FAKE OPPOSITION: CSPI Praises McDonald’s for Putting Preservative-Soaked GMO Apples in Happy Meals

The improvements that McDonald’s has announced for its Happy Meals are an important step in the right direction. It’s good news that those meals will all have apple slices, smaller servings of fries, and fewer calories. While we wish that Happy Meals would include a bigger serving of fresh fruit or vegetable, including even a small serving—and without a sugary sauce—as a standard component is a real advance.

McDonald’s clearly has a lot more to do, for both kids and adults. But this move is a sign that the company recognizes that parents don’t want burgers, fries, and soda to be the default fast-food experience. And, surely, McDonald’s recognizes that policy makers are becoming increasingly interested in ensuring that healthier foods are marketed to children.

The Center for Science in the Public Interest has pressed McDonald's and other companies to stop using trans fat (COMMENT: You were the ones who bullied the fast food companies into switching TO trans fats, criminals!!!!!!!), reduce sodium levels (as ordered by your Rockefeller overlords to carry out their depopulation agenda, ZioNazi scum), and provide more-healthful options (GMOs are healthy? BULL-F*CKING-SHIT!). In a lawsuit filed last year, CSPI represents a parent concerned about McDonald's use of toys to attract children to its Happy Meals. (Yet you allow a MCDONALD'S FRONT GROUP - the AMERICAN DIETETIC ASSOCIATION - to dictate OFFICIAL nutrition policy on your NATIONAL ALLIANCE FOR NUTRITION AND ACTIVITY, you frauds!)

HUGE smoking gun I just found. Dr. Cynthia Goody (McDonald’s Director of Nutrition) and Julia Braun (McDonald’s U.S. Nutrition and Labeling Manager) are members of the American Dietetic Association! The ADA is a 100% McDonald’s front group! CSPI’s NANA Coalition has a McDonald’s front group as a member while CSPI complains about Happy Meal toys! CSPI and the NANA Coalition are FRAUDS!

I do agree that the commercialization of food and using TV to brainwash innocent kids into wanting fast food is bad,  but once again Michael Jacobson covers up the true cause of obesity: aspartame and MSG wrecking the metabolism – which causes weight gain and can lead to obesity – and causing people to crave sugar – which causes overeating, which may cause weight gain, which can lead to obesity. The food industry apologists routinely use obesity as their main talking point in the exact same way as the Bush administration used terrorism as their main talking point? Why will Jacobson not admit that the TRUE cause of obesity is the way that aspartame and MSG wreck the metabolism? Oh, and CSPI’s NANA Coalition, a nutritional advocacy coalition? Its steering committee members are fronts for Monsanto, ConAgra, Kellogg’s, and the meat and dairy industries. An organization (CSPI) run by a vegetarian (Jacobson) running a nutritional advocacy coalition which has a steering committee member (American Diatetic Association) which is funded by the meat and dairy industries. That is the ULTiMATE form of hypocrisy.
