May force other mainstream outlets to pick up icon's comments

The dam has broken on mainstream media coverage of Willie Nelson's comments yesterday about the implosion of the WTC twin towers with ABC News picking up the story on their front page this afternoon.

AOL News have also now reported on the story.



The link leads to an embedded video clip which includes Nelson's comments about how he doubts the official 9/11 story during yesterday's Alex Jones Show. Conforming to the usual standards of establishment media, ABC don't even provide the source of where Nelson made his comments.

The story briefly appeared on the Drudge Report yesterday before it was pulled but the blogosphere is raging with discussion about Nelson's take on the terror attacks.

ABC News' decision to give the issue attention will probably force other mainstream outlets to follow suit.

In the interview with Willie Nelson by Alex Jones on February 4, 2008, Alex said that Lt. Col. Steve Butler went public about the U.S. government training the supposed 9/11 "hijackers." Alex might have in mind direct conversations he's had with Butler, but to my knowledge Butler hasn't gone public with that.

Although the New York Times and Gannett News Service reported that named 9/11 "hijacker" Saeed Alghamdi (United Airlines 93) attended the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center at the Presidio of Monterey in Monterey, California, at which Butler was serving as vice chancellor for student affairs. (See further below for that and much more on U.S. military training of purported 9/11 "hijackers.")

Below is a public letter by Butler stating that the 9/11 attacks were knowingly allowed to happen by the U.S. government:

- Pensacola Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Florida: Newsweek reported that a high-ranking U.S. Navy source said that Saeed Alghamdi, Ahmad Alnami (both United Airlines 93) and Ahmed Alghamdi (United Airlines 175) listed their legal residences at 10 Radford Boulevard, a base roadway where residences for foreign-military flight trainees are located. As well, military records listed them there. Saeed Alghamdi listed the address on two different car registrations. Ahmad Alnami and Ahmed Alghamdi listed the address on their driver licenses. The Washington Post reported that Saeed Alghamdi and Ahmed Alghamdi attended. The Washington Post further reported that Ahmed Alnami and Hamza Alghamdi (United Airlines 175) listed their legal residence at the same address.

- Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas: Newsweek reported that a high-ranking Pentagon official said one of the named hijackers attended. The Washington Post reported that Saeed Alghamdi (United Airlines 93) graduated from the Defense Language Institute English Language Center at the base. The Los Angeles Times reported that a defense official said two of the hijackers were former Saudi fighter pilots who had attended.

- Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama: Newsweek reported that a high-ranking Pentagon official said one of the named hijackers attended the Air War College. The Washington Post reported that Mohamed Atta (American Airlines 11) graduated from the International Officers School. Gannett News Service reported that Air Force spokesman Col. Ken McClellan said that Mohammed Atta attended the International Officer's School. The Los Angeles Times reported that a defense official said two of the hijackers were former Saudi fighter pilots who had attended the Air War College.

- The Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center at the Presidio of Monterey in Monterey, California: the New York Times and Gannett News Service reported that Saeed Alghamdi (United Airlines 93) attended.

- USAF School of Aerospace Medicine at Brooks Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas: The Washington Post reported that Abdulaziz Alomari (American Airlines 11) graduated from the school. Gannett News Service reported that Abdulaziz Alomari attended.

U.S. government officals later claimed that these individuals who trained on these U.S. military bases were probably different people from the hijackers with the same names (even though high-level anonymous U.S. military sources told these various news agencies with certainty that these were the same individuals as the named hijackers). It was also vaguely stated that some of the biographical details didn't match exactly for some of the named individuals, although the U.S. government has never specified the differences or offered any evidence of these claims. Notably, none of these named U.S. military trainees have ever come forward to clear up the association of their names with those of the purported hijackers, and the U.S. government refuses to release any information about these supposedly differrent individuals.

It's as if none of these supposedly different individuals with the same names even exist. That doesn't make any sense, unless they are not different individuals from the named hijackers, in which case even if they were still alive they wouldn't likely be eager to come forward, nor would the U.S. government be eager to present details as to where they can be found.

For more documentation on the purported hijackers which clearly demonstrates that they were not Muslim extremists but did cocaine, hired prostitutes, drank alcohol, partied hard, etc., see the below post by me. It also gets into the fact that the supposed hijackers obviously knew that they had protection from the highest levels of the U.S. government and repeatedly went out of their way to draw attention to themselves as crazed, potential terrorists, as if to build a "legend" backstory. Additionally covered is the fact that the many FBI agents attempting to investigate these supposed hijackers were repeatedly and consistently blocked and ordered not to investigate these supposed hijackers, despite forceful protestations from said FBI agents that terrorist attacks were going to happen.

AUSTIN —  Texas icon Willie Nelson said on a nationally syndicated radio show this week that he questions the official story of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in New York City.

"I certainly do," Nelson said Monday when asked by talk show host Alex Jones if he questions the official story.

"I saw those towers fall and I've seen an implosion in Las Vegas, there's too much similarities between the two. And I saw the building fall that didn't get hit by nothing," the singer-songwriter said. "So, how naive are we, you know, what do they think we'll go for?"

On Sept. 11, 2001, 19 men hijacked planes, crashing them into each of the World Trade Center's twin towers in New York City, the Pentagon and a Pennsylvania field.

Nelson, who turns 75 this year, said if he were president, he would "stop the damn war, it's just that simple."

"The way I heard it, the 15 people from Saudi Arabia hit us in New York and we go jump on Afghanistan," Nelson said. "I never could figure that one out in Iraq."

Nelson's publicist would not comment on the remarks.

Jones, an Austin-based talk show host on the Burnsville, Minn., Genesis Communications Network, is sometimes described as a "conspiracy theorist." He regularly rails against globalism, the United Nations and World Bank on satellite and Internet radio.

"Straight talking American icon Willie Nelson today told a national radio show that he thought the twin towers were imploded like condemned Las Vegas casino buildings, as the country music superstar forcefully voiced his doubts about the official 9/11 story.

Agreeing with host Alex Jones that he questioned the official story, Nelson elaborated, "I saw those towers fall and I’ve seen an implosion in Las Vegas - there’s too much similarities between the two, and I saw a building fall that didn’t get hit by nothing," added Nelson, referring to WTC Building 7 which collapsed in the late afternoon of September 11.

"How naive are we - what do they think we’ll go for?," asked Nelson, pointing out that his doubts began on the very day of 9/11.

"I saw one fall and it was just so symmetrical, I said wait a minute I just saw that last week at the casino in Las Vegas and you see these implosions all the time and the next one fell and I said hell there’s another one - and they’re trying to tell me that an airplane did it and I can’t go along with that," said Nelson.

The former Highwayman, fresh from his appearance at this past weekend’s superbowl, questioned why Afghanistan became an immediate target in the aftermath of 9/11 when the official story posited that mostly Saudi Arabians were responsible for the attack.

"When I get hit I like to look around and see who did it before I start swinging at everybody in the room and that’s kind of what we were doing," said Nelson, "We get hit over here and then next thing you know we’re jumping on everybody in the town - so (if) we got hit from Saudi Arabia, I think we’ve got some questions that need to be answered from those folks," said Nelson.

In light of his viewpoint, Nelson said that recent revelations concerning the impartiality of the 9/11 Commission and its close links with the White House did not surprise him.

"What does it take for us to realize we’re having the wool pulled over our eyes one more time?" he concluded.

Nelson is not the first high-profile public figure to question 9/11. In March 2006, actor Charlie Sheen voiced his doubts and was followed last year by his father Martin Sheen.

Aside from celebrities - professors, scientists and other experts the world over have questioned the inconsistencies in the official story, and the topic was most recently even a subject of serious debate in the Japanese Parliament.

In December, former Italian President Francesco Cossiga told Italy’s most respected newspaper, Corriere della Sera, that the attacks were run by the CIA and Mossad and that this was common knowledge amongst global intelligence agencies.

Former German Secretary of Defense Andreas von Bülow also went public in blaming American intelligence for instigating the attack.

Nelson’s country music contemporaries The Dixie Chicks were savaged by the establishment when they criticized the Bush administration shortly before the invasion of Iraq. It remains to be seen whether the corporate media will dare take on Nelson for his views or whether they will just try to ignore the story as happened with Martin Sheen.

Even if they choose to ignore Nelson’s comments, the power of the alternative media should organize now to get this story out.
