“Breastfeeding is a building block of lifelong health for our youngest Ontarians, yet women do not have adequate support in order to successfully breastfeed,” Gelinas said. “Without a provincial strategy, health care institutions are unable to set the World Health’s Organization’s international standard of care as new mothers continue to struggle to breastfeed across the province.”

My wife gave birth to twins in an Ontario hospital 5 years ago...I'll never forget one nurse in the mat ward who was basically talking to my wife like a drill sargent because she didn't think she was doing the breast feeding properly. She was probably following her UN/WHO training manual.
