I'm sick of knowing there's poison in my water and I'm not too fond of the idea of rubbing poison on my teeth. What water do you drink? Im assuming most here filter instead of buying bottled. What filter do you use? Where do you get poison free toothpaste? Healthstores? Thanks

I drink reverse osmosis water and I use TOM'S fluoride-free toothpaste ... or baking soda. My main concern with fluoride now is that it is in the food (even 'fresh' vegetables) from the city water sources.

I stopped using tooth paste. I just use a little mouthwash and brush with that. My last cleaning was the easiest and quickest I've ever had. Strange but true, and more than a little interesting.

colloidal silver makes a very good tooth cleaner for me, as it keeps the gums healthy and attacks plaque, which, correct me if I am wrong, is a form of oral yeast.

I use a water filter. I would recommend Crystal Quest. They have high quality filters in a variety of forms - counter top and under the counter for drinking water, shower and bath filters, and whole house filters. You can get cheaper filters, but they don't last as long and, in my opinion, they are not as good. My toothpaste is Spry. I get it at the health food store or you can get it online. It is sweetened with xylitol which prevents tooth decay.
Hope that helps.

Bunker Oil - Liquid Torque

I use 2, 5 stage RO systems, combined to increase flow rate, along with a booster pump. House water pressure was around 40 psi, and with the booster the RO membranes work at almost 100PSI for a bit better efficiency, which means less waste-water. I also installed a Permeate Pump, which gives a very close 1:1 ratio of Clean to Waste water, but is a little harder on the membranes. Each system uses a Dow Filmtec 100GPD Membrane. Another thing to consider, scrap your Polycarbonate 5 gallon water jug, and get a glass carboy used for wine making if you have a water dispenser. Ends up being very heavy when full, but no more Bisphenol-A leeching into that nice clean water.

I recently purchased a Berkey water filter, and I'm impressed with the results thus far. I also use Kiss My Face either whitening or triple action.

We use or make our own steam-distilled water. I have used distilled for decades and it does not leach the bones of minerals. I have bone density tests done due to hypothyroidism and have never shown anything but very healthy bones. I do supplement with colloidal minerals all this time, however. We look for fluoride-free toothpaste. Tom's of Maine is one. I like to use a little baking soda & hydrogen peroxide. Love, e

I usually drink Distilled water, though radiation is an issue with city water.
I like Tom's toothpaste from Maine. Non-Fluoridated.

I've lived in Vermont for the past 10 or so years - until recently where I've found myself back in MA. In Vermont I was drinking my own water out of a ground well. 100% natural and clean, and tasted great! I have no idea what's in the town water here. I would love to know; but have no idea how to find out. I just wish it was presently possible to move back to the hills. As for toothpaste... I read an article once about what people do in other lands to take care of their teeth. One African area rubs their teeth with a small stick from a particular tree, and you should see how white and healthy their teeth and gums are. Other lands use different things. So toothpaste, toothbrushes, they are all just convenient; but not necessities. I'm using a toothbrush but not toothpaste. I was using Tom's of Main until I read the tube and saw fluoride in the ingredients. They have a non fluoride version; but I haven't seen it. So I've found myself swishing different things around in my mouth after I brush with a brush and water. A little white vinegar in water swished in the mouth for a minute does wonders and feels GREAT. I've also used a water baking powder mixture. Again, makes your mouth feel good. If you can add some mint extract, even better. There are a lot of home-made toothpaste alternatives if you search the net. You can cook up a toothpaste with water, corn starch, a little baking powder, mint extract, and a little olive oil or melaleuca oil. Add some honey for sweetness. Nummy nummy! As long as you wash your toothbrush good with dish soap or shampoo after brushing without toothpaste, the brush won't build up bad bacteria. But I try to be as self sufficient as possible. I also shave with a straight razor and olive oil and never have to buy blades or cream unless I want a new Str8. Go to StraightRazorPlace - com for that. This isn't a spam, just a helpful recommendation. I have nothing to sell.

Sorry to hear you are back in the Commonwealth Of Massachusetts--you have my sympathies. I am your neighbor to the north, in New Hampshire. Welcome to Prison Planet Forum! If I am not mistaken, you can get your water tested at a local university. I know, in NH you can get your water tested by the University. It wouldn't hurt to give them a call and ask if they can do it or if not, refer you to someone who can.

Right now I drink Nestle Pure Life bottled water because its been tested by various independent water testing groups for high quality.
I also just brush my teeth with baking soda. It kills bacteria on contact, its alkaline so it neutralizes the acid that the bacteria produce which corrodes your teeth and its completely non toxic unlike fluoride tooth paste.

bottled water in plastic is poison also. even glass bottles have bpa resin in the caps. you can buy 1 gallon apple juice bottles and use leather or something natural as a lid. periobrite is good toothpaste. baking soda is good toothpaste. you can add any other refreshing germ killing ingredient to baking soda. even soap is good. brushing teeth is not as important as the collectivists/government say it is. http://www.curetoothdecay.com/

Brush our teeth with peroxide. The daughter wrote a paper for college chemistry on fluoride, showing even the American Dental Association (ADA) data cannot support ADA claims re fluoride in the water… or toothpaste… professor not too happy…

In a survivalist situation a water distiller that can be run by a camp fire might be your best bet [/quote] definitely. i live on the coast, a non electric distiller can distill salt water. now that is an endless supply of water. distillers do not purify VOC's though, the VOC's are light enough to evaporate. that can be solved by running the water through carbon, or a berkley filter. if you want to know whats in your tap try a distiller, they are a pain to clean. distillers leave smelly brownish gunk at the bottom that builds up fast use after use. and ocean water would be even worse. http://www.clearchoicewater.com/English_Site/Y2KProducts/Y2KFireDistiller.htm

It has a activated carbon filter on it as well to filter out the VOC's.

electric home distillers kind of suck though. they use tons of electricity, and with the green police taxing your ass that could hurt even more in the future. they are a pain to clean also, and you have to replace those little carbon filters, which are not very good quality. make sure you do not open up the distiller before its done cooling otherwise you will breath toxic fumes. r.o. seems easier to me. put that pure water in glass or pottery water pitchers also.
