This warrants a polite "general discussion" and doesn't need to be deep-sixed by the moderator as it was the first time. Best of luck everyone!

In this Authors@Google video Jesse Ventura talks about his new book 63 Documents The Government Doesn't Want You To Read. During the discussion Ventura states that he is a "small L" libertarian unlike "big L" libertarians, who according to him, don't want any government at all. As far as I know that would be an anarchist; not a libertarian. Next, he conveys what I believe to be a naivety and an ignorance in regards to economics. He states that health care is a right and the government should provide for it. He further states that cutting spending is bad, while spending is good and is what makes for a good economy. Ventura also makes remarks like, "We need revolution; I'm talking Che Guevara". Guevara is referenced in a somewhat positive light prior that statement as well.

I like Ventura, however, I do not understand how one could argue that he should be Ron Paul's running mate. It sounds like he needs to be briefed on economics and the Bill of Rights. Rather than sounding like a "small L" libertarian, Ventura to me, sounds like a "small s" socialist.

I don't agree with Ventura here...

Corporate health care isn't a right, in my opinion....

You have a right to buy health care if you want to.

Then again, they have a right to refuse to sell it to you as well.

You have a responsibility to eat right, exercise and abstain from poisons like vaccines, artificial sweeteners and cigarettes.
