a couple of things:
the cinematography for the video is decent.
HOWEVER.........
1) the video has NOTHING to do with the song. the opener IMO was a gross, vile introduction of evil for young kids teaching them to accept that nothing is sacred because they were "born this way." if you worship evil its ok; if you are a cross dresser its ok, etc.........
2) the shock value of the video was a bold cover up for the fact that gaga has NO REAL talent. the dancing in that video is laughable at best. her material is manufactured in a studio by a bunch of nerds who get paid to think up goofy shit with a slice of corporate brainwashing agenda thrown in.
3) considering her fanbase; its just inappropriate for kids. the world is crazy enough with out preteens being forced to make sense of why aliens were digging in gaga's poon.
4) who lets their kids watch that? there are WAY better methods of spurring creativity.

well one interpretation for one image as i am fairly disgusted and can't watch the whole video. the image of her above the earth with lightning bolts from her womb going to earth. lightning bolt is representative of lucifer falling from heaven to earth. so i suppose it's her birthing demons onto earth, of course they were born that way so you gotta be tolerant. tool, eh ? now that is some interesting stuff ! at least maynard has the stones to come out and tell us up front. Buy your son a guitar and some Stevie Ray Vaughn and Brian Setzer cds. When he discovers the joys of playing REAL music he will run screaming from this kind of crap in horror. It worked for me as a kid anyway.  I'm still playing my beat up Fender Stratocaster until this day and I wouldn't have even heard of this Ga Ga crap if it weren't for the internet. *edit* I bought my niece a guitar for Christmas two years ago and she thinks Ga Ga suxx |

We have at this point eight guitars in our house ... I play and am teaching him ... but he goes more for the keyboard, electronic and on our old turn-of-the-century 'ragtime' rinky-dink piano. In our house, though, both Stevie Ray and Setzer are newcomers ... we have a huge collection (about 25,000 LPs) and largely pre-1970 ... all kinds of music, olde tyme, jazz, blues, hillbilly, gospel, R&R, R&B, classical, etc, etc. Our kid also plays violin. But there is still the peer pressure, etc., that is inescapable. I am convinced he will not be sucked in to that whirlpool ... in the end he will resist and stay true to his roots. |

I know you know that Tom Green is far more aware of [the negative] propaganda within media than Gaga, who actually participates in it. I'm thinking she'll enact the scene from 300 where the Spartans literally employ eugnenical techniques to choose fit & healthy warriors from birth. The unfit are thrown off the cliff... If she were to do this I believe it'd be taken a step further where you see the child being thrown over the cliff.
