Robert Pattinson related to Vlad the Impaler, the inspiration for 'Dracula'

Robert Pattinson is a natural at playing a vampire in the "Twilight" film series - and with good reason. It's in his blood, according to Ancestry.com.
Geneologists say RPattz, 24, is related to Vlad the Impaler, the 15th-century Translyvanian leader (real name Vlad 3 Dracula), who served as the inspiration for Bram Stoker's "Dracula," reported The Hollywood Reporter.
According to researchers, Pattinson's relation to Dracula comes from his distant ties to the British royal family. The actor is also a distant cousin of Prince William and Prince Harry, who are said to be distant nephews of Vlad.

 On 6 March 1993, Juraj Kolaric, dean of the Catholic Faculty of Theology in Zagreb, was reported by the Tanjug news agency as stating that the "Orthodox Church in Croatia should be organized along the Macedonian principle, with its patriarch, and break away as far as territory was concerned, from Serbia”. Kolaric had several times tried to start an initiative to start such a church and that it should be started by the "Croat Orthodox believers and possible Croatian Orthodox clergy, because then all the conditions for an autocephalous church would be met." He claimed that if a church was formed it would eventually by recognized by the Patriarch of Constantinople because the Serb Orthodox Church would never be present in Croatia again. Kolaric claimed that his statements were not influenced by the Roman Catholic Church. The initiatives of Kolaric for the creation of such a church was protested by the Serbian Orthodox Church several times.
On March 10, 2011 Croatian Orthodox Church was registreted in Canada. It is just a way of recognize fact that there is Eastern Orthodox Christians who are ethnic Croatians and they need their national church. |

In 1907, the Brethren claimed to have found the remains of Petar Zrinski and Fran Krsto Frankopan, and by 1919 those were moved to the Zagreb Cathedral. During the Independent State of Croatia, the Brethren was made into a Knight's Order in 1941. The Brethren was restored in 1945 before being banned in Communist Yugoslavia in 1946. It was reestablished in 1990. |
