Near Fort Smith. Didn't feel a thing, by the way, assuming that they already blew it. I heard a rumble, but it's been thundering all day long.

Haha. Did you guys see that guy practicing his lines? That was hilarious. Yeah, that was weird. He was acting like he had lost it, and then they switched back to the news. Guess he didn't know he was live! I heard several blasts at 11:04pm EST before that, however. The guy said they will do the same tomorrow morning!

http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_SEVERE_WEATHER_FLOODING?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2011-05-02-23-33-00Army Corps breaks southeast Missouri leveeBy JIM SUHR and JIM SALTER Associated Press WYATT, Mo. (AP) -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers exploded a large section of a Mississippi River levee Monday in a desperate attempt to protect an Illinois town from rising floodwaters. The corps said the break in the Birds Point levee would help tiny Cairo, Ill., by diverting up to 4 feet of water off the river. Just before Monday night's explosions, river levels at Cairo were at historic highs and creating pressure on the floodwall protecting the town. For the Missouri side, the blasts were likely unleashing a muddy torrent into empty farm fields and around evacuated homes in Mississippi County...

Well it's filling up with river water ruining 16% of this nations most fertile farmland according to some around here. They're supposed to blow two more holes in the levee later on but it's been delayed for bad weather.....oh well life goes on..at least fault didn't go off..yet.

Like you said...not yet. One note, there are several dams along the two rivers that have been 'held back' from releasing pressure, they will have to be opened, meaning, more water, plus the rain in the last few days...it's not over.

The New Madrid is long overdue for an Earthquake.
Absolutely, since T Boone Pickens, Black and Veatch, General Electric, and Halliburton have been FRACKING the New Madrid fault line over the past 10 years! They are conducting a CONTROLLED DEMO of the NEW MADRID FAULT LINE to invoke earthquakes as part of the CSIS coup d'etat scheduled soon. At least that is according to occicial reports. The bonus is that the fracking is also increasing the radiation of the water supply from 2,000x to 100,000x the acceptable limit. So with all the fracking, bombing, HAARPing, and underground nuke testing...you are correct. It is long overdue that an earthquake occur from their 50-60 years of combined operations to commit a catastrophic event against the people of the United States of America. Good point, glad someone brought it up.

look at the video and put it side by side with the shock and awe attack on Iraq at night to kick off the genocide we have been engaged in for the past 8 years. The video is conditioning to get us used to those military style ordinances at night within the continental united states. Amazing how clever the illuminated incestuous royal nazi pieces of crapola are, huh?

There were temporary river waterfalls where the Mississippi ran backwards during 1811-12 earthquakes. It happened early on Feb. 7, 1812, when a thrust fault created a sudden dam several feet high in the bottom of the river loop near New Madrid.... http://www.showme.net/~fkeller/quake/mississippi_river_ran_backward.htm

If they keep this up, corn may be a better investment than silver.
CBOT Updates: Corn gains on bad weather Published on April 19, 2011 10:55 MUMBAI (Commodity Online): US corn futures finish higher on concerns about poor weather disrupting planting. Corn planting will stay "very slow" due to cool, wet conditions in the US Midwest and northern Plains this week, according to MDA EarthSat Weather.
A weekly government crop-progress report next Monday should confirm expectations seeding will not advance much this week, traders predict.
Today's report will likely show planting is 6%-10% complete, up from 3% last week, traders say. CBOT May corn ends up 9 3/4c at $7.51 3/4 a bushel.
