, i'm doing my best to uphold my oath and trying to get everyone else too also.

I never watched TV anyway, and stopped getting the local paper a few years back after writing a scathing letter to the editor lamenting their high-school journalistic "new style".

Thanks for the comments! I think that everyone on here are heros and patriots. Believe it or not there are quite a few truthers in the military in Korea and if I can help it there will be many, many more. They are just low key about their beliefs, most are scared to talk about it. I have 18.5yrs in service now and I just want the best for America and her people. I frequently have group discussions now (at the juicy bars...lol), educating anyone who is willing to listen or argue Grin

I've stopped watching television over the past few months and have noticed a difference in the way I feel and see the world. All the advertisements destroy my mind. It's true, if you want mental clarity and to become a free thinker, turn off the television. Turn it off and leave it off. Turn it off and leave it off. I support a full boycott of shows, programs, stations, affiliates and the entire television. Learn about the enemy through the internet. Smash your television sets. Put Comcast out in the streets. You can't control or stop the programming that gets pumped into your brains through the advertisements. TURN IT OFF AND LEAVE IT OFF!

Television is not conducive to a free society.

Very true.  Definitely get rid of cable. Used to pay 80.00 to 100.00 and nothing would be on.  If you want more content you have to pay for "premium channels".  Another $20 to $40.  Want to watch more football and baseball games $200 to $300 more.  Got tired of paying to be brainwashed and advertised to.  Your inadequate or life is incomplete, buy more junk!!!  In the end, you subsidize to be brainwashed twice (possible more) by paying for the products they advertise and paying for the channels.

I watch more TV than I would like to admit, my girlfriend won't let the machine be off when she is home and gets on my case if i'm in the office for too long messing around on the web and wants me to be in the room with her, which is fine.  I get upset at news the channels for planning the same story over and over like. . . spears, lohan, natalie Holloway, howard Deans scream, etc.  By filling up the time slots with this crap they keep us americans stupid- I think that is one of there goals- to keep us "stupid"

An example of stupid I think is that most kids would rather eat crap like Kraft mac'n'cheese  then fresh wild game meat.  The television has removed the image of humans as animals from peoples mind.  They think we are something different because of our social structure but they must be reminded that we eat drink poop pee and mate just like all the other organisms on the planet
