Author Topic: Is Linux a Soros plot to destroy Microsoft and make Apple the new PC monopoly?  (Read 1141 times)

Let me make it clear that I'm not defending Microsoft. In a perfect world, there would be no Microsoft, all software would be free, and there would be no software patents to kill off innovation.

Ever since Unity became the default desktop environment for Ubuntu, hardcore users have left Ubuntu in droves. (That is, if you believe DistroWatch, which has pretty much became anti-Ubuntu in the last several years.) It makes me wonder if Ubuntu was all about taking market share away from Microsoft, and once Microsoft's market share becomes low enough, destroy Ubuntu so people will become so disenfranchised with it that they'll either migrate to another Linux distro or abandon Linux altogether and switch to Mac OS X. Keep in mind that Mark Shuttleworth's Shuttleworth Foundation and George Soros' Open Society Institute are pretty much affiliated with one another.

Is the purpose of Linux really just to destroy one monopoly (Microsoft) only to give rise to another monopoly (Apple)? Keep in mind that Soros owns stock in Apple. Who stands to gain from the destruction of Microsoft and Linux and the rise of Apple as the new monopoly? Soros.

Ubuntu is just a Distro,

Please try to understand the difference between a fashionable Distro and Linux
