CIA Coup Army Uncovered in Asia

Hidden in plain sight, army of dupes prepare for “Asian Summer.”
by Tony Cartalucci
Bangkok, Thailand July 2, 2011 - A tiny handful of Marxists, dupes, and shills converged in Bangkok today in what would seem like nothing more than a footnote in the day’s news. In reality, it was actually the surfacing fin of a shark prowling the political waters of Southeast Asia. While Bangkok certainly has enough foreign-funded troubles of its own, the protest was actually held at the Malaysian Embassy regarding “political prisoners” the Malaysian government is allegedly holding. What was particularly telling was the tiny, very familiar, clenched fist logo adorning the protesters’ clothing and banners.
The US National Endowment for Democracy (NED)-funded Prachatai propaganda outfit dutifully reported in their article, “Solidarity protest for clean and fair elections and immediate release of Bersih activists,” that on July 1, “students, activists and press gathered outside the Malaysian Embassy, Bangkok, in response to the Malaysian Government’s arrest of more than a hundred members of the coalition network Bersih 2.0 consisting of various Malaysian human rights organizations campaigning for reforms in the electoral system.” Joining the protest, according to the Bangkok Post, was the People’s Empowerment Foundation, another National Endowment for Democracy-funded front group.
Photos: Adorning the back of one Thai protester’s brown t-shirt and the red banner of Malaysia’s PSM, is the now ubiquitous Otpor clenched fist. The US-funded Serbian organization Otpor, would later become CANVAS and train US-backed revolutionaries all over the world. Now apparently movements are combining their efforts regardless of nationality in an attempt to replace national governments with a homogenous, centrally funded and controlled civil society network. For more on CANVAS see “Fake Revolutions.”

UPDATE: CANVAS has moved and renamed their Cooperation and Supporters web-page. It can now be found under "External Links."
Recycled revolutionary "props."
by Tony Cartalucci
First noted by geopolitical analyst and historian Dr. Webster Tarpley, some suspicious similarities could be seen between the Egyptian unrest and another, known US-backed uprising in Serbia. Serbia's Otpor, or the "resistance," was funded to the tune of millions by the US National Endowment for Democracy. Its signature clenched fist logo adorned flags, signboards, and t-shirts carried by the US State Department-laid astro-turf until the ousting of Slobodan Milošević in 2000.
The exact same logo would turn up 11 years later across the Mediterranean Sea in the streets of Cairo, illustrating further the preposterous, foreign-backed nature of the Egyptian uprisings. Could it just be just a coincidence and Dr. Tarpley's take mere speculative conjecture? Not even close.
After its success, Serbia's Otpor would continue receiving funds from the West and become a "CIA-coup college" of sorts, under the name CANVAS, or "Center for Applied Non-Violent Action and Strategies." It appears that after the Egyptian April 6 Youth Movement finished attending the US State Department funded confab in New York City in 2008, it would make a trip to visit CANVAS in 2009. From there, it took CANVAS's "curriculum" and apparently their logo, and began assembling a US-funded mob in Egypt.
Amongst CANVAS's current "partners" are the Albert Einstein Institution, Freedom House, and the International Republican Institute (IRI). The IRI includes amongst its board of directors John McCain, Lindsey Graham, and Brent Scowcroft. When John McCain says "We should have seen this coming," in regards to the unrest in Egypt, he obviously isn't talking about himself since he helped make it happen.
See with your own eyes, the absolutely shameless hoax foisted upon you, the general public, by your corporate owned mainstream media, the US State Department, and all the disingenuous leaders who have feigned ignorance and surprise over the premeditated and meticulously planned unrest still unfolding throughout the Middle East today, and NEVER believe a word they say again.

The debate is over; the revolutions are fake, the people behind them illegitimate.
by Tony Cartalucci
CANVAS leader Srdja Popovic stands here before Columbia, a public sponsor of the US State Department's Movements.org. While he denies he is being funded by the US government, just as his disingenuous movement did in 2000 before being found to have lied, his organization works in tandem with the US State Department's agenda and the various organizations it openly funds.
Bangkok, Thailand June 14, 2011 - The degenerate, profiteering liars that populate the Serbian based "CANVAS" organization maintain that while the US government had initially funded them as they overthrew the government of Serbia in 2000, currently the US government does not fund them - that they are privately funded. Unfortunately for these meddling interlopers, the US government itself is "privately owned" by many of the people who fund the organizations they claim as partners.
These partners include:
Albert Einstein Institution (foundation-funded including the corporate-lined Acra Foundation)
United States Institute for Peace (USIP) (funded through Congress)
Freedom House (Neo-Con infested)
International Republican Institute (IRI) (headed by warmonger John McCain)
New Tactics (Ford Foundation-funded, Soros-funded)
Humanity in Action (Ford Foundation-funded, US State Department-funded)
The organization is obviously sensitive about who it is seen dealing with, partnering with, and receiving money from. Knowledge of its true nature and purpose has systematically been lied about from its very inception. Foreign Policy reported that "Like the entire opposition to Milosevic, Otpor [now known as CANVAS] took money from the U.S. government, and lied about it. When the real story came out after Milosevic fell, many Otpor members quit, feeling betrayed." As CANVAS was exposed for its more recent involvement in Egypt, they quickly changed their "Partnership" page to "External Links." In a recent documentary, where CANVAS openly claims responsibility for training and guiding unrest across the planet, they reiterate that they are not funded by the US government. This is a dubious claim at best, considering who they associate with and how their "mission" dovetails with identical efforts by openly US-funded and sponsored organizations like Movements.org.
The documentary produced by Journeyman Pictures features CANVAS, its founder, and the story of how they have influenced "color revolutions" all over the globe. While the documentary is fairly objective about its particular subject matter, namely CANVAS' role in the unrest, within a greater context and amidst overwhelming evidence there is no question at all whether or not these revolutions are entirely engineered and contrived.
