At a family get together who are republicans backing santorum, I mention the better of them is Ron Paul. In which they said he gave the sign of the devil at his events he is part of the illuminati. If someone can debunk it that would be great. I don't have that kind of research power or time for all the photo examination. Keep in mind the sign of the horns or devil horns will always be considered satanic worship amongst the Christian folks. Anyone hear of this amongst your family and friends?

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

I'm a musician.  I've been in and out of the music scene for a long time.  The "devil horns" thing is quite prominent and simply means "that rocks!!".

For others, especially if you're a Congressman from the Lone Star State, it might be an homage to Long Horns or just the State of Texas.  Perhaps it's a variant of the music scene thing and simply means something along the lines of "awesome!", "great crowd!" or some such innocuous phrase.

I would even go as far as to ascribe this to the likes of George Bush.  Sure, he's a douchebag, but him and other politicians aren't giving each other secret signs in public to convey some sinister message.  Same goes for the peace sign, bunny ears or fake weener hand signs (that's for Dig Wink).

I totally understand and find it funny how the smear campaign starts when they are scared of the truth.

I would have let them know immediatly that given his voting record agaisnt illuminatti goals and plans their claim was ludicrous at best. Wink

I know the rally that they are referring to. Ron Paul had a deaf grandson in that rally, so just look up what the "I love you" hand sign is, and you'll have your answer.

Also, if they're aware of the Illuminati, why the hell would they back one of their puppets like Rick Santorum?
