Marianne Gingrich has said she could end her ex-husband's career with a single interview.

Earlier this week, she sat before ABCNEWS cameras, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

She spoke to ABCNEWS reporter Brian Ross for two hours, and her explosive revelations are set to rock the trail.

But now a "civil war" has erupted inside of the network, an insider claims, on exactly when the confession will air!

ABCNEWS suits determined it would be "unethical" to run the Marianne Gingrich interview so close to the South Carolina Primary, a curious decision, one insider argued, since the network has aggressively been reporting on other candidates.

A decision was tentatively made to air the interview next Monday, after all votes have been counted.

Gingrich canceled a press conference on Wednesday to deal with the matter.

"He believes that what he says in public and how he lives don't have to be connected," Marianne Gingrich, Newt's wife of 18 years, explained to ESQUIRE last year.

Developing...

UPDATE: The AP reports ABC is now likely to air the segment Thursday on NIGHTLINE.

Sure they are going to aire it, after they tested the waters with their little "rumor." They say they do not want to infleunce the election, when that is their unstated goal from the onset. Itell you, drudge and all of these websites are polling their data points on stories. Thats why we see stories like this one evolve now. They are rewriting these narratives in real time as peopels opinions become discernable. They want to know when one of their stories goes too far and jumps the shark.

If they air this interview of Gingrich's ex-wife,  Gingrich will probably GO WAY DOWN IN THE POLLS  AS HE SHOULD.  It is better for America to find out now rather than later when the Democrats would use this story to bring him down (should he win the nomination).

Hey Newt, looks like these skeletons are going to nail you to the wall.

Poll: Gingrich takes the lead in S.C.

ATLANTA -- The seesaw Republican primary has tipped again in a poll conducted Wednesday night, giving Newt Gingrich the lead in the South Carolina primary.

Gingrich reversed the momentum of Mitt Romney who had an expanding lead in the same poll Sunday night.

Gingrich’s 32 percent to Romney’s 29 puts the two inside the poll’s 3.8 percent margin of error, but the 11-point lead Romney held in the Sunday evening survey has evaporated. And Romney’s strength had been building after wins in the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary.

The polls were conducted by InsiderAdvantage/Majority Opinion Research. Wednesday’s was conducted for the Augusta Chronicle and the Savannah Morning News of 718 registered voters who said they were voting in Saturday’s GOP primary.

Ron Paul is in third place with 15 percent, followed by Rick Santorum’s 11 and Rick Perry’s 3. Seven percent remain undecided and are unlikely to vote while 3 percent favor some other candidate not listed as a choice.

Gingrich, who represented neighboring Georgia in Congress for two decades and rose to become House speaker, took support from Santorum and Perry to pass Romney, according to pollster Matt Towery, InsiderAdvantage CEO. Gingrich captured the lead, Towery said, through his performance in Monday night’s televised debate that included a standing ovation from the live audience in response to his defense of conservatism.

“To come back this much, this quickly, is the debates,” Towery said.

The candidates debate again Thursday night, which will give Gingrich a chance to cement his lead and Romney, a former governor of Massachusetts, to redeem himself.

It is amazing as I flip through channels, that none of the Lame Stream Media is touching this story, NOT EVEN ABC.

IF IT IS 10 AM EST (when they spill the beans), that is less than an hour a way.

Let's see; Perry drops out... and backs Newt on the same day that Newts angry ex is supposedly gonna ruin his already tainted reputation. Seems to me the field is about to get a he'll of a lot smalled...which should benefit Ron Paul immensely.
