Deception comes from many angles and can be easily compounded upon itself many times. Perhaps the only way to discern which may be the right path for a person is through prayer. But with many religious topics, it's like convincing a partisan that democrats/republicans are bad. They'll hear none of it, even if it's true. And consider, regardless of what seems to 'make sense' on the surface, we should not be so full of ourselves that we can dictate terms of creation and salvation to God. Plus, keep in mind that the 'problems' we have are self-imposed. While our creator may well know what we are going to do - it's still our choice to make. You may question 'sacrifice' and things of that nature, but 'man' is what brought violence to the world or at least accepted it and made it an everyday event. But I do agree, that 'religion' is a problem, indeed. But as for me - I'll continue to serve the Lord of the Bible that I believe in - and religion has little place in my relationship with him. |
