Ron Paul is often referred to as the "Godfather of the Tea Party," but over the years the movement has slowly morphed into an opponent of the Texas Congressman.

Sadly, the TEA party lost its focus on April 15th 2009 when Glenn Beck attempted to usurp the movement during a visit to the Alamo Rally. More specifically when Glenn posted this...

Since then Taxed Enough Already lost ground to a whole host of bogus issues...brought on by opportunists seeking to do nothing but feed upon the fears and ignorance of the masses. And look at what we have now...the Establishment cooped the TEA Party for its own ends.
