*This is a very Swiss set of things to say. Nevertheless Prof Schwab is gently alluding to some interesting developments.
*If there’s a much worse Crisis in the wings, like a Euro crash for instance, this “end of capitalism” riffing would look a lot more plausible. At that point, Klaus’s favorite ultra-rich guests — vastly overpriced bankers — are pretty much over, and he’d have to turn it over to the more imaginative Sir Richard Branson contingent. The ultra-rich will have screwed it up so much that only the ultra-weird can bail it out.
*Talented creatives are probably “hey wow, that’s for me!” at a screed like this, but you might not get what you want. The Singaporean government is tremendously “talented.” SAT scores right off the charts, Singaporeans. And you can ask curators and literary agents what it’s like to get bossed around by creatives.
