This is well-worth viewing and passing on to others, particularly if you live in Australia.  People in the Australian government need to see it, if they have not already.

Expendable: The Political Sacrifice Of Schapelle Corby

How a government wilfully withheld vital evidence from a court of law, deceived its public, orchestrated an unprecedented media campaign, and ruthlessly deployed its organs of state against one of its own citizens.

This is a frightening but entirely true narrative; a grotesque political horror story which is still unfolding today. It exposes what happens when an individual's human rights conflict with strategic political need. It reveals the ruthless use of a government's organs of state, and a regime of unprecedented opinion management, against a single working class woman and her desperate family.

It presents, and demonstrates, the crushing, pre-meditated, and often brutal acts which a western government is prepared to inflict upon a helpless citizen, in pursuit of political expediency.

here you go:

http://www.thejakartaglobe.com/lawandorder/schapelle-corby-may-get-early-release-from-bali-jail/509202

and check out some of the disgusting comments....

in indonesia you stay away from drugs. any kind of drugs. if you don't you're literary gambling with your life. torture, rape, and murder by the cops is common place, even for the smallest offenses like driving with an expired drivers license or stealing a chicken. chances are great that the ones who do the torture are out of their skull from smoking christal-meth. i know. i've seen english teachers getting caught with small amounts of weed and staying in police custody for months, their cell was right next to the interrogation room where the torture was going on 24-7. i'm talking about electricity applied to genitals, broomsticks shoved up asses, forced masturbation, ripped out fingernails, you name it they do it. one of my best friends was caught with 0.2 grams of weed. we were always telling him, man, don't do that shit here, you're black, you're african, they're looking at you for sure. they took his money and let him go. then they came to his house and extorted him for money. and again. and again till he couldn't pay no more because he was broke. they said, now you're going to be an informant for us which he flat out refused. they put a bottle on the table and put a gun to his head. drink!!! what could he do? he drank. they left and he got violently sick. to make a long story short, it took him three days to die, first he went blind, then he became paralyzed and then he went brain dead. they waited 24 hours with giving him oxygen. his father and mother came just in time from africa to see him die. the doctors refused to talk to them, a nurse came and told them very rudely that they had to take the body and pay the (huge) bill right away. they pumped him full with formaldehyde so forget about an autopsy.... i will never forget carrying my friend out of that hospital and putting him in his coffin, he was a beautiful african guy, strong as a bull, a hell of a painter and he just had his first born. i could fill pages with stories like this. cops will come to discotheques and stuff, only way out is through their (australian made) little urine test laboratories, there was a case in medan where people leaped from a discotheque at the top of a high building, dying just to not fall into their hands.... you go to bali and all you hear on the streets is guys going xtc? ganja? lsd? they all work as informants... meanwhile big time corruptors, people that steal millions (and in some cases even billions) of dollars and they either walk free or spent a few months in jail, if they're lower-level they might get a few years, the justice system is completely rotten. in the meantime the US resumed training and supporting the special forces, the guys that go to the outer island and slaughter, slaughter, slaughter, rape, rape, rape, thanks obama for that! the biggest gold/copper mine is in papua (and check out henry kissingers involvement in that), over a 100.000 people have been murdered there, journalists are still barred from entering there. east-timor (they've got oil and lots of it), 300.000 people slaughtered a third of the population (and check henry kissingers involvement in that). most of kalimantan is destroyed, mostly for palm-oil plantations and (mostly) illegal logging, only a small group of people are profiting from that, whole species are disappearing forever, same situation in sumatera where right now they are burning down PROTECTED jungle burning all the urang utangs alive along with many other rare animals. indonesia is the world's third biggest polluter because of these practices.... i LOVE indonesia, it's a fantastic place, the people are great but the elite, in place since 1965 after a CIA sponsored coup are the lowest of the lowest, 220 million people, more than half of them living on less than a dollar a day while it's one of the richest countries in the world, just thinking about it makes me wanna puke....
