U.D.O. - They Want War

"U.D.O." was former known as "Accept", Alex has played "Balls to the Wall" of them.

Quote from: U.D.O. - They Want War

They are young and they're kids
and believe what they see
To do what they've been told
And so they walk away with open eyes

Some are eight or nine or ten
And they die like a fly, and no one knows
Who they are, they're smaller than the gun they load

See their eyes open wide
They died before they ever cried

They die in the streets and they die in the fields
When they do what they've been told
But now they're lying dead
Their eyes are closed

Some are eight or nine or ten
And they die like a fly and no one knows
Who they are, they're smaller than the gun they load

See their eyes open wide, they died before they ever cried
Who taught them how, how to pray
Who told them they're in paradise when they're gonna die

They are blind and they can't fight
They want war
They are blind and they can't fight
They want war
They are blind and they can't fight
They want war
They are blind and they can't fight
They want war
They are blind and they can't fight
They want war
They are blind and they can't fight
They want war...

You're gonna pay the price, you little devil in disguise

For taking life with no regard, you'll go to hell
And there you'll burn

Children in the battlefield, please don't go

Little birds with fluttering hearts, please don't go

Die Toten Hosen - Here comes Alex  Cheesy

Die Toten Hosen is a  Punkband from Germany.

Quote from: Lyrics - Here comes Alex
In a world designed by the men in grey
who decide how we live and breathe,
there's a masterplan for the company man
from the cradle to the company grave.

They thought that you'd be happy
with your place in the national scheme
and your carefully measured freedom
to conform to the corporate dream.

But there's a virus in the software here
that shows like a cancer trace.
When you thought it was safe to relax,
it's back right in your face.

Hey, here comes Alex -
and there's nowhere left for you to go.
Hey, here comes Alex -
yes it's true, your darkest nightmare, horrorshow.

There's something here can't be denied
to satisfy their greed,
if they say we don't care what you want
'cause we know what you need.

As history will repeat itself
and hate on violence feeds,
in every man a darker side
just waiting to be freed.

Hey, here comes Alex -
and there's nowhere left for you to go.
Hey, here comes Alex -
yes it's true, your darkest nightmare, horrorshow.

So you watch the meters ridin
and the silent pressure grows,
the hate inside is rising,
the one you've always known.

When the time is passed for talking
and you've stepped across that line,
I will return - vengeance will be mine.

Hey, here comes Alex -
and there's nowhere left for you to go.
Hey, here comes Alex -
yes it's true, your darkest nightmare, horrorshow.
Hey, here comes Alex -
and there's nowhere left for you to go.

here`s the german Version of this Song
Hier kommt Alex

Ain't No Easy Way by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eguT7884cB4

Lyrics:

It's easy to fall in love
When you fall in love you know you're done
You got easy eyes to hunt
When the world above needs your blood
In the cold veins of the richest man
He'll pay your way to steal her hand
There ain't no easy way no there ain't no easy way out
There ain't no easy way no there ain't no easy way out
There ain't no easy way no there ain't no easy way out

It's easy to fall in love
When you've run your luck you know you're done
And the last kiss had a fool's cost
Now your tired eyes could only haunt

There ain't no easy way no there ain't no easy way out
There ain't no easy way no there ain't no easy way out
There ain't no easy way no there ain't no easy way out

There ain't no easy way no there ain't no easy way out
There ain't no easy way no there ain't no easy way out
There ain't no easy way no there ain't no easy way out
There ain't no easy way no there ain't no easy way out
There ain't no easy way no there ain't no easy way out
There ain't no easy way no there ain't no easy way out
It's easy to fall in love when you fall in love you know you're done

Maybe not an opener, but Im surprized Ive never heard Alex use

"Working Class Hero"

Originally by John Lennon, and recently covered by Green Day.....

Another real good one by Green Day: Holiday

Here's the Lyrics:

********************************************

Hear the sound of the falling rain
Coming down like an Armageddon flame (Hey!)
The shame
The ones who died without a name

Hear the dogs howling out of key
To a hymn called "Faith and Misery" (Hey!)
And bleed, the company lost the war today

I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
On holiday

Hear the drum pounding out of time
Another protester has crossed the line (Hey!)
To find, the money's on the other side

Can I get another Amen? (Amen!)
There's a flag wrapped around a score of men (Hey!)
A gag, a plastic bag on a monument

I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
On holiday

(Hey!)
(Say, hey!)

(3,4)

"The representative from California has the floor"

Sieg Heil to the president Gasman
Bombs away is your punishment
Pulverize the Eiffel towers
Who criticize your government
Bang bang goes the broken glass and
Kill all the fags that don't agree
Trials by fire, setting fire
Is not a way that's meant for me
Just cause, just cause, because we're outlaws yeah!

I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives

This is our lives on holiday

********************************

I think this one fits particularly well.

Chant Down Babylon
Bob Marley

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwd0d3W8eiw

Come we go burn down babylon one more time
(come we go burn down babylon one more time);
Come we go chant down babylon one more time
(come we go chant down babylon);
For them soft! yes, them soft! (ah-yoy!)
Them soft! yes, them soft! (ah-yoy!)
So come we go chant down babylon one more time
(come we go chant down babylon)!

Men see their dreams and aspiration-a
Crumble in front of their face,
And all of their wicked intention
To destroy the human race.

And how I know - and how I know - and thats how I know:
A reggae music, mek we chant down babylon;
With music, mek we chant down babylon;
This music, mek we chant down babylon;
This music, come we chant down babylon.

Come we go chant down babylon one more time
(come we go chant down babylon one more time);
Come we go chant down babylon one more time
(come we go chant down babylon);
For them soft! yes, them soft! (ah-yoy!)
Them soft! me say, them soft! (ah-yoy!)
So come we go chant down babylon one more time
(come we go chant down babylon)!

Me say, music youre - music youre the key,
Talk to who? please talk to me,
Bring the voice of - of the rastaman,
Communicating to - cating to everyone.

How I (know) - how I know, how I (know) - how I know -
And thats how I know:
A reggae music, chant down - chant down - chant down babylon,
Chant down babylon, chant down babylon,
Chant down babylon!
Reggae music, chant down babylon!
Reggae music, chant down babylon!
Reggae music, chant down babylon!
Reggae music! (chant down babylon) /fadeout/

Apoptygma Berzerk - In This Together

Music Video

Quote
Should I've seen this coming
Should I've known this
Shouldn`t have let it happen
My mistake alright
Stuck again
Doing my thing
Too alike yet far apart
What felt so good once is breaking me
And tearing us apart again
chorus
Don`t you see
We`re in this together
You and me
One on one forever
repeat
I know it`s self-inflicted
We`re way too desperate
Way too addicted
But I can`t help the way I feel
I know it`s time to be strong
Now when all hope is gone
And when what felt so good once
Is breaking me
And tearing us apart again

And in your troubled eyes I see
Someone who carried me somehow
Like footprints in the sand
You`ve been behind me all along
We got it wrong from the start
Now it`s you and me
Let`s hit it on
Don`t you see it`s you and me against the world

we`re in this together...

Song Fits quite well wouldn't you say?

Doing a 9/11/01 Ron Paul Music Video that I will Post Later.... Cool

Are metallica really suitable after that whole Napster debacle?
Surely they threw away their right to be given any regard by declaring war on their own fans?

They didn't do much as to declare war on their fans. What really happened is they started putting to much shit up their nose it started rotting their minds. They figured that Napster was preventing them from putting more shit up their nose. Snowblind.

Theme song from "Growing Pains":

http://skyroo.com/kirkcameron/kirk.html

Show me that smile again. (Show me that smile)
Don’t waste another minute on your cryin’.
We're nowhere near the end (nowhere near)
The best is ready to begin.

Oooohhh. As long as we got each other
We got the world spinnin right in our hands.
Baby you and me, we gotta be
The luckiest dreamers who never quit dreamin’.

As long as we keep on givin’
we can take anything that comes our way
Baby, rain or shine, all the time
We got each other Sharin’ the laughter and love.

Just funnin' in the prior post  Tongue

Now, more seriously, how about a little punk, from the very same band that provided the theme song for Jackass.  This one's from the year 1984, ironically, and it has an absolutely perfect intro, a perfect title and the content most certainly works here!

The Minutemen
This Is Ain't No Picnic

Great Video, starring no less than Ronald Reagan:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2018462681152952557&q=minutemen+this+is+ain%27t+no+picnic&ei=XpIzSPW_G4H2qAO21-WfCQ

"Working on the edge
Losing my self-respect
For a man who presides over me
The principles of his creed
Punch in punch out
Eight hours five days a week
Sweat pain and agony
On Friday I'll get paid

THIS AIN'T NO PICNIC (4x)

Hey mister don't look down on me
For what I believe
I got my bills and the rent
I should pitch a tent
But our land is not free
So I'll work my youth away
In the place of a machine
I REFUSE TO BE A SLAVE!

THIS AIN'T NO PICNIC!"

Try the song "High Clover," and "Keeper of the Farm," I am in bluegrass heaven listening. In fact all her songs are great!

When we all give the power
We all give the best
Every minute in the hour
We don't think about the rest

And we all get the power
We all get the best
When everyone gives everything
Then everyone everything will get
Life is life!

Life is life
When we all feel the power
Life is life
When we all feel the pain
Life is life
It's the feeling of the people
Life is life
It is the feeling of the land.

When we all give the power
We all give the best
Every minute in the hour
We don't think about the rest
And everyone gives everything
And every soul everyone will feel
Life is life!

And we're all glad it's over
We thought it would last
Every minute of the future
Is a memory of the past
Coz' we gave all the power
We gave all the best
And everyone lost everything
And perished with the rest.
Life is life

This is the truth spoken from someone who has had their freedom taken away.

Well it wouldnt fit in but its a very beautiful song.

David Sylvian - For the Love of Life
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=queC8HpMETY

---
For the love of life
We'll defeat this
They may tear us down
But we'll go down fighting

Won't we?
---

It was used as ending theme for the anime Monster. Very good story, thrilling, twisted, psycho. Check it out.

Truth
Composer: Todd Rundgren

I'm gonna find it, I'm gonna find the truth
Cause it ain't here, it's nowhere near
I gotta find it, I gotta find the truth
If I lose my mind, well I don't care

The truth is in plain contradiction
The truth is not in this situation
The truth is it's my only salvation
The truth is not here

I tried to find it looking in the works of man
And if it's there it's sure not clear
I thought I saw it somwhere [sic] in a starry sky
And if it's there, I'm stuck down here

The truth is like chasing a phantom
The truth is so seemingly random
The truth is not easily handled
The truth is not here

The truth is stranger than fiction

I gotta find the truth
If I have to stand all day in the bright sunshine
I gotta find it, I'm gonna find the truth
If I have to dance all night, leave my body behind

Because the truth is never gonna look for me
I will never get to see what I have not earned
And the truth is, if that day should never come
That doesn't mean I was wrong
To try to capture that bird

Sweet bird of truth, come to me

(Jefferson Airplane)

You are the Crown of Creation
You are the Crown of Creation
and you've got no place to go.

Soon you'll attain the stability you strive for
in the only way that it's granted
in a place among the fossils of our time.

In loyalty to their kind
they cannot tolerate our minds.
In loyalty to our kind
we cannot tolerate their obstruction.

Life is Change
How it differs from the rocks
I've seen their ways too often for my liking
New worlds to gain
My life is to survive
and be alive
for you.

Jefferson Airplane...nice, very nice!

I've been going through my Dylan collection this weekend, and rediscovered a real gem from 1979's "Slow Train Coming" album...and it's PERFECT for these times and our truth movement!

"When You Gonna Wake Up"

"God don't make no promises that He don't keep.
You got some big dreams, baby, but in order to dream you gotta still be asleep.

When you gonna wake up, when you gonna wake up
When you gonna wake up and strengthen the things that remain?

Counterfeit philosophies have polluted all of your thoughts.
Karl Marx has got ya by the throat, Henry Kissinger's got you tied up in knots.

When you gonna wake up, when you gonna wake up
When you gonna wake up and strengthen the things that remain?

You got innocent men in jail, your insane asylums are filled,
You got unrighteous doctors dealing drugs that'll never cure your ills.

When you gonna wake up, when you gonna wake up
When you gonna wake up and strengthen the things that remain?

You got men who can't hold their peace and women who can't control their tongues,
The rich seduce the poor and the old are seduced by the young.

When you gonna wake up, when you gonna wake up
When you gonna wake up and strengthen the things that remain?

Adulterers in churches and pornography in the schools,
You got gangsters in power and lawbreakers making rules.

When you gonna wake up, when you gonna wake up
When you gonna wake up and strengthen the things that remain?

Spiritual advisors and gurus to guide your every move,
Instant inner peace and every step you take has got to be approved.

When you gonna wake up, when you gonna wake up
When you gonna wake up and strengthen the things that remain?

Do you ever wonder just what God requires?
You think He's just an errand boy to satisfy your wandering desires.

When you gonna wake up, when you gonna wake up
When you gonna wake up and strengthen the things that remain?

You can't take it with you and you know that it's too worthless to be sold,
They tell you, "Time is money" as if your life was worth its weight in gold.

When you gonna wake up, when you gonna wake up
When you gonna wake up and strengthen the things that remain?

There's a Man up on a cross and He's been crucified.
Do you have any idea why or for who He died?

When you gonna wake up, when you gonna wake up
When you gonna wake up and strengthen the things that remain"

Dave Matthews Band --  Don't Drink the Water

http://youtube.com/watch?v=wMAnYUwIhk0

Don't Drink the Water
Come out come out
No use in hiding
Come now come now
Can you not see?
There's no place here
What were you expecting
Not room for both
Just room for me
So you will lay your arms down
Yes I will call this home

Away away
You have been banished
Your land is gone
And given me
And here I will spread my wings
Yes I will call this home
What's this you say
You feel a right to remain
Then stay and I will bury you
What's that you say
Your father's spirit still lives in this place
I will silence you

Here's the hitch
Your horse is leaving
Don't miss your boat
It's leaving now
And as you go I will spread my wings
Yes I will call this home
I have no time to justify to you
Fool you're blind, move aside for me
All I can say to you my new neighbor
Is you must move on or I will bury you

Now as I rest my feet by this fire
Those hands once warmed here
I have retired them
I can breathe my own air
I can sleep more soundly
Upon these poor souls
I'll build heaven and call it home
'Cause you're all dead now
I live with my justice
I live with my greedy need
I live with no mercy
I live with my frenzied feeding
I live with my hatred
I live with my jealousy
I live with the notion
That I don't need anyone but me
Don't drink the water
There's blood in the water

Temporary Sanity
Composer: Todd Rundgren

I had such great expectations of the world's benevolence
Of benevolence
I prefer hallucinations 'cause they tend to make more sense
Than experience

But it was just another sneak attack of temporary sanity
It was a pleasant stay, but now I'm back from temporary sanity
My temporary sanity

I began to grow dependent on a thing called common sense
It was common sense
But my world grew too resplendent that the strain was too intense
Without self-defense

The pool spreads 'cross the pavement where the sniper made him lie
And he looks just like my youngest, and I'm watching him die
I must remind myself I've seen this, it's all ancient history
One long trail of twisted bodies as the strong crush the weak
We must be crazy, we are crazy, this is our natural state
As our children die around us, we just sit here and wait
For a little temporary sanity
Some temporary sanity

There's a chance that we would still get the picture
If reality just came up and bit ya
But the news team would never report it
Because there's too much evidence to support it
If we was stupider the problem would vanish
But our brains are much more than we can manage
We say we want something so bad we can taste it
But once we get it, then we turn 'round and waste it
We got a twisted fixation with the marketplace
And every sufferin' soul is just another face
We think we're bein' manipulated from outer space
It's the collective guilty conscience of the human race
We get joyful when we look upon a lesser man
A specimen we can be sure that we're better than
There is no shortage of supply of pride and vanity
There is no explanation but INSANITY

You're listening to Prozac while the message goes unheard
It's the final word

We must be crazy, we must be crazy
There's no explanation so we must be crazy

System of a Down - Attack

Breathing each other's lives
Holding this in mind
That if we fall, we all fall
And we fall alone
The cold insincerity of steel machines
Have consumed our euphoria
Transforming us into muted dreams
Dreaming of the day that

We attack
Attack, attack your fetal servitude
We attack
Attack, attack, attack with pesticide
We attack
All the years of propaganda
We shall attack

Books illustrate what we already know
Candles cry towards the sky
Racing your flags along polluted coasts
Dreaming of the day that

We attack
Attack, attack your fetal servitude
We attack
Attack, attack, attack with pesticide
We attack
All the years of propaganda
We shall attack

Attack
Attack

Breathing each other's lives
Holding this in mind
That if we fall, we all fall
And we fall alone

Breathing each other's lives
Holding this in mind
That if we fall, we all fall
And we fall alone

What's the philosophy of displaced mines The bombing of all homes and
villages Truth is the only sword bleeding minds Bleeding till the day that

We attack
Attack, attack your fetal servitude
We attack
Attack, attack, attack with pesticide
We attack
All the years of propaganda
We shall attack

Attack all the homes and villages
Attack all the schools and hospitals
You attack all the rapes and pillages
We shall attack

We shall attack
