http://www.theblaze.com/stories/ron-paul-storms-off-set-after-cnn-keeps-asking-newsletter-questions/

Well, well, it turns out hit job specialist Gloria Borger is married to Lance Morgan. Morgan is according to the web site of his employer, Powell Tate,”chief communications strategist at Powell Tate in Washington, D.C. He specializes in developing and executing communications strategies for public policy debates, crisis communications and media training.”

So who might be the clients of Powell Tate, where Borger’s husband is “chief communications strategist and crisis communications” adviser for?

Just about every part of the military industrial-complex that Ron Paul wants to shrink or shutdown. According to the Powell Tate web site, they are strategic communications for among others:

The U.S. Army

The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services

The U.S Agency for International Development

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce

and, I’m not joking, The National Pork Board.

Bottom line Gloria Borger’s husband is as inside Washington DC as you can get.

This was a total hit job, bringing up decades old accusations about a newsletter that everyone agrees was written by others, while Dr. Paul was practicing medicine. Further, as Justin Ramindo has clearly shown , most of the charges were made by people who couldn’t have read the newsletters in full context.

You cannot make this up...

Be careful when taking on the media
Lance Morgan

http://www.powelltate.com/insights/be_careful_when_taking_on_the_media/

If I had to pick the most vexing conundrum we routinely face in dealing with the media, it is the situation in which a client has been criticized and turns to us for advice on how aggressively to respond. Amid all the variables, the black-and-white situations are generally easy to deal with. Huge mistakes, especially when they involve factual errors in major outlets, get the Full Monty.

Minor errors, especially by minor outlets, are often wise to ignore.

But what about the many gray areas: the situations of debatable harm and visibility in which you have to decide whether to give a story oxygen or let it quickly burn itself out by ignoring it? These are tough calls, especially in an era where the blogosphere is ready to pick up and run with anything, anytime and anywhere.

We’re getting a live-fire example of the dangers of over-reaction in the way Redskins owner Dan Snyder has responded to a critical article in the City Paper.

Never heard of the article? Of course not. It was written in November and near as I can tell no one outside the Snyder family knew anything about it. Then this week Mr. Snyder let it be known he wanted the reporter fired and, for good measure, he sued the paper. An article previously ignored generated two news stories by Washington Post media reporter Paul Farhi and a devastatingly funny column by the Washington Post’s Gene Weingarten.

A story that few had read is now the subject of conversation that few can resist. Dan Snyder’s image has undoubtedly suffered more from the reaction to the lawsuit than to the story itself.

I’m not saying Mr. Snyder didn’t have reason to be angry. After all, the City Paper piece was critical. It may have contained lots of incorrect facts. It may have even been defamatory. To him, it might well have been one of those black-and-white situations. But he gave the story enough oxygen (for accuracy I should say hydrogen, but you get the picture) to float the Hindenberg.

To me, firing off a furious letter to the editor and then firing it into the wastepaper basket would have been the better reaction. He would have felt much better, and he wouldn’t have done further damage to his image.

You don’t get hurt by what you don’t say
Lance Morgan

http://www.powelltate.com/insights/you_dont_get_hurt_by_what_you_dont_say/

There’s an old saying in the news business: if you don’t want to see something in print, don’t say it. Even in the good old days – when reporters wore fedoras, wouldn’t dream of writing anything personal about politicians or athletes and strictly adhered to carefully defined ground rules – it always made sense to be careful about the off-hand remark that might land you or your client in trouble just in case the statement was too enticing to leave out of a story.

Well, the more things change the more they stay the same. The fedoras are gone; personal scandals are more newsworthy than pronouncements from the Fed and ground rules are for baseball stadiums, not reporters. But the old saying still makes sense as the media – and hopefully all of us – learned this week when a journalist committed the twin sins of reporting an “off-the-record” comment (bad enough) made by another journalist (a capital offense).

It turns out there was a private listserv called the JournoList. It was used by reporters and columnists to kick around ideas and engage in free-wheeling, supposedly off-the-record conversations. Well, a reporter for Fishbowl D.C. obtained some emails written by the Washington Post’s Dave Weigel and published them. The content touched off a blogosphere controversy that led to Mr. Weigel’s resignation.

It’s unclear whether the Fishbowl reporter was a member of the group or was given the emails by a member. And it doesn’t much matter. Either way, a journalist violated the sanctity of an “off-the-record” communication. For those who hold no special sentiment for members of the Fourth Estate, the episode contains a delicious irony: a reporter devoured by the very transgression unscrupulous journalists sometimes inflict on their subjects.

For the rest of us, and our clients, the episode is a cautionary tale that proves both the good old saying at the top of this blog and some other words to live by: you don’t get hurt by what you don’t say.

On the House floor, Stop (the electronics), Look and Listen
Lance Morgan [/b]
http://www.powelltate.com/insights/on_the_house_floor_stop_the_electronics_look_and_listen/

My old boss, Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan (D-N.Y), would periodically remind his staff that he was one of only 100 people in the United States who could pass laws, ratify international treaties and choose Supreme Court justices. Being a United States senator, in other words, was serious business and affected the nation immediately and well into the future.

According to a recent Gallup Poll, Congress’ approval rating now stands at 13 percent, about the level of infomercial pitchmen.

Allowing such highly regarded legislators the ability to bring electronic devices to the floors of the Senate and House is not going to raise that number. When C-SPAN’s cameras alight on Sen. Jones or Rep. Smith pinging away at their Blackberries or chatting on their cell phones, will the public think they are working to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution?

Unlikely.

The public will think they are doing chores, getting scores or ignoring the bores droning on a few steps away. They will not think the gadget-bound are doing the people’s business. (I’d complain that using the machinery on the floor would inevitably distract the members from listening and contributing to the debate going on around them — except real debates don’t occur much anymore so that’s not too big a problem.)

At a time when we should all be thinking about how to contribute to thoughtful and civil public discourse, this is not the best time for our political leaders to focus attention on devices that promote instantaneous and brief communications. Cell phones, Blackberrys and all the technological marvels we live with — and can’t live without — make our lives better and easier.

Let our senators and representatives use them to their hearts content. But make them walk outside the chambers and do their typing, texting and talking. The American people don’t need another visible reason to question congressional behavior.

Speaking of my old boss — someone who thought and wrote with the next decade, not the next day, in mind — a compilation of his letters has just been published in a book edited by former New York Times reporter Steven Weisman. “Daniel Patrick Moynihan, A Portrait in Letters of an American Visionary,” is a treasure for anyone interested in the man Michael Barone called “America’s best thinker among politicians since Lincoln and its best politician among thinkers since Jefferson.”

Morgan provides communications counsel to clients facing national and international media attention because of public policy controversies, congressional oversight hearings, criminal and civil investigations by law enforcement agencies, labor-management negotiations and trade disputes.

An experienced media trainer, he also regularly prepares clients for Congressional testimony and interviews with major national print and broadcast media, including 60 Minutes and 60 Minutes II.

Morgan has been the primary architect of numerous integrated communications programs on behalf of Powell Tate clients.  In recent years, he has worked with clients in the financial services, pharmaceutical and food industries. He served as the executive in charge of an advertising, grassroots and media relations team working for major food and agricultural companies in educating the public on...

the benefits of biotechnology.

He was the executive in charge of several advertising, grassroots communications, media relations and polling projects during significant public policy controversies in recent years.[/b] He also served as a key advisor to a former cabinet member who was the subject of an investigation by a special prosecutor [Scooter Libby?, Eric Holder?].

Previously, Morgan was the executive in charge of communications for a coalition of associations seeking passage of product liability legislation.  He also served as a principal advisor to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum for all media-related activities connected with the opening of the museum in 1993 and its 10th anniversary in 2003.

Prior to joining the firm in 1988, Morgan served as press secretary and spokesman for the U.S. Senate Iran-Contra investigating committee, which was led by Senators Daniel K. Inouye (D-HI) and Warren Rudman (R-NH).  He was a principal writer and editor of the committee's majority report on the investigation.  From 1983 to 1986, Morgan was press secretary to Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan (D-NY).  During his congressional service, Morgan routinely prepared Democrats and Republicans for newspaper and television interviews.

Before his Senate service, Morgan was a journalist for British and American newspapers.

He is married to Gloria Borger, Senior Political Analyst at CNN.

Just so we are all clear...

This guy manufactures and controls false narratives so that the American people never learn the truth about some of the greatest threats to our national security...

He covered up Iran-Contra which by any account is an open act of treason.

He likely covered up the treason of Valerie Plame.

He covers for Wall Street, Big Pharma, Big Agra, and Biotech...which accounts for the monopolization and destabilization of huge sectors of American industry.

He controls many fake grassroots operations that push his false narratives.

He controls polls about these industries.

He is contracted using taxpayer money to spread false realities to the American people.

This is his job, this is what he does. No longer can the American people think that grassroots and incompetance is to blame for such disasters caused by these industries...it is the exact opposit, they are meticulously planned by mythology creators like this total nutball.

WTF?

This is THE MOST TRUSTED NAME IN NEWS?

Are you fricking shitting me?

How the hell does she go to work each day helping her husbband manufacture lies to trick the American people and have no moral dilemma? That must totally suck.

The extent of the narcotics trafficking to the US

The extent of the arms trafficking to terrorist regimes

And most important (especially right now)...

House and Senate. Iran-Contra Committee Members and Staff. 1987. (From "Report of the Congressional Committees Investigating the Iran-Contra Affair," Joel Brinkley and Stephen Engelberg, eds., abridged edition with the minority view. New York: Times Books, 1988, pages 3-6.)

The Iran-contra hearings in 1987 looked like another cover-up to anyone who had been reading the newspapers for the past nine months. There were the obvious insults to our intelligence: premature grants of immunity, appointing 34-year CIA veteran Thomas Polgar as a key investigator, and the grandstanding for the cameras. But ultimately it was the narrow focus of the Committee that made cynics of those who watched the hearings. The Committee protected the identities of CIA personnel, ignored evidence of contra drug-running, and sidestepped the issue of domestic propaganda ops by high officials in the NSC and State Department.

One pathetic example will suffice.

The Miami Herald's Alfonso Chardy wrote a story on July 5, 1987 that linked Oliver North to...

FEMA planning from 1982-1984 to...

suspend the Constitution

in the event of a national crisis.

Jack Brooks (D-TX) tried to ask North about this in front of the cameras, but Chairman Daniel Inouye (D-HI) cut him off by saying that the question dealt with classified matters!
In other words, Congress sides with the intelligence community, not with the people. And with Fawn Hall and Ollie's slideshow on the agenda, there's no time for diversions like this.

What the Congressional Report on Iran Contra Covered Up
Parallel Government Operations
and
Ritual Child Abuse/Satanic Subversion of the U.S. Military

http://www.theforbiddenknowledge.com/hardtruth/satanic_subversion.htm
by Jeffrey Steinberg

On February 5, 1999, in U.S. District Court in Lincoln, Nebraska, an extraordinary hearing occurred in Paul A. Bonacci v. Lawrence E. King, a civil action in which the plaintiff charged that he had been ritualistically abused by the defendant, as part of a nationwide pedophile ring linked to powerful political figures in Washington and to elements of the U.S. military and intelligence establishment. Three weeks later, on February 27, Judge Warren K. Urbom ordered King, who is currently in Federal prison, to pay $1 million in damages to Bonacci, in what Bonacci's attorney John DeCamp said was a clear signal that "the evidence presented was credible."

During the February 5 hearing, Noreen Gosch stunned the court with sworn testimony linking U.S. Army Lt. Col. Michael Aquino (ret.) to the nationwide pedophile ring. Her son, Johnny, then 12 years old, was kidnapped off the streets of West Des Moines, Iowa on September 5, 1982, while he was doing his early-morning newspaper deliveries. Since his kidnapping, she has devoted all of her time and resources to finding her son, and to exposing the dangers that millions of children in American face from this hideous, literally Satanic underground of ritualistic deviants.

"We have investigated, we have talked to so far 35 victims of this said organization that took my son and is responsible for what happened to Paul, and they can verify everything that has happened," she told the court.

"What this story involves is an elaborate function, I will say, that was an offshoot of a government program. The MK-Ultra program was developed in the 1950s by the CIA. It was used to help spy on other countries during the Cold War because they felt that the other countries were spying on us.

"It was very successful. They could do it very well."

Then, the Aquino bombshell: "Well, then there was a man by the name of Michael Aquino. He was in the military. He had top Pentagon clearances. He was a pedophile. He was a Satanist. He's founded the Temple of Set. And he was a close friend of Anton LaVey. The two of them were very active in ritualistic sexual abuse. And they deferred funding from this government program to use [in] this experimentation on children.

"Where they deliberately split off the personalities of these children into multiples, so that when they're questioned or put under oath or questioned under lie detector, that unless the operator knows how to question a multiple-personality disorder, they turn up with no evidence."

She continued: "They used these kids to sexually compromise politicians or anyone else they wish to have control of. This sounds so far out and so bizarre I had trouble accepting it in the beginning myself until I was presented with the data. We have the proof. In black and white."

Under questioning from DeCamp, Gosch reported: "I know that Michael Aquino has been in Iowa. I know that Michael Aquino has been to Offutt Air Force Base [a Strategic Air Command base, near Omaha, which was linked to King's activities]. I know that he has had contact with many of these children."

Paul Bonacci, who was simultaneously a victim and a member of the nationwide pedophile crime syndicate, has subsequently identified Aquino as the man who ordered the kidnapping of Johnny Gosch. In his February 5 testimony, Bonacci referred to the mastermind of the Gosch abduction as "the Colonel."

A second witness who testified at the February 5 hearing, Rusty Nelson, was King's personal photographer. He later described to EIR another incident which linked King to Aquino, while the Army special forces officer was still on active reserve duty. Some time in the late 1980s, Nelson was with King at a posh hotel in downtown Minneapolis, when he personally saw King turn over a suitcase full of cash and bearer-bonds to "the Colonel," who he later positively identified as Aquino. According to Nelson, King told him that the suitcase of cash and bonds was earmarked for the Nicaraguan Contras, and that "the Colonel" was part of the covert Contra support apparatus, otherwise associated with Lt. Col. Oliver North, Vice President George Bush, and the "secret parallel government" that they ran from the White House.

Just who is Lt. Col. Michael Aquino (ret.), and what does the evidence revealed in a Nebraska court hearing say about the current state of affairs inside the U.S. military? Is the Aquino case some kind of weird aberration that slipped off the Pentagon radar screen?

Not in the least.

Aquino, Satan and the U.S. military

Throughout much of the 1980s, Aquino was at the center of a controversy involving the Pentagon's acquiescence to outright Satanic practices inside the military services. Aquino was also a prime suspect in a series of pedophile scandals involving the sexual abuse of hundreds of children, including the children of military personnel serving at the Presidio U.S. Army station in the San Francisco Bay Area. Furthermore, even as Aquino was being investigated by Army Criminal Investigation Division officers for involvement in the pedophile cases, he was retaining highest-level security clearances, and was involved in pioneering work in military psychological operations ("psy-ops").

On August 14, 1987, San Francisco police raided Aquino's Russian Hill home, which he shared with his wife Lilith. The raid was in response to allegations that the house had been the scene of a brutal rape of a four-year-old girl. The principal suspect in the rape, a Baptist minister named Gary Hambright, was indicted in September 1987 on charges that he committed "lewd and lascivious acts" with six boys and four girls, ranging in age from three to seven years, during September-October 1986. At the time of the alleged sex crimes, Hambright was employed at a child care center on the U.S. Army base at Presidio. At the time of Hambright's indictment, the San Francisco police charged that he was involved in at least 58 separate incidents of child sexual abuse.

According to an article in the October 30, 1987 San Francisco Examiner, one of the victims had identified Aquino and his wife as participants in the child rape. According to the victim, the Aquinos had filmed scenes of the child being fondled by Hambright in a bathtub. The child's description of the house, which was also the headquarters of Aquino's Satanic Temple of Set, was so detailed, that police were able to obtain a search warrant. During the raid, they confiscated 38 videotapes, photo negatives, and other evidence that the home had been the hub of a pedophile ring, operating in and around U.S. military bases.

Aquino and his wife were never indicted in the incident. Aquino claimed that he had been in Washington at the time, enrolled in a year-long reserve officers course at the National Defense University, although he did admit that he made frequent visits back to the Bay Area and to his church/home. The public flap over the Hambright indictment did prompt the U.S. Army to transfer Aquino from the Presidio, where he was the deputy director of reserve training, to the U.S. Army Reserve Personnel Center in St. Louis.

On April 19, 1988, the ten-count indictment against Hambright was dropped by U.S. Attorney Joseph Russoniello, on the grounds that, while there was clear evidence of child abuse (six of the children contracted the venereal disease, chlamydia), there was insufficient evidence to link Hambright (or the Aquinos) to the crimes. Parents of several of the victims charged that Russoniello's actions proved that "the Federal system has broken down in not being able to protect the rights of citizens age three to eight."

Russoniello would later be implicated in efforts to cover up the links between the Nicaraguan Contras and South American cocaine-trafficking organizations, raising deeper questions about whether the decision not to prosecute Hambright and Aquino had "national security implications."

Indeed, on April 22, 1989, the U.S. Army sent letters to the parents of at least 56 of the children believed to have been molested by Hambright, urging them to have their children tested for the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), because Hambright, a former daycare center worker, was reported to be a carrier.

On May 13, 1989, the San Jose Mercury reported that Aquino and his wife had been recently questioned by Army investigators about charges of child molestation by the couple in two northern California counties, Sonoma and Mendocino. A 9-year-old girl in Santa Rosa, California, and an 11-year-old boy in Fort Bragg, also in California, separately identified Aquino as the rapist in a series of 1985 incidents, after they had seen him on television.

Satanic subversion of the U.S. Military by Jeffrey Steinberg

Softies on Satan

When the San Francisco Chronicle contacted Army officials at the Presidio to find out if Aquino's security clearances had been lifted as the result of the pedophile investigations, the reporters were referred to the Pentagon, where Army spokesman Maj. Greg Rixon told them, "The question is whether he is trustworthy or can do the job. There is nothing that would indicate in this case that there is any problem we should be concerned about."

Indeed, the Pentagon had already given its de facto blessings to Aquino's long-standing public association with the Church of Satan and his own successor "church," the Temple of Set. This, despite the fact that Aquino's Satanic activities involved overt support for neo-Nazi movements in the United States and Europe. On October 10, 1983, while traveling in West Germany on "official NATO business," Aquino had staged a Satanic "working" at the Wewelsburg Castle in Bavaria. Aquino wrote a lengthy account of the ritual, in which he invoked Nazi SS chief Heinrich Himmler: "As the Wewelsburg was conceived by Heinrich Himmler to be the 'Mittelpunkt der Welt' ('Middle of the World'), and as the focus of the Hall of the Dead was to be the Gate of that Center, to summon the Powers of Darkness at their most powerful locus."

As early as April 1978, the U.S. Army had circulated A Handbook for Chaplains "to facilitate the provision of religious activities." Both the Church of Satan and the Temple of Set were listed among the "other" religions to be tolerated inside the U.S. military. A section of the handbook dealing with Satanism stated, "Often confused with witchcraft, Satanism is the worship of Satan (also known as Baphomet or Lucifer). Classical Satanism, often involving 'black masses,' human sacrifices, and other sacrilegious or illegal acts, is now rare. Modern Satanism is based on both the knowledge of ritual magick and the 'anti-establishment' mood of the 1960s. It is related to classical Satanism more in image than substance, and generally focuses on 'rational self-interest with ritualistic trappings.'

No so fast! In 1982, the Temple of Set fissured over the issue of Aquino's emphasis on Nazism. One leader, Ronald K. Barrett, shortly after his expulsion, wrote that Aquino had "taken the Temple of Set in an explicitly Satanic direction, with strong overtones of German National Socialist Nazi occultism ... One fatality has occurred within the Temple membership during the period covered May 1982-July 1983."

The handbook quoted "Nine Satanic Statements" from the Church of Satan, without comment. "Statement Seven," as quoted in the handbook, read, "Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all fours, who, because of his 'divine and intellectual development' has become the most vicious animal of all."

>From 'psy-ops' to 'mindwars'

Aquino's steady rise up the hierarchy of the Satanic world closely paralleled his career advances inside the U.S. military. According to an official biography circulated by the Temple of Set, "Dr. Aquino is High Priest and chief executive officer of the Temple of Set, the nation's principal Satanic church, in which he holds the degree of Ipissimus VI. He joined the original Church of Satan in 1969, becoming one of its chief officials by 1975 when the Temple of Set was founded. In his secular profession he is a Lieutenant Colonel, Military Intelligence, U.S. Army, and is qualified as a Special-Forces officer, Civil Affairs officer, and Defense Attach. He is a graduate of the Command and General Staff College, the National Defense University and the Defense Intelligence College, and the State Departments' Foreign Service Institute."

Indeed, a more detailed curriculum vitae that Aquino provided to EIR, dated March 1989, claimed that he had gotten his doctorate at the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1980, with his dissertation on "The Neutron Bomb." He listed 16 separate military schools that he attended during 1968-87, including advanced courses in "Psychological Operations" at the JFK Special Warfare Center at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and "Strategic Intelligence" at the Defense Intelligence College, at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington, D.C.

Aquino was deeply involved in what has been called the "revolution in military affairs" ("RMA"), the introduction of the most kooky "Third Wave," "New Age" ideas into military long-range planning, which introduced such notions as "information warfare" and "cyber-warfare" into the Pentagon's lexicon.

In the early 1980s, at the same time that Heidi and Alvin Toffler were spinning their Tavistock "Third Wave" utopian claptrap to some top Air Force brass, Aquino and another U.S. Army colonel, Paul Vallely, were co-authoring an article for Military Review. Although the article was never published in the journal, the piece was widely circulated among military planners, and was distributed by Aquino's Temple of Set. The article, titled "From PSYOP to Mindwar: The Psychology of Victory," endorsed some of the ideas published in a 1980 Military Review article by Lt. Col. John Alexander, an affiliate of the Stanford Research Institute, a hotbed of Tavistock Institute and Frankfurt School "New Age" social engineering.

Aquino and Vallely called for an explicitly Nietzschean form of warfare, which they dubbed "mindwar." "Like the sword Excalibur," they wrote, "we have but to reach out and seize this tool; and it can transform the world for us if we have but the courage and the integrity to guide civilization with it. If we do not accept Excalibur, then we relinquish our ability to inspire foreign cultures with our morality. If they then devise moralities unsatisfactory to us, we have no choice but to fight them on a more brutish level."

And what is "mindwar?" "The term is harsh and fear-inspiring," Aquino wrote. "And it should be: It is a term of attack and victory-not one of rationalization and coaxing and conciliation. The enemy may be offended by it; that is quite all right as long as he is defeated by it. A definition is offered: Mindwar is the deliberate, aggressive convincing of all participants in a war that we will win that war."

For Aquino, "mindwar" is a permanent state of strategic psychological warfare against the populations of friend and foe nations alike. "In its strategic context, mindwar must reach out to friends, enemies and neutrals alike across the globe ... through the media possessed by the United States which have the capabilities to reach virtually all people on the face of the Earth. These media are, of course, the electronic media-television and radio. State of the art developments in satellite communication, video recording techniques, and laser and optical transmission of broadcasts make possible a penetration of the minds of the world such as would have been inconceivable just a few years ago." Above all else, Aquino argues, mindwar must target the population of the United States, "by denying enemy propaganda access to our people, and by explaining and emphasizing to our people the rationale for our national interest. ... Rather it states a whole truth that, if it does not now exist, will be forced into existence by the will of the United States."

Iran-Contra, FEMA camps & Rex 84
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rex_84

Rex 84, short for Readiness Exercise 1984, was a secretive "scenario and drill" developed by the United States federal government to suspend the United States Constitution, declare martial law, place military commanders in charge of state and local governments, and detain large numbers of American citizens who are deemed to be "national security threats", in the event that the President declares a "State of Domestic National Emergency". The plan states that events that might cause such a declaration would be widespread U.S. opposition to a U.S. military invasion abroad, such as if the United States were to directly invade Central America.[1][2][3][4][5][6] To combat what the government perceived as "subversive activities", the plan also authorized the military to direct ordered movements of civilian populations at state and regional levels.[7]

Rex 84 was written by Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North, who was both National Security Council White House Aide, and NSC liaison to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and John Brinkerhoff, the deputy director of "national preparedness" programs for FEMA. They patterned the plan on a 1970 report written by FEMA chief Louis Giuffrida, at the Army War College, which proposed the detention of up to 21 million "American Negroes", if there were a black militant uprising in the United States.[1][8] Existence of a master military contingency plan (of which REX-84 was a part), "Garden Plot" and a similar earlier exercise, "Lantern Spike" were originally revealed by journalist Ron Ridenhour, who summarized his findings in an article in CounterSpy.[9]

Transcripts from the Iran-Contra Hearings in 1987 record the following dialogue between Congressman Jack Brooks, Oliver North's attorney Brendan Sullivan and Senator Daniel Inouye, the Democratic Chair of the joint Senate-House Committee:[10]

[Congressman Jack] Brooks: Colonel North, in your work at the N.S.C. were you not assigned, at one time, to work on plans for the continuity of government in the event of a major disaster?

Brendan Sullivan [North's counsel, agitatedly]: Mr. Chairman?

[Senator Daniel] Inouye: I believe that question touches upon a highly sensitive and classified area so may I request that you not touch upon that?

Brooks: I was particularly concerned, Mr. Chairman, because I read in Miami papers, and several others, that there had been a plan developed, by that same agency, a contingency plan in the event of emergency, that would suspend the American constitution. And I was deeply concerned about it and wondered if that was an area in which he had worked. I believe that it was and I wanted to get his confirmation.

Inouye: May I most respectfully request that that matter not be touched upon at this stage. If we wish to get into this, I'm certain arrangements can be made for an executive session.

Exercises similar to Rex 84 happen regularly.[11] For example, from 1967 to 1971 the FBI kept a list of over 100,000 persons to be rounded up as subversive, dubbed the "ADEX" list.[12]

The basic facts about Rex 84 and other contingency planning readiness exercises—and the potential threat they pose to civil liberties if fully implemented in a real operation—are taken seriously by scholars and civil libertarians.[13][broken citation]

Conspiracy of Silence: The Franklin Cover Up
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3IsCPOADc4

Uploaded by NotForSale2NWO on Jul 25, 2011

Conspiracy of Silence is a powerful, disturbing documentary revealing a U.S. child sex abuse and pedophilia ring that leads to the highest levels of government. Featuring intrepid investigator John DeCamp, a highly decorated Vietnam war veteran and 16-year Nebraska state senator, Conspiracy of Silence reveals how rogue elements at all levels of government have been involved in systematic child sex abuse and pedophilia to feed the base desires of key politicians.

Based on DeCamp's riveting book, The Franklin Cover-up, Conspiracy of Silence begins with the shut-down of Nebraska's Franklin Community Federal Credit Union after a raid by federal agencies in 1988 revealed that $40 million was missing. When the Nebraska legislature launched a probe into the affair, what initially looked like a financial swindle soon exploded into a startling tale of drugs, money laundering, and a nationwide child sex abuse ring. Nineteen months later, the legislative committee's chief investigator died suddenly and violently. A dozen others linked to the Franklin case investigation died strange and mysterious deaths.

So why have you never heard of the Franklin cover-up? Originally scheduled to air in May of 1994 on the Discovery Channel, Conspiracy of Silence was yanked at the last minute due to formidable pressure applied by top politicians. Some very powerful people did not want you to watch this documentary.

You may find yourself becoming angry or upset while watching Conspiracy of Silence. Many people do. However, consider that each of us has at times in our life acted out of selfish motives when it comes to sexuality and ended up hurting others in one way or another. Let us take this information not only as a call to stop this kind of abuse at the nationwide and global level, but also as a call to examine our own sexual relationships and make a commitment to deep honesty and integrity in our own lives around this most sensitive issue. Thanks for caring, and may we all work together to build a brighter future for our world.

Government censors document revealing plans to wage war on Americans

http://www.infowars.com/government-censors-document-revealing-plans-to-wage-war-on-americans/

Within an hour of posting FEMA continuity of government plans, PDF pre-bid noticed deep sixed.

Aaron Dykes
Infowars.com
December 21, 2011

Within an hour of posting a critical FEMA document sourced publicly on a government website that discloses plans to hire contract employees under a continuity of government plan, that document was removed and replaced by the following cryptic warning against posting ‘classified’ documents:

The government-linked document we posted was marked ‘Source Selection Sensitive’ but not considered classified. Further, it was listed publicly on a government website that was soliciting bids for government contracts. However, despite its public classification, it contains information that clearly is NOT intended to gain wide publicity.

As we reported earlier, the highly contentious federal government plans for Continuity of Government (COG) are largely classified, yet have come to light in shards. Congressman Peter de Fazio made waves after going on the House floor to give a speech raising hell about how the plans for COG, including martial law, were not only classified, but kept secret from Congress, the only organ of public officialdom still tied directly to the people. Similarly, this clip shows the 1980s investigations into the Iran-Contra Affair where questions about the Rex 84 plan for martial law were met with sharp calls for silence for national security reasons:

YouTube Video: Police State 4— Clip: Martial Law, FEMA Camps, and Forced National Service

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yDOib-7FMI

However, there are plenty of completely public Homeland Security and FEMA documents detailing parts of the secretive COG plans for a national emergency. Among these is the document we covered earlier, as this document reveals not only detailed aspects of the COG personnel relocation plans and martial law takeover of communications, but a plan to militarily-target Americans and designate them as enemy combatants– dramatically, through a blue/red high-tech surveillance matrix aimed at suppressing dissidents and occupying the homeland.

Click below to read the restored pages of that suppressed document now:

Page 1, Page 2, Page 3, Page 4, Page 5, Page 6, Page 7, Page 8, Page 9, Page 10, Page 11

(CLICKABLE LINK BUTTONS ABOVE ^^^^)

The important clip above also documents numerous executive orders specifying a takeover of civil America. FEMA, and its overlord mother the Department of Homeland Security, have been given enormous powers, and are now beginning to use them. That’s why this new document is compelling enough for the government to cover up. FEMA camps are being staffed for stand-by operation– that’s what the recent KBR documents covered by Infowars.com show.

RELATED: Detention Camp Order Follows Preparations For Civil Unrest

Now, we find FEMA soliciting personnel to run a military-COG program that designates Americans as an enemy population. It is a perfect storm, timed with the Bill of Rights-destroying 2012 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that puts on paper the indefinite detention of Americans without trial.

Yet the smoking gun document is a public bid for contracting companies. It’s designation at FBO.gov is as a “Pre-Solicitation Notice for Program and Mission Support Services.”

Why don’t they want you to know? What HAS been exposed publicly points directly to overt takeovers of the constitutional government via martial law, the use of troops on the street (in violation of Posse Comitatus) and a definitive takeover of all communications, including the establishment of secure emergency communications lines for the the Continuity of Government controllers. More to the point, it validates the worst of fears– that rhetoric issued from political leaders in America demonizing its people as potential terrorists relates to real plans, albeit obscured from popular public knowledge, to target and indefinitely detain dissidents and other ordinary citizens any during declared emergencies, or for any pretext of national security.

That’s right. The stuff out of cautionary tales like Seven Days in May, reviewed here by Alex Jones, and translated onto screen in 1964, has come true. Whether for a worthwhile pretext or not, plans have been put into place to transfer power outside of elected government. In its place is a constitution-circumventing framework to share power between the special interests who have bought/run the executive branch and legislative branch, including the National Security shadow powers given precedent there, including military and CIA capabilities.

Lance Morgan's wife, Gloria Borger, also supported the BAILOUTS in 2008, and psyopped the American people into making them believe that most Americans supported them.
http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2008/10/bailout07.html
Senate Expected to Pass Bailout Bill
Congress torn between angry voters and financiers' pleas
10/02/2008 | Truman Lewis | ConsumerAffairs.com

Brian and Gloria go to bat

Prior to Wednesday night's vote, supporters mounted an all-out publicity program to paint the bailout as being a lifeline to Main Street, claiming it is everyday voters who have the most to lose if their 401(k)'s and pension plans are driven into the doldrums by a recession.

On its evening news, NBC devoted a lengthy segment to the proposal. News reader Brian Williams noted that even General Electric, which owns NBC, was having to count its billions carefully and had sold a $3 billion stake to Omaha's Warren Buett.

"After hearing the news today that Warren Buffet is now a $3 billion investor in our parent company, GE -- following his $5 billion to Goldman Sachs -- does this not make him our 'central banker'?" Williams asked on the blog that carries his byline.

On CNN, commentator Gloria Borger opined that everyday taxpayers were "beginning to understand" the need for the bailout.

Of course, Gloria's understanding exceeds that of Main Street mortals. Her husband, Lance Morgan, is a publicist for Powell Tate, one of the many Washington "strategic communications" firms that grease the skids for corporate interests, a fact Borger and CNN seldom bother to disclose but one that is well-known to Powell Tate's clients.

"We draw on our strong relationships with journalists, publications, broadcast outlets, and online venues covering all areas of the financial services industry ... to help clients ... achieve their goals," Powell Tate's Website boasts.

But Brian and Gloria no longer hold quite the exclusive grip on public opinion that the monopolist media have long enjoyed. Thanks to the Internet, home-grown commentators like Ivan Fail are increasingly influential in shaping the public debate.

A retired corrections officer and truck driver, Fail writes blogs and op-ed pieces from his home in Sparta, Mo. In an op-ed published Monday by ConsumerAffairs.com, Fail called the original bailout package "a blistering indictment of greed driven 'behind closed doors' PAC money politics."

Gloria Borger's husband probably hasn't taken Fail to a lavish lunch yet, but perhaps he should. It might take more than few rib eyes, though.

"We have long been letting the the mortgage, finance and credit industry use their "see all, hear all and tell all," snoop and snitch credit bureaus invade our privacy and tell the world of credit and finance - and the rest of the world every time we're 5 minutes late on a payment, default on a loan. ... It's time that we 'turned the tables,' Fail wrote.

Chamber Readies New Ads

By Peter H. Stone

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has tapped Purple Strategies and Powell Tate to develop ads for its "campaign for free enterprise." The commercials are slated to begin in mid October with a splash on television, radio and in print outlets.  The push is fueled in part by mounting concerns of too much government regulation and interference in the private sector by the new administration and Congress as they grapple  with the nation's economic woes.

The consulting team for the multi-year advertising and grassroots campaign to promote the merits of the free enterprise system includes Alex Castellanos and Steve McMahon of Purple Strategies and Lance Morgan and Howard Opinsky of Powell Tate.  "It's very much a team effort," says Tom Collamore, a senior vice president at the chamber. "They have staff from both organizations working together on various components." Sources say that the chamber is trying to raise around $100 million to fund the operation.

The promotion will include a new website and heavy use of new media such as Twitter and Facebook, adds Collamore. Earlier this summer, the chamber hired Brian Gunderson, a former chief of staff to ex-Secretary of State Condi Rice, to serve as executive director of the effort.

Lance Morgan's company is heavily involved in manufacturing sophisticated mythology operations like "Man made Climate Change"/"Man made Global Warming", these are the guys creating the mythology that Ron Paul is a racist:

Climate Change, Energy & Environment

Issues surrounding energy resources and environmental conservation have become central elements of public debate and policy discourse both in the United States and abroad. We understand the environmental and climate change imperative as well as the diverse and continually expanding nature of the energy sector. Our clients have relied on us to build their reputations, enhance their development efforts and build their strategic message platforms. Powell Tate has helped clients celebrate major environmental milestones and achievements; supported legislative campaigns to reduce greenhouse gas emissions; raised awareness for policies to curb the impact of short-lived pollutants in Arctic regions; supported legislative campaigns on pollution standards, energy conservation, charitable giving and support for renewable fuels.

Communicating Climate Change: 101
Mỹ Lệ Goel

Businesses, NGOs and the public sector face enormous challenges when trying to effectively communicate a complex issue such as climate change to a skeptical audience.

After all, only a small percentage of the public sees global warming as a very serious problem, according to the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press.

A lot of science communications experts have spent a good deal of time and resources studying effective communication of complicated topics that lead to changes in behavior. One of the latest resources is a study called “The Psychology of Climate Change Communication” by Columbia University’s Center for Research on Environmental Decisions. The study takes readers on a 48-page journey that elucidates the psychology and mental models of what informs and influences behavior and beliefs. The last part of the study provides the most interesting insights from a communications perspective. It outlines eight steps for effectively communicating climate change and climate science – but these steps are applicable to many different scenarios.

Know your audience. Like any communications effort, knowing who your target audience is and understanding what makes them believe what they believe or what shapes their opinion is essential for understanding what messages and stories resonate.

Provide relevant context. When we know why and how an issue is relevant to us, we’re more apt to pay attention and act.

Make the data relevant. What does that mean? It means don’t say “Temperatures reaching upwards of 40.5 Celsius indicate that today’s global warming may have been accelerated due to anthropogenic causes” when you can say “Today’s warm temperatures may have been accelerated by human activity.”

Avoid emotional numbing. We’ve all had moments in our lives when our worries get the better of us leaving us too paralyzed to take any action. Similarly, when we’re inundated with messages that cause worry or fear, our audiences may lose sight of the issue and call to action.

Acknowledge scientific and climate uncertainties. Audiences will accept uncertainty if it’s backed up with resources and information that explain, simply, why there’s uncertainty. You don’t want to overstate or overpromise and it’s better to be honest about what you do and don’t know.

Identify groups and affiliations. When you can create a sense of group responsibility, it may help influence behavior. For example, targeting niche groups within a larger group may be more effective than targeting the broader audience who may not be able to harness a singular sense of responsibility.

Leverage the power of group participation. Social networks, need I say more?

Lower the bar. Don’t make your call to action so difficult that no one will want to do it. You’ll get a lot more engagement if you keep it simple and accessible.

Beyond communicating about climate change, let us know how/if you’ve ever applied these principles to your communications efforts. We’d love to hear about your results.
