Nuclear power plants are, in fact, life-threatening wherever they are -- they represent the most dangerous way to boil water ever devised.
Wind, solar and geothermal energy and other forms of safe, clean power would not cause massive deadly damage because of an earthquake.
i hope you are implying this is a subversion into the climate agenda

Any symbolism with it?
I do not believe in numerology, but it is safe to say the Globalist do. Today is the 7th anniversary of the Madrid train bombings. On that particular date (3/11/04), it was 911 days from 9/11/01. If you have not prepared your bug out bags ... do so now. You may not need them, but will be glad you have them when you DO need them. Disasters strike without warning. Be prepared. I am getting prepared myself. Need to pick up a few more things, and get my subaru fixed up a bit. It's not cheap to be prepared either, that is why it's taken me a couple months so far to do so.

From the BBC just now:
The situation at the nuclear reactor at Fukushima seems to be worsening. Japanese authorities are now to release radioactive vapour to ease pressure, AP news agency reports. Engineers are trying to fix the cooling system to the main reactor, damaged in the quake.

Japan to release slightly radioactive vapor at disabled reactor Japanese authorities will release slightly radioactive vapor to release pressure at a disabled nuclear power plant reactor near Tokyo . Japan's nuclear safety agency said pressure inside one of six boiling water reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi plant had risen to 1.5 times the level considered normal, the Associated Press reports. The agency says the radioactive element in the vapor would not affect the environment or human health. Officials have declared Japan's first ever nuclear emergency and ordered the evacuation of 3,000 nearby residents as a precaution. The 40-year-old plant, located in Onahama city, about 170 miles northeast of Tokyo, is not leaking radiation. ''We have a situation where one of the reactors (of the plant) cannot be cooled down,'' top government spokesman Yukio Edano tells reporters, the Kyodo news agency report. http://content.usatoday.com/communities/ondeadline/post/2011/03/japan-to-release-radioactive-vapor-at-disabled-nuclear-reactor/1

I'll add that Alex has been saying the difference between a 8 and a 9 (for example) is that a 9 is twice as powerful as an 8... that's incorect, it's actually 32 times as powerful.

http://www.ccdem.net/home/nle11NLE11 National Level Exercise NLE 2011 Private Sector ParticipationNational Level Exercise NLE 2011 will be an operations-based exercise centered on the scenario of a catastrophic earthquake in the New Madrid Seismic Zone, encompassing four FEMA Regions (IV, V, VI and VII) and eight Central U.S. Earthquake States: Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi, Missouri and Tennessee. NLE 2011 will exercise initial incident response and recovery capabilities, to test and validate existing plans, policies and procedures to include the New Madrid Catastrophic Plan (currently under development). NLE 2011 will be conducted in May 2011. Update: The NLE 2011 will be conducted on May 16th - 20th, 2011. Scenario: On 16 May 2011, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) confirmed that a catastrophic earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 occurred on the southwestern segment of the New Madrid Seismic Zone (NMSZ), with an epicenter at Marked Tree, AR (to the northwest of Memphis, TN). A second large earthquake with magnitude of 6.0 occurred a short time later on the Wabash Valley Seismic Zone (WVSZ), with an epicenter near Mt. Carmel, IN. Arkansas Exercise Objectives: EOC Management - Demonstrate the State's and Counties ability as outlined in jurisdictional plans to effectively manage a catastrophic earthquake event through multi-agency coordination by activating and mobilizing Emergency Support Functions (ESFs), intrastate and interstate mutual aid agreements (MAAs), and Federal aid.Critical Resource Logistics and Distribution - Demonstrate the State's and Counties ability as outlined in jurisdictional plans to access and establish points of distribution (PODs), State Staging Areas (SSA), Incident Support Base (ISB), and reception centers to receive and distribute critical resource supplies, equipment, and personnel to affected areas throughout the State, including hazardous materials (HazMat) and search and rescue (SAR) resources. Emergency Public Information and Warning - Demonstrate the capability of the State's and Counties public information officer(s) to coordinate with Federal, State, local, private sector, and nongovernmental agencies for the formulation and dissemination of clear, accurate, and consistent information to the public and media and to establish a Joint Information Center (JIC) to monitor media contacts and conduct press briefings. Mass Care - Demonstrate the effectiveness of the State's and Counties written plans, policies, and procedures for providing mass care services: sheltering, staffing, feeding, and bulk distribution for the general and special needs population, service animals, and companion animals throughout the affected area in order to obtain access to medical care, physical assistance, shelter, and other essential services. Communications - Demonstrate the ability as outlined in jurisdictional plans to access, establish, and maintain a continuous flow of communications among multiple jurisdictions, agencies, governmental officials, and the private sector for the duration of the emergency while utilizing redundant interoperable voice and data communications systems needed to support mission critical lifesaving and sustaining operations. Citizens Evacuation and Shelter-In-Place - Demonstrate the State's and Counties ability as outlined in jurisdictional plans to ensure affected at-risk populations are safely sheltered-in-place and/or evacuated to safe areas in order to obtain access to medical care, physical assistance, shelter, and other essential needs and safely re-entered into the affected area. Crawford County Exercise #1: NIMS Personnel Credentialling Exercise Coordinator: Steven Gann Exercise Assistant Coordinator: Dennis Gilstrap Recommended NIMS Personnel Credentialing ProcessWhen a request for mutual aid is received, the potential supporting department or agency evaluates its capacity to accommodate the anticipated loss of the resources that would be deployed without compromising mission performance (e.g., can a sheriff's department, emergency medical service, fire department, search and rescue, medical reserve corp, etc., allow 20 percent of its equipment and personnel to be deployed to another jurisdiction for 30 days and still meet its own community’s needs?). If the potential supporting department or agency determines that it can accommodate the requested deployment of resources, it must next identify specific personnel who will be deployed. The department or agency then submits applications for each member selected for deployment to an authorized accrediting agency identified by the credentialing authority of the State to which the mutual aid will be provided. The accrediting agency evaluates each application and determines whether the applicant meets the established criteria for the positions required by the mission. Applications that the authorized accrediting agency determines fail to meet established criteria are returned to the submitting department or agency, and may be resubmitted with additional documentation or when the applicant’s qualifications change. For applications that are approved by the authorized accrediting agency, the following steps are taken: The applicant’s department or agency is notified. A record is created on the individual in the official credentialing database. An identification card or other credential is issued to the individual. (The identification card or credential should include an expiration date and be reissued as appropriate.) Information on the applicant is uploaded to the incident management infrastructure. With a federally overseen exercise to test the nation’s “earthquake response readiness” coming in May 2011, the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency this week will participate in a preliminary workshop to prepare for one of the most massive drills of its type in state history. It’s been almost 200 years since a series of massive earthquakes began on Dec. 16, 1811, and violently shook northeast Arkansas, southeast Missouri and northwest Tennessee. Now called the 1811-12 New Madrid Earthquakes, the quartet of ground-shaking quakes was so powerful that the mighty Mississippi River appeared to run backwards, creating what is now known as Reelfoot Lake. To recognize the 200th anniversary of the quakes, the Federal Emergency Management Agency and eight states will conduct National Level Exercise 2011 in May. On the state level, TEMA and officials with, among others, FEMA, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Earthquake Consortium, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Tennessee Department of Transportation and FedEx will meet Tuesday through Friday this week in downtown Nashville for a Resource Allocation Workshop. At the time of the 1811-12 New Madrid Earthquakes, the area affected was no more populated with buildings and people than parts of Alaska today, while the commercial transport of goods and agricultural products from one side of the Mississippi to the other was accomplished strictly by boat. Fast forward two centuries later and the region is vastly different, with each “half” of the nation depending, in part, on huge bridges spanning the big river and allowing the transportation of everything from office furniture to soy beans. Quakes similar to those 200 years ago could devastate St. Louis and Memphis, while the U.S. could effectively be severed in half, its citizens able to span the Mississippi only by air. “This is significant for Middle Tennessee because the region will be a focal point for supply deployment [in the event of a catastrophic earthquake],” said Jeremy Heidt, TEMA spokesman. Heidt said the aftermath of May’s flood saw about 200 tractor trailer loads of supplies enter the state per week for the first two weeks after the devastation. “We would expect 1,500 tractor trailer loads per day and with emergency supplies [including food, water and fuel] if a catastrophic earthquake of 7.0 or above on the Richter scale hit,” he said. TEMA’s current effort, more than two years in the making, will lead to a variety of exercises next year, culminating with the National Level Exercise 2011. For example, Earthquake Awareness Week in Tennessee will be recognized in February. And on April 28, the state will be part of the Great Central U.S. ShakeOut.“There’s lot of planning going on,” Heidt said. “We're having regular meetings almost weekly with various committees related to the exercise or planning. There are a lot of moving pieces to preparing for a catastrophic disaster and for a big exercise like this.”Heidt said a massive quake along the New Madrid Seismic Zone could directly affect the eight states participating. “They’ll all be asking for the same things,” he said. “How do we decide who should get what first and where should it come from? Search and rescue teams will be at a premium. Imagine all the stuff trying to get into Haiti following that earthquake. In the U.S., there will be approximately 14 million people in the impact region.”Heidt said officials conservatively estimate, based on computer models, the number of deaths in Tennessee alone to be between 2,000 and 4,000. “When you start looking at the potential impact for this, the scenarios are almost apocalyptic as to what it means to the country,” he said. “Power grids could be out for weeks.”Heidt referenced the China earthquake in 2008, which registered 8.0 on the Richter scale. About 69,000 people were killed with another approximately 18,000 listed as missing. “Fuel lines, natural gas lines, electricity lines … a lot of it goes through Memphis,” he said. National Level Exercise 2011 will be the first national drill combining federal, state and local agencies to focus on a natural hazard. Previous large-scale exercises have focused on terrorism following the Sept. 11 attacks. “After Katrina, we realized we needed a more robust plan for a catastrophic disaster,” Heidt said. “The May flood was the closest we’ve come.”

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2011/03/11/BAEU1I9993.DTL&tsp=1SAN FRANCISCO -- The horrific tsunami that washed away buildings in Japan also damaged Northern California harbors this morning, wrecking boats and docks from Santa Cruz to the Oregon border. Damage was minimized because the tsunami hit the West Coast during low tide, but emergency officials are warning that the worst may still come. The first waves hit Crescent City (Del Norte County) shortly before 8 a.m., inundating harbors with several feet of seawater. A sheriff's dispatcher said 35 boats and "most if not all" of the docks in the city's harbor had been destroyed. Near the mouth of the Klamath River, three friends who had gathered to take photos were swept into the ocean. Two of the men made it back to shore, but the Coast Guard is using helicopters to help search for the third man. In Santa Cruz, hundreds of residents gathered near the shoreline to watch as water surged in and out of harbors. Large chunks of debris floated in the East Harbor, where several boats had broken free and docks had collapsed. At least one large powerboat had capsized and hit other vessels in West Harbor. Coast Guard searches for man swept out to sea in Northern Calif. while taking pics of tsunami http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2011/03/crescent-city-harbor-destroyed-people-swept-into-sea.html Eight-foot waves from the Japan tsunami destroyed much of Crescent City harbor, battered boats, closed the 101 Freeway and left one person missing. KDRV-TV reported that four people were washed out to sea Friday. Three were hurt and one is feared dead. [Updated at 12:21 a.m.: The Associated Press reported that the Coast Guard was searching for a man swept out to sea iwhile taking pictures of the tsunam.] Local residents reported that about three dozen boats were "crushed" in the harbor and that surging waters significantly damaged or destroyed most of the docks. Ocean water surging up Elk Creek north of the harbor reportedly lapped up to front doors of the community's cultural center. Officials were warning residents to expect higher surges throughout the day, one resident said by telephone. Officials from the Sheriff's Department and the city could not be reached. Crescent City, near the Oregon border, was the scene of a devastating tsunami in 1964 which killed 11 people and destroyed 289 homes and businesses. In 2006, tsunami-driven currents caused $10 million in damage to the city's harbor. One resident said Friday's damage to the harbor was as bad -– or worse -– as then. Officials reported waves of 6-1/2 feet in Crescent City and 6 feet in Morro Bay, said Caltech scientist Lucy Jones. Jones said officials won't know the extent of the damage until high tide occurs later Friday. "Clearly, very large drawdown of water in Half Moon Bay," Jones said earlier in the day. "We are coming to high tide in a couple [of] hours. As long as we're still growing on tide, we need to keep a watch on the water.... Currents may be very significant. In Santa Cruz, the waves jostled boats and damaged docks. Authorities issued an evacuation advisory about 6:40 a.m. for coastal residents and those living along the San Lorenzo and Capitol rivers and other major waterways in Santa Cruz County, said county spokesman Enrique Sahagun. The first waves reached land about 7:45 a.m. At Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor, the swells pushed and bumped boats together and broke some docks, but total damage is unknown thus far, Sahagun said. "The water is pushing the boats together like a major car collision on Highway 405 or another big highway," he said.

I was looking for something like this. I knew it was out there. Now I'd like to know who was "on the ground" in Japan when the earthquake/s hit. During the recent quake in New Zealand there was this... FEMA Deputy Administrator for Protection and National Preparedness, Tim Manning, was in Christchurch at the time of the quake, as part of a trip to New Zealand and Australia to discuss a broad range of emergency management issues, as part of ongoing international cooperation efforts. http://www.fema.gov/news/newsrelease.fema?id=53742February 22, 2011 " as part of a trip to New Zealand and Australia to discuss a broad range of emergency management issues, as part of ongoing international cooperation efforts"and then Prime Minister Julia Gillard said this while visiting Barry... March 08, 2011 "We are well used to joint facilities in Australia ... so we are enthusiastic and I believe the United States is enthusiastic about looking at ways we can further that cooperation into the future."Read more: http://www.news.com.au/breaking-news/prime-minister-julia-gillard-keen-on-us-military-in-australia/story-e6frfku0-1226017466949#ixzz1GKDvk1f9Prime Minister Julia Gillard keen on US military in Australia * By Paul Osborne * From: AAP * March 08, 2011 8:06AM PRIME Minister Julia Gillard says she's "enthusiastic" about the prospects of a greater American military presence in Australia. Ms Gillard and US President Barack Obama held a 40-minute meeting at the White House on Monday (Washington time) during her first visit to Washington as prime minister. The US is undergoing a study into how it will focus its massive defence efforts into the future, known as the global force posture review. Part of the review, which was the subject of the AUSMIN talks last November, is looking at ways the US can best cooperate with Australia. Ms Gillard said in Washington that Australia is "well used to joint exercises and joint work with the US, and will continue to work productively". And scientists may have underestimated the sea level rises expected by 2100, The Daily Telegraph reported. Professor Ross Garnaut, the Federal Government's climate change adviser, called for deeper cuts to emissions and a more rapid move to a carbon tax based on the findings of his fifth official report.Professor Garnaut acknowledged that public opinion was now divided over the issue and the debate had moved from science to politics. In the report, major cities - particularly Sydney - are shown to be under much more immediate threat from sea level rises than previously predicted. It warned that there had already been a three-fold increase in inundation events in Sydney, according to data taken from Fort Denison in Sydney Harbour. "The increase in incidence of extreme sea level events for some of Australia's largest cities is a factor of 1000, and for Sydney it is 10,000," the report said. The federal Liberal member for Fadden, Stuart Robert said he and four other MPs were on the train when the earthquake hit on Friday. japan did just have a 7.2 earthquake a few days ago, on the 9th... and now today's massive devastation,on the 11th. i won't drift off into any more numerology speculation after this comment..but it seems many were expecting "something" to transpire today, tho more so in saudi arabia news(day of rage). since as donnay pointed out, spain train ff transpired today,7 years ago on march 11 2004(911 days after the wtc ff)
again..i don't like veering off into numerology esp for disasters like this...but i will keep an eye out for any more repeating number patterns/synchronicities
and yeah, plus i do think this has alot to do with the nle11 new madrid, activity we've been hearing so much about recently.

ditto Picture #36 is surreal! Did the earth really fall away right along the middle paint line of the road? Or, was the line repainted afterward? People of Japan -- Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, e

watch out for an arctic blast: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arctic_Blast_(film) The plot is centered around a colossal blast of heavily chilled mesosphere air, moving towards the Earth after a solar eclipse. The catastrophic event threatens to engulf the entire world in ice. As coastal Australia undergoes mass evacuation, physicist Jack Tate (Michael Shanks) tries to find a solution while protecting his family. www.youtube.com/watch?v=js4bMX53ijc
