A Brief History of Weather Modification (in parts)

Hi all.

I've been working on a series with the title above. I have been attempting to go back as far as I can to see what is the earliest we have been attempting to modify the weather through scientific methods. I could have gone into indigenous people and the rain dances, but I wanted to stick to modification via science. It's been an interesting trip to explore the past to know what is happening in our present time frame. For all those interested in combating geo engineering, looking back at the past will shed a lot of light on current activities.

My goal through this series is to show that weather modification projects have been going on for a very long time. This will set the stage for all the geo engineering we see now where so many easily dismiss it as tin foil hat stuff. I am going to focus on the earlier methods and the substances used for cloud seeding and cloud generation. The information is there if people actually take a few minutes out of their day to educate themselves on things that actually matter and affect us all. This being one major one.
