I have a brother living in Japan for 12 years now. He is a democrat and although he believes that 911 was an inside job and watches AJ videos when I send them to him, he still told me he was voting for Kucinich becuase that guy is for gun control. He even stated to me, that only the right people should own guns... But I keep asking him #1- who ARE the 'right' people? #2- How can we trust who gets picked to be the 'right' people? It scares me. He even grew up a boy scout shooting rifles.

My dad grew up in Poland during WWII and saw the Nazis come in and first two things they did was take away the guns from the men and rape the women. When the Soviets rolled into town guess what they did? They took away the guns from the men and raped the women. Luckily my grandfather was fight for the Polish army in Italy and helped the Americans out in a big battle of Monte Cassino. Thus opening the door for my dad to come to America after the war ended through my grandfather who fought alongside the Americans.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Monte_Cassino

So, to sum it all up, my dad has always told me to pay close attention anytime any country starts taking away guns from its citizens. Although I dont own a rifle now I plan to get one and to teach my future children all about guns, how to handle them properly and to respect their power as well. We teach our kids the difference between hot and cold, we should also be teaching them the proper use of weapons and why its important to have guns.

I don't own a gun and have never owned a gun, and I think a gun ban is a horrible idea. All it will do is disarm honest citizens. Dishonest citizens and criminals will still get guns the same way they do now, off the streets. You really think a gun ban will stop criminals from getting guns your dead wrong.

Our lovely media likes to use stories such as these to try and convince us that the gun was the problem. Unfortunatlly, like 9/11, terrorism, global warming dooms  day, its all a bunch of BS that the masses soak up. In turn we get many people like the OP who literally ask our Government to take away more of our rights.

So to the op, please wake up, banning guns will only disarm the honest and the innocent because they are to correct to get guns of the street.

I'm about to buy and learn how to use my first gun ever, for hunting.

Can I make a suggestion?

This is a Winchester .38 lever action. Its shoots the same ammo as a .38 pistol. A .357 can also shoot .38 rounds. So, if you get this, some day later you can buy a .357 (or a .38)and then you will have a long and side arm that can shoot the same rounds.

Banning guns is not the answer!

Here's something to think about.

I have heard that 100% of ALL murderers ingested bread at some point leading up to their heinous crimes.

Bread should be banned.

WTF!?!! Good thing I posted pictures for you since you are illiterate. It is spelled Constitution! Don't be so disrespectful!! Without the Constitution you would not be practicing your God given right of free speech.

But I really can't blame you that you don't know how to read and write. It's the government controlled schools that has dumbed you down.

Ban guns and you will be like us in the UK. Defenseless and regularly killed by intruders.

It all comes down to this, do you believe that the government has a responsibility and is capable of protecting you?

The courts have ruled that the government has no legal obligation to protect you!!!

At VT Tech, the cops were hiding behind trees while Cho was killing fellow students.  At Columbine, a teacher bleed to death waiting for the SWAT team to come and rescue him and his students.

For all there SWAT teams and gidgets, the police are in no rush to respond to situation where the criminals have guns.

gun control would definitely leave more guns for psychopaths.

Why should we stop with gun control?

I mean this kid could have used a knife, a pillow, a garden tool, a car, a hammer, etc.

This is how we need to make sure that this never happens again.

New mandatory system to deal with child/father arguments:

Hey look how good gun control works in New Orleans:

Surprise, surprise, murder is UP!

Hey Karza, what makes you different than Bush?

Bush exploits the tragedy of 9/11 and uses their pictures, their deaths, their names, their news stories to push his agenda.

You exploit the tragedy of this poor family.  You use their names, their pictures, and their deaths to push your agenda.

Have you no shame?

Have you no care for these victims and the tragedy they have just gone through?

How can you be so cruel to them and use their deaths for personal agenda driven nonsense about abolishing our sovereignty?

I mean it is obvious you seem to prefer globalization and a removal of this country's sovereignty.  If that is your belief so be it, but using this tragedy to forward your agenda...pretty low dude.

Reminds me of Bowling for Columbine or the VT massacre when in both cases gun control had nothing to do with it or made the massacres even worse.

In all cities where mandatory gun ownership is enforced, crime goes down to zero.

How many people get killed by guns,  yearly, how many people get killed by Pharmaceuticals, yearly?

From rense.com:

Doctors And Guns
11-27-6

FACTS TO PONDER

(A) The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000

(B) Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are 120,000

(C) Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171.

Statistics courtesy of U.S. Dept of Health Human Services.

Now think about this...

(A) The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000. (Yes, that's 80 million..)

(B) The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is 1,500.

(C) The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is .000188

Statistics courtesy of the FBI

So, statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.

Remember - "Guns don't kill people, doctors do."

FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT  ALMOST EVERYONE HAS AT LEAST ONE DOCTOR.

Edit: Thanks for changing the thread title.

They should ban those as well and that'll fix all those drug problems.

You better buy your gun while you can as the Battle is about to begin . Starting with the Government and how they read /destroy the Constitution and the 2nd amendment.

The link is from Febuary 2008, its a good read and can get you blood boiling.

Well I don't know that guns being banned will be that bad.

Look at what happens when they ban things, they're easier to find and I don't just mean a 9 with a 16 round clip instead of a 10.

I want to be the first kid on my block to have the full auto mac11/silencer/briefcase combo
