Hi,
I've had Endgame and Terrorstorm removed from a video sharing site. Endgame was on the site for one day before deletion. Terrorstorm, faired slightly better and lasted maybe 3 days!

I was sent a warning that i had not followed the terms of use.

I started a thread on the site about this. Now, the thread has generated a fair bit of attention and there are now, i should think, quite a few people who have heard the names Alex Jones, Endgame, Terrorstorm, Infowars etc. So, as far as reaching new people, this has almost certainly been successful, though was not quite the approach i had in mind. Still...

Many posters on the thread, maintain that the videos were removed because they violated copyright. I maintain this is not the case as the producer of the film encourages people to spread the videos . Also, the start of terrorstorm 2nd edition Alex himself introduces the film and says as much. This doesn't satisfy some of the posters and they maintain the take down notice could have come from the distributors of the film and so the argument goes on...

I've been listening to Alex for around a year and a half now and i think that i have a fairly good idea where Alex and his team are coming from. I'm almost 100% sure that this video was entirely lawfully uploaded and copyright issues don't come into this.

Am i right ? Can these videos be uploaded anywhere lawfully?

I'd mention here, that i downloaded both these films from prisonplanet where i have a yearly membership. So, these aren't rips from rips but very high definition copies, that took me pretty much a full day to recode to divX and upload.

If i could PROVE to the posters that i am allowed to upload these films, they would, i feel be inclined to come around to the idea that these films were taken down deliberately because the site didn't want them up.

There are seemingly, many site members who have had nwo films taken down and apparently terrorstorm has come and gone a number of times already ! (Meanwhile cartoons and porn are rife!)

I can't re-upload. They have somehow blocked me. They've also warned me not to contravene the terms of use again or i'll (eventually) be banned from the site.

Whilst i don't hold out high hopes to turn the mods of the site around. The vast majority or the users would probably be receptive to a reasoned argument.

There is already a planned boycott (which i shall participate in) from Feb 1st to March 1st, where no new material will be uploaded. I'm not the only one unhappy with the running of the site!

Is there a way of PROVING beyond doubt that these films may be circulated freely?

The only thing i can think of, is to get a letter from Alex, saying i have permission to upload, share, burn copies etc but i realise Alex is incredibly busy...

I've pretty much run up against a brick wall. Does anyone have any ideas ?

BTW. sorry about the long first post.

Alex always says we can make copies and distribute them AS LONG AS WE DON'T SELL THEM!  He  says he wants the info out there.  I bought copies of both movies.  I think he uses that type of attitude about his films because he knows he will get sales just by having 1000's of copies out there.

That might work for you.  Some sites might complain about bandwidth traffic, or filesize, so you might want to check out the terms again and just make sure you aren't violating anything at all in that sense.

I have emailed Aaron about my own little Alex Jones project called the Infowars Media Server, where I have a small computer and a wireless router and I let people connect up to it and download any of Alex's films free of charge, as much and as often as they want, original DVD .iso images, .wmv, iPod .mp4s, etc.  I'm not concerned.  Aaron said to run with it, so I have.  There are P2P networks out there that have all of Alex's films already on them.  I wanted to do something different, that might get me motivated on a local level to spread these films to people here in my area.

I'm sure you'll eventually find a site that doesn't censor films.  Just keep looking.

Thanks for the reply. Very useful, i'm going to see were this leads...

I do have a question about that form.

Where it says, "authorizes [blank] to publicly screen etc. etc. What goes in that blank? I'm sorry i'm totally ignorant with this sort of stuff. I'm on a very steep learning curve at present.

if you host it for download again maybe a little blurb about "authorized for public distribution by alex jones" and give the website or contact info for more information.  something like that may head off any future problems
