Controlled by "evil spirits"?  No.  Such a concept would make it easier to stomach, I suppose.  I mean, how else could we wrap our minds around why some people are this sick and twisted.  However, they're just inbred f**ked up psychopaths... no supernatural force necessary for that, just multi-generational conditioning coupled with limitless resources.  How different do you imagine you would be if your parents were murdering sociopaths and you never wanted for anything because your family actually created the money that everyone else used as currency to buy their trinkets and fund their "worthless" lives?  Everyone else would seem like cattle, I'd imagine... just toys to be played with until you get bored of them, so then you pit G.I. I respect your efforts, but I will never accept the excuse of "possession" as an excuse for the actions of evil people.  Some people are nuts, others don't eat enough broccoli... whatever the cause of their psychosis, it's not demons.  If it's nutritional or otherwise biological, perhaps it can be corrected or mitigated.  If it's just that they're wired wrong, either from a genetic flaw or through conditioning, there's little that can be done.

Think about it... why else would someone claim the apparent evil acts of another are caused by some supernatural possession?  The answer is simple... to avoid the dishonor and bad press that would be attached to that person, their family and their associates if they were indeed just freakin' crazy psychopaths.

It's not about what "ancients" believed... it's more about what people were and still are willing to accept as excuses for otherwise unacceptable behavior.

Pretty Much Everyone Is Related to Dracula

Conveniently timed with the premiere of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," some industrious genealogists discovered that (kind-of) vampire star Robert Pattinson is related to the notorious Vlad "Dracula" the Impaler.

Basically, Pattinson's family is related to the British royal family by a marriage in the 16th century. In turn, the British royal family can claim descent from Dracula's brother Vlad IV. Essentially, Dracula is Queen Elizabeth's 14th great-uncle.

(The British royals are also related to an even more torture-minded Slav, Elizabeth Bathory. So that gory scene in "Hostel II" where Heather Matarrazzo is bled like a stuck pig? You have Prince Harry's great-great-great-twice-removed-something-or-other to thank for that.)

Thing is, regarding the Pattinson-Dracula connection, we're not talking about blood relatives here. So if "related to" doesn't necessarily mean "shares DNA with," all bets are off. Half of the U.S. presidents can claim a relation to British royalty [more actually], from George Washington to George W. Bush.

Raymond T. McNally, who has written four books on the figure of Dracula in history, literature, and vampirism, in his fifth book, "Dracula was a Woman," presents insights into the fact that Stoker's Count Dracula was also strongly influenced by the legends of Elizabeth Bathory of Hungary.

For example Vlad was Romanian and Dracula was Hungarian like Bathory. Vlad the impaler was never even rumored to have drunk human blood while Elizabeth not only drank blood but was also reported to have bathed in the Blood of virgins to keep her youth.

The Bathory family was "one of the richest and most powerful Protestant families in all Hungary. Her family was to provide two of the most important ruling princes of Transylvania, Stephan Bathory, prince of Transylvania and king of Poland. Elizabeth's other interesting relatives included:

An uncle supposedly "addicted to rituals and worship in honor of Satan, her aunt Klara was a well-known bi-sexual and lesbian who enjoyed torturing servants, and Elizabeth's brother, Stephan, who was a drunkard and a lecher.

As a child Elizabeth had witnessed the torture and execution of a gypsy, who was sewn up inside a horse and left to die there.

At the age of sixteen, Ferenc Nadasdy was engaged to Elizabeth, then eleven, in 1571 thanks to the careful manipulations of his mother. Ferenc married Elizabeth on May 8, 1575.

Ferenc was a warrior and so was not often around, leaving Elizabeth at Castle Sarvar managing the family seat, "especially the task of disciplining the servants. The countess carried her 'disciplining' to a point that would be considered sadism today". Beating the girl servants with a heavy club was the least of her "punishments," according to accounts. Often she would stick "pins into the upper and lower lips of the girls...into the girls' flesh and... under their fingernails". One particularly harsh "punishment" would be to drag girls out into the snow where she or her women servants poured cold water on them until they froze to death.

Among the things Elizabeth did to amuse herself while Ferenc was away at war was to "visit her aunt Klara, an open bisexual. Wealthy and powerful, Klara always had plenty of available girls around. Elizabeth presumably enjoyed herself with her aunt Klara, since she visited her aunt's estate frequently".

Bathory Family CrestIn the Countess's service, as helpers in the macabre, was her manservant referred to only as Ficzko (which means "lad " in Hungarian), Helena Jo the wet nurse, Dorothea Szentes (also called "Dorka"), and Katarina Beneczky a washerwoman who came into the Countess's employ late in her bloody career.

Also, between the years of 1604 and 1610 a mysterious woman named Anna Darvulia, who was probably a lover of Elizabeth's, who taught her many new torturing techniques and was "one of the most active sadists in Elizabeth's entourage". After a severe stroke that left her blind, Darvulia left her work to Elizabeth, Helena Jo, and Dorka, content that she had taught them well.

With the death of Elizabeth's dear Darvulia, when Elizabeth was in her forties, she became more reckless.

Elizabeth started picking girls from some of the surrounding lower nobility. Feeling lonely, the Countess turned to the widow of a tenant farmer from the nearby town of Miava. The woman's name was Erzsi Majorova. Apparently, it was Erszi Majorova who "encouraged Elizabeth to go after girls of noble birth as well as peasants".

One accomplice testified that on some days Elizabeth had stark- naked girls laid flat on the floor of her bedroom and tortured them so much that one could scoop up the blood by the pailfull afterwards, and so Elizabeth had her servants bring up cinders in order to cover the pools of blood. A young maid-servant who did not endure the tortures well and died very quickly was written out by the countess in her diary with the laconic comment "She was too small,"...

She demanded that one of her female servants be brought before her. Dorothea Szentes, a burly, strong peasant woman, dragged one of Elizabeth's girls to her bedside and held her there. Elizabeth rose up on her bed, and, like a bulldog, the Countess opened her mouth and bit the girl first on the cheek. Then she went for the girl's shoulders where she ripped out a piece of flesh with her teeth. After that, Elizabeth proceeded to bite the girl's breasts.

The trials on January 2 and 7 of 1611 were largely for show and to make the occasion "official." At the proceedings, the testimonies of her four accomplices, Ficzko, Dorka, Katarina Beneczky, and Helena Jo (Erzsi Majorova was tried much later because she could not be found) were taken and their sentences pronounced. It is somewhat important to mention here that the testimonies of the four placed the body count between thirty and sixty, but a fifth witness heard at the January 7th trial revealed the missing piece of the puzzle: testimony from a witness identified only as "the maiden Zusanna," no last name being mentioned. After describing the tortures by Helena Jo, Dorothea, and Ficzko...and after making a plea for mercy in the case of Katarina Beneczky, Zusanna then revealed the single most shocking piece of evidence in this trial... a list or register in the Countess's chest of drawers, which put the number of girls killed at 650 and that was in her Ladyship's own handwriting.

First of all, Helena Jo and secondly Dorothea Szentes, the so- called foremost perpetrators of such great crime, were sentenced to having all their fingers on their hands, which they had used as instruments in so much torture and butcherings and which they had dipped in the blood of Christians, torn out by the public executioner with a pair of red-hot pincers; and after that their bodies should be thrown alive on the fire. Because of his youthful age and complicity in fewer crimes, Ficzko was only to be decapitated. After that his body, drained of blood, was to be reunited with his two fellow accomplices and burned... Only Katarina Beneczky escaped the death sentence. Later on January 24, 1611... Erzsi Majorova... was also found guilty and executed.

Elizabeth was never convicted of anything, and remained for the rest of her life walled up inside of her room, under "Castle Arrest".

In August of the year 1614 one of the countess's jailers wanted to get a good look at her, since she was still reputedly one of the most beautiful women in Hungary. Peeking through the small hole in her walled-up cell, he saw her lying face down on the floor. Countess Elizabeth Bathory was dead at the age of fifty-four.

How odd you brought that up.  At age of 10 I'd check the max out for books at library as I was prone to read anything.  This book fascinated me until my mother scoured the content of what I was reading.  The irony was she thought she was protecting me then from the knowledge.  The irony is lost between innocence and ignorance.

So European nobility and these rituals have a deep history with the Dutroux spider web of Belgium noble fascists keeping tradition in our times.

If you've checked Abel Danger as of late, the Pinkerton Pig Farm & Lionsgate seem to have had much in common.  A lot of blood and 'gore' doesn't require genetics, just motive, inclination and a sick sense of 'life'.

Regarding Dracula, revisit the photos and accounts of the tortures in recent years.  Oath taking ritual killings is often at the root for satanic thoughts, perversions, blackmail and extortion.  Dracula's motives were much less evil.

Bran Castle, a brooding fortress linked to the name of the vampire Dracula, has been restored to its rightful owner, a New York architect and descendant of the Habsburg dynasty which once ruled Austria-Hungary.

Dominic von Habsburg, 68-year-old grandson of former Queen Marie of Romania, received the keys to the Transylvanian castle from Romania's Culture Minister Adrian Yorulescu 58 years after communist rulers confiscated it.

Towering high on a rock, the popular tourist attraction is known popularly as Dracula's Castle through association with the figure of legend made world famous by a novel by Irishman Bram Stoker, and later in Hollywood horror films.

"It is with great emotion that I find myself again at this castle of my childhood, 58 years after having been driven out by the communists with my family," said Habsburg, who spent his early childhood here and whose father was the Habsburg scion Anton, Archduke of Austria.

"I have never been back to Romania since, till now."

A communist regime was established in 1947 when King Michael was forced to abdicate, and Habsburg's family went to the United States.

In returning the property, "Romania has performed an act of justice bringing it yet closer to Europe," Habsburg told journalists.

Romania, which shed communism in 1989, is scheduled to join the European Union next January and is anxious to prove its European credentials by fulfilling the criteria set by the EU Commission.

Habsburg does not exclude the possibility of selling back the fortress, worth an estimated 25 million euros (30 million dollars), to the Romanian state which controlled it for decades under communist rule and after.

The fortress was built in 1212 by Teutonic knights and has been linked to the historical figure of Vlad the Impaler, who inspired the myth of Count Dracula.

Since 1633 The Imperial Crypt in Vienna has been the principal place of entombment for the Habsburg dynasty, hereditary Emperors of the Holy Roman Empire, and their descendants.

The Imperial Crypt (in German: Kaisergruft but usually called the Kapuzinergruft, "Capuchins' Crypt") lies below the Capuchins' church (the Church of St. Mary of the Angels) and monastery founded in 1617 and dedicated in 1632. It is on the Neue Markt square, near the imperial Hofburg Palace.

In 2006, the Prince of Wales was invited to become the head of the state of a country he liked very much: Romania, according to a British historian. In the past 6 months, diplomatic sources have declared for ZIUA de CLUJ, a regional daily, that the ‘foreign prince' scenario is one - among others - which has stirred debates in European media. At the same time, the Romanian Royal House, related to the one in the UK, is being attacked on all fronts by president Băsescu while Prince Charles is doing the greatest favor to Romanian on Travel Chanel: he revealed that Romanian king (voivode) Vlad the Impaler was his ancestor, and spoke of Transylvania, where he owns some property, as a unique treasure of Europe. Associated Press went beyond when connecting the Prince of Wales to the former Romanian voivode: Charles becomes "a stake in Romania's future".

The idea of a foreign prince in Romania first appeared in 2006 from a renowned historian. According to ZIUA de CLUJ's diplomatic sources, the possibility is being discussed in high European levels. Tom Gallagher, the famed British historian and columnist, one of the heavyweight specialists in the history of Romania, noted in an editorial in Romania Liberă, a national daily, on June 30, 2006, that Prince Charles was invited to become "the head of a state" he dearly loved, Romania. The context was broader in an editorial entitled "The European Scapegoat", as quoted: "And if, hypothetically speaking, His Royal Highness (Prince Charles - n. red.) were determined to renounce waiting for his royal mother to pass away, studied Romanian and were to accept the invitation to become the head of a state he loved dearly - given his frequent visits and endeavors to protect a heritage often under threat - might make him perhaps the best ruler Romania ever had since Charles I". (The article is only available on print, as it misses from Romania Liberă's electronic archive, even though the same author's editorials of June 29 and July 2 2006 are still available. Romania's best brand ambassador...

...is the same Prince Charles. On Sunday, October 30, two days from now, Travel Chanel will broadcast the "Wild Charpatia" (the Wild Carpathians) series of four episodes. The film will be translated into 20 languages and will be available in 119 countries around the world. A production preview took place in the Bucharest club Luft Lounge, in the presence of representatives of the Romanian Royal House and of the ministry of Tourism, Elena Udrea. The head producer of the documentary is Paul Lister, and the foundation he presides, The European Nature Trust. The documentary's co-producer and presenter Charlie Ottley ventures to the heart of the Carpathians and in dark Carpathian forests. This is perhaps Europe's last wild region, where bears, wolves and shy lynxes live, according to capital.ro. In the trailer, Charlie Ottley is interviewing Prince Charles at his Scottish residence, where the Prince of Wales proves Vlad the Impaler's blood flows through his veins. "After a very nice shot in which we captured wild birds right next to the house renovated by Prince Charles in Valea Zalanului, we went and spoke to him in Scotland, in his near-Belmont residence. We drove through arid wilderness with no trees. Associated Press: Charles holds "stakes in Romania's future"

In fact, Associated Press' London Office published yesterday the headline "Prince Charles claims Vlad the Impaler as ancestor", with the following article: "Truth revealed: Prince Charles is related to Vlad the Impaler. The successor to the British crown claims blood ties to Vlad the Impaler, the bloodthirsty Romanian ruler of the 15th century, Bram Stoker's inspiration for Dracula (1897). He stated this in a TV show, soon to be released to express his interest in protecting Transylvania's wild forests. Charles claims his genealogy proved blood ties to Vlad the Impaler, which explain his stakes in Romania's future. The Prince has been a fierce forest conservationist and even bought a house in Transylvania. In a trip to Romania early in the year, the prince referred to Transylvania as a national treasure due to its unaltered landscape and centuries old farming traditions."

"Transylvania is probably in my blood", Prince Charles once said, and then he expressed his love for Transylvania as a "special realm", according to Mediafax in May 2008, on a princely visit. Charles said his great-great-great-grandmother, Countess Claudia Rhedley, was buried in Mures, and from Saschiz he would visit her tomb, in Sangeorgiu de Padure, to pay his respect. Prince Charles also said that beyond the family ties he cherished special interest in the land, especially the "almost pristine" Carpathian area. Through the "Mihai Eminescu" foundation, Prince Charles is financing the reconditioning of several Transylvanian edifices, providing some of the funds for the renovation of the Banffy palace in Bontida.

Anything is possible, but we need a referendum

In the opinion of contemporary history professor Virgil Tarau with the Contemporary History Department and International Relations of the Faculty of History and Philosophy of the "Babes-Bolyai" University (UBB), any change in the system of government needs to observe constitutional provisions, including the change of the fundamental law trough referendum. "Now we have a constitutional mechanism. The system of government was decided in the 1991 Constitution, as well as the leverages to alter it, but the referendum is mandatory. It is in the power of a nation to choose its form of government, the monarchy included", the Cluj historian declared. In his opinion, a foreign prince - a utopian idea - needs to be approved by popular vote, in a referendum.

There is succession

UBB rector, professor Andrei Marga, claims that a foreign prince has already been brought here and the succession has already been agreed on. "The first foreign prince brought in Romania was Charles I, with his line of successors, so there's no telling how one can come up with another, as there's no escaping the current one", the rector said. In his opinion, the issue of the form of government is prone for debate. "In Italy, for example, a decision was taken in this respect. We procrastinated it after 1989. I think Romania should take a decision in this respect, if the people wants a republic or a monarchy", UBB rector concluded.

Băsescu, unexpected attack on the king

On June 22 2011, apparently off-topic, president Traian Băsescu launched a fierce attack on the Romanian Royalty in a show on B1 TV. "Why do we still consider that King Michael's abdication was a great patriotic act? It was not, it was high treason to Romania's national interest", Basescu declared. He added that everybody holds general Ion Antonescu, the Romanian WWII leader, responsible for the Jewish and Roma holocaust, yet we seem to forget Romania had a head of state. "Everybody blames Antonescu for the Jewish and Roma populations' holocaust, their deportation to the Trans-Dniester region, but nobody says that the Romanian state head was somebody else, and he (Antonescu) was just the premier", Băsescu said.

"We give some their fortunes back, and we blame others as war criminals. The head of state and the premier, just because one was a Russian servant and abdicated the throne to flee the country, is forgiven of all sins", the president concluded referring to King Michael I. The president referred to King Michael again one day before His Majesty's 90th anniversary, when invited to deliver a speech in the Parliament of Romania, more than six decades later. President Traian Băsescu declared he would not attend the event because he had no reason to. As for any messages he would like to address to the king, he retorted bluntly. "A message? What for?", Basescu asked. In the opinion of sociologist Mircea Comşa, Băsescu's attacks on the king are "fearless" of any monarchic re-instauration. "Polls have shown throughout time that pro-monarchy is only envisaged by up to 10% of the population, with variations from one polling agency to the next. So I cannot believe the monarchy enjoys appreciation and would be allowed to assume power", Comşa said. The sociologist blamed Băsescu's attacks on electoral or "other, sociology unrelated" grounds. "Perhaps the president does not want to be considered a supporter of the monarchy, or they (the attacks - n. red.) relate to other, non-sociological reasons", Comşa declared.

One more attack on royalty

The day after the king's speech, the self-proclaimed prince Paul of Romania - declined as such by the Romanian royalty - continued the attacks in an open letter: "You used beautiful words, some in interesting, even poetic phrases, some with double meaning, in a speech meant to be memorable. But, before anything else, of all the years you claim to have served the Romanian people, we have to deduct the 50 years of communism when you did nothing for this nation, apart from wishing them Merry Christmas or Happy Easter!", Paul wrote, quoted by Hotnews. He is the illegitimate nephew of King Charles II - the son of Carol Mircea Grigore of Hohenzollern (the illegitimate son of Charles II and step brother to King Michael), according to the same sources. In fact, Băsescu and Paul of Romania share a special bond: the president baptized one of Paul's children last year...

The Royal Way for Romania?



The special jubilee of King Michael's celebration of his 90th anniversary triggered great patriotic emotion and brought the nation to a consensus on the monarchy's historic importance in forming and consolidating the modern, united Romania. The boycott of this celebration by the executive - government and president - also revealed a great historical schism, according to Reuters.

President Traian Băsescu vehemently attacked King Michael lately, accusing him of treason with his 1947 abdication, and called him a slave to the Russians. This vindictive and aggressive anti-royal attitude stirred great opprobrium among the population, but also mobilized Băsescu's loyalists, who tried to reanimate and capitalize on the populist anti-monarchic resentment we thought buried in early ‘90s. The president and the sycophants then switched to pseudo-historic arguments to evince the alleged royal guilt that the king was manipulated by political intrigues of the opposition. He also launched a fierce attack against Prince Duda for undermining the Romanian constitution, by taking inoffensive remarks in a TV show out of context. Why the venom against a prince consort who had an attempted candidature to presidency in 2009? Even if he had a disproportionate influence on the king, why risk through sheer rudeness and disrespect to the former sovereign to stupefy the vast republican majority? Evenimentul Zilei even launched a fallacy on the king's birthday, October 25, that the old enemies of the president would attempt a parliamentary coup shielded by the king's speech before the Reunited Chambers of the Parliament, to reinstate monarchy. The directors are media mogul Dan Voiculescu in cahoots with the liberals, who had the initiative to invite the king in the parliament.

Emil Hurezeanu, the only journalist in King Michael's suite during his historical Easter visit of 1992, said on Realitatea TV that in 1992 some generals tried to lure the king into a coup. The king respectfully denied, out of respect for democracy and the Constitution. I know from confidential sources that major pro-monarchy political leaders have tried to persuade Michael I of appointing Prince Nicholas, his grandchild, the son of Princess Helena, as the dynasty's heir. It was an important project which would involve bringing the prince to Romania, educate him, acclimatize him to Romanian customs and the people. There is a precedent in this respect, as Boris Yeltin, with his Russian communist mindset, took the initiative to ask grand duke Duce Vladimir, descendent of Russia's Imperial Family, to send his nephew to the Naval Academy of Sankt Petersburg to become a true Russian. Michael or perhaps influent members of the family and entourage were refractory to the project. The mass-media launched an assumption that Basescu's obstinate opposition to the king originated from the president's privileged access to one or more documents recently declassified from secret service archives, be they FSB, former KGB or the British MI 5 or 6, which would incriminate the king more or less subjectively on one or another aspect of his career.

Possibly, no king is an angel, but this is not enough for the president to oppose the consensus on Michael's historical importance to switch camps in August 23, 1944, when we declared war on Nazi Germany, our former ally, and to defy the unanimous respect he enjoyed in the West and East as WWII's last surviving head of state. The king's speech before the Parliament, simple, concise, yet meaningful and replete with political ideas on the great problems of the Romanian state and society, echoed both in the country and abroad. A notorious royalty opponent like Ion Cristoiu wrote that the speech was that of a ruling monarch, not just an anniversary, 90-year message, dwelling on the idea of a political conspiracy of occult origin. Sociologist Vasile Dâncu wrote that the monarchy plays no future political role in Romania, it is just the resuscitation of an identity nostalgia and polls show that just 12% of the Romanians cherish monarchist feelings.

The entire world press mirrored the historical event with generosity, from the New York Times to the Izvestia. Never in a long time had anyone written so much and so positively about Romania. The daily Le Monde dedicated a whole page to the king, calling him the Man of the Week, The Economist in London wrote that unfortunately the speech was too short and came too late, explained the tragic destiny of a misfortunate king now applauded by the same members of the political spectrum who after the 1989 Revolution slandered and detracted him, insisted on the young king hostage to Antonescu, then to communists, who on ripe age was overwhelmed by the matriarchal influence, how he became alienated from his father, who had bestowed royal education onto him, and had no sons, only daughters. The international press unisoned in highlighting the boycott of the current power against the royal jubilee. The king was joined by the king and queen of Sweden, the queen of Spain, the grand Duchess Maria of Russia, king Simeon II of Bulgaria, the Serbian heir prince, Alexander II. At the royal dinner, Princess Muna of Jordan, very close to the diplomatic and security elites from Washington to Jerusalem, was seated to the left of Michael.

More ambassadors and diplomats attended the royal festivities then previously announced, all resplendent in their official plenipotentiary standing as states representatives. Why does Băsescu fear him? Does he really think that Dan Voiculescu or even Călin Popescu Tăriceanu, his long political enemies, can manipulate the king into the opposition's political conspiracies? The event was also attended by one of the most influent advisors of the longest ruling monarch alive, Jonathan Eyal, reputed politologist, former Oxford professor, born in Romania, fluent in Romanian, the most important British specialist in East European political-military affairs, head of the international security department of RUSI, the geo-political and strategy institute of the Royal British Armed Forces. What is certain is that October 25 relaunched a debate on the legitimacy of the monarchic alternative for Romania and dwells on the constitutional uncertainty of our semi-presidential republic.

It is hard to be a king in Romania, The Economist wrote, but I think it is unsustainable to be a republican either. Not when the republic is the offspring of the soviet puppet sate which usurped the Kingdom of Romania in 1947. Maybe Basescu is trembling due to recent rumors on reactivating the monarchy in Romania in the backstage of the Euro-Atlantic theater with Michael's 4th cousin once removed, Prince Charles of Wales. The hypothesis was first launched by Tom Gallagher in 2006 are can set the local political imagination ablaze and overthrow abulia stricken clichés that the monarchy is obsolete and inadequate for Romania. The first heir to the throne of the United Kingdom of Great Britain could become King Charles III of Romania. This symbiosis, His Highness declared, is extremely important because people need this sense of belonging, identity and community now more than ever. Historian Doru Radosav believes the relation between the gore loving Wallachian prince and the House of Windsor originates from the matrimonial filiations of Transylvanian nobility and Hungarian royalty. Vlad, born in Sighişoara, first married princess Bathory, then a member of the Szilagy clan, and then his third wife was cousin to famed Hungarian king Matthew Corvinus. In a speech held in England in April 1989, Charles harshly criticized Ceausescu's policy to destroy Romanian villages to make more room for agriculture, claiming personal involvement in the matter as his ancestor, Claudina Rhedey, was buried in Sangeorgiu de Padure.

The Daily Mail wrote today about the feature common to both the British royal family and the legendary Vlad: an ailment, porphyria, a lack of iron in the blood, which would have given birth to the vampire myth. There are occult connections through the genealogy of secret societies between Vlad the Impaler, immortalized as Dracula, and the British dynasties. On the maternal line, Michael is related to Victoria, a true hen of the European monarchy. Radosav also believes that the monarchy can be a solution for Romania due to the fact that dynasties were the first cement of the united Europe, anticipating today's Union, given their network, symbiotic and rooting. We need the monarchy, he says, because the king plays a reuniting role, he emanates love and generosity for his subjects, he is not the product of an antithetic electoral process, so corrosive in Romania. Radosav concluded about this Romanian-British connection: "The king's speech was Oscar winning, in the aftermath of a wedding skillfully staged of a true heir to the throne, Prince William who, just like the royal jubilee in Bucharest, reenacts the monarchic idea. Both events have been orchestrated by the extremely nimble marketing of the monarchic dynastic."

He suggested to Premier Georges Clemenceau a plan to unite Eastern Europe-involving the merging of Austria, Hungary and Poland as a tripartite monarchy under the guidance of the Jesuit order. Clemenceau, doubtful of the Vatican-inspired plan, rejected Retinger's proposal outright. This plan labeled Retinger, thereafter, as a Vatican agent.

The Iron Crown of Lombardy (Corona Ferrea) is both a reliquary and one of the most ancient royal insignia of Europe. The crown became one of the symbols of the Kingdom of Lombards and later of the medieval Kingdom of Italy. It is kept in the Cathedral of Monza, in the suburbs of Milan.

The Iron Crown is so called from a narrow band of iron about one centimeter (two-fifths of an inch) within it, said to be beaten out of one of the nails used at the crucifixion.

Since the 10th century, the Roman-German Kings would travel to Rome to be crowned Holy Roman Emperors. On their way, they traditionally stopped in Lombardy to be crowned with the Iron Crown as Kings of Italy.

The traditional site of the coronation was Pavia, the old Lombard capital, but starting with Conrad II in 1026 later on coronations were also performed at Milan. In 1530, Charles V received the Iron Crown simultaneously with his Imperial coronation at Bologna.
 
On May 26, 1805, Napoleon Bonaparte had himself crowned King of Italy at Milan, with suitable splendour and magnificence. Seated upon a superb throne, he was invested with the usual insignia of royalty by the Cardinal Archbishop of Milan, and ascending the altar, he took the iron crown, and placing it on his head, exclaimed, being part of the ceremony used at the enthronement of the Lombard kings, Dieu me la donne, gare à qui la touche –

"God gives it to me, beware whoever touches it".

On the occasion, Napoleon founded the Order of the Iron Crown, on June 15, 1805. After Napoleon's fall and the annexation of Lombardy to Austria, the order was re-instituted by the Austrian Emperor Francis I on January 1, 1816.

The last to be crowned with the Iron Crown was Emperor Ferdinand I in his role as King of Lombardy and Venetia.[12] This occurred in Milan on September 6, 1838.

After the war between Austria and Italy, when the Austrians had to withdraw from Lombardy in 1859, the Iron Crown was moved to Vienna, where it remained until 1866 when it was given back to Italy after the Third Italian War of Independence.

It's also perfectly understandable: with their unusual status as a recognized sovereign state without territory, the Knights of Malta enjoy full diplomatic rights in many countries -- including the ability to bypass customs inspectors by secreting items across borders via "diplomatic pouch." Sharing far right sympathies, the Roman Catholic Church and Cold War-era Western intelligence officials became natural allies, and the Knights of Malta became a natural conduit for their collaboration. With a lengthy, strategic partnership already forged in the name of anti-communism, a strengthening of this network in the name of the "War on Terror" ought to sound more predictable than paranoid to a student of U.S. foreign policy -- particularly given the current pope's record on Islam.

With "medical missions in more than 120 countries," as Keating points out, a teeming network of government spooks operating under the diplomatic protection afforded the Knights of Malta would certainly have plenty of breathing room to operate unnoticed.

Vaccine experimentation at Catholic-runned Orphanage

For those who doubt the problems with vaccines, there is nothing more that can be said by any investigator, reporter, journalist, or parent than the information revealed in this PrimeTime expose “When the Law ‘Winks’ at Vaccines and Dead Babies” about what took place in unauthorized vaccine trials on children in Catholic-run orphanages in the country of Ireland.

Hundreds of babies who died were sent to medical schools for dissection without parents’ information and/or consent.  The same disregard for parental consent also took place with placing these infants into vaccine trials.  The last few minutes of this video not only are shockingly revealing, but need to be understood in relationship to what’s happening today with infant and children vaccine adverse reactions globally, especially shaken baby syndrome and other legal charges medicine and the law use to deflect vaccine damage on to distraught parents.

I’m specifically making this article very short and beg you to view this 33-minute video to understand what’s terribly wrong with the ethics of medicine and vaccines in particular.  Globally children, and teenage girls in particular with regard to HPV vaccines in countries like India, are being subjected to trials under the guise of free vaccines to protect them.

The Languedoc now was firmly under the control of the King of France, and the policy of dealing with the Cathars primarily through military means shifted toward wiping them out through persuasion and torture. The Inquisition was established in Toulouse in November 1229. Under Pope Gregory IX, the Inquisition, under the leadership of the new Dominican Order, was given great power to suppress the heresy.
 
A campaign started in 1233, burning vehement and relapsed Cathars wherever they were found, even exhuming some bodies for burning. Many still resisted, taking refuge in fortresses at Fenouillèdes and Montségur, or inciting small uprisings. In 1235, the Inquisition was forced out of Albi, Narbonne, and Toulouse. Raymond-Roger de Trencavel led a military campaign in 1240. He was defeated at Carcassonne in October, then besieged at Montréal. He soon surrendered and was exiled in Aragon. In 1242, Raymond of Toulouse attempted to revolt in conjunction with an English invasion, but the English were quickly repulsed and his support evaporated. He was subsequently pardoned by the French king.
 
The Cathar strongholds fell one by one. Montségur withstood a nine-month siege before being taken in March 1244. The final holdout, a small, isolated, overlooked fort at Quéribus, quickly fell in August 1255. The last known Cathar burning occurred in 1321.

The express purpose of this original medieval Inquisition was to discover and eliminate vestiges of Cathar belief left after the Cathar Crusades.   During the crusades, ordinances had been passed which imposed new penalties for heresy.  After the death of Innocent III in 1216 Honorius sanctioned Dominic Guzmán's new religious order, popularly known as the Dominicans after him.  The Dominicans in turn created the first formal Inquisition.  In 1233 the next pope, Gregory IX, charged the Dominican Inquisition with the final solution: the absolute extirpation of the Cathars.  Soon the Franciscans would join in too, but it is Dominic Guzmán (St Dominic) and his followers who have left the legacy of bitterness that endures in the Languedoc into the third millennium.

On January 8, 1198, the day Celestine III was buried, Lotario was elected pope after only two ballots. His election was held in the ruins of the ancient Septizodium, near the Circus Maximus in Rome.

In that same year of his rise to the Papacy, he suppressed all records of earlier Church history by establishing the Secret Archives (Catholic Encyclopedia, xv, p. 287). The Church admits: "Unfortunately, only few of the records [of the Church] prior to the year 1198 have been released".

Innocent III sought to assert and extend the prestige and plenitudo potestatis (absolute power) of the papacy throughout his entire career. He took advantage of the chaos that followed Henry VI's untimely death to undermine the link between Germany and Sicily. Germany was thrust into civil war when the leading Hohenstaufen candidate for the imperial throne, Philip of Swabia, Henry VI's brother, was challenged by Otto of Brunswick. Although Innocent crowned Otto in 1198, the latter's attempt to control Sicily prompted the pope to excommunicate him

At the beginning of his pontificate, Innocent focused on the Albigenses, a sect of Christians that sought to live in non-violent peaceful communities upholding the values of Jesus and the Nazarenes. Two Cistercian Inquisitors and a band of papal militia were sent to Albigenses in France to demand they cease such practices as living peacefully and without church lords.

When the papal legate was assassinated by Innocents own Papal Guard, he immediately used it as an excuse to declare an act of war. Innocent then called upon France to suppress the Albigenses. Under the leadership of Simon of Montfort a campaign was launched, but this was soon turned by the northern French barons into a war of conquest.

Innocent also decreed the Fourth Crusade of 1198, intended purely as a political move to weaken the power of the European monarchs. The pope directed his call towards the knights and nobles of Europe rather than to the kings; wishing that neither Richard I of England (1189-99) nor Philip II of France, (who were still engaged in war), nor especially his German enemies, should participate in the crusade.

Innocent III's call was generally ignored until 1200, when a crusade was finally organized in Champagne. The Venetians then redirected it into the sacking of Zara (Zadar) in 1202 and of Constantinople in 1204 killing hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women and children.


At the Fourth Lateran Council in April 1215, Innocent III condemned the Magna Carta and demanded that the Jews wear distinctive dress. He also declared that anybody caught reading the Bible would be stoned to death by "soldiers of the Church militia"

Pope Innocent III wrote a revealing work called Registro, in which he deals extensively with the power of the Church to punish sins and sinners. Within it, he included this vivid illustration which shows a wolf in friar's clothing with a pronged weapon demanding alms from a cloven-footed creature with a curled tail. This doe-eyed composite animal satirically represents believers in Jesus Christ whom the general populace called "pigs with crosses".

He died in June 1216 and was succeeded by Pope Honorius III (1216-1227).

This Papal Bull represents the birth of the all-powerful Arch-Bishops (Cardinals) of the Roman Catholic Church, who robbed Kings, Queens and Princes to gain wealth, versus Royal families that fought back, therefore the death of many tens of thousands of people over the next few centuries.

To this day, this simple false enterprise of icon worship and use has generated over $3 Billion (2006 US equivalent currency) alone for the Roman Catholic Church.

When the castle at Bram fell in 1210 he had the noses of 100 prisoners cropped, their lips cut off and their eyes gauged out. One man was left with one eye so that he could guide the others away. With a hand on the shoulder of the one in front, and the one-eyed man at their head, a file of blind prisoners wound its way to the next town to demonstrate the ineffable mercy of God's Army. At other towns Simon favoured mass burnings. The Pope, who was kept informed, gave thanks to God. For their part, the Cathar perfecti behaved like the early martyrs of Christian legend. At Minerve the Cistercian Vaux de Cernay noted that it was not necessary to throw them to the flames, for they went voluntarily. They claimed that "neither death nor life can separate us from the faith to which we are joined". Their behaviour seems to have impressed some of their persecutors, but not enough to raise qualms about killing them. At Lavaur, 400 were burned by the crusaders, "with great joy" as de Cernay noted. (The crusaders generally burned people alive with great joy - cum ingenti gaudio). One perfecti allegedly renounced his faith. The rest died in silence.

Robert Pattinson is a natural at playing a vampire in the "Twilight" film series - and with good reason. It's in his blood, according to Ancestry.com.

Geneologists say RPattz, 24, is related to Vlad the Impaler, the 15th-century Translyvanian leader (real name Vlad 3 Dracula), who served as the inspiration for Bram Stoker's "Dracula," reported The Hollywood Reporter.

According to researchers, Pattinson's relation to Dracula comes from his distant ties to the British royal family. The actor is also a distant cousin of Prince William and Prince Harry, who are said to be distant nephews of Vlad.
