New Model Army - Vagabondshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hRXjMY-RlYVAGABONDS (Sullivan) 1987 We follow the taillights out of the city Moving in a river of red As the colours fade away from the dusky sunset We roll for the darkness ahead Ch: We are old, we are young, we are in this together Vagabonds and children, prisoners forever With pulses a-raging and eyes full of wonder Kicking out behind us again Night-time City Beat the radio is calling The lost and lonely in vain Out here we are running for the wide open spaces The road-smell after the rain Ch: We are old, we are young, we are in this together Vagabonds and children, prisoners forever With pulses a-raging and eyes full of wonder Kicking out behind us again And watching as a boy alone at the quayside The ships loading cargo in the night Their names all calling to faraway places The years go past, the miles go by And still this childhood romance will not die

From the days when rock was rock, and Kings knew their rightful place... Rush A Farewell to Kingshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Og_YKsIkLpo When they turn the pages of history When these days have passed long ago Will they read of us with sadness For the seeds that we let grow? We turned our gaze From the castles in the distance Eyes cast down On the path of least resistanceCities full of hatred, fear and lies Withered hearts and cruel, tormented eyes Scheming demons dressed in kingly guise Beating down the multitude and Scoffing at the wise The hypocrites are slandering The sacred Halls of Truth Ancient nobles showering Their bitterness on youth Can't we find the minds that made us strong? Can't we learn to feel what's right And what's wrong? What's wrong? Cities full of hatred, fear and lies Withered hearts and cruel, tormented eyes Scheming demons dressed in kingly guise Beating down the multitude and Scoffing at the wise Can't we raise our eyes and make a start? Can't we find the minds to lead us Closer to the heart?

You can look to the left and Look to the right But you will live in danger tonite When the enemy comes he will Never be heard He'll blow your mind and not say a word Blinding lights--flashing colors Sleepless nights If the man with the power Can't keep it under control Some heads are gonna roll Some heads are gonna roll (Repeat) The power-mad freaks who are Ruling the earth Will show how little they think you're worth With animal lust they'll Devour your life And slice your word to bits like a knife One last day burning hell fire You're blown away If the man with the power Can't keep it under control Some heads are gonna roll Some heads are gonna roll (Repeat) Know what it's like When you're taken for granted There goes your life It's so underhanded If the man with the power Can't keep it under control Some heads are gonna roll Some heads are gonna roll

http://www.musicwebtown.com/trasher/174124 Beloved infidel, where are you hiding now? Will you return to me once you've been disavowed? All the many battles you fought on my behalf Now your memory fades like a photograph False gods they will erect offerings they will burn I am lost in meditation and awaiting your return Beloved infidel, do i beseech in vain? Since you departed here, the pendulum swings again Now the weak are vilified and the wicked glorified And still you hide away inside a fool such as i And it is money that they worship and Lies are what they sell And fear is their obsession Ring the liberation bell, beloved infidel Beloved infidel

I love Tod Rundgren. When I was a teen I lived in the same town as him (Suasalito) and I served him at the store I worked. He always seem like a really cool, slightly aloof and really stoned guy. However, check this out: Tod Rundgren is voting for Hillaryhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfmgsrauNTY&feature=relatedNoooooooo, Tod you idiot!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAIZ_VorDl0 On the compilation Wu-Chronicles, Ras Kass and The RZA feature Jordan Maxwell explaining who the Illuminati are, in a track titled The End. The song is set to a loop of the theme from The Incredible Hulk tv show...Jordan is at the 2:35 mark. Not a great song Hey, Mick, didn't you say that you lived close to Syd Barrett...I was thinking about that post when I read Ummagumma(Name of a Pink Floyd album) and Brocke's exchange about Tod Rundgren. Couldn't find it, though. Funny.

BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD "FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH" ((a 60's song STILL RELEVANT, EVEN MORE)
There's something happening here What it is ain't exactly clear There's a man with a gun over there Telling me I got to beware I think it's time we stop, children, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down
There's battle lines being drawn Nobody's right if everybody's wrong Young people speaking their minds Getting so much resistance from behind I think it's time we stop, hey, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down
What a field-day for the heat A thousand people in the street Singing songs and carrying signs Mostly say, hooray for our side It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down
Paranoia strikes deep Into your life it will creep It starts when you're always afraid You step out of line, the man come and take you away
We better stop, hey, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down Stop, hey, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down Stop, now, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down Stop, children, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down

I used to, when I was at Cambridge, quite a while ago now. He lives in the 'Milton' area of town. Curiously I ended up living in Lewes a few years later and my house-mate looked after Arthur Brown's cat for him, I'm plagued by 60s icons. Never got to meet Viv Stanshall though.

System of a Down Tentative, Sad Statue, or a number of songs. Or even better Serj Tankian - Empty Walls or a number of songs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqoQkTQqi8oHell, Alex should try to talk to Serj and see if he will add his voice...just watch the vid Yes! I think serj ought to be a guest and i have a thread on that, his music is so good, but his politics are kind of shoddy but yeah i agree he needs to play some SOAD or serj i kind of like Toxicity

First I love all 80's metal rock, but sentimentally I would like 'Eye of the Tiger' the one they did in the Rocky movie because it is about rising to the chalenges of your rivals, never getting down and defeated and having great strength. I also like the country tunes he chooses, but I hate the rap.

hmmm Serj Tankian - Feed us http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOxnuQlF0d0Do you know that life is ending, As we go, the dots connecting, We had our chance to save the garden, As it dies, our souls will harden, With these words chastising your conscience Were breaking through and praying for transcendence. But you deceived us all now, You cheat us when you feed us with the lie,

Please please please! This is basically Australian unofficial 2nd national anthem Men at Work - Land DownunderThe video is the first time I've seen it....very odd http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNT7uZf7lewTraveling in a fried-out combie On a hippie trail, head full of zombie I met a strange lady, she made me nervous She took me in and gave me breakfast And she said, "Do you come from a land down under? Where women glow and men plunder? Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? You better run, you better take cover." Buying bread from a man in Brussels He was six foot four and full of muscles I said, "Do you speak-a my language?" He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich And he said, "I come from a land down under Where beer does flow and men chunder Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? You better run, you better take cover." Lying in a den in Bombay With a slack jaw, and not much to say I said to the man, "Are you trying to tempt me Because I come from the land of plenty?" And he said, "Oh! Do you come from a land down under? (oh yeah yeah) Where women glow and men plunder? Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? You better run, you better take cover."

Serj Tankian - Charades
I do believe... You were strong in forming violence ! We were strong performing silence... I do believe... You were strong in forming violence ! We were strong performing silence...
We are deceived, all the toys of our convenience, Opening our hearts to the brilliance We are deceived, all the toys of our convenience, Opening our hearts to the brilliance
Love is strong, hearing as loud as gunfire away, Never wrong, constantly dreaming of another way.
If love is wrong, go ahead and end the world with your charades. Never wrong, constantly dreaming of another way.
*Can I get some more piano please ?*
Love is strong, hearing as loud as gunfire away, Never wrong, constantly dreaming of another way
If love is wrong, go ahead and end the world with your charades. Never wrong, constantly dreaming of another, another day day day day day day day day day !
Find me a red bag; one without a tag. Hope that you are near; valliantly appear, Find me a red....bag...
na na na na na...
Love is strong, hearing as loud as gunfire away, Never wrong, constantly dreaming of another way.
If love is wrong, go ahead and end the world with it's charades Never wrong, constantly dreaming of another, another day day day day day day day day day !
Find me a red bag; one without a tag. Hope that you are near; valliantly appear, Find me a red....bag...

"Riot" by Three Days Grace
It's got good guitar in it like in Toxicity
If you feel so empty So used up, so let down If you feel so angry So ripped off so stepped on You're not the only one Refusing to back down You're not the only one So get up
Let's start a riot, a riot Let's start a riot Let's start a riot, a riot Let's start a riot
If you feel so filthy So dirty so f**ked up If you feel so walked on So painful so pissed off You're not the only one Refusing to go down You're not the only one So get up
Let's start a riot, a riot Let's start a riot Let's start a riot, a riot Let's start a riot
If you feel so empty So used up, so let down If you feel so angry Just get up
Let's start a riot, a riot Let's start a riot Let's start a riot, a riot Let's start a riot

David T. Chastain in CHASTAIN the band is a decent facsimile of Priest.
Balkan Beat Box for the bumper music, and also Daedelus. Nobody has probably heard of any of them but ....

Both The Doors & The Dead did different songs called 'Ship of Fools'. 1) "The Human race was dying out, no-one left to scream & shout, They've been walking on the moon but 'smogs gonna get ya' pretty soon'. Ship of Fools." — The Doors. ('71?) http://www.lyricsfreak.com/d/doors/ship+of+fools_20042714.html2) "Went to see the captain, strangest I could find, Laid my proposition down, laid it on the line. I wont slave for beggars pay, likewise gold and jewels, But I would slave to learn the way to sink your ship of fools. The bottles stand as empty, as they were filled before. Time there was and plenty, but from that cup no more. Though I could not caution all, I still might warn a few: Dont lend your hand to raise no flag atop no ship of fools." — Grateful Dead. http://www.lyricsfreak.com/g/grateful+dead/ship+of+fools_20062384.html

'The Vaste repository of human knowledge, lost to a watery abysmal deep! And to find it a candle has been set, and Google is that candle.'
"The Dog has returned to its own vomit, and the sow that was bathed to rolling in the mire." 2 Peter, 2:22
— Which is a WARNING, not an invite to mimicry.

The Flaming Lips - The Yeah Yeah Yeah Songhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNLJfb6jQVkIf you could blow up the world with the flick of a switch Would you do it? If you could make everyobody poor just so you could be rich Would you do it? If you could watch everybody work while you just lay on your back Would you do it? If you could take all the love without giving any back Would you do it? And so we cannot know ourselves or what we'd really do... With all your power With all your power With all your power What would you do? If you could make your own money and then give it to everybody Would you do it? If you knew all the answers and could give it to the masses Would you do it? No no no no no no are you crazy? It's a very dangerous thing to do exactly what you want Because you cannot know yourself or what you'd really do With all your power With all your power With all your power Fleetwood Mac - Go Insanehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sK3auO3ICQTwo kinds of people in this world winners, losers I lost my power in this world cause I did not use it so I go insane like I always do and I call your name she's a lot like you two kinds of trouble in this world living, dying I lost my power in this world and the rumors are flying so I go insane like I always do and I call your name she's a lot like you so I go insane like I always do and I call your name she's a lot like you

Triumph - Fight The Good Fight http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vs_NtwZ4toIThe days grow shorter and the nights are getting long Feels like we're running out of time Every day it seems much harder tellin' right from wrong You got to read between the lines
Don't get discouraged, don't be afraid, we can Make it through another day Make it worth the price we pay
The Good Book says it's better to give than to receive I do my best to do my part Nothin' in my pockets I got nothin' up my sleeve I keep my magic in my heart
Keep up your spirit, keep up your faith, baby I am counting on you You know what you've got to do
CHORUS: Fight the good fight every moment Every minute every day Fight the good fight every moment It's your only way
All your life you've been waiting for your chance Where you'll fit into the plan But you're the master of your own destiny So give and take the best that you can
You think a little more money will buy your soul some rest You'd better think of something else instead You're so afraid of being honest with yourself You'd better take a look inside your head
Nothing is easy, nothing good is free But I can tell you where to start Take a look inside your heart There's an answer in your heart
Fight the good fight every moment Every minute every day Fight the good fight every moment Make it worth the price we pay
Every moment of your lifetime Every minute every day Fight the good fight everybody Make it worth the price we pay Yeah
