Why do you even bother having guests on?  Every time they start to make a point, you insist on interrupting them with your two cents and then they lose their place and either don't finish their thoughts or have to start over.

You're a brilliant man, and you've done a lot for the patriot movement, but your rudeness is quite frankly what is keeping you from advancing to that next level.

I know some guests get rambling and need some direction - like Lindsey Williams - but for the most part you'd be better served turning the floor over the guests and staying quiet.  Your interruptions rarely add anything to the conversation - you just keep summarizing points you've said time and time again.

In a nutshell, you're your own worst enemy.

One of the reasons I think AJ  is so intense,
is because he truly believes he can have a positive effect on our future.
He speaks, and often shouts out the truth as he sees it,
with the passion he feels.

I have been a paid member here for 4 years
and an unpaid listener for at least 3.
I have chilled out and grown to accept AJ for who he is.
After all, we all have our personality defects;
hopefully , we keep working on improving them.

AJ's excitement can be annoying at times;
I would not be surprised
if all members here have had moments of frustration
and screamed at AJ to let the guests speak.

If you notice carefully,
Max Keiser,
Paul Craig Roberts,
Dr Steve Pieceznek,
Nigel Farage,
and Lord Moncton,
can hold the floor and keep AJ listening.

I agree that AJ could benefit demonstrating less exuberance with the less assertive guests.

But when things slow down, it's always time for another commercial !
And those breaks are necessary, but very frustrating.

So I ask myself :
Is my life better or worse because of AJ ?
The answer is a very strong "YES"!

I think it shows just how un-scripted and real Alex is . . .

People are used to talking heads reading an auto-cue, not real people with passion.

As Amazon says, not all the guests have difficulties.

If a guest is not aware of Alex's style of interviewing, they probably do not need to be on the show.  In other words, these people have the ability to speak for themselves, if they think they are not getting enough 'air time' with Alex, they can refuse to be a guest or tell him during the interview to let them finish (I've heard guests do that on occasion, and Alex is always compliant).

I agree Amazon, if you have spent much time here at all, you have gotten aggravated at Alex, at least once...the same could be said for any person I am around or listen to.  Nobody is going to behave exactly as I want them to at all times.

He is intense, that is why his program is growing and the infowar is better with him than without him.  You are asking someone to change their personality, not an easy thing to do and often comes across as insincere.  Keep on Alex!

The problem is - are Alex's interruptions ADDING to the conversation or derailing it?

What frustrated me today was when the American living in London - sorry I forgot the name - was on.  He started going down a path about private security companies, then Alex interrupted to summarize points he makes time and time again.  Guess what happened after that?  That whole topic and train of thought was lost.

About 5 minutes later the guest started to get back in that direction again, but it wasn't the same as when he first started.

That's the problem with Alex's interruptions - he often kills a great topic.  And once it's stopped, you can never regain the path it would have gone down.  So Alex's "enthusiasm" often can stop key information from coming through.

I have a friend in this forum
who calls in regularly and gets treated with respect.

And this person speaks up loud and clear and to the point.

Same with another friend here,
who you all heard on the telethon:
he was the one who made AJ laugh !

I think you need to be brief, to the point and clearly state
if you have a question
or if you have a comment.

There is a strategy to talk radio.
It moves quickly,
not at the pace of conversation.

Understand your role here...
after all,
you are NOT the guest and NOT the one being interviewed.

I live in the UK and did not call in yesterday
because even though I went on night patrol in one of those rioting cities,
I wanted to listen to what others had seen and heard.

So, in a sense, I , too,
felt like I had nothing to add.

However, I still believe that I am important to this movement.

There are many roles that are useful here.
Just spreading the message
or posting  can be important.

Even if you happen to not like his style for some reason, show some respect for the man who has waken up more people than anyone else and is doing more than anyone else.

Why do people always think he's a doormat?

How often have we seen a newbie type in the same complaint over and over ?

Almost seems like a relationship issue,
where one member of a couple has a complaint about the other .
Sooner or later, they come to accept the other,
or leave,
as if they think they will find better elsewhere !

Those of us who have spent a decent amount of time with him,
know that AJ is NO Doormat !

bother to call in or become an interviewee. I have stuff I
would love to rant about on his show ... BUT ... I know I

He will ask the most important question of his awesome guest and then just vomit all over his answer, never let him finish and then you have to go to that persons site to see what he really thinks about the subject.

I don't think he will change for your sake, Jordan. I do think he will continue to gain public notoriety using his existing tactics. You may perceive them as bad, but they are also highly infotaining, which is key in gaining virality.

I think you misunderstand Femacamper -- I'm not asking him to, as you can see others have - I just happen to agree with them about his timing being very bad. Like I said I just go to guests site and see what he has to say there, as others do.

So in short his being unable to control himself makes others sites viral -- good plan.

If Alex did not conduct his interviews in the way he does he would loose more listeners then the few whiners who gripe about him .  Hell, most of us have had some serious fun over the years listening to him just the way he is and would not dream of having him any other way.  Most of us also remember a time when we did not understand Alex's passion and fealt similar to the above mentioned whiners.  Thankfully we stuck it out and matured enough to appreciate just what Alex does for the movement and how much effort he really puts into it.  I can see why a few people might whine about his technique but in the end like the millions of others of his listeners would not dream of having him any other way. Grin

C'mon Freeski, you need to lighten up and bash him a bit,  try it and then maybe you'll feel better about yourself.  While I have never tried I am told it is good for your self esteem and all sorts of stuff.  Tea and scones definately not, but perhaps WHINE and cheese will do the trick. Cheesy

Nope... Aggressiveness/assertiveness-R-US!

Alex generally uses the first hour to vent the knowledge of the day... His first hour rants are the man in measure, and worth every minute in valuable info...

His guests, the ones who pay attention, listen a bit prior, thus are cadenced and ready to go... been there, done that... on air a few times...

The guests that add to the spontaneity of the discussion, that bring him out, they are the ones he really listens to... You see, much of what Alex has to say goes unsaid until a key phrase triggers a "thought series" memory, a good guest will try to engage this... then the interchange really cranks as things open up and out into clarity... This happens with Ventura and Pieceznek a lot...

Try to listen with a more discerning ear, a less critical one next time... you will see/hear what I mean and you will take more home from the experience...

Don't worry about a thing Alex... you're growing in your own natural groove and a vast majority like it... keep it up!

Alex is the most empowering talk show host I have ever listened too.  His bursts of energy and passion are transposes across the airwaves like atomic energy!  That is what makes him a hit!!

He himself may not realize it, but he does empower people to get up and do what they might have feared or didn't think they could do!

If you do not feel his passion and energy--you are just not paying enough attention to the dire straights our country and world are in!

One man can make a difference-- the rest is up to us, individually.

I wouldn't say he interrupts as much as he leads the witness so to speak. He can finish a guest's sentence, and get multiple points across, while having the guest agree. And he's never been accused of not being passionate. We aren't in the 1980s any more, there is no waiting 20 years for things to develop, we are knee deep in a shit sandwich and the message has to be pushed.

There's always room for improvement - I actually try and listen to the opinion of his guests, hard to do with someone is making cartoon characters voice in's over his guests most important comments. It's not a matter of right or wrong - it's about communication - some are just better at it then others.

Some of Alex's rants are da bomb others are poorly timed - no one is asking for perfect just consideration.

Yes you do not want to stay with that crowd and I would not advise you join any other groups like that again.  The silliness factor of the detractors is definately something you should avoid in the future.  Perhaps stick with finding content you might disagree with would help.
