2081
www.imdb.com/title/tt1282015/

A short film adaptation of Kurt Vonnegut's Harrison Bergeron, 2081 depicts a dystopian future in which, thanks to the 212th Amendment to the Constitution and the unceasing vigilance of the United States Handicapper General, everyone is "finally equal...."

The strong wear weights, the beautiful wear masks and the intelligent wear earpieces that fire off loud noises to keep them from taking unfair advantage of their brains.

It is a poetic tale of triumph and tragedy about a broken family, a brutal government, and an act of defiance that changes everything.

"All men are not created equal. It is the purpose of the Government to make them so." This is the premise of the Showtime film adaptation of Kurt Vonnegut's futuristic short story Harrison Bergeron. The film centers around a young man (Harrison) who is smarter than his peers, and is not affected by the usual "Handicapping" which is used to train all Americans so everyone is of equal intelligence

A truly amazing film - thank you!

I was impressed with the surreal nature of the film. Vonnegut demonstrates how absurd egalitarian education for the masses is. At the same time, selected elites bypass that system of physical and mental bondage for imposed isolation from the public and pseudo imprisonment. Here the elites are free to explore their own intellectual development, while managing the dumbing down of the general public.

The scary thing is, this is precisely what is occurring today in our schools and globalizing societies on the whole (minus the shackles as seen in the film). The Brave New World approach to egalitarianism for the masses that is in place today is much more subtle to the unseeing eye than Vonnegut's dystopia. Globalists, who are in control of education, use a bag of pedagogical tricks to entice young minds to gladly trade intellectual engagement for mediocrity. To help the process along, the educational package also includes student "facilitators" to disrupt classrooms. These facilitators come from organizations controlled by UN-UNESCO-NATO following the hidden educational agenda that supports the security of the Corporate State.

Interesting film.
