John Lovell is a lobbyist who makes a lot of money from making sure you can’t smoke a joint. At some point in the distant past, the war on drugs might have been popular. But not anymore — the polling is clear, but beyond that, the last three Presidents have used illegal drugs. So why do we still put hundreds of thousands of people in steel cages for pot-related offenses? Well, there are many reasons, but one of them is, of course, money in politics. Corruption. Whatever you want to call it, it’s why you can’t smoke a joint without committing a crime, though of course you can ingest any number of pills or drinks completely within the law.
Hi FREE, hammer hits nail on the head..The laws apply to the commoners, not the titled ones.
Hemp (pot) was a required crop for farmers in GW's day. Not only do they use these present laws for profits, but they are well aware hemp can be used for a multidude of industrial products that would hit on corporate profits as well as bigpharma.
I asked a guy last week, a anti pot , would he rather deal with a guy with a gut full of booze, or a man who had smoked a few joints. he put his head down, thought for a minute and said the standard reply, pot leads to narcotics..Some folks are so tuned into the system they have no independent thought.
