I was just watching the National on Canadien TV following Hockey Night in Canada and they were covering the protest there that were indeed peaceful for tonight at least. This has been going on for some time now.  It has not always been as peaceful as this evening I am told.

well its all over the Quebec province, tonight it was all over the province, didnt have lots of people like the other night since weve been hit by huge thunderstorm and even a tornado warning but still a new poll came out and 30% of the population support the new law 78.... so 70% are against it and were getting support from all over the world. Police have been caught infiltrating protest and even making trouble. now, every time they see someone trying to break something or start a fire, the people take care of him and throw them to the police so the police cant blame everyone for them. Today we had a report that a guy who was sent too the hospital a couple of day ago died  from a severed spinal cord after being beaten to death by police officer. People are angry now and protest are only getting bigger.

Here's a picture of the Montreal people marching.

5000? Looks more like 50,000-500,000 to me...

MSM fails again!

I guess I don't follow you.

 Huh

When WAS it taken? My friend just sent it to me and says it's the Montreal protests.

If it wasn't taken last night it must have been recently, in any event.

I'm not saying I know what I'm talking about, but this is what he was talking about, and it looks like well over 100,000 or so...

I am from Montreal and i can tell  you that this was on the 100th day of the protest 4 days ago and they were 250 000 people there. We,ve had an other big protest like this in the beginning, then the group started too split. Those that are for the protest and thoses that are against. They were against each other for a time then came law 78..... .Then thoses that were against the protest and just wanted to go back too school went back to the other side after being beaten by the Cops many time even if they were on there side. Then after law 78, the general public started joining in to protest against this law 78 wich has been declared Illegal according to Amnistie International. Now that the eyes of people all over the world are on us, the Cops have completely vanished.... cant be seen anywhere and guess what?!?!?!?! there arent any black block to smash windows and make protester look bad.  The protester here were aware that the police would infiltrate there rank to stir trouble so every time someone would make trouble, the crowed would run after him and bring him to the police. I remember one night, a group of 50-60 people were smashing windows and cars and the people stopped marching so the black block ended up in front of them and they yeld at the police Arrest them!!! they are the one smashing windows and cars. After 30 mins and seeing all thoses Black block being arrested, they went back to protesting and marching down the street peacefully. The 5000 protester is every night and now its not only in Montreal, its all over the province, even small town of 10 000 people are protesting in the street. This monday, the governement has finaly agreed to meet the leader of the protest and are willing now to make some change to there plan. There first plan was to raise scholaship fees of 75% in 3 years..... Quebec is the place in North America with the highest taxes rates and where the governement is pushing Agenda 21.

Tonight again there is about 4000-5000 protester in the street.
Plus media have been trying too lie about them and claimed that the population was against this  but a poll came out yesterday showing that 60% were against law 78 and even more were against the governement. now today the same compagnie that did the poll came out with a new poll that was saying the opposite but they were caught lying and were pressured by the state Television Channel ( CBC ) too change the number in there poll.

Friend got back with me. Found out that this is allegedly the 22nd.
That does make better sense.

My bad there, sorry for the confusing confusion.

But that picture is nuts!

Well done, O Canadians! Raise some hell! Keep it up!

I'm really proud of you guys. *sniff*

The reason for the low count was reported as a thunderstorm and the late hour, which does seem to make a lot of sense when you think about it.  Getting pounded with lightning at midnight would tend to lower a turnout I might imagine. Wink
