... further massive dumbing-down of the IDIOCRACY ... a
lowering of common-sense standards of the EDUMACATION
system so that ... let's face it ... ghetto blacks and Spanish-
speaking 'immigrants' can 'compete' for 'jobs' in the
NEW WORLD ORDER.

My State, New Mexico, has adopted these ridiculous 'standards',
no doubt because we are broke and are being blackmailed by
the 'holders-of-the-purse-strings' in the capital of that
NEW WORLD ORDER ... Washington, DC. In my child's info
packet we received a handout with links to online resources
to help our child acheive the new 'standards' ... yai, yai, yai.

WARNING! These 'resources' are as DUMBED-DOWN as the new 'curricula'.

Stop Common Core in Your State

Common Core is a K-12 set of national education standards for English language arts and mathematics classes that was developed by Achieve Inc., and promoted through the National Governors Association and the Council of Chief State School Officials, both of which are private Washington, DC based trade organizations.

A majority of states have already signed on to Common Core by signing up for the Department of Education’s “Race to the Top” program in 2009 and 2010. Common Core’s English and math standards were not yet written at the time, thus these states never saw the standards when they agreed to them. These standards are copyrighted and thus cannot be changed.

Common Core’s subpar English Language Arts (ELA) standards are intended to remove the great British and American literary works of William Shakespeare, John Bunyan, Herman Melville, Mark Twain, T.S. Eliot, and C.S. Lewis from school curricula. These literary classics will be replaced with simple brochures, restaurant menus, technical manuals, and government pamphlets about the environment and sustainability from the Environmental Protection Agency.

The purpose of literature will no longer be to expand children’s creative thinking and vocabulary skills but rather to make them practical components of a managed world economy and labor market. As a result of the poor quality of Common Core’s ELA standards, Dr. Sandra Stotsky of the University of Arkansas, who served on the Common Core Validation Committee, refused to sign off on them.

Current state math standards will likewise be dumbed down by the new Common Core standards. Dr. James Milgram of Stanford University, the only mathematician on the Common Core Validation Committee, refused to sign off on Common Core's math standards, stating, “It’s almost a joke to think students [who master the Common Core standards] would be ready for math at a university.” Among the states that have agreed to implement Common Core, Minnesota has refused to sign on to the math portion.

Homeschoolers and private school students would not be able to escape the clutches of Common Core. David Coleman, who developed the English Language Arts portion of Common Core, was recently promoted to president of the College Board, which administers the SAT exams. Coleman has already promised to align the SAT exams to Common Core standards. The same would be true of the ACT exams. Four-year colleges and universities place a great deal of importance on prospective student’s SAT and/or ACT scores during their enrollment process. Unless homeschoolers and private school students are taught by Common Core standards they will be unprepared and hindered. If implemented as expected, this would also greatly diminish the benefits of school choice. Moreover, homeschoolers all across the country are at risk of having to eventually conform their curricula to adopt Common Core standards.

... this is WORSE that we all
thought. Where to begin ...

First of all, many teachers ...
at least at my kid's school ...
are onto it ... and will refuse
to go along with this TOTAL
NWO TAKEOVER. The school's
best science teacher 'retired'
early, ('40s) not returning this year,
refusing to sell-out. SO ...
good news/bad news ... losing
a majority of our best teachers?
 ... other (younger) teachers don't
see what is about to hit them ...
they just think it is an 'update' to
old worn-out 'no-child-left-behind'
pablum.

COMMON CORE IS AN INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION, HEADQUARTERED IN INDIA, WHICH IS SPEAR-HEADING
A TOTAL TAKE-DOWN OF THE WORLD's EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS, in toto ... THE STATED INTENTION IS TO
CREATE A DUMB-DOWNED 'ROBOTIC/HUMAN' SLAVE WORK FORCE TO POWER THE NEW WORLD ORDER ...
NOTHING MORE and NOTHING LESS.

CORE: Making Children Stupider Around The World

Ok… Stupider is not really supposed to be a word. But with CORE, who needs proper grammar? Slang is the new English!!!

I often tell people who want to research a company or government entity that they should seek out the audited “Annual Financial Report” for that corporation, association, etc. The fact is that all aggregate corporations, both public and private, are statutorily required to create, independently audit, and file with the U.S. Federal Government a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) (AFR), and that includes all governments from cities and counties (municipal corporations) to districts to states.

Though I had heard about the many issues with what is called “Common CORE” from many concerned but ill-informed parents and activists, I had never actually spent the time to research exactly what this thing is and how large it has become. As a friend in Texas was speaking of how her son’s homework in the CORE system of Texas involved a lesson about George Orwell’s 1984 as an learning exercise, I realized it was time to have a look.

Thanks to the efforts of a concerned mother who brought this travesty to the awareness of the people,
here’s what that homework assignment looked like:

WTF?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The first thing I usually look for when researching any corporation is its latest annual financial report (AFR). And so I did a simple search with the parameters of “Common CORE annual financial report”, and up came the following link:
http://www.core-edutech.com/investors/Financial-Reports.php
I instructed the finder to recover the “Annual Report 2011-12″, and up popped a (.pdf) file of that report.
It was so simple, and yet most people have no clue these reports even exist for their consumption…
The link to the actual 2011 fiscal year Annual Financial Report is here:
http://www.core-edutech.com/pdf/CETLAnnualReport2011-12.pdf\
(ED: Just noticed this PDF appears to have bent sent down the MEMORY HOLE ... sorry)
Now, keeping in mind my own ignorance of just what Common CORE actually was, I am going to treat you, the reader, with the same disposition. My shock and awe at what was revealed in this report will likely have the same jaw-dropping effect upon you that it had on me. And even the armchair activist will be shocked at what is revealed within…
As I read the first page, I knew I was looking at the New Order of things to come – a global system of so-called workforce education that is quickly spreading across not just the United States, but the entire “civilized” planet. Over a blue light bulb with all of the continents of earth upon it, the cover-sheet’s title exclaims:
“CORE – Innovating To Transform The World”
(ED: Some quotes from the COMMON CORE Financial Report PDF:)
Quote
“The world is changing at a much faster pace today than one would have imagined a decade ago. The way innovations of yesteryears like internet and mobility transformed the world today; innovations of today would go on to transform the world tomorrow. In the words of William Wordsworth, ‘The child is father of man’. Quite rightly, the shape of future lies in the hands of today’s youth. The responsibility to shape young minds and prepare them for a new world rests on Education. The world needs to renounce some age old practices in its education system and adopt a futuristic pedagogy. Core has been incubating innovations that are transforming the Education Systems worldwide – from the US to the UK; from India to the Middle East and Africa. With innovative interventions across Teaching, Learning, Assessment and Governance, the company is rigorously at work. Innovating today what will lead to a transformed world tomorrow.”
Quote
Ready to create a promising future
"The global agenda of the 21st century is set around economy and trade, with manufacturing shifting from the west to the east, employment landscape would immensely change at both ends. In order to sustain their economic growth, developed as well as developing economies need to intensify their human capital formation. Not surprising then, nations across the world are increasingly investing in education for continued development of their human capital, quantitatively as well as qualitatively…
“With governments across the world stepping up their spends on reinventing their education system in line with the unfolding realities of 21st century, CORE is uniquely poised to leverage its established and fast improving domain prowess. In doing so, it would help nations enhance the productive capabilities of their future workforce and create immense value for all its stakeholders over coming decades.”
EXCERTS: Indeed, this for-profit education corporation that teaches American children and teachers hails not from the United States – but from India.
And how do you feel when categorized Orwellian-style into “Human Capital” to be managed and “educated” to become part of the “workforce” of that new global agenda? Make no mistake, “human capital” means humans as trade-able and disposable commodities. In other words… SLAVES!
  jofortruth has an outstanding area on Common Core.
  Common Core is a hundred times worse than the Bush family's NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND.  The Bush family made billions on NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND.
  As someone who took high school chemistry many years ago, I am appalled by what COMMON CORE IS DOING.  They will place high school chemistry with THE STUDY OF GLOBAL WARMING.  TOTAL INSANITY FROM THE SCUM THAT ARE DESTROYING EDUCATION.
"
        So much Gates cash, and so many hands willing to accept it.
Bill Gates likes Common Core. So, he is purchasing it. In doing so, Gates demonstrates (sadly so)
that when one has enough money, one can purchase fundamentally democratic institutions.
I do not have billions to counter Gates. What I do have is this blog and the ability to expose the purchase.
I might be without cash, but I am not without power.
Can Bill Gates buy a foundational democratic institution? Will America allow it? The fate of CCSS will provide
crucial answers to those looming questions.
The way to properly reform education would be very simple.
Every year, 1 of 10 courses is Philosophy, with the main aim of teaching kids critical thinking.
They could learn the basics at a young age, and ideally gradually improve upon those skills.
Kids have unbelievable creativity and critical thought, yet after a few years of Prussian teaching that youthful spirit is non-existent.
This would have a trickle down affect as other subjects, such as history, have a new dynamic added.
The what to think is mind numbing, the how to is empowering. We used to accept this as common sense.
PEDOPHILIA, INCEST, AND GRAPHIC SEX: EXCERPTS
FROM A COMMON CORE READING LIST BOOK FOR
11TH-GRADERS THAT WILL MAKE YOU BLUSH
Editor’s note: The following story contains graphic language. Discretion is advised.
Common Core, the controversial set of education standards being pushed by many state governors and education leaders, is coming under fire for its selection of a book that’s on the suggested reading list for 11th graders (i.e. 16- and 17-year-olds). The book — a past selection of Oprah’s Book Club — has graphic sex scenes and descriptions that are likely to make you blush.
The work in question comes from Nobel Prize-winning author Toni Morrison. Listed on a Common Core reading list linked on the website, “The Bluest Eye” carries this description from the curriculum’s preferred bookseller: An Eleven-Year-Old African-American Girl In Ohio, In The Early 1940s, Prays For Her Eyes To Turn Blue So That She Will Be Beautiful.
TONI MORRISON
EXCERPTS FROM THE NOVEL:
Pages 130-131:  “Then he will lean his head down and bite my t** . . . I want him to put his hand between my legs, I want him to open them for me. . . I stretch my legs open, and he is on top of me…He would die rather than take his thing out of me. Of me. I take my fingers out of his and put my hands on his behind…”
Pages 162-163:  “A bolt of desire ran down his genitals…and softening the lips of his anus. . . . He wanted to f*** her—tenderly. But the tenderness would not hold. The tightness of her vagina was more than he could bear. His soul seemed to slip down his guts and fly out into her, and the gigantic thrust he made into her then provoked the only sound she made. Removing himself from her was so painful to him he cut it short and snatched his genitals out of the dry harbor of her vagina. She appeared to have fainted.”
Page 174:  “He further limited his interests to little girls. They were usually manageable . . . His sexuality was anything but lewd; his patronage of little girls smacked of innocence and was associated in his mind with cleanliness.” And later, this same pedophile notes, “I work only through the Lord. He sometimes uses me to help people.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~>  However, it IS a book written by a black person.

Let it loose; it will defend itself."

CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?

… from the BLAZE:

Watch What Happens When One Parent Speaks Out
at a School Board Meeting About a Controversial
Book Assigned to His Daughter

A New Hampshire parent was arrested at a Monday night school board meeting after he voiced outrage his ninth grade daughter was assigned a book that contains a page detailing a graphic sexual encounter.

Gilford school officials claim the book, “Nineteen Minutes” by Jodi Picoult, contains important themes about a school shooting. But some parents believe a scene described in the book is inappropriate for their children.

According to WCVB-TV, the book contains a graphic description of rough sex between two teenagers, which parents were unaware of until the book had already been distributed to their kids.

“I was shocked when I read the passage and not much shocks me anymore,” William Baer told EAG News. “My wife was stunned by the increasingly graphic nature of the sexual content of the scene and the imagery it evoked.”

Here’s an excerpt from the explicit passage:

“‘Relax,’ Matt murmured, and then he sank his teeth into her shoulder. He pinned her hands over her head and ground his hips against hers. She could feel his erection, hot against her stomach.

” … She couldn’t remember ever feeling so heavy, as if her heart were beating between her legs. She clawed at Matt’s back to bring him closer.

“‘Yeah,’ he groaned, and her pushed her thighs apart. And then suddenly Matt was inside her, pumping so hard that she scooted backward on the carpet, burning the backs of her legs. … (H)e clamped his hand over her mouth and drove harder and harder until Josie felt him come.

“Semen, sticky and hot, pooled on the carpet beneath her.”

Understandably, Baer doesn’t want his daughter exposed to this kind of material, and says the school “has no business introducing such themes” to his daughter.

^^^^^^^

  There is so much wrong with common core----we have discussed this ad nauseam over the years.

  If they would just get the Feds out of the business of dumbing down the children.

  I remember an article which stated a high school diploma from 1954 is the equivalent to a current 4 year college degree.  I BELIEVE THIS.

  Let the locals take care of the educations of their children---if they don't home school them.

With Tea Party Republicans such as Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Ron Johnson, Walter Jones and Mike Lee all serving in the U.S. Congress, it goes without saying there's an even greater number serving in state legislatures.

So the question, once again, is where are they on this issue?

If compulsory school attendance laws were simply repealed, Common Core would immediately cease to be an issue.

Is there a singe GOP-controlled State House or State Senate in which Tea Party Republicans have even tried to challenge the presumed sacredness of these laws?

If not, why not?

Because they're too busy acting as though they're still running for office? Because they don't have the courage of their professed convictions? If not, then what?

… compulsory education indoctrination is a huge part
of the problem IMO, as may be compulsory taxation to support
the broken and misdirected Fed-controlled system, including
this dumbed-down, confused, Communist Core perpetual-testing
regimen. But, I doubt that in our lifetimes that we will see any
relief on either front (compulsory ed. and tax) … and in the meantime
we have to continue the fight within the system.

On the other hand, a lot of Tea Partiers (a misnomer I know) do
speak out continually on disbanding the Federal Ed. Dept, which is
another good method of attack.

It's the problem, because regardless of what tax system is in place, as long as government schooling is compulsory, power over education will remain in the hands of the robber baron class that made it compulsory in the first place.

Quote
as may be compulsory taxation to support the broken and misdirected Fed-controlled system

All taxation is compulsory -- including the "sales tax" promoted over the years by all too many conservatives and right-wing libertarians:

You just made my point for me: Tea Party Republicans serving in state legislatures are already in the system. Yet there's not a single example I know of in which they've even attempted to make government schools "public" in the same sense that libraries are "public." Such acts of omission hardly qualify as "fighting."

Quote
On the other hand, a lot of Tea Partiers (a misnomer I know) do speak out continually on disbanding the Federal Ed. Dept, which is another good method of attack.

Which means they continue to give speeches about it, as though they're still running for office. What have they actually done legislatively? Not a thing, so far as I can tell.

As for abolishing the DoE, there's nothing new or radical about that idea, because as far back as 1996 even the GOP national platform called for this. Yet once the GOP secured control of both the White House and both Houses of Congress less than ten years later, not only was no attempt made to abolish the DoE, its annual budget continued to increase.

We need legislative action, not speeches. And if someone invokes the "Republican leadership" excuse, then that's what press conferences are for.

… it is very difficult to get a handle on what
is really happening with this Communist Core
BS. It seems that it is a DUMBING DOWN
rigmarole 'testing regimen' designed to
even-the-playing-field for blacks/hispanics vs
whites/asians. Of course, that is UREPORTED
in those terms. They speak more about
'transformational change' in the system to
'close the achievement gap', blah, blah, blah.
… and all the time try to sell it as the NEXT BIG
THING in INTERNATIONAL LEARNING STANDARDS …
more blah, blah, blah.

My kid who is #1 in his class  (and some of his friends)
say the tests are 'crip' … make work … easy-as-pie, though
dumber than a box of rocks.

Anyway … it is NOT working on ANY level … and
DEFINITELY not bringing blacks/hispanics up to
standard … it is just making the school experience for
the good students an extended kindergarten … sorry
to say, but I believe it is true.

EXCLUSIVE: 90 (NY) city schools failed to pass a single
black or Hispanic student on state tests

While black and Hispanic students did better on the math and reading
exams this year compared with 2013, the achievement gap still worsened,
since white and Asian kids saw bigger increases. Families for Excellent
Schools CEO Jeremiah Kittredge said the findings should shock the city
Education Department into taking better steps to help struggling kids.

Why High Stakes Testing Should Be STOPPED –
Out Of The Mouth Of A Nine Year Old

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogBuz4dU5Ew

"
This is what Florida governor Jeb Bush has promoted. He fully supports the agenda of common core reforms and the need for federal control and behavioral testing. The first step to getting rid of “high stakes” testing is to ask Washington DC to stick to its enumerated powers, which does NOT include education.

It’s well past time to restore Reagan’s dream to “dismantle” the Department of Education.  Until that happens, states will continue to be held hostage to the carrot-and-stick tactics of the federal government.  If you take a dime of its funding, you are then bound by its rules.

All across the nation – Republican and Democratic governors cave in to the federal dollars that flow. Again, Utah is at the forefront of this agenda. Governor Gary Herbert is the vice chairman of the National Governor’s Association, one of the key lobbyist organizations that has played a hand in funding and supporting common core reforms.

In state after state these reforms have been railroaded through the legislatures. All roads lead to the United Nations, where common core and No Child Left Behind and the concept of “Education for All” had its origins.

This is a global reform movement to align all schools with social justice norms promoting redistribution and social equity at the expense of religious and individual liberty, and dependence on government as the giver of all charity. To know that these tests are primarily developed by the American Institutes of Research, a behavioral testing-survey company, is troubling to many parents who object to the invasion of their privacy and the undermining of their family values.

Watch as Defiant Dad Gets State School Board VP to
Reveal His True Education Beliefs: ‘OK, We Disagree’

May. 15, 2015  Jason Howerton

At a recent Missouri State School Board meeting in Columbia, Missouri, a parent received an unsettling response from the vice president of the board on the role of the federal government in the country’s eduction system.

Quote
Throughout Jones’ remarks, the father maintained his composure and let the board member fully explain his position.

“That is where you and I would completely disagree. Sounds like you are more of a globalist and I am more of a localist. I think it should be done, your education should come from the local level,” the parent responded.

“OK, we disagree,” Jones said.

  T.. if only the truth were revealed rather than the propaganda, a history teacher told me after I questioned an issue, this is what the Goverment has specified, thats it..........( he was a tad embarresed ) i gave up my quest for archeology, history, closed the book...........
Later I watched a young teacher be fired for stepping out and speaking the truth, it saddened me to no end, she even had the insight to speak about the future oil wars back in the 60's... I will never forget this couragious young woman..
