More conditioning for mass vaccinations.

The super-vaccine that beats ALL types of flu - and is 90 per cent effective
By FIONA MACRAE -  3rd January 2008
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/health/healthmain.html?in_article_id=505890&in_page_id=1774

'Holy grail': The new vaccine was 90 per cent effective in trials

A vaccine that could protect against all forms of flu has been developed by British scientists.

The "holy grail" of flu treatments, the jab would fight off everything from a winter virus to a bird flu outbreak.

Two injections could give long-lasting immunity, unlike the current vaccine which has to be given every year.

The jab, which has been developed by scientists at Cambridge biotech firm Acambis, may also work better than the existing jab, which only protects around three-quarters of those vaccinated.

The universal flu jab, which has just been tested on people for the first time, is also quicker and easier to make, meaning vast quantities could be stockpiled against a global outbreak of bird flu.

Flu kills up to 12,000 Britons each year, many of them elderly. But a pandemic of the human form of bird flu - which many believe is inevitable - could claim 700,000 lives in the UK alone.

Trials on humans show that the jab is safe, causing no side-effects other than the occasional red arm and high temperature associated with all vaccines.

The trials also show that it works fast to prime the immune system to produce antibodies capable of attacking the virus in up to 90 per cent of those tested.

The trials, carried out on healthy young adults in the U.S., follow animal experiments in which the jab saved the life of ferrets given a dose of flu strong enough to kill them five times over. Seventy per cent of vaccinated animals survived - but all those not given the vaccine perished.

Scientists at Acambis are working on perfecting the formulation and dose, ahead of larger scale human trials.

It is thought that two doses a month apart could protect against the bug for many years.

The vaccine will also be quicker and easier to make than the current version which is grown in hen's eggs - a time-consuming process that yields one shot of vaccine per egg.

The new vaccine is grown in huge vats with only two pints of liquid providing 10,000 doses. Normally, the vaccine would have to go through another five years of human trials before going on the market.

However, if a bird flu pandemic occurs, it could be made available more quickly.

Dr Michael Watson, of Acambis, said: "Our approach is very simple, it just churns out the vaccine. It is a very elegant approach to production."

The flu jabs already in use focus on two proteins on the surface of the virus. However, these constantly mutate, making it impossible for manufacturers to keep up with the creation of each new strain, be it winter flu or bird flu.

The new vaccine, called ACAMFLU-A, is based around a different protein, called M2, which has barely changed during the last 100 years.

Crucially, it is found in all types of influenza A, including winter flu and the H5N1 bird flu virus.

So lucrative is the market at least two other companies - including British-based biotech firm PepTcell and Swiss vaccine developers Cytos - are also racing to create a universal jab.

However, the Acambis version is one of the few to have reached the stage of being tested on humans.

John Oxford, Britain's leading flu expert, said: "There is nothing wrong with having a holy grail, something to aim for. If this can be grasped, it would be a wonderful beginning to the new year."

Professor Oxford, of Queen Mary's School of Medicine in Lonsomedon, added: "Several groups are working on this and one group might have a slightly different formulation and hit the jackpot."

Professor Ian Jones, a University of Reading virologist, said the jab could end the "scramble" to produce a new winter jab each year.

Cautioning that it is still years from the market, he added: "The fact that the vaccine is safe and appears to raise protective antibodies is very encouraging although larger trials and tests on a wider range of viruses will be needed before the full potential for pandemic protection can be assured."

News of Acamabis's trials comes only weeks after the inventor of the current flu jab warned it does not guarantee protection. Dr Graeme Laver said the jab left one in four of those vaccinated still be at risk of catching flu.

Talking of the vaccine which he co-developed more than 40 years ago, the Australian said: "I have never been very impressed with its efficacy. It it better than nothing and I wouldn't want to advise people not to take it, but you can't rely on it."

He added that best way to protect public health was to make drugs which fight the virus once it has struck, such as Tamiflu and Relenza.

Dang, I got to get me one of them "holy grail" of flu shots! A kill success ratio of 90% is just what the doctor ordered.

Don't take it!  Don't take it!  You may not get the flu but cancer and autoimmune diseases, etc. will be the consequence!

Sounds to me like a 'get vaccinated everyone, you won't catch bird flu if you do! (but you'll definitely die from this top secret virus we're going to release, and this vaccine will make sure it's activated in you....) type of cobblers to me.

That was something like the last number I saw for the US, like a hundred or two people died from the flu.

12,000 is simply ludicrous.

12,000 is simply ludicrous.

The CDC (in the US) has been found to grossly exaggerate the number of flu deaths. Refer the following:

http://www.care2.com/news/member/917414322/553320
"You may also be shocked to learn that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) grossly distorts the facts about flu deaths. If you go to the CDC’s main flu page, you’ll see their statistic that about 36,000 people die from the flu in the United States each year.

But if you search a little harder, you can find the actual number of people who died from the flu in 2005 (this is the most recent data that’s available). Want to take a guess at what it is?

In 2005, 1,806 people died from influenza, not 36,000. And in 2004, there were just 1,100 flu deaths.

The statistics the CDC gives are skewed partly because they classify those dying from pneumonia as dying from the flu, which is not at all true or accurate. For instance, their 2005 statistics lump influenza and pneumonia deaths together, at 62,804 deaths.

But broken down, there were 60,998 deaths from pneumonia and just 1,806 from the flu.

AND:
Some hard-hitting evidence released just a couple of months ago should make anyone think twice about the flu shot: flu vaccines have NEVER been proven to prevent flu-related deaths in people over age 65, which is one of the primary groups for which they’re recommended.

I think the flu vaccine, as with all the other vaccines, is another money making scheme for the pharmaceutical corps, an obvious statement I know, but probably true. When I was at school, back in the 80's, we had a big vaccination called the BCG (I think), to prevent TB and something else which I can't remember, somehow I never got mine. A few years ago an African bloke I worked with caught TB and was extremely ill. I was in quite close contact with this fella and guess what !! That's right I didn't catch it, nor did anyone else and I thought TB was very contagious.

Disgraced Former FDA Official Marketing Lilly Drug

Disgraced Former FDA Official Now Marketing Lilly Drug

As a 33-year-old Wall Street insider known for recommending hot medical stocks, many were surprised when physician Scott Gottlieb was named FDA deputy commissioner for medical and scientific affairs in 2005.

"Gottlieb has an orientation which belies the goal of the FDA," said Dr. Jerome Kassirer, former editor of The New England Journal of Medicine.

"The appointment comes out of nowhere," said former FDA Commissioner Donald Kennedy.

"Anything but a reassuring signal," said Time magazine.

As critics feared, soon after assuming the number two FDA position, Gottlieb had to recuse himself from resource planning for a possible bird flu epidemic because of financial ties to Roche and Sanofi-Aventis. He also had to bow out of work related to Eli Lilly, Proctor & Gamble and five other drug companies.

When three people in a multiple sclerosis drug trial lost blood platelets and one died, he called stopping the study "an overreaction" because the disease not the drug might be to blame.

And when FDA scientists rejected Pfizer's osteoporosis drug candidate Oporia, forecast to earn $1 billion a year, underlings received accusatory emails from Gottlieb.

His on-to-Wall-Street approach succeeded in rushing Chantix, Pfizer's stop smoking drug, varenicline, to market but a string of 2006 suicides and the violent death of Dallas musician Carter Albrecht leave many asking if that was such a good thing.

"The truth is, the FDA's required trials reveal limited information," Gottlieb wrote presciently in an oped in the Chicago Tribune in 2005. "In many cases, it is only after...drugs are on the market for many years and given to thousands of patients that their true benefits (sic.) are revealed."

Gottlieb even trashed the definitive Women's Health Initiative (WHI) study that found hormone replacement therapy (HRT) was bad nor good for women's health saying the results "were rushed to print with a cleverly orchestrated PR blitz."

Now that he's left the FDA, Gottlieb is helping sell Lilly's osteoporosis drug Evista which the company was convicted in 2005 of marketing, off label, for anti cancer and heart disease purposes.

Since Evista has now been approved to reduce the risk of developing some breast cancers writes Gottlieb in an angry oped in the Wall Street Journal in December, doesn't that transform Lilly's "speech 'crime,' by some measures, into a public service?"

Penalizing Lilly's off-label promotion of Evista may have proved "fatal" for "patients and doctors who rely on the latest clinical information to make hard decisions," Gottlieb says implying physicians are lost without input from drug reps with Bachelor of Science degrees.

But of course this is not the first time Lilly has had "free speech" problems.

In October, the FDA told Lilly to stop falsely claiming antidepressant Cymbalta produced "significantly less pain interference with overall functioning" and start mentioning its side effect of liver toxicity.

And documents from its Viva Zyprexa campaign show Lilly marketed the atypical antipsychotic for off label use among elderly patients though an increased risk of death in older patients is a warning on its own label.

Nor is Evista a misunderstood wonder drug.

Launched in 1998 to disappointing results, Justice Department documents reveal Lilly brand managers decided to market off label uses for Evista to boost sales.

And when 20 million women quit HRT in the early 2000's, marketing Evista (raloxifene), a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM), as a kind of anti estrogen or good estrogen made sense.

Like HRT, researchers hinted Evista was an all purpose, youth giving drug, not just preventing and treating osteoporosis but reducing the risk of some types of breast cancer and heart attack, stroke or other cardiovascular problems in at risk patients.

Dr. Elizabeth Barrett-Connor, head of epidemiology at the University of California, San Diego called a 2002 Evista study, "exciting because it offers new hope in treating heart disease, the biggest killer of women, while at the same time strengthening their bones."

Barrett-Connor also assured the public that hormone therapy had "no significant effect on the risk for stroke among postmenopausal women with coronary disease" in an article in the American Heart Association's journal, Circulation, in 2001, paid for by hormone maker Wyeth-Ayerst Research.

Unfortunately, Evista is a little too much like HRT, which, contrary to what appeared in Circulation, causes a 26 percent increased risk of breast cancer, 29 percent increased risk of heart attack, 41 percent increased risk of stroke, and 100 percent increased risk of blood clots according to WHI figures.

Not only does Evista cause lethal blood clots--its warning label says "Increased risk of Venous Thromboembolism and Death From Stroke"--it increases the risk of ovarian cancer say some clinicians.

"Evista induces ovarian cancer in both mice and rats," wrote Dr. Samuel S. Epstein, professor of environmental medicine at the University of Illinois School of Public Health in the Chicago Tribune in 1998. "Furthermore, carcinogenic effects were noted at dosages well below the recommended therapeutic level."

In 2001 scientists at the University of Southern California also found Evista stimulated the growth of ovarian cancer cells.

"In breast and uterine cancer it does not appear to be a problem; in ovarian cancer it may stimulate the cells," said Dr. Richard Paulson, a professor of obstetrics and gynecology referring to laboratory studies.

Evista advertising is also like HRT, relying on ageism, sexism and fear-mongering to sell product with the patronizing tag line, Protect Her Bones Protect Her Breasts, and a female model symbolically covering her breasts with her arms.

No, off label marketing of Evista is not a public service. But Gottlieb's departure from the FDA might be.

Not all vaccines are bad. Tetanus is a bitch, I wouldn't like to go without it if I needed it.
Rabies is pretty scary. If you were bitten by a bat or something would you turn it down? There's no other cure and it's guaranteed death.
Tuberculosis is a bitch too. It's all over the 3rd world and vaccines there for it made with a bovine strain or something are said by the CDC to not work, but tests in the 3rd world show they work and the tests in the US show people have immune systems with show protection against TB proteins.

The flu vaccines I don't know much about, much less this one which seems to be more hype than substance.

http://www.livevideo.com/video/52AE5E9B39F843DF9B681162C7B7D6D7/vaccines-the-risks-benefits-.aspx

The last tetanus shot I had gave me a really nasty reaction. High fever, swollen and very painful arm. I'm not getting another.
Rabies: if I got this I think I'd be begging for what ever poison they had regardless of the risk.
TB: Pretty scary, but 98% of the strains are treatable with first line or second line antibiotics. I wouldn't want to be on them for the full 6 to 12 months though that would really mess you up.

Well, I hope you won't be rolling up your sleeve for a vaccine for "bird flu" when/if a supposed pandemic is announced, given that we know the criminal elite want to reduce the population significantly, that they have a track record of putting the man-made AIDS virus in vaccines, mercury, aluminium and Merck has admitted injecting cancer viruses (SV40 and others) into millions via vaccines?

Hey that video was actually pretty good.
It needs to be in 1 part instead of 14. It's a little dry and the chime sound wtf?
But the content is good.
It seems like most of the vaccines she covers are a solution in search of a problem and their safety concerns should be raised.
The medical industrial pharma complex is a beast just like the military industrial complex... They put junk out there and get the government to almost force you to take it, the vaccines she covered are shit and provide varying levels of benefit from zero to little while causing health problems of their own.

I admire her approach, she looks in detail at each individual vaccine to expose the merits. I think it comes down to risk assessment. If you force people to take these vaccines that provide no benefit to them but cause potential side effects it's just stupid. But if you get bitten by a rabid animal you better take the vaccine. Unless she does a risk assessment on the rabies vaccine that ends up looking like these.

All the evidence I've seen though, including the sv40 shows incompetence and greed but so far no NWO conspiracy yet. I'm sure they could introduce something on purpose in the future though.

You've seen no NWO conspiracy yet?!  Shocked Well if cancer viruses in vaccines is not obvious enough for you, watch The Strecker Memorandum, which convincingly demonstrates in my opinion, that AIDS was not only man-made, but included in vaccines to kill deliberately:

The Strecker Memorandum

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6068096409136912010
The Strecker Memorandum is a 96 minute Video Tape and one of the most controversial video tapes you will ever see. Robert B. Strecker M.D.  ... all » PhD, presents with document evidence the Truth about AIDS being a Man-Made Disease. In his video he lectures how the AIDS Virus was Predicted, Requested, Created and introduced into human population through Medical Injection Programs. Dr. Strecker practices Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology in Los Angeles as a trained pathologist, with a PhD in Pharmacology.

sv40 and other viruses linked to cancer were in vaccines without their knowledge and before they knew it was linked to cancer... It was the 1950's... Sure they decided to hide the problem after it was pointed out to them but that doesn't show intent to cull population, they had plenty of motives to ignore it.  Also while cancer rates have increased, they haven't decreased the population.

Quite honestly even AIDS is not as big a problem as it is made out to be, is a horribly inefficient tool for population control and many treatments are available.

Thanks! It really gave me a shock when I saw it. I'm working on a single DivX version now that anyone can download. It is very dry but she is a professional and wants to be taken seriously by other professionals (if a concerned parent passed on the video to their pediatrician for example). I think there is a workbook that comes along with the DVD and the chime sound is to help you know when you are at a new section or page, I'm just guessing though.

Did you notice the "Columbine/Basketball Diaries/Matrix" MK Ultra scene in front of grand central station?  Absolutely no need for that scene, but it sets up a perfect MK Ultra patsy.

(Omega Man) - I had to take my little brother out the cinema and I wasn't exactly unnerved. The only other film/TV thats ever even slightly bothered me was the Doctor Who series with the shop dummies and guns up their wrists.

Weird what bothers you sometimes.

Do you seriously believe if they were put in deliberately that those responsible would say publicly, "Yes, we put that SV40 and the other potentially dangerous viruses in the vaccines knowingly"? Of course they wouldn't! There are plenty of indicators however, that this contamination was done on purpose.

"The polio vaccine administered to thirty million Americans during the late fifties and early sixties was  contaminated with the monkey virus SV40. This is believed to be responsible for an epidemic of cancers.(64) When SV40 was discovered in rhesus monkey kidney cells during the early 1960s, the manufacturers switched rapidly to cells from African green monkeys. However Dr John Martin, an FDA scientist discovered in 1972 that these cells were also contaminated, this time with a cytomegalovirus. To date his requests to have the vaccine properly tested have gone unanswered by the FDA because the manufacturers can hide behind 'proprietary interests'. Dr Martin now works as an independent researcher studying the role of this 'stealth' virus in whole range of chronic debilitating illnesses. (65)

Excellent response! What these things are also is experimental biowarfare. Even if one cannot come to the belief we are purposely being exterminated, what is proven is we are being experimented on, time and time again. No denials are possibe because of heavy documentation.

We are also being sterilized, ( humanity) without our consent and have been since the early 1900's. There are studies on Philipino and Mexican women who were being given tetanus with hormones that prohibit pregnancy, 'mistakenly' got in there, hmmn...

I highly suspect that sterility drugs would have found their way into the HPV vaccine had it become mandated.

Den Carts, really there is so much info out there on this topic I suggest further research, the WHO and NWO has been infecting people, especially in Africa with disease and sterililizing them through vaccines, it IS TRUE.

I read the other day there was a vaccine for shingles.
I am at an age to get that probably, and I have had chicken pox.

Does anyone have an opinion on whether to get this?  I really don't want to.

well if you are an agent of the FDA, DEA, NSA, SS, or Pharma, I would say "consult your Pharma bribed doctor."

But, if you are interested in a low mortality rate, I would say "research how Pharma puts AIDS, cancer, mercury, and other fun items in vaccine shots from Doctors that know about it."

The only reason I am concerned is some people go blind after getting rashes in eyes.  I would put up with pain and itching of shingles. Undecided

I do not understand, you think that you are going to get shingles without a vaccine?

Kind of like women are going to get cancer without the HPV vaccine that causes cancer, death, neural diseases and HPV?

Is that what your concern is?

Redbird,
What age are we talking about? Most people do not get shingles and its usually caused by an onset of other autoimmune issues.
Shingles is not that common but does happen to older people sometimes and they manage.
Read up on vaccines before you make any decisions because 1. vaccines dont guarantee immunity. 2. Vaccines can cause oher complicatons and other illnesses 3. All the inventors of vaccines consider them archaiic medicine, a bad form of medicine, completely outdated, something akin to leeches. Big pharma loves vaccines, big money makers. Read above what the inventor of this vaccine says at the bottom of the article, HE DOESNT EVEN BELIEVE IN IT! HA!

I see it now they make the perfect vaccine that is 90% effective, so hey why not get, it i mean it for sure works then BAM 10 years later you sterile then in 40 years you get cancer.  The perfect vaccine is the scariest one of all in my opinion.

Vitamin B12 can help some with shingles if you get it, and Vitamin C and E.  Keep your levels of vitamins up.

For example, refer:

Sounds to me like a 'get vaccinated everyone, you won't catch bird flu if you do! (but you'll definitely die from this top secret virus we're going to release, and this vaccine will make sure it's activated in you....) type of cobblers to me.

uk   gov   proper  ganda
Since the 2006/07 season the national policy has been extended to include patients with diabetes who control their diabetes with diet alone, along with individuals with chronic neurological disease, multiple sclerosis and related conditions and hereditary and degenerative disease of the central nervous system (see below).8 According to the influenza immunisation program 2007/08, influenza vaccination should be offered to8:
   1.   All those aged 65 and over
   2.   All those aged 6 months and over in a clinical risk group*
   3.   Those living in long-stay residential care homes or other long-stay care facilities where rapid spread is likely to follow introduction of infection and cause high morbidity and mortality(this does not include prisons, young offender institutions, university halls of residence etc)
   4.   Those who are in receipt of a carerís allowance or those who are the main carer for an elderly or disabled person whose welfare may be at risk if the carer falls ill. This should be given on an individual basis at the GPís discretion in the context of other clinical risk groups in their practice

*clinical risk groups are defined as those with:
   •   Chronic respiratory disease, including asthma
   •   Chronic heart disease
   •   Chronic renal disease
   •   Chronic liver disease
   •   Chronic neurological disease, including stroke and transient ischaemic attack (TIA)
   •   Diabetes, type 1 and type 2 requiring insulin or oral hypoglycaemic drugs and diet controlled diabetes
   •   Immunosuppression due to disease or treatment

As well as offering flu vaccine to people in the groups above, GPs should take into consideration the risk of influenza infection exacerbating any underlying disease that a patient may have, as well as the risk of serious illness from influenza itself. GPs should also assess, for example, the clinical needs of individuals with multiple sclerosis and related diseases, or hereditary and degenerative diseases of the Central Nervous System.
Note: Target groups are generally consistent throughout the UK, however, there is some variation in implementing strategies across the four nations.
