Sex Life Was ‘Out of Step,’ Strauss-Kahn Says, but Not Illegal

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/14/world/europe/dominique-strauss-kahn-says-lust-is-not-a-crime.html?pagewanted=1&_r=1

Mr. Strauss-Kahn, 63, a silver-haired economist, is seeking to throw out criminal charges in an inquiry into ties to a prostitution ring in northern France with the legal argument that the authorities are unfairly trying to “criminalize lust.”

That defense and the investigation, which is facing a critical judicial hearing in late November, have offered a keyhole view into a clandestine practice in certain powerful circles of French society: secret soirees with lawyers, judges, police officials, journalists and musicians that start with a fine meal and end with naked guests and public sex with multiple partners.

In France, “Libertinage” has a long history in the culture, dating from a 16th-century religious sect of libertines. But the most perplexing question in the Strauss-Kahn affair is how a career politician with ambition to lead one of Europe’s most powerful nations was blinded to the possibility that his zest for sex parties could present a liability, or risk blackmail.

DSK called women ‘luggage’ in ‘text messages planning sex parties’

By wmw_admin on March 31, 2012
...
In one text to a businessman friend, who has also been charged, he wrote: ‘Do you want to (can you?) come to a great sexy nightclub in Madrid with me (and some equipment) on July 4?’

And in a series of messages sent to men accused of hiring prostitutes for him, he referred to girls as ‘a bit of stuff’ and ‘little thing’.

In one text Strauss-Kahn asked: ‘Are you bringing anything in your luggage?’
...
The 62-year-old economist is accused of knowingly using prostitutes paid for by two businessmen, who illegally used company funds to organise orgies in Europe and America.

If found guilty he would face up to 20 years in prison.

In interviews with investigators released earlier a French prostitute gave police details of ‘bestial’ orgies attended by the disgraced banker and his friends.

The hooker told police it ‘was rare to find men who showed as little respect for girls’ as the shamed former IMF chief – saying how she was pinned down by the wrists to perform degrading sex acts by one of his alleged cohorts.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn: I was naive to think I could get away with orgies
Dominique Strauss-Kahn has broken his silence to admit he had been "naïve" to think he could get away with attending orgies, but added: "You'd be surprised who turned up to them".

He slammed the civil lawsuit, saying: "In the US, you only launch this kind of suit against someone who's very rich. The plaintiff's lawyers thought I was. I'm not." Besides his consulting activities, the economist said he wanted to get involved in "big international projects" that would "change people's lives" but admitted: "For now, I'm still hindered by my (legal) situation."

Owner Of D.C.-Based Online Prostitution Enterprise Pleads Guilty To Money Laundering, Racketeering Offenses
June 7, 2012

ALEXANDRIA, VA—Otasowie Christopher Asuen, 26, of Washington, D.C., aka “Gene” or “Chris,” pled guilty yesterday to a racketeering offense and conspiring to launder the proceeds of his online prostitution enterprise that employed more than 50 prostitutes and generated more than $1.8 million from servicing clients in the Washington, D.C. area. Asuen is the fifth defendant to plead guilty in this organized crime investigation.

Neil H. MacBride, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia; James W. McJunkin, Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI’s Washington Field Office; and J. Thomas Manger, Montgomery County Chief of Police, made the announcement after the plea was accepted by United States District Judge Liam O’Grady.

“Mr. Asuen and others recruited women from throughout the U.S. and Canada to work for them as prostitutes and laundered the millions they earned from this illicit activity,” said U.S. Attorney MacBride. “The convictions we’ve secured to date have helped dismantle a criminal organization that generated large profits in a very short time period.”

“This large-scale prostitution enterprise generated more than a million dollars in illegal revenue that was used to purchase expensive cars, watches, and jewelry,” said Assistant Director in Charge McJunkin. “I commend the investigative work of the FBI agents and officers from Montgomery County Police Department, which resulted in this guilty plea.”

Asuen pled guilty to conspiring to commit money laundering, which carries a maximum of 20 years in prison, and conspiring to travel and use interstate facilities in aid of a racketeering enterprise, which carries a maximum of five years in prison. He is scheduled to be sentenced on August 31, 2012 before United States District Judge Leonie M. Brinkema.

According to court documents, since 2009, Asuen has owned an online prostitution business—first named Prime DC and later DMV INDYS—that used Craigslist and Backpage to recruit prostitutes from throughout the United States to work in the Washington, D.C. area. He paid the travel and hotel costs and received 40 percent of the women’s hourly rates; the women would keep 60 percent. Once the prostitute arrived at the pre-arranged hotel, he or an associate would take their photograph and post it—along with details about the prostitutes, the services they would perform, and their rates—on the business’ website to solicit clients.

Asuen also partnered with Kuraye Tamunoibi Akuiyibo, 33, of Washington, D.C., who operated another D.C.-based online prostitution enterprise called Classy DC Escorts. The two men and their employees shared information about their clientele, prostitutes, and the services of various money collectors. Akuiyibo admitted that he assaulted an employee whom he believed was going to open a rival prostitution business and threatened to hurt a prostitute whom he thought had cheated him of money.

Since 2009, Asuen employed more than 50 prostitutes and generated more than $1.8 million in gross revenue. Akuiyibo employed more than 100 prostitutes from throughout the United States and Canada and generated more than $1.6 million. Court records state that both men laundered the proceeds from their prostitution enterprises through bank accounts and purchases, including luxury items such as cars, watches, and jewelry.
...
This investigation was conducted by the FBI’s Washington Field Office and the Montgomery County Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Kimberly R. Pedersen and Patricia Haynes are prosecuting the case on behalf of the United States.
Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole ; He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. - Job 5

SHUT DOWN THE WASTEFUL IMF
By DOUG BANDOW on 6.27.11 @ 6:09AM

Dominique Strauss-Kahn, or who will replace him, are minor matters compared to scandal of the IMF's very existence.

The International Monetary Fund often is in the news, but rarely in the U.S. That changed when Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn ended up at New York's Rikers prison charged with rape. Strauss-Kahn's travail well symbolizes the IMF: an institution of entitlement and privilege focused on mulcting the rest of us.

The leading contender to replace Strauss-Kahn, who resigned while proclaiming his innocence, is French Finance Minister Christine Lagarde. The board plans to make its selection by June 30, but instead should shutter the organization.
...

The IMF famously imposes policy changes as part of its lending programs. Unfortunately, there is no evidence that the organization has effectively promoted economic growth. Even its advocates can point to few successes.

Why Does the World Feel Wrong? Because Psychopaths Are In Control

This is what the IMF thinks of as Austerity Measures:

Christine Lagarde and Dominique Strauss-Kahn
Young missing girls; Political paedophilia in France and Belgium.

...
On 16 October 2011, France's respected Journal du Dimanche reported that a French police chief, Jean-Christophe Lagarde, allegedly organised an orgy for Dominique Strauss-Kahn.

Strauss-Kahn is the former boss of the IMF and he had hoped to become President of France.

Enquête sur des voyages de prostituées à New York - Le JDD (Translate this page)

The story has links to Masonic lodges, underage prostitutes, a Belgian pimp, places connected to the Dutroux affair, and hotels in the USA.

Police Chief, Jean-Christophe Lagarde

The police chief reportedly organised the orgy with Strauss-Kahn in a Paris hotel.
The police chief reportedly accompanied prostitutes to New York to meet up with Strauss-Kahn.
The allegations emerged during a police inquiry into a child prostitution racket in Lille in France.
Lagarde is a departmental commissioner in France's national police force.
A prostitute has told police that Lagarde and Strauss-Kahn organised the orgy in the spring of 2010 'in a duplex suite of a luxury central Paris hotel'
.

Dutroux provided girls for top people.

Journal du Dimanche has seen police inquiry documents.
Journal du Dimanche reports that the prostitute ring provided girls for luxury French hotels, including the Carlton in Lille, and for hotels in the USA.
Girls are thought to have been selected for Strauss-Kahn by an alleged pimp called Dominique Alderweireld (aka Dodo).
Dodo lives in Belgium, the home of Marc Dutroux, who reportedly provided young girls for NATO's elite.
Dodo reportedly made several trips to the USA.

The people who blew the whistle on the underage prostitution racket, involving the Carlton Hotel in Lille, include a "commission" in Belgium and anonymous information linked to disputes between Masonic lodges in Lille.

Dutroux territory

Involved in the story is René Kojfer, 70, a "public relations" person at the Carlton Hotel.
Kojfer is linked to a Freemason temple (the Grand Orient) in Lille.
Kojfer knows Dodo.
Dodo is reportedly linked to a dozen brothels in the area around Tournai and Mons, in Belgium.
Reportedly, Kojfer has sent clients of the Carlton Hotel to these brothels.
Reportedly, Dodo's prostitutes have come to work at the Carlton Hotel and two other hotels in Lille.
Dodo (Alderweireld) is reportedly involved with underage prostitutes.

Victims of Dutroux

Emmanuel Riglaire is a lawyer and rising star of the Bar in Lille. He has been remanded in custody.
A construction contractor, David Roquet, has been detained.
Five police officials, including three retired, are the focus of investigations

...
The Daily Mail reports that police chief, Jean-Christophe Lagarde, who hoped to run a security operation for Strauss-Kahn if he became president of France, was accused by the prostitute of organizing the orgy in 2010. He is also said to have flown prostitutes to New York for Strauss-Kahn when the latter was working at the IMF, and was reportedly in Washington D.C. just before DSK was arrested in New York.

The prostitute was being questioned as part of an investigation into an underage prostitution ring that emerged in the French city of Lille. Seven members of staff at the Carlton Hotel in Lille have been arrested in connection.

Strauss-Kahn has been named as a potential client of the prostitute racket. He has denied the allegation, the New York Post reporting that he wishes to be questioned by police so that he can put an end to the claim.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn: Unlikely Macho Man

http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2012/oct/15/dominique-strausskahn-paranoid-erotic-fantasies-power
Dominique Strauss-Kahn and our paranoid-erotic fantasies of power

Might DSK's embrace of his reputation for libertinism be a sly manipulation of what people like to imagine elites get up to?

Dominique Strauss-Kahn is out defending his virtue. He says he is only guilty of lust and not of turpitude, that the international sex parties that were thrown in his honor (quite apart from the accusations that he attacked a hotel maid in New York) have a long tradition among men of a certain rank.

This raises two interesting questions: can a politician, even a French politician, actually try to explain and justify sexual desire? And how different is the sex that powerful people have from what you and I have?
...
In essence, Strauss-Kahn is making an Eyes Wide Shut defense. The 1999 Stanley Kubrick film attempted to link power and sex, high-class social rituals and eroticism. This was eroticism as might exist in the minds of fashion-conscious social climbers: wealthy people going to elegant dinners and having sex with each other, in masks.

Strauss-Kahn's version is very close to this; says the New York Times about the DSK parties:

"The exclusive orgies called "parties fines" – lavish champagne affairs costing around $13,000 each – were organized as a roving international circuit from Paris to Washington by businessmen seeking to ingratiate themselves with Mr Strauss-Kahn."

In the description of one source cited by the Times:

"There was a rhythm to the gatherings, with everyone dressed for a sit-down dinner … Then over time, couples separated, 'kisses were exchanged between one woman and another and between a husband and the wife of a friend' until the guests 'all ended up nude.'"

Strauss-Kahn's defense falls back on the peculiarly French, noting his country's history of "libertinage". But it is also something of a white paper about the culture of male desire – or, at least, that of powerful men. He admits to the proud place that lust occupies in his life and outlines its extensive rituals and activities. Rather innocently, he says that he "long thought that I could lead my life as I wanted, and that includes free behavior between consenting adults. There are numerous parties that exist like this in Paris, and you would be surprised to encounter certain people."

former IMF head, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, lived a decadent lifestyle straight out of Stanley Kubrick’s final film Eyes Wide Shut
...
As we see in this amazing article from the NY Times, former IMF head, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, lived a decadent lifestyle straight out of Stanley Kubrick’s final film Eyes Wide Shut (which was clearly a warning about the perversion rampant within the elite class).  I am not judging his lifestyle so much as saying that when the most powerful leaders in the financial world are behaving like this they are incapable of ever doing the right thing because they are compromised and can be blackmailed into anything.  I will allow these quotes from the article speak for themselves.

(Sounds like a description of the Bilderberg group!)

The exclusive orgies called “parties fines” — lavish Champagne affairs costing around $13,000 each — were organized as a roving international circuit from Paris to Washington by businessmen seeking to ingratiate themselves with Mr. Strauss-Kahn. Some of that money, according to a lawyer for the main host, ultimately paid for prostitutes because of a shortage of women at the mixed soirees orchestrated largely for the benefit of Mr. Strauss-Kahn, who sometimes sought sex with three or four women.

At L’Aventure, Mr. Strauss-Kahn and a few friends gathered in a private basement club, carpeted in purple and black tiger stripes, with a female Belgian escort and Mr. Alderweireld’s companion, Béatrice Legrain, who recalled that lunch in an interview.

The investigation into the prostitution ring in Lille ultimately swept up 10 suspects, including Mr. Strauss-Kahn. They knew each other largely through their membership as French Freemasons, according to Karl Vandamme, a defense lawyer who represents Fabrice Paszkowski, the owner of a medical supply company who played a crucial role in organizing the sex parties.

Ladies and gentlemen, you have been introduced to the leaders of the free world…and we are supposed to believe the IMF is going to save us?

Dominique Strauss-Kahn out on bail, IMF sexual playground
By Andrew Zarowny

During a court hearing yesterday, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the now resigned, former director of the International Monetary Fund, was released from Rikers Island jail. Strauss-Kahn posted bail, $1 million in cash, as well as a bond for an additional $5 million dollars. He must also pay some $200,000 per month for a private security firm to keep him under house arrest at a swanky upper-Eastside apartment while wearing an electronic tether. Strauss-Kahn is charged with sexual assault and unlawful imprisonment of a maid from the Sofitel Hotel at Times Square. The allegations of his misconduct were followed by claims from a French journalist, whom alleges that the former IMF chief had once assaulted her as well.

A story in the New York Times yesterday tells of how there may well be a climate of sexual misconduct at the IMF headquarters in Washington, DC

Their offices have diplomatic immunity, much like a foreign embassy, where the laws of the United States do not apply.

The NY Times story cites former IMF officials and employees that claim of alleged incidents that may have been encouraged by the IMF′s own policies, which allow managers to pursue women subordinates.

Carmen M. Reinhart, an economist who worked for the IMF from 2001 till 2003, referred to the office environment as “It’s sort of like ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’”.

Cash-rich IMF plans to refurbish its 'opulent' headquarters

Critics sceptical of fund's plans for its Washington offices after Irish crisis

by Larry Elliott
The Observer, Saturday 18 December 2010

The IMF has said that it's Washington DC headquarters are in need of 'essential' refurbishment.

...
Fresh from imposing tough conditions on Ireland as the price of its bailout, the International Monetary Fund's bureaucrats plan to concentrate on a matter closer to home in the new year – sprucing up their offices in downtown Washington DC.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the fund's managing director, quietly announced last week that he would be asking permission from the organisation's cash-strapped member states to refurbish its main headquarters building.

An IMF spokesman said the work was an essential overhaul of the 40-year-old premises and compared it to the need to put a new engine in a 20-year-old car. "This is about the heating, the ventilation, the air-conditioning," he said. "This is work that can't be postponed."

Pressure groups greeted the news with scepticism, pointing out that eight years ago the fund spent $150m on a second building, complete with external waterfall, after saying its original site – known as HQ1 – was no longer big enough for its staff of highly-paid international officials.

They said the fund was now flush with cash after selling some of its stock of gold and extracting fees and interest payments from troubled countries such as Ireland and Greece.

Melinda St Louis, deputy director of Jubilee USA Network said: "At this precarious time for the world's poor, the IMF has just earned at least $2bn [£1.2bn] in extra cash from gold sales and now proposes upgrading its already opulent office building in Washington DC.

"Should the IMF get another stunning fountain at its headquarters or should countries in sub-Saharan Africa receive debt relief to invest in clean water for the most vulnerable? Rather than building more marble staircases in DC, the IMF should share its wealth with poor countries that desperately need those funds to build rural health clinics, schools and basic infrastructure."

IMF Recruitment - Facilities Management

The IMF owns and occupies two Class A headquarters office buildings encompassing approximately 3 million gross square feet in the heart of downtown Washington, DC, just three blocks from the White House.

In addition, the IMF owns an extended stay apartment building  used by its [ SEX WORKERS, ]  teaching Institute, a recreation facility used by many international agencies, and leases nearly 200 residential and commercial office properties around the world. The Fund's Facilities Management Division (FMD) is responsible for managing these facilities and provides a wide range of facilities-related services that support the Fund's core mission and influences its bottom line.

IMF's Dupont Hotel on Path to Redesign
Posted by Ken on 7/18/2011 09:34:00 AM

The IMF wants to clean up its hotel image. No, not the mental image of DSK in a hotel room (eww), but its image in Dupont Circle-West End, where it has run a nondescript apartment-hotel since 1991 for visiting professionals from the IMF and World Bank. The stately location - a visible corner 2 blocks from Dupont Circle at 21st and New Hampshire Ave. - may offer a convenient respite for employees, kitchenettes and multilingual staff, but its tired structure needs a reinvention befitting its international clientele.

To that end, the IMF will gut and refit the 10-story structure, now with 100 apartment units, into a more contemporary visage, taking the same shape as the existing edifice, and sell the smaller of the two buildings that now make up the Concordia Hotel. The IMF will employ Washington D.C. architects Bonstra | Haresign to redesign the '60's motif by gutting the building and keeping the existing concrete frame.

The IMF will sell off the Bond Building (see picture below), now accounting for 78 of the 178 units of the Concordia and connected on the ground floor. Initial plans are for a LEED Gold certified building that will slightly increase the interior space with the same footprint, gaining additional units over the current 100-unit configuration, adding rooftop amenities for residents. The Concordia, appraised by the DC government for $58m, was designed in 1965 by Berla & Able who, in a more inspired moment, also designed the Omni Shoreham hotel in Woodley Park.

Next door, Bonstra | Haresign's designs are already coming to fruition. The architects designed a pavilion that will add more retail to the corner of New Hampshire and M Streets in the West End, where Meiwah now sits. Construction is about midway to completion.

Even if the thought of DSK makes the idea of staying in an IMF hotel unappealing, at least the avenue will get what is expected to be an upgrade, erasing one more '60's building.

Building permits have not yet been issued for the project.

SATANIC MESSAGE REACHES FOUR BILLION THROUGH GREAT BRITAIN OLYMPICS
By Paul McGuire
...
A growing number of people are starting to understand that there is a Satanic and global secretive global elite who are in control of global finance, culture, science and politics. The door to this higher level understanding can begin with something as simple as explaining who the Illuminati are and their symbolism on the back of the U.S. dollar. The occult pyramid with the all-seeing eye of Lucifer which has the actual words “Novus Ordo Seclorum,” which means New Order of the Ages, or New World Order. The light bulb goes on and they begin to see through the doorway of ever increasing understanding. People seem to sense that the global financial system is being manipulated. Due to the internet, millions of people are beginning to understand the relationship between the Illuminati and the international banking families who control the Federal Reserve.

Starting in the late 1800s, the Illuminati developed highly sophisticated brainwashing and occult-based mind control sciences which enabled them to control the thinking of much of the world and even entire nations. Fabian socialists, and very possibly agents of British intelligence like Aldous Huxley, H.G. Wells and George Orwell, all wrote science fiction novels that predict a future where all citizens are controlled by scientific brainwashing.

Interestingly, the Tavistock Institute in Great Britain developed the science of mind control, with the help of Sigmund Freud and other scientists. These methodologies of mind control spread to the most elite universities and think tanks, to be used in the U.S. Adolph Hitler and the Third Reich, which was heavily involved in Satanism and the occult, developed the brutal, but effective, trauma-based mind control, that used powerful drugs, torture, sexual abuse and Satanic rituals to program people. After World War II, the U.S. brought in nine thousand of Nazi scientists under Operation Paperclip, who specialized in rocket science and mind control science. Today, the average person has no idea how advanced the science of mind control has become.

Strauss-Kahn Settles Sex Suit
December 10, 2012
By ANDREW STRICKLER

A New York City hotel maid's sexual assault lawsuit against former International Monetary Fund chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn came to an end Monday, when a Bronx judge said a settlement had been reached.

But the details of the settlement were not disclosed. "The amount of the settlement…is confidential," said Judge Douglas McKeon, during a court hearing in the Bronx on Monday.
...

Mr. Strauss-Kahn's name is still cited in a sexual case in France. French prosecutors have filed preliminary charges of "aggravated pimping" against him, as part of a broader judicial investigation into an alleged prostitution ring based out of the northern French city of Lille.

Lawyers for Mr. Strauss-Kahn have rejected the pimping charges, saying their client participated in sex parties, but didn't know women present may have been prostitutes. They have appealed against the charges, saying investigating magistrates have no ground to prosecute Mr. Strauss-Kahn. A judge is expected to decide whether magistrates should pursue their investigation or drop the charges on Dec. 19.

Prostitution is legal in France; pimping isn't. To indict Mr. Strauss-Kahn, prosecutors would have to prove that he played an organizational role in the alleged prostitution ring.

This summer, Mr. Strauss-Kahn separated from Anne Sinclair, his third wife. He has delivered lectures on the global economy in places including South Korea, Ukraine and Morocco, and in September he set up a management consulting firm called Parnasse in Paris.

Court upholds Strauss-Kahn pimping probe
French court rejects ex-IMF chief’s call to drop inquiry into alleged participation in a prostitution ring.

A French court has decided to maintain aggravated pimping charges against Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the former head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Wednesday's ruling in the French city of Douai means a judicial investigation into allegations that Strauss-Kahn and associates arranged sex parties with prostitutes will continue.

The case revolves around a suspected luxury prostitution ring in northern France.

Strauss-Kahn, once tipped to become president of France, is under fire over parties in the so-called Carlton Affair, named after a hotel at the centre of the inquiry.

Strauss-Kahn's lawyers said their client attended "libertine" gatherings but did not know some women present were paid.

Dominique Alderweireld, known as Dodo la Saumure, poses outside the Tournai justice palace on June 21, 2012. Alderweireld is charged with several counts, including acts of running a prostitution ring and inhuman and degrading treatment toward prostitutes in precarious situations. In France, he is suspected in a prostitution case at the hotel Carlton scandal in the northern city of Lille, involving former International Monetary Fund chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn.

Glimpse into Illuminati Sex Practices
October 17, 2012

"The investigation into the prostitution ring in Lille ultimately swept up 10 suspects, including [former IMF Chief] Mr. Strauss-Kahn. They knew each other largely through their membership as French Freemasons."

(New York Times, abridged by henrymakow.com)

...
French Prosecutors are investigating whether Alderweireld supplied the prostitutes that attended the "special evenings" in Paris, and even in Washington.

The background of these adult games is long and complex and reads like an X-rated film noir where ambitions, perversions, money-laundering, delusions of grandeur, greed, and manipulation of the authority converge on an international scale. Le Figaro has a series of articles on the Carlton Hotel scandal, one of which is entitled "The Underside of the Carlton Hotel Affair".

Here are just the opening paragraphs, which should be enough to give you an idea of the prevailing tone:

There was talk about call-girls, orgies, and juicy details. Then they discovered that this incredible "palace scandal" that is sullying the dignitaries of Lille, the police and also… DSK, masked an international network of prostitution, drug trafficking and trafficking of all sorts. It was an instructive investigation
...
The story goes on for many pages. The friendship in question is that between Dodo la Saumure and René Kojfer. Dodo began life as a Frenchman, but moved his business across the border to Belgium. A prostitute named Béatrice Legrain, known as Béa, became his companion, and was presumably molested by DSK as described above. Béa, who was known to be "borderline psychopathic", was multi-lingual and aided in the proliferation of the business in foreign countries, including Spain, Morocco and Eastern Europe. The business may have included child prostitution, as Kojfer was said to prefer little girls, as well as weapons trafficking. It is possible, though not certain, that cocaine traffic was also one of Dodo's activities, and that the drug was transported by his right-hand man Jean-Jacques Martin, nicknamed The Assassin.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn paid hotel maid £950,000
 20 Jan 2013

Dominique Strauss-Kahn made a £950,000 pay-off to the New York hotel maid who accused him of trying to rape her, according to reports.

The economist, 64, and chambermaid Nafissatou Diallo reached the deal to end all legal action for sexual assault against him the US.

The six-figure sum is considerably less than the £3.5 million Mr Strauss-Kahn was earlier reported to have paid Ms Diallo in December, France's Journal de Dimanche newspaper said.

The 30-year-old chambermaid then paid £320,000 in legal fees, leaving her a settlement of £630,000, the Sunday paper reported.

Mr Strauus-Kahn - once tipped as a future president of France - was arrested in May 2011 for trying to rape Guinea immigrant Miss Diallo when she came to clean his suite in New York's Sofitel hotel.

He was charged with attempted rape, sexual abuse, a criminal sexual act, unlawful imprisonment and forcible touching and held at the city's notorious Ryker's Island prison.

He claimed Ms Diallo had consented to sex but later described the encounter as 'a moral failure' that he would regret his whole life.

All charges were then dropped a month later over concerns about the housekeeper's credibility.
She went on to file a civil case against him.

I'm glad to see they are getting spotted. These guys have big bucks and power, they can buy about anything they so desire no matter how disgusting or illegal.
Prostitution has been around since the beginning of civilization, nothing will change that. Sexual deviants who use children have been as also, BUT these pedos, beasts, are a different subject today. It's on a par with murder as far as I'm concerned and should be treated as such.
Anyone despite their wealth or position in society who has sexually abused a child should  be jailed in general population, watch the rate of child abuse diminish. That goes for Pols, clergy or any other titled shiitbag.
Highbrows consider this an illness well its not a flu or case of acne is it, the victims will never be the same. I knew guys in Massachusetts who had been raped by a priest when young kids, they never got over it. Cardinal Law covered for the pedo clergy, he was sent to the Vatican as punishment? GO FIGURE!

Strauss-Kahn to face pimping trial
26 July 2013 Last updated at 10:08 ET

Former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn is to face trial on pimping charges, French prosecutors say.
Investigating magistrates have decided he should be tried in connection with an alleged prostitution ring at a hotel in Lille.
The former presidential hopeful has admitted attending sex parties there, but says he did not know that some of the women were paid prostitutes.

The case is the last of the sex-related allegations faced by Mr Strauss-Kahn.

The so-called Carlton affair, named after a hotel in Lille, involves sex parties that Strauss-Kahn has admitted attending. He says he was unaware that the women who participated were prostitutes.

Strauss-Kahn is charged with aggravated pimping. Under French law pimping is a broad crime that can encompass aiding or encouraging the act of prostitution. Strauss-Kahn was charged with the more serious form because it allegedly involved more than one prostitute.

The crime carries a maximum term of 10 years in prison and a fine of €1m(£860,000)

Campaigners protest against United Nations stance on prostitution
Former prostitutes and anti-sex trafficking groups criticise UN call to decriminalise pimping, brothel-keeping and buying sex
Joanna Walters in New York
theguardian.com, Saturday 21 September 2013

Former prostitutes and groups campaigning against sex trafficking will launch an international protest against UN reports that recommend the decriminalisation of pimping, brothel-keeping and the purchase of sex.

As global leaders gather in New York for the UN general assembly, the protesters claim that decriminalisation of the sex trade will endanger women.

"Governments around the world look to the United Nations to determine their policy and I am dismayed that any part of the UN would call for the decriminalisation of pimping and brothel-keeping," said Lauren Hersh, the New York director of the women's rights group Equality Now.
...
Stella Marr, a former prostitute and founder of the US group Sex Trafficking Survivors United, said few people are prostitutes by genuine choice, too many end up murdered and the vast majority would leave the trade if they felt there was a viable alternative
...
A London School of Economics report last year by a development professor, Eric Neumayer, claimed that legalisation of prostitution in the Netherlands, Germany and New Zealand and the subsequent growth in demand had led to increases in human trafficking, or coercion of people into the industry. The report called this "the dark side of globalisation".
...
A Dutch government report in 2007 found that, despite prostitution being legal and regulated in the Netherlands, prostitutes' emotional wellbeing was lower than pre-legalisation and "the use of sedatives has increased".

Dominique Strauss-Kahn to be Serbia's economic adviser
Spt 15 2013

BELGRADE, Serbia --   Former International Monetary Fund chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn, who faces aggravated pimping charges in France, will serve as an economic adviser for Serbia's top officials, the Balkan country's deputy prime minister said.

Aleksandar Vucic told state television late Thursday that Strauss-Kahn will advise him and Serbia's prime minister and finance minister on restructuring the country's large foreign debt.

Vucic, a powerful Serbian politician, asserted that the charges against Strauss-Kahn did not tarnish his reputation as a financial expert. To claim they have, Vucic said, would be as illogical as saying Pablo Picasso's abilities as a painter should be judged by his unfair treatment of some of the women and children in his life.

The French case revolves around an alleged hotel prostitution ring and hinges on whether Strauss-Kahn knew he was partying with prostitutes and whose money was used to pay them. His lawyers have said Strauss-Kahn had attended "libertine" gatherings but did not know that some women there were paid.

No trial date has been set for Strauss-Khan and 13 other people in France, a country where it is not illegal to pay for sex, but it is against the law to solicit or to run a prostitution business.

The case put Strauss-Kahn, 64, back in the spotlight after his arrest in New York in May 2011, based on allegations by a Manhattan hotel maid that he had sexually assaulted her. He resigned as IMF chief before those charges were dropped.

Vucic said that former Austrian Chancellor Alfred Gusenbauer, who worked as a consultant for Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, will become Serbian government's political adviser.

The source added, “None of the diplomats have been super wild, they’re all enjoying themselves but remaining very low-key.”

Strauss-Kahn best man to replace France's Hollande, says leaked poll
Latest update : 2014-03-05

Disgraced former IMF director Dominique Strauss-Kahn is the most qualified to replace France’s unpopular president, François Hollande, according to a shock survey French newspaper Le Parisien chose not to publish.

Asked which French politician they trusted to run the economy, 56% of those surveyed named the 64-year-old former head of the International Monetary Fund, whose political career has been ruined by a string of sex scandals and criminal allegations.

Alain Juppé, a former foreign minister, came second with 53%, while former president Nicolas Sarkozy pooled 49%.
...

France Info said it highlighted “a desire for competence at the highest levels”, regardless of Strauss-Kahn’s private life.

'Le Perv'

A former finance minister and respected economist, Strauss-Kahn saw his political fortunes plummet in 2011 following his arrest in New York on suspicion of sexually assaulting a hotel chambermaid.

...
The man US tabloids branded “Le Perv” faces further legal battles in his home country, where he is due to appear in court later this year on “aggravated pimping” charges.

Ex-IMF Dominique Strauss-Kahn cleared of Rape and Pimping Charges

Dominique Strauss-Kahn Acquitted Of "Aggravated Pimping", Just a "Libertine Who Enjoys Group Sex"
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-06-12/dominique-strauss-kahn-acquitted-aggravated-pimping-just-libertine-who-enjoys-group-

Moments ago, the troubled former head of the IMF whose reign at the top of the international bailout organization ended dramatically after an alleged 2011 rape scandal in a NYC hotel the charges for which were later dropped by not before terminating his employment at the IMF, his marriage and his political career, Dominique Strauss-Kahn finally got some good news when a French court cleared him of "aggravated pimping" charges in which he was accused of helping to operate a prostitution ring of seven women out of the Carlton Hotel in the northern French city of Lille.
...

And while the case if now closed, DSK did provide some entertaining justifications for his behavior. Via The local.fr:

====
At his trial in February, Strauss-Kahn calmly fended off the accusations, saying that while he was a libertine who enjoyed group sex, he was unaware any of the women attending the soirees had been paid to be there.

However, he lost his temper as lawyers pushed the former prostitutes to recount brutal scenes in which he sodomised them, allegedly without their permission, saying he was not on trial for "deviant practices".

"I must have a sexuality which, compared to average men, is more rough. Women have the right not to like that whether they are prostitutes or not," he said.

He said the use of prostitutes "horrified" him and that paying for sex would be too great a risk for a man at the head of the IMF, which was busy "saving the world" from the financial crisis that began in 2008.

===

So brutally sodomising women without their permission is ok, but paying for prostitutes is bad? That seems fairly logical.

In any event, in their closing arguments, his lawyers said the case against him had "collapsed" into nothing more than an indictment of Strauss-Kahn's morals, and the prosecution appeared to agree.
...
In another boost for Strauss-Kahn, two ex-prostitutes who attended the orgies dropped a civil lawsuit against him, with lawyers saying they lacked enough proof to win the case.

To summarize: a lot of money was exchanged behind the scenes and DSK is now free.

Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole ; He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. - Job 5

Hahaha, I have a wide taste in music. My family owns a nightclub on Bourbon Street. Blues, Jazz, Mo-Town, Hip Hop, Top 40, Disco, Rock n Roll, Classic Rock, Heavy Metal, Speed Metal, Classical and some Opera. I love music.
This country did not achieve greatness with the mindset of "safety first" but rather "live free or die".

IMF, World Bank push back against globalization’s detractors
by AP
13 Oct 20171

WASHINGTON (AP) — The leaders of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank are vowing to fight climate change, combat income inequality and push back against rising populist skepticism over free trade and international collaboration.

“We know from experience that international cooperation works — from reconstruction after World War II more than 70 years ago to fighting Ebola just a few years back,” IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde told delegates representing many of the IMF’s 189 member countries.

The IMF and World Bank wrap up three days of meetings Saturday. Finance ministers from the G-20 major economies concluded two days of talks on Friday.

The global economic integration that the IMF, World Bank and G-20 represent is under siege. The British, unhappy with an influx of immigrants, voted to leave the European Union last year. The Americans sent Donald Trump to the White House on a promise to tear up bad trade deals and put America first. And nationalist parties gained strength in German elections last month.

But German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said Friday that the populist discontent was misplaced.
