I live in colorado and think people should read this. It is a story that colorado springs police motors and El Paso County motors crashed while training putting several in the hospital. The catch is the were doing this on a public street in the day time in business district near the airport. No charges have been filed against the officers. If it were the kids on motorbikes who stunt or an average citizen that crashed they would be issued a ticket most likely a summons for reckless driving involving serious bodily injuries, reckless endagerment, careless driving causing serious bodily injuries. Nope not the police. Hey they were training for motorcades. Everytime this city has motorcades i think at least one cop wrecks. How do i know becuase i was a trooper for 12 years.

One sheriff's deputy and one police officer are still in the hospital after being involved in a motorcycle accident during a training exercise. A second sheriff's deputy was taken to the hospital, but treated and released.
According to the Fire Department, three ambulances responded to 1360 Aviation Way. Two of the officers involved were from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, and one was from the Colorado Springs Police Department.
The officers were participating in a joint training exercise. They were practicing escort duties to prepare for politicians who might visit the area during this election season.
Investigators tell us that one officer was merging back into the escort group when he clipped another motorcycle. According to the CSPD Major Accident Unit, one was knocked down and the other kept going forward. That motorcycle went about 75 yards before it eventually crashed into a third motorcycle. Investigators said that the break system on the motorcycle that kept going may have been damaged, and couldn't break avoiding the second crash.
Corey Brown works in a building in front of where the crash happened.
"It almost sounded like a shotgun or metal or something and that's when we noticed the bikes were down," Brown said.
Investigators say the motorcycle officers practice on Aviation Way because it is typically a quiet street. It also provides a real-life training environment.
"Two of the officers were not moving they were down on the ground the whole time," Brown said. "We could see one officer up and moving which is good, but the other two, they were taken away on stretchers by the paramedics."
Again, all the officers were taken to Memorial Hospital. One of the deputies was admitted for surgery on a non-life threatening injury. The second was treated and released with minor injuries. The CSPD officer received moderate to possibly severe injuries.

Yes the cops were training. That is a good thing since I know numerous motor officers have wrecked while doing motorcades. The BUT comes in they were training in the public streets. Wake up you ingnorant people. You go do exactly what they did and you will go to jail for reckless endangerment, careless driving causing serious bodily injury, or since they know this type of driving is dangerous it is called reckless driving since it was knowningly dangerous. read your own laws folks. They should not be training on public streets period!! Oh what next shooting drills on the streets? Why did cspd cover this and not state patrol since there is a conflict of interests? Where is the DA's Office? Can we say cover up! All those who got tickets for careless or reckless driving should fight it and say why am i getting a ticket for less dangerous actions than what these rocket scientist did? Oh the brakes failed. On a motor bike you also have a clutch the disengages the motor! This means they need to write more tickets to cover the cost of this? This is no different than these motor officers sitting on sidewalks, in bus shelters, center medians to get their ticket qoutas. Laws are for everyone including the police. there are specific rules for emergency driving and practice is not one of them. oh conspiracy theory? three officer riding dangerously crash, put people in the hospital on public streets. Yeap I see a conspiracy. just like our idoit pres signing the NDAA bill to detain and hold citizens with no reason other than they say so, Not to mention our own military can now arrest and kill citizens within united states. Get a clue.
