Quote
Conservatives pick Donald Trump for president because the media picks on him.

Even the Fox News referees went Matthew Dellavedova hard on the billionaire at the basketball arena last night. Megyn Kelly lambasted the Donald for calling certain women “fat pigs” and “slobs.” Bret Baier raised his history of supporting “liberal”—fighting words in that crowd—policies. Chris Wallace, pointing to Trump companies declaring bankruptcy four times, asked: “Why should we trust you to run the nation’s business?”

But the slings and arrows, which didn’t kill the candidate, likely make him stronger.

From Richard Nixon through George W. Bush, the intensity of the Right’s support for a politician correlates most closely not to his commitment to conservatism but to the degree of displeasure the politician causes journalists. You can impose price controls or attempt to foist illegal-immigration amnesty on the American people. Just don’t turn Chris Matthews’ sneer into a smile, receive a party invitation from Maureen Dowd, or allow something halfway nice about you to appear at the Huffington Post.

Conservatives hate the media more than they love their principles.

A Ted Kennedy donor who regarded himself as “very pro-choice,” urged his countrymen to “reexamine the single-payer plan,” and called the banker bailout “something that has to get done” does not appear as an identikit candidate for the Republican presidential nomination. But CNNMSNBCNewYorkTimesNPR despises him, and smiting enemies, not instituting principles, stands as priority one.

Surely other forces propel the Trump wave.

Trump the candidate strikes as the anti-Obama. The Donald and the teleprompter belong together like mustard and ice cream. The current president came to the office with little private sector experience. His would-be successor embodies the Calvin Coolidgism, “The business of America is business.” For Americans tired of living in a repeat of the 1970s through much of the Obama presidency, awarding the job to a job creator appeals.

His sway over a group accustomed to playing a punching bag stems in large part from his impulse to punch back—hard. When Univision attacked him for his strong restrictionist stance on immigration, he barred its executives from his golf courses. When Neil Young objected to Trump’s use of “Rockin’ in the Free World”—after harboring no such qualms (as Pete Townshend did for “Won’t Get Fooled Again”) when Michael Moore sought it for the cinematic conspiracy theory Fahrenheit 911—Trump tweeted out a picture of the Canadian musician begging for dollars at his office. He responded to Lindsey Graham calling him a “jackass” by giving out the senator’s cell phone number.

Trump, like the Kinks, loudly and frequently announces: I’m not like everybody else. Sixteen candidates rush to prove that they fit in. One guy dares to stand out. Even the ill-advised debate decision to refuse to back the party’s nominee separated Trump from the pack. That’s necessary on such a crowded stage.

Entering the race with the most money and name recognition helps. His ability to speak for rather than speak to the party base on illegal immigration generates enthusiastic support. And “Make America Great Again,” in melding two uncontroversial sentiments—America lost its mojo and regaining it sounds nice—surely beats “He’ll Do for America What He Did to the USFL” as a campaign slogan.

Worse strategies exist than taking reverse marching orders from the media. Previously, Republican primary voters tended to treat the nomination as a lifetime achievement award, strangely making a winner of the last go-around’s loser. Proven losers (Mitt Romney, John McCain, Bob Dole) generally proved to lose. Go figure.

And some wisdom colors the impulse to choose the candidate that the New York Times chooses to hate most. From experience, GOP voters know that whoever they nominate becomes the devil anyway.

Trump seems too thick-skinned to pull a Ross Perot and bolt. A more likely scenario sees his asset becoming a detriment in his loose lips sinking his ship. An abrasive style necessarily wears thin, so what sounds refreshing in August may grate seven or so months from now on Super Tuesday.

Then again, the Washingtonspeak of his gaggle of opponents grates terribly, which explains their troubles in the polls and preference for going for his voters rather than his jugular. John Kasich last night offering, “We need to take lessons from Donald Trump if we’re really going to learn,” sums up the challenge facing the apprentices. They either learn from Trump’s success this summer or bow to him at the convention next summer

SAY WHAT?!? Donald Trump Wants Oprah as a Running Mate
Donald Trump is running for POTUS and wants Oprah to do it with him.
by:Sapphira Martin
Jun. 17, 2015

...
In an interview set to air on ABC with “Good Morning America” co-anchor, George Stephanopoulos, Trump discussed the possibility of having Oprah Winifrey as his running mate, which was a notion he floated back in 1999 when he was flirting with the possibility of being a Reform Party presidential candidate.

"I think Oprah would be great,” he added. “I’d love to have Oprah. I think we’d win easily, actually.” ...
Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole ; He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. - Job 5

Just heard on radio Republican party forcing Trump to sign pledge  that he won't run 3rd party, or he won't be included in future debates.  I have mentioned before the party is bigger than the man. MR. TRUMP if you pledge that, You LOSE.

It's crony corporatism.  Socialist interests get rich by giving things like the Obama Phone @ 200.00 a month. Crony capitalists  get inside track deals on business opportunities. MONEY PEOPLE PLAY WHATEVER GAME IS IN SEASON.

Over the last 15 years…Donald Trump has been a prolific financial supporter of MANY candidates however…his record shows that over those past 15 years…Trump has given more of his money to DEMOCRATS than to REPUBLICANS and in amongst those democrats…liberals and socialists to whom Trump has supported with his money, we find the ilk of Nancy Pelosi and Hillary Clinton along with a handful of Hillary’s pals.

Oh yeah, she won't be on his ticket.

Ann Coulter said last night that most of these Republicans running for president are still wishy-washy on IMMIGRATION.  Even after Trump put immigration at the top of the list.  This tells you that most of the others are controlled.

“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump:
or the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised
incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
(1 Corinthians 15:52)

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first.”
(1 Thessalonians 4:16)

FIRESTORM ERUPTS OVER
TRUMP'S 'BIBLE CONNECTION'

Christian minister claims God using the Donald for divine warning
JOE KOVACS

A Christian minister in Florida has ignited a firestorm over his suggestion that God is using Donald Trump as a divine instrument in the 2016 presidential election cycle.

In a column published in Charisma magazine, Jeremiah Johnson of Behold the Man Ministries in Lakeland, Florida, said he was praying several weeks ago “when God began to speak to me concerning the destiny of Donald Trump in America:”

The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, “Trump shall become My trumpet to the American people, for he possesses qualities that are even hard to find in My people these days. Trump does not fear man nor will he allow deception and lies to go unnoticed. I am going to use him to expose darkness and perversion in America like never before, but you must understand that he is like a bull in a china closet.

Many will want to throw him away because he will disturb their sense of peace and tranquility, but you must listen through the bantering to discover the truth that I will speak through him. I will use the wealth that I have given him to expose and launch investigations searching for the truth. Just as I raised up Cyrus to fulfill My purposes and plans, so have I raised up Trump to fulfill my purposes and plans prior to the 2016 election.

You must listen to the trumpet very closely for he will sound the alarm and many will be blessed because of his compassion and mercy. Though many see the outward pride and arrogance, I have given him the tender heart of a father that wants to lend a helping hand to the poor and the needy, to the foreigner and the stranger.”

Donald Trump Now Seems to Want to Continue to Fund Planned Parenthood
Onan Coca - 4 hours ago - FreedomOutpost - excerpted

Editor's Note: This is one of many things that I meant by thinking that Donald Trump is a liberal. One week he wants to completely defund Planned Parenthood (a Constitutional position) and the next week he wants to fund them, except for abortions (an unconstitutional position). The problem is that the Constitution doesn't allows for funding of other organizations like Planned Parenthood at all and when they are funded, you can't control where that money goes and for what. This is why it would be important for these presidential candidates to answer a simple constitutional question.

...At first Trump sounds like a solid conservative on the issue;

"The problem that I have with Planned Parenthood is the abortion situation. It is like an abortion factory, frankly. And you can't have it. And you just shouldn't be funding it. That should not be funded by the government, and I feel strongly about that."

However, when pushed just a little by the uber-liberal Chris Cuomo, Trump folds like a house of cards.

"What I would do when the time came, I'd look at the individual things they do, and maybe some of the individual things they do are good. I know a lot of the things are bad. But certainly the abortion aspect of it should not be funded by government, absolutely."

A moment later Trump adds, "I would look at the good aspects of [Planned Parenthood], and I would also look, because I'm sure they do some things properly and good and that are good for women, and I would look at that, and I would look at other aspects also. But we have to take care of women."...

I won't vote for him and hope he drops out soon.

I don't want a president:

1. who is a womanizer
2. who's contribution and experience  is shady underworld mafia casino running
3. who took a major dive financially, had to sell hotels and was brought back up by powers that be
4. who actually goes after little old ladies financially
5. who did a completely non-realistic and stupid *reality* tv show

and finally #6?  How can anyone with all that wealth wear a completely fake-looking rug like THAT!  Get a grip Donald.  Truly, the only taste that surrounded him was Ivanna.  Too bad his taste is all in his mouth.

http://www.cnn.com/2015/08/12/politics/iowa-donald-trump-poll-cnn-orc/index.html

CNN / ORC Poll: Trump tops in Iowa as Scott Walker drops

Trump tops the field with 22% and is the candidate seen as best able to handle top issues including the economy, illegal immigration and terrorism. He's most cited as the one with the best chance of winning the general election, and, by a wide margin, as the candidate most likely to change the way things work in Washington.

Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson follows Trump in overall preference with 14%, bumping Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who had held the top spot in most recent public polling in Iowa, down to third place with 9%. Walker is nearly even with a slew of other candidates.

Previous public polls had found Carson with around 10% support, but most were released before last week's debate. A Suffolk University poll of Iowa Republicans released Tuesday found Carson's closing remarks to be the most memorable moment for those who watched the prime time debate.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz follows the top three at 8%, with businesswoman Carly Fiorina and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee both at 7%. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is tied at 5% with senators Rand Paul and Marco Rubio. The rest of the field stands at 3% or less.

Black Lives Matter Vow to Target Trump Campaign Events
Paul Joseph Watson  | August 12, 2015

Following Donald Trump’s promise that he would physically remove any Black Lives Matter activists who interrupted his campaign events, a leader of the protest group today guaranteed that such action is being planned.

Daunasia Yancey, founder and lead organizer of Black Lives Matter in Boston, told CNN’s Carol Costello that it was “terrible” that Trump had made “actual threats of violence against black people.”

“He’s actually one of the most powerful men in this country who’s vying for the most powerful position in this country. And so his public and proud threats and demeanor actually to me make him an unviable candidate for the presidency,” said Yancey.

When asked if Black Lives Matter would target Trump’s campaign events, Yancey responded, “I can guarantee there will be more call-outs across the country by folks in the network.”

“So we’ll see how strong Donald Trump really is in other words, right?” asked Costello, to which Yancey responded, “I guess so.”

  http://newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/pj-gladnick/2015/08/09/msm-fails-note-sorosmoneymatters-only-targeting-hillary-opponents

SOROS WANTS TO TAKE OUT BERNIE AND DONALD.  THE MAN WHO TURNED ON HIS OWN--THE JEWS IN GERMANY DURING WW2-- AND NOW AMERICA AND THE ENTIRE WORLD--- WANTS HILLARY IN THE WHITE HOUSE.

MSM Fails to Note that #SorosMoneyMatters Only Targeting Hillary Opponents

Imagine if the Koch brothers had financed a group that was regularly disrupting and shutting down events of candidates that they opposed. Does anybody doubt that the Koch connection would come up in the first paragraph, if not the first sentence, of most news stories about such disruptions? Yet somehow, complete silence from the MSM on the connection of George Soros to #BlackLivesMatter even though he is the providing most of the finances to that organization. Also mysterious is how the MSM also fails to note that Hillary Clinton, whom Soros supports, has not had her events disrupted by #SorosMoneyMatters (also known as #BlackLivesMatter).

Two who were targeted by #SorosMoneyMatters were Hillary opponents Martin O'Malley and Bernie Sanders. The latter had the misfortune of having not only his large Seattle speech on Saturday, with an estimated 12,000 in the audience, disrupted but also completely shut down. Here is a sad video of several #BlackLivesMatter payees shutting down that Seattle speech as poor Bernie comes off as a hapless Elmer Fudd, unable to stand up to the Soros payroll.

The strong financial connection between billionaire George Soros and #BlackLivesMatter was revealed recently by Tom Blumer on NewsBusters which included this quote from investigative reporter Kelly Riddell of the Washington Times:

...Black Lives Matter is really an umbrella slogan kind of group that encompasses a lot of social justice workers and a lot of social justice organizations. And it's a group that was started by three women that work at Soros-backed organizations that are into community organizing, into kind of riling up activists.

Even the normally clueless DUers at the Democratic Underground are several steps ahead of the MSM as to who is financing #BlackLivesMatter and why as can be seen in these observations from peacebird:

BlackLivesMatter was given million$ by Soros after Ferguson. soros=Hillary Benefactor.

Begs the question: are BLM only targetting Bernie to swiftboat him for hillary?

...Has Hillary been targetted by BLM? No. Is Soros her supporter, Yes. Is he funding BLM, Yes.

It begs the question, why is only Bernie getting attacked?

BlackLivesMatter is looking more and more like a partisan Swiftboat group

A poll at the site shows 71% of the respondents agree with peacebird. Meanwhile silence from the MSM as to the seemingly ulterior but really very obvious motives of #BlackLivesMatter.

Trump continually rises in the Polls: this tell me that only Trump will beat Trump:

...as long as he stays the course; The White House is his...

Americans across the spectrum do like this mans candor; and it is refreshing to hear, instead of the LIARS from DC!

I just saw on FOX that Trump [22%] won Iowa and Carson [16%] came in second with Walked third. [I didn't hear his %]

I think Walker had 9%, with Jeb and Rand on 5%.

Just as I raised up Cyrus to fulfill My purposes and plans, so have I raised up Trump to fulfill my purposes and plans prior to the 2016 election.

Miley Cyrus? I think I'll file this under 'sceptical'.

Digg has unearthed this Web 1.0 gem from 2006 featuring none other than Donald Trump himself.

In this flash-based ad for All, we have an oddly soft and incredibly helpful Donald. He does the laundry, he washes the dishes, he mops the floors! Is there anything The Donald can't do? The entire thing is legit, with Donald coming in for a photoshoot and recording his voice to use in the game.

The ad seems strangely prescient considering the slew of comments Donald has been directing at women lately, and we have to admit, it's a little satisfying seeing Donald hard at work, sort of.

I think they just strung Hillary Clinton along, ever since they made a fake promise to her at Bilderberg that she would inherit the Throne after King Obama.

Just my opinion of course.

This is very interesting news.

Maybe Donald was positioned in case of Hillary's fall -- Puppet Strings, and all.

EG - I think you are right.  They made a promise to her for the Presidency, but they cannot follow through on it.  She was all done with Benghazi.  I wouldn't be surprised that her fall with the current emails is perpetrated by those who promised her the Presidency

IMO she would have been worse than Obama.  All the LGBT crap that would have gone through.

Because of the 2 relatives that have been killed by illegals in my family, I'M PUTTING MY MONEY ON TRUMP.

I had not thought of that, but now that you mention it . . ..
Sounds highly probable !

Oh for sure, she would have bent over backwards to accommodate her lesbian buddies, and imported illegals because she hates america.

While I understand why your more than just angry, is Trump really going to do anything ?

I think he is going to BUILD THAT FENCE.  We need to protect Americans such as Jackson Holly and Alex Jones that live near the border.

I do have reservations about Trump BUT WE ARE ON THE VERGE OF GETTING INTO WW3 ANYWAY.
