This thread is intended to document the claim that Alex made today on his show that U.S. Farmers will be subjected to draconian inspections of their farm equipment. The so-called 'white glove' inspections are imminent, according to Alex.

A cursory google search using "Feds new proposed rules on farmers" as a search term, found nothing to indicate that this type of proposed regulations are on the table at all. In fact.....there seems to be nothing but negation of this sort of claim.

Here are some samples:

There are a number of issues facing small family farms; and the potential 'new' regulation that would require commercial drivers licenses is just one of them. This is effectively legislation via regulation - a convenient way to bypass congress and put the screws to the farmers:

From the U.S. Govt. publication:

http://www.federalregister.gov/articles/2011/05/31/2011-13035/regulatory-guidance-applicability-of-the-federal-motor-carrier-safety-regulations-to-operators-of

In short, a proposal by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), part of the Department of Transportation (DOT), that would require all drivers of farm vehicles to have commercial driver's licenses. Pretty nasty don't you think?

So the word got out, people were pissed off... and we saw this:

Farmers won't need commercial driver's licenses, feds say
http://billingsgazette.com/news/state-and-regional/montana/article_322464ad-3ac8-5938-80c5-652e95da5e34.html

Phew! Close call.
Do you think this issue is going to go away?
Do you see what's happening to small farms across the country?
And do you understand the rampant growth and virtual takeover of our farm industry by giant agri-business conglomerates?

Martin - when will you get concerned about this? When you have no choices about where you buy your food... from con-agra or the guy with the farm down the road? Soon that guy won't be growing any food, he'll be out of a job.

Well it's interesting to see what happens when you present the words from the horse's mouth.

This guy is not interested in the dire situation faced by farmers.
His mission is trashing Alex Jones.
Good luck with that.

One more thing Martin:  my guess is that you don't think there's anything going on with the food supply -
that this war against independent farmers (e.g, providers of food) is just all in our minds.

Well, you probably love high fructose corn syrup (it's only corn, right??), and you'll love GMO fish.
Er... but, you may not like it when you have to start shaving your tongue. And if you have kids - great.
I hope they can have kids in the future. Do some digging on reduced sperm counts. And while your at it,
search for "Monsanto GMO" and "Michael Taylor" - see what's happening at the FDA.

Bon Appetit.

(Note: if you expend a little effort, you can find research papers on the comments above. You'll have to do your own research though.)

That was their plan with this draconian CDL regulation, fortunately they backed down because of all the outcries against it.

Exactly how does reporting on this planned regulation and what it's effect will be on farmers if it was imposed make Alex "full of it"? Also, you are literally ignoring the fact that Alex and his crew have to dig through 1,000's of news articles, documents, videos and so forth on a daily basis and you have failed to give him time to catch up to the current news that this proposed regulation was shot down. Based on your weak strawman argument, I would say that you are the one who is full of it. But I guess a troll is what a troll does, grasping at any little straw it can find.

I am glad some of you posted the actual threat! I was unable to find it. In any event....the Fed is not going through with it....so there.

My issue with Alex is that he speaks as though this is a done deal....when he clearly knows that it is NOT a done deal.

It's called hyperbole. It's called running loose and fast with the actual facts.

I'm just tired of Alex running fast and loose with the truth...so I've decided to start checking his facts...and I started out as an Alex believer.

Now I'm starting to think that Alex is less than truthful at least 1/2 the time. This is unacceptable.

That's my take.

Let's keep on checking his claims. Don't you think that is a smart tack?

I want to make it clear....I FULLY understand the threat the corrupt U.S. Govt. represents against local farmers. I am an advocate for local farmers!

What I am NOT a supporter of is Alex' stretching of the true facts of things.

Let me get specific here......

On Alex' friday, 8-12-2011 show...Alex insinuates VERY STRONGLY that the U.S. Govt. is currently enacting a draconian policy which would require farmers to give up all kinds of rights.... including a policy which would require farmers to register as CDL drivers.

CLEARLY...AT THE TIME OF THE AIRING OF THE SHOW YESTERDAY.......Alex HAD to have understood that the Govt. chose to back off from these proposed policies after a public comment period showed that there was a HUGE backlash against such draconian policies!

So....in THIS case...our Republic worked!

But...Alex just plows forward as if these policies are being enacted.

This is fraud. Plain and simple.

I think thee doth protest too much Mark Wasom. Why do you hold so much importance on one man? You have the same attitude about the average person that our government does....we are incapable of finding the truth out ourselves so we need to be "educated."  Stop being the "saviour" we already have one. I smell fraud but it's coming from your direction.

Well, AJ and we all know that the government just
keeps plowing ahead (pun intended), no matter the
public sentiment, as it dismantles family farming
and natural FOODS in favor of Monsanto, etc,
factory farming, genetic modifications and UN/NWO
stifling regulations. THEY WILL NOT STOP!

It is just like the CONGRESS ... if their NWO crap doesn't pass
one session, never fear ... it will be back next session,
bet on it! And it will keep coming back until they blackmail
or strong arm enough Reps and Senators to get it passed.

Sure, they are now saying, "No new regulations ... we
were just kidding! Ha, ha, ha!" Then next week they will
be back with more draconian regs about farm machinery ...
farm workers ... sanitation, etc, etc ... more harassment
and Stormtrooper actions ... mark my words!

It's one of my favourite questions because I have a relative who is a commie, and she knows it, but won't admit it. It's because the word "Communism" is branded in our psyche as being a bad thing, so nobody likes the label, not even the commies-in-denial, so they won't admit it. Freedom or bust!

Martin,

I registered with my full name and city of residence...I even gave you a little background.

I did a "cursory Google search" and found nothing to back this up. As a matter of fact, the only place the name "Martin Wasom" came up was ON the Prison Planet Forum. (I do emphasize the word "cursory" in my own search.)

Apologies in advance for the intrusion.

(BTW Martin, we're all happy for you that you made a "ton of money on gold bullion".)

—–-===o@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@o===-–—

Fellow Members: I am NOT debating the original subject of this post.

Whether or not Martin Wasom is a troll is immaterial at this point. (A Reptilian, maybe;))

Aside from the lack decorum and occasional sophomoric remarks, (a definite trait of the troll), the POINT of his comments do hold water. (If he IS a troll, he will eventually tire himself out and fade away-as most good little trolls are wont to do.)

Martin has been a member of this forum for only a few weeks, and the 16 or so posts that he has made over that time HAVE been somewhat combative regarding the veracity of Alex Jones recent and past on-air statements. This does not necessarily invalidate his point. It in fact, forces us to do exactly what Alex (and our Constitution) asks of us as citizens and critical free-thinkers: Question Authority!

And yes, Alex Jones qualifies as an Authority.

Regardless of what we might think, Alex Jones has now become an institution of sorts, in turn making him subject to the questions and criticism that comes with it. He lays himself open to this by the very nature of his chosen profession. To NOT question him would leave US open to the very things that he rails against: Blind acceptance of someone or something's "truth".

Yes, most of us here share in a common truth, (one that we know in our hearts to be THE truth) but just as the Founders warned– if it is not held up to the light of RIGHTEOUS truth, it will molder and rot.

No ONE human being's word should be held up as sacrosanct.

I write this because the power of mass persuasion is perhaps the foremost tool in the corruption of humankind. (and obviously, a major pet peeve!) No one likes being disagreed with, but if we are to live by the ideals that we hold so dear; we must be able to look at things objectively and admit when we are wrong. (In Martin Wasom's defense, he has done this over the course of his 16 posts.) As hard as it is for us to accept sometimes, HONESTY must trump VANITY.

We are all individuals who share a common belief, but we cannot let ourselves become the Alex Jones Herd.

A consensus of kindred spirits and free thinkers who rally around a common representative? ABSOLUTELY.

We're not merely "Ditto Heads"– are we?

I wouldn't be here for any length of time if I didn't respect what this man is trying to do– mistakes and all. I'm sure if Alex has any integrity– and I firmly believe that he does– he would agree.

We are not politically bound to any one person– but to an IDEA. The fallible human being who just happens to be Alex Jones is a major voice in the survival of it.

I think this thread has gone well, with measured, cordial posts from everyone. I hope
Martin sticks around ... seems nice, just a bit put off by AJs hyperbole:

hy·per·bo·le
   [hahy-pur-buh-lee]

1. obvious and intentional exaggeration.
2. an extravagant statement or figure of speech not intended to be taken
literally, as “to wait an eternity".

It is like when AJ says, "They are coming for your guns!" ... we know
that it is not LITERAL, as in today the stormtroopers are knocking
your doors down ... we know it is a long term goal to incrementally
create new "laws" and "restrictions" which, if not combatted and defeated
at every juncture, will eventually result in just that ... the "authorities"
confiscating our guns!

It is the nature of the "unfinished work" of TPTB to move step-by-step,
slowly and meticulously toward their eventual goals ... so, they ARE
"coming for your family farm" ... AJ is right.

So there? Are you 12 yrs old or what? If you think it's over then you haven't thought very far ahead. Effie Trinket put it best in a related thread:

Haha, if anyone thinks the elite are going to stop and just leave farmers alone, think again.

In fact, an article like this could be used to just to get everyone to drop their guard, and then they could ram through the agenda again with lightning speed--inserting bullshit into totally unrelated bills like they always do.

In the UK, the media psyopped the people into believing that privacy advocates were "heard" and that they successfully halted the mass deployment of IBM's Nazi eugenics/austerity enforcing death meters--only to ram through the very agenda that they claimed was "defeated" within like a week after that.  When the NWO tells the public:  "this is NOT an assault, this is NOT an assault, this is NOT an assault"--the slaves buy it hook line and sinker EVERY TIME.  Gotta stop letting them get away with declaring fake victories by free humanity because they do it every chance they get.

Like I said earlier, stay vigilant and don't let our guard down and assume victory is complete.

Martin -

Alex Jones invites his listeners to do their own research. You will frequently hear him say, "Don't take my word for it; do the research". And on this forum, WE DO the research. We don't post an article without the source link. You can evaluate the quality of the source yourself; but any quotes are attributed.

So if you take issue with something he said, if you don't believe it - then do your own research. The fact that you couldn't find the government document outlining the 'regulations' they seek to impose on farmers is surprising, as it was easy to find in an ixquick.com search. So perhaps you need to dig a little deeper.

Alex is a radio talk show host, and an entertainer in his core (accents, dramatazations, etc.), but his message is the truth. I have yet to find any statement he's made that is NOT based on either a GOVERNMENT document, or a mainstream source (especially any propaganda he alludes to). And I do research his claims.

Anyone who is awake to the machinations of the NWO will do their own research because they are sick and tired of being lied to. I research everything; I can't NOT do that anymore: it's the only way to make sure I know the truth.

Have you watched Alex's documentaries? Try finding a lie in what he says - you won't be able to. You can find the sources (and hear them in their own words) in his documentaries. Try spending your energy attacking the liars, not the truth-bringers among us. You told us you were a founder of one of the 911 truth groups in Austin.  That's great - get that spirit back, and stop attacking those who are also trying to get the truth out.

"REMEMBER THE ALAMO!"

So after a long growing outcry by the plebs, that would include you and I, Martin, and millions of others including the 50 million or so who are now on food stamps or public subsistence, because of the REAL fraud Alex points out...  which began to build slowly many decades ago reaching a crescendo last fall with the latest installment of the on going fleecing of America via the Pure Food and Drug Act of 1906 to be amended by the Food Safety act of 2010 ... which continues the equating classification, of "man or other animals"(sec. 6 of PFDA-06 and elsewhere)... and now this latest.. "@%#$&," which further restricts the process of cultural formation and wealth creation from the hands of the people.......

So, when Alex shows light on this long term assault, knowing that the little half-step back the usurpers have taken means absolutely nothing... and he maintains the outcry, that we must continue the barrage and not let up until this global/federal/state/ fraud spewing beast is dead, because, and I reiterate, the halting step is only a ruse... yet for this, Alex's continued outcry for more public pressure ("... the beast is barely wounded, continue firing...!"), you accuse Alex of fraud...??

I have to tell you Martin, your logic is not functioning well, you need to stop drinking the city water...
