There is a plague of paedophiles that contaminate Scotland and many are in positions of power.
The sad tale of Hollie Greig is a perfect example of paedophiles being protected. The police refuse to acknowledge that there is enough evidence of a crime to press charges despite Hollie receiving £13,500 compensation from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority. Surely the fact that this money has been paid means that there was evidence that a crime was committed. This means that the guilty parties are still out there preying on children. Until those guilty parties are brought to justice this case and many like it should never be closed.
Hollie, who has Downís syndrome, claims that she was abused for 14 years from the age of 6. Hollie has given the names of many of those she says assaulted her, including a senior police officer and an Aberdeen Sheriff. Hollie and her mother Anne, with help from Robert Green, have been campaigning for justice for over a decade. One of the named abusers was Anneís husband Denis who allegedly offered his daughter to a ring of paedophiles. After an in depth investigation by medical staff it was accepted that Holly had been abused, but despite this the case was carefully swept under the carpet.
It is claimed that one of the main reasons that no charges have been brought against these paedophiles is due to the actions of Elish Frances Angiolini QC, a Scottish lawyer who has served in the political role of Lord Advocate in Scotland. It is thought that her efforts helped make sure that no action was taken, not only against the police and Sheriff, but also the main offender, Denis Charles Mackie (Hollieís father) who fled the country along with her brother Greg (who was also named as one of the abusers) and settled in Portugal. There seems to be a pattern of paedophiles escaping justice because of the actions of certain high ranking officials in the justice system that have ties to the Hollie Greig case.
It seems that rather than finding justice for Holly some senior authority figures in Scotland are prepared to obstruct the course of justice. They even went as far as trying to get Hollyís mother put into a mental institution, in an attempt to give Hollieís father custody despite the weighty allegations of sexual abuse. This move failed when a leading psychiatrist certified her as being perfectly sane. The campaign to discredit and intimidate Anne failed because she managed to remain strong against these bullying tactics and consequently forced them to accept the findings of the psychiatrist. It is not worth thinking about what Hollies fate would have been if these tactics had worked and her father had been given custody.
Also worth mentioning is the highly suspicious death of Hollieís Uncle Robert David Greig (Anneís Brother). He was found dead in a burnt out car close to Aberdeen on the 17th of November, 1997. The police decided that this was a simple case of suicide, but when the family attempted to get a copy of the autopsy they were told that no papers existed and that the case was closed. Anne, with much perseverance and support from others, did manage to get access to the autopsy report. The report gave the verdict of death by smoke inhalation. Also mentioned was that Robert had severe damage to his skull, two broken ribs and a broken sternum. Another strange fact in the report was that his body contained much alcohol despite the fact that he was a non-drinker. How the police came up with a closed case suicide verdict is beyond me. Did this non-drinker really get drunk before severely beating himself up? Did he then set the car on fire before climbing in? I am no detective but this sounds very suspicious to me.
It became even more suspicious when Hollie revealed to her mother that her uncle had caught her father abusing her and had warned her father to never touch her again. There is also much mystery about a person who apparently tried to save Robert, with many believing this man to be the murderer.
Whatever you believe some things are unquestionable. Everyone involved in this case acknowledges that Hollie was abused. This means that the guilty parties are still preying on children. These are sociopathic paedophiles walking free and continuing to commit horrendous crimes.
Journalist and Broadcaster Robert Green, who has decided to investigate the Hollie case has found himself the victim of intimidation by the authorities on countless occasions. Both Hollie and her mother have also been victims of such tactics. It is clear that something is very wrong here. There appears to be people in high places who are protecting paedophiles and may even be part of a paedophile ring themselves.
Hollie Greig is just one of many who have been let down by the justice system after suffering at the hands of paedophiles. Liz Docherty is another who claims to be a victim. According to Liz and her paperwork, she is the daughter of Baroness Smith, whose husband was John Smith, the former Labour Party leader. Liz says that she was given to a paedophile under the protection of the Scottish state by Smith as a child so she could pursue her political goals without the burden of a child. There is much evidence to support Lizís claims but like Hollie she has run into a brick wall and suffered much intimidation including 5 of her children being taken by the state under the guise that she is an unfit parent. The attempts to discredit victims by calling them insane when they are verifiably healthy seems to be a common tactic, but even though it can be refuted by a psychologist, somehow it works.
Just take a look at some of these other instances of paedophiles being allowed to walk away from the charges to abuse more children:
Paedophile Gerard Raffell, 42, walked free from court despite admitting repeated abuse of the child between 2004 and 2005.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1258027/Paedophile-Gerard-Raffell-walks-free-18-000-pay-victims-parents.html
A convicted paedophile walked free from court because a judge who wanted to lock him up was told all the local prisons were full.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-396000/Paedophile-walks-free-jails-full.html
Police and church decisions come under scrutiny as leaked documents reveal how a minister was left to prey on boys for years despite warnings.http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2006/jul/23/religion.ukcrime
Princess Beatriceís history teacher escaped jail after pleading guilty to grooming a 12-year-old girl for sex in an internet chat room.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-494339/Outrage-paedophile-teacher-taught-Princess-Beatrice-walks-free.html
These are just a few instances where the justice system has let victims down in recent years. There are many more stories like these.
There have also been many members of parliament convicted for child abuse or child abuse images.http://www.no2abuse.com/index.php/blogs/comments/mps-is-any-child-safe-check-this-list-out/
This paints a worrying picture and also may be an answer to why people like Hollie Greig and Liz Docherty canít seem to get a politician to take their case seriously. Both cases warrant serious investigation but no one in power seems interested, which tells us a lot about those politicians who seem more intent on obstructing the course of justice than keeping our children safe.
A perfect example of this is the recent jailing for a year of Robert Green for the non existent crime of attempting to hand out leaflets calling for abuse inquiry. http://defendfreedomsite.wordpress.com/2012/02/24/robert-green-trial-day-by-day-stonehaven/
Whether they are trying to save their necks or political career, they are not fit to run this country. Itís time we started giving our children the protection they need. Growing up should be a time of wonder and learning, not constant fear and abuse, as so many have suffered.
