I would also agree that if Norway was working to broker a deal in Libya, it would also be a target. Libya is a key part of the theft of water resources from North Africa. MOSCOW (BNS): The navies of Russia and Norway are planning to conduct a joint naval exercise ‘Pomor-2011’ in May, a media report said.

Both navies will participate in the third series of the joint drill at the Barents and Norwegian Seas.

"The exercise will take place in the Barents and Norwegian Seas, and will include firing of live artillery rounds at simulated surface and aerial targets, anti-submarine warfare drills, anti-piracy operations, and search-and-rescue missions," RIA Novosti quoted Vadim Serga as saying on Thursday.

In 2010, Russia participated in the drill with its Northern Fleet’s large ASW ship Severomorsk, Il-38 ASW aircraft, Su-33 fighters and Ka-27PS helicopters. The Norwegian Navy participated with its frigate KNM Otto Sverdrup, Coast Guard ship Nordkapp, Orion patrol aircraft, F-16 fighters and Lynx helicopters in the drill.

Wearing a police uniform a man arrived at Utøya in Norway approximately 2 hours after the capitol Oslo had sustained major bombing attacks. He claimed he was there to check on the security of the event after the attack in Oslo. Every year the norwegian Labour Party arranges a youth camp at Utøya and there were around 500-700 teenagers between the age of 13-20 there at the time. Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg was to attend the camp tomorrow.

The man in the police uniform had asked people to gather around him before he started shooting at random. People fled into the woods and around 50 teenagers swam from the island and to the main land (which is quite a distance).

Eyewitnesses has described the man as fair skinned, tall and blond. He was also fluent in Norwegian. The police has reported that 10 people has been confirmed dead so far and that there most probably is a connection between the shooting and the bombing. The man was apparently spotted in oslo where the bomb was to go off. The hospital in Oslo is now recieveing survivors from Utøya is is asking for blood donors with the blood type 0-.

Scores killed in Norway attack

Anders Behring Breivik, the 32-year-old suspect in Friday's attacks in Norway, held right-wing views, say police.

Police chief Sveinung Sponheim said his internet postings "suggest that he has some political traits directed toward the right, and anti-Muslim views".
"But whether that was a motivation for the actual act remains to be seen," he told Norwegian broadcaster NRK.

Little is currently known about him apart from what has appeared on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter - and these entries appear to have been set up just days ago. On the Facebook page attributed to him, he describes himself as a Christian and a conservative. The Facebook page is no longer available but it also listed interests such as body-building and freemasonry.

The gunman was described by witnesses who saw him on Utoeya island as tall and blond - and dressed in a police uniform. The image of him posted on Facebook depict a blond, blue-eyed man. The Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang quoted a friend as saying that the suspect turned to right-wing extremism when in his late 20s. The paper also said that he participated in online forums expressing strong nationalistic views.

Mr Breivik is thought to have studied at the Oslo Commerce School and his work is listed as Breivik Geofarm, a company Norwegian media is describing as a farming sole proprietorship. The company was set up to cultivate vegetables, melons, roots and tubers, Norway's TV2 says, and speculation in local media is rife that through such a link he may have had access to fertiliser, an ingredient used in bomb-making.

A Twitter account attributed to the suspect has also emerged but it only has one post, which is a quote from philosopher John Stuart Mill: "One person with a belief is equal to the force of 100,000 who have only interests."

As with his Facebook page, the tweet was posted on 17 July. It reveals very little about the man except an interest in libertarianism and a clear belief in the power of the individual.

Norwegian shooter linked to right-wing extremism

Update: Reuters is now reporting that according to a Norwegian television station, the shooter "has links to right-wing extremism."

As fresh information trickles in about the bombing of government buildings in Norway's capital of Oslo on Friday and the apparently related shootings at a summer camp for children of that country's governing Labor Party, it is becoming clear that these were not acts of international terrorism.

According to Haroon Siddique of the Guardian, who is live-blogging the tragedy, security correspondent Gordon Correra has stated on the BBC's Newsnight that "a youth rally is not a usual type of target for an Islamist terrorist - a factor which suggests the attacks may have been carried out by someone with a national agenda."

Norwegian police had previously confirmed that the suspect who was arrested at the youth camp, and who was also seen in Oslo prior to the bombings, is ethnically Norwegian.

Update: The alleged gunman has now been identified as Anders Behring Breivik. What appears to be his Facebook page lists his religious views as Christian and his political views as conservative. It lists a number of classical philosophical and literary works as his favorite books, cites True Blood and Stargate Universe as among his favorite television shows, and names World of Warcraft as among his favorite games.

According to a Google translation of a Norwegian news article, however, Breivik's current Facebook profile was created only recently, and he had a previous profile on which he expressed "controversial" right-wing opinions. He considered himself a "nationalist" and was strongly opposed to multiculturalism and to Islam.

Politicians and government officials from all of Norway’s political parties were reacting with claims of “shock” and “scandal” on Thursday to a TV2 report that the US Embassy in Oslo has conducted secret surveillance of hundreds of Norwegians over the past 10 years. The embassy reportedly employed former Norwegian police, intelligence and military experts to do the job.

Reaction has ranged from outrage to more moderate expressions of deep concern but many were calling the TV2 report of such surveillance, which many claim is illegal in Norway, a scandal.
US officials have confirmed the surveillance but claim Norwegian officials were informed about it. That’s disputed by Norway’s Foreign Ministry and its Justice Ministry, with Justice Minister Knut Storberget saying he has never been informed “of any form of surveillance activity” for American authorities.

‘Frightening
“To the degree this (TV2’s report) is true, it’s frightening information,” André Oktay Dahl, a member of the parliament’s justice committee for the Conservative Party, told newspaper Aftenposten.
At the other end of the political spectrum, Members of Parliament from the Socialist Left party (SV) called the reported surveillance a “scandal” for which the Americans and the Norwegians that the US Embassy hired must be held accountable.
“Norwegian citizens shall not be watched over by anyone other than our own institutions in accordance with strict Norwegian laws,” Chaudhry told Aftenposten. “Foreign powers shall not operate on their own.”

TV2 reported on its nightly national newscast Wednesday that the US Embassy, “in deepest secrecy,” built up a surveillance unit in Oslo over the past decade that systematically has kept hundreds of Norwegians under surveillance. Many of the Norwegians ultimately have unwittingly landed in a US terror register and likely will remain there for 25 years.
The embassy’s organization, called “Surveillance Detection Unit,” reportedly was set up in the spring of 2000 and operated from the sixth floor of the office building known as Handelsbygningen at Solli Plass, just a few hundred meters up the street from the embassy’s location on Henrik Ibsens Gate. After TV2 started asking questions, the unit reportedly was moved to a new, secret location where it remains in operation.
The unit reportedly has employed as many as 20 persons including retired Norwegian police and former military and intelligence experts. TV2 said it had identified around seven of the Norwegians working for the Americans.

Hours after bomb blasts shattered the holiday calm of downtown Oslo, a man arrived at Utoya island, 50 kilometres from the Norwegian capital, by ferry.

He was wearing a police uniform and packing several weapons, including at least one submachine gun and possibly a rifle.

The stranger beckoned to some of the 550 young people attending a summer camp organized by the youth wing of the ruling Labour Party.

“Come here,” he said, claiming he was performing a routine security check after a bomb blast hours earlier in downtown Oslo killed at least seven people and injured many others.

Once a sizeable group had gathered, the man — who looked like a typical Norwegian, with blond hair and spoke with an eastern Norwegian accent — said this was just the beginning and opened fire.

The campers, aged 15 to 25, scattered in panic, many throwing themselves in the water in an attempt to escape the island, which had no bridge to the mainland. Others cowered in nearby buildings.

Some survivors took to the woods, or hid in washrooms. They communicated with each other and their families via text messages, though families were warned not to call their children’s cellphones for fear of alerting the killer to their whereabouts.

Grethe Helen Larre told the British newspaper The Independent she watched the drama through binoculars from the mainland. “There were naked, pale bodies hiding behind bushes. A lot of people were in the water. They were swimming and trying to get away,” she said.

OSLO, July 22 (Reuters) - Undetonated explosives were found on an island where a gunman killed at least 10 people at a youth camp near Oslo, Norwegian police said on Friday.

"Explosives were found on the island," deputy Oslo police chief Sveining Sponheim told reporters. He said a man detained by police was aged 32 and "ethnic Norwegian".

This evening at the 19:00 bulletin on sky news there was a guy speaking about the possible long list of suspects for the bombing. He mentioned the usual Al-Qaeda, home grown terrorists and Libya etc.

But right at the end he said “that there is also people, (crackpots he called us) that believe that the banking system is being run by a Jewish cabal and they also believe that the UN are trying to set up a new world order” he said these people would be along the lines of Timothy McVeigh…

I have being trawling the web, you tube, and sky news for this video… i can not find it anywhere.. surly some one has this footage recorded on a sky box..

I think we need to find this… if I find it I will pass it on asap..and if you do please pass on also.

UPDATE: Oslo Police Conducted Bombing Exercise Days Before Terrorist Blast

Today’s bombing in Oslo and a related mass shooting that occurred just outside the Norwegian capital are already replete with inconsistencies and questions that demand further inquiry into whose agenda this deadly attack serves.

Authorities have already said that the man who carried out the shootings at a youth camp in a nearby resort has direct ties to the earlier bombing in Oslo of a government building.

- An eyewitness to the blast who was just 200 feet away from the explosion called into the Alex Jones show and stated that there was a “bomb sweep” of the area the day before the attack. Norwegian television also reported this story.

- According to a Norwegian who emailed us, his father who is an explosives expert has analyzed the bombing scene and states that due to the pattern of the damage and debris, the blast was clearly underground. There are also reports that the road was closed off in recent days for underground sewer works. This is inconsistent with the official story that the blast was caused by a car bomb.

- Friday was a public holiday in Norway and the building that was bombed was largely empty, which is why only seven people died. The Daily Mail reports, “Fortunately, it is a public holiday in Norway and the offices are less busy than a normal weekday.” Why would “terrorists,” who presumably want to kill as many people as possible, choose to bomb the building on a day when they know it will be almost empty?

- Reports that the culprit of the mass shooting at a Labour youth camp outside Oslo, who early indications show killed at least 25 people, was a blonde-haired Norwegian man, fit perfectly into the recent propaganda campaign to hype the “white Al-Qaeda” as the most deadly terror threat. Self-proclaimed security experts quoted by Reuters are already predicting the blame will “fall on both Islamists and right-wing extremists,” in some form of alliance that led to a “hybrid assault,” which in an of itself is a ludicrous notion but does serve to link anti-government sentiment amongst the host population with Muslim terrorism, which has been the goal all along.

- As Kurt Nimmo reports, the man accused of leading the group blamed by some for the bombing, Mullah Krekar, has had dealings with the CIA previously, having been approached to work with them in 2005. Members of Krekar’s group, Ansar al-Islam, are veterans of the CIA-ISI collaborative war against the Soviets in Afghanistan.

- Is the attack a slap on the wrist for Norwegian meddling in the globalist agenda? Norway is not a member of the European Union and its recent actions will have undoubtedly angered many of the power players amongst the global elite within that inner circle. Specifically, Norway’s support for full Palestinian statehood, set to be voted on at the UN in September, Norway’s decision to reverse its support for the bombardment of Libya and withdraw completely from the NATO operation on August 1, and Norway’s move to freeze a $42 million dollar payment to Greece, an obvious hindrance to recent efforts to prop up the country’s dire debt crisis, are all massive issues that could have caused a fall out between Norway and the Anglo-American establishment.

In yet another example of how almost every major terror event is accompanied by a security drill focused around the same scenario, Oslo police were conducting a bombing exercise at a location near the Oslo Opera House just 48 hours before a terrorist blast hit a government building in the Norwegian capital.

According to the translated version of an Aftenposten report, “Anti-terror police fired explosive charges at a training center in Oslo, two hundred meters from the Opera, but forgot to notify the public.”

The exercise occurred on Wednesday and revolved around anti-terror units attacking a disused building at the edge of Bjørvika pier with bombs and firearms.

“The men lowered themselves down from the roof and in through the window that had just been blown out, while they fired hand their weapons,” states the report, noting that the exercise was “dramatic,” produced “violent bangs,” and was watched by spectators at the nearby Opera House.

A video of the drill that accompanies the story shows police scaling the side of a building with an explosion going off below them before they enter the window and start firing.

Police had to publicly apologize today for not informing the public about the exercise.

Although it’s too early to judge the nature of this exercise, the fallback of a drill, which gives the state an excuse should any evidence of complicity in the real attack emerge, has been evident in previous major terror events, including both 7/7 and 9/11.

In the case of the London bombings, a consultancy agency with government and police connections was running an exercise for an unnamed company that revolved around the London Underground being bombed at the exact same times and locations as happened in real life on the morning of July 7th, a “coincidence” many skeptics of the official story have dismissed as a statistical impossibility.
