Blasting caps and evidence of controlled demolition

I'm sorry if this question has been addressed before. It must have, but I haven't found it in the present forum.

For me, the issue isn't critically important, as I need only look at the collapse of WTC-7 to know that it's a controlled demolition. However, I have had someone tell me that he saw a documentary (which he can't refer me to) where some "expert" claims that if it had been a controlled demolition there'd be millions [sic] of caps all over the place and that wiring the building would have been seen by loads of witnesses. This person found the argument highly convincing, to the point where he easily believes that a fire on one or two floors could weaken all supporting columns equally so that the building could collapse in a nice orderly fashion into (nearly) its own footprint.

Is there an account to explain how the building would have been wired and what would happen with the caps (or whether the caps are even necessary)?

There is a theory that nano thermite was use and there would be no need for blasting caps and very little wire.

Thermite and Thermate as well as paint able nano-thermite need no blasting caps. I'm sure with with some of the foundation blasts the lower levels and on the large columns there were explosive charges, but they would have been destroyed by the molten thermite fed fires that burned for almost 2 months after the buildings fell.

They closed down access to the Manhattan for about two weeks  and the immediate area for a year... you had to be badged or government to enter... the few caps that would have to be used given the method they used would have been swept when they sent in the government teams to clean up Manhattan... when they were finished, you could eat off the sidewalks, streets and alleys, it was squeaky clean.
