I can not agree to this remark. However i do find relevance in the fact that the VA turns a blind eye and prepares a waiting list the size of texas.
Whats a vet. to do,
Evidence. Situations of root casue. Depression chronic., sustain this info. with independent mental health organization, Present dupilicates to the V.A. get an attorney and give him 20% to push the bastards.
If your a vet. and have had visions of suicide, your in for care. Got me. Bring family and freinds for testimony with you when you asked to be treated, this is evidence. Have your buddies you served with verify your inner turmoil and experiences in writing, hand written.
You and most other Vet. will find the another battle to your front upon your return to the states. (many a good vet. after WWI fought to get these rights, homeless, wounded, crippled, lived in tents on the W. Mall. Demanding payment and subsistance as they were promised. Ol Black Jack Pershing burned down their tents and led a horse charge on the Vets and familes).
In short they did not give up, follow their lead. You fought for them You served for them, You paid the price.
You, were not prepared for the hell of war, no one is , you did not know, do not blame yourself, you got taken in by that old patriotic chore bull shit, and the slicker than eel recruiters. Maintian all documents, get smart, get assistance.

Does that not appear to be exactly what they want. The little people, commoners, peons,  have allways paid for the sins of their masters.
Bu don't worry about them, if there is a depression they will fare it well.

A lot of us chumps who served , were hit, for example Barry a buddy of mine stepped on a land mine, lost a leg and had to have metal plate in his head. At times he needs meds, and attention , not for the leg, for the plate in his head.
(By the way, more Nam vets suicided after the war than the actual combat fatalities). He receives a compensation for his injuries, he needs assistance at times.
Another guy I knew got the medal of honor, for saving his squad and getting hit twice while doing it. he beleives the flies that were eating the bodies of his buddies killed followed him back to the states, so he constantly is attemptting to swat at them, though its all in his head, ya know.

These guys are not getting brainwashed by going to the VA hospitols, they are attemping to survive.

Your post seemed definitive, ya know thats it end of stroy, but some of these guys coming home need assistance. Drop into a VA in your area and talk to some of the guys, might just open your eyes a bit to the reality of what a war can do to a man.
By the way a sargent in combat in those days got paid about 420 dollars a month, kinda hard to deal with suicidal, paranoic, sydromes, head injuries etc, with no money in your pocket, and many without the support of families.

Some people need mental health care (schizophrenics, soldiers with PTSD, etc.). Most people don't.

Most people who are receiving mental health care don't need it. That's why I'm trying to help my nephew. He's only 3 years old and already they're drugging him up on ritalin and everything else, even though his mother modified his diet and pretty much all of his "symptoms" disappeared. Too bad his mother is basically property of the federal government. They're constantly threatening to take her kids away every time they fall down and get a bruise or scrape.

The whole thing is f**ked.

hI,   and agreed to. The feds have no right to interfere in our personel lives, ok, gotcha. The have no right to judge us unless we are a terms with their laws, even then I wonder. I was simply mainking a case for the Vets who got fu%¨¨&&% in the war, and a pet peave of mine is the ALL SYNDROMRE, were on the sma chanel with the wave lenghts passing, no problem.

Yeah, true enough. I'm a former soldier myself. Fortunately for me, I wasn't deployed to Iraq, but I have a lot of friends who have come back with PTSD, sometimes severe, and the Army that they laid their lives down for treats them like shit. Seeing it actually makes me happy that I got injured and had to be discharged. The kind of wound I suffered has healed pretty well, but their mental wounds will not.

It pisses me off that they are just used, abused, and tossed away like garbage. I wonder if my fate would have been the same.
