Jones mentioned this twice now, so I wanted to comment on it.

It is very common for "less than honorable" people to test alarm systems by triggering the alarms.

You get tired of it going off, so you turn it off, or disregard the alarms.  At the very least, it slows reaction times of the alarm company and police response.

Just a thought, if your alarm keeps going off and try as you might, you just can't find the reason, start looking for sabotage, and start raising you awareness to counter the loss of security and response times.

Yep exactly right! At defcon 19 they even had items to hack your security systems to turn it off or even spy on you. The triggering the system over and over is a simple reverse engineering trick to get you to turn it off, simple but effective.
