Breast milk ice cream goes on sale in Covent Garden

A restaurant in London's Covent Garden is serving a new range of ice cream, made with breast milk.

The dessert, called Baby Gaga, is churned with donations from London mother Victoria Hiley, and served with a rusk and an optional shot of Calpol or Bonjela.

Mrs Hiley, 35, said if adults realised how tasty breast milk was more new mothers would be encouraged to breastfeed.

Each serving of Baby Gaga at Icecreamists costs £14.

Mrs Hiley's donation was expressed on site and pasteurised before being churned with Madagascan vanilla pods and lemon zest.

Icecreamists founder Matt O'Connor placed an advert appealing for breast milk donations and believes his new recipe will be a success.

"If it's good enough for our children, it's good enough for the rest of us," he said.

"Some people will hear about it and go yuck - but actually it's pure organic, free-range and totally natural."

Mrs Hiley, who gets £15 for every 10 ounces of milk she donates to the company, said it was a great "recession beater".

What you did was honorable but this is is insane.  Besides the "benefits" in ice cream are probably minimal because all the nutrients are FROZEN AND DECOMPOSED IN THE ICE CREAM.

The only problem I see with this is the women are donating their life sustaining milk and then the ice cream purveyor is getting paid for it.

What sort of capitolism is that? Cheesy

When people can't get the right kind of work-out, i.e. they have a job where you sit like a statue, they develop stress and tension and begin to desire an outlet; in the natural world that outlet would be work, hunting, war... in our world the disciplined exercise and generally enjoy good health, while those who fail to see the benefit or do not wish to do the work become unhealthy. It's also a matter of looking like "unnecessary work" or something that takes too long.... lol...

what i am trying to say is that modern people have weird tastes because they have so much free time, and artistic expression has gotten very strange, and art school/culinary school is the same thing today as well. there are strange ideas floating around there, and in Europe there has always been a ravenous audience for the strange, lol!

I am not phasma though, he lives there XD

Umm..dude. Phasma is a she.

But as for the rest of what you wrote, I think you may be right.

Do i get a tatoo for each breast with that commendation pdf? approved stamp or somethin Cheesy (joke)

@ CX - what is wrong with this country - I wonder i really do.

I think its the want it - have it now culture - combined with sheer laziness! The kids i see want to do nothing but be rich and live like a "hollywood star" , be famous and be beautiful , , , even if there is no substinance to that.

"real life" is hard - you have to work hard to get what you want - but alot of them lack the ability to work toward something - they often can`t be bothered, and we have (for now) a nice fail safe net of benefits waiting to catch them.

If they don`t work hard and leave school with nothing then they are right - they would be better not working - free house (rent paid) no council tax, free prescriptions and money for other stuff . . . not that there are many jobs for the young unskilled people anyways ..

It seems to me, as a 30 something year old, that people have lost their moral compass. People behave in ways that were unheard of even 20 years ago - you want proof of that google "jeremy kyle" and see the kind of people on there - he is heading out to the US soon, it seems there are no end of people put there who are truly messed up !

Maybe all the chemtrails and haarp are throwing off peoples ability to think and behave "right" . . . idk why suddenly the world seems to have gone batsh1t crazy.

You and I both know that's not true in quite a few cases, and people on benefits are under increasing scrutiny (not to mention the social stigma). Also, not every young person has their parents to fall back on...

If they don`t work hard and leave school with nothing then they are right - they would be better not working - free house (rent paid) no council tax, free prescriptions and money for other stuff . . . not that there are many jobs for the young unskilled people anyways ..

Don't lie. You don't get a house around here unless you have 5 kids or something, and you wait an eternity (years) even for that. Anyway, are you suggesting we live in a free market economy where these folk would magically get jobs? Bollocks. Try reading Geolibertarian's threads and you'll see why its wrong to blame the "doleys" for the problems we're facing.

I don't pay attention to distractions like that.

Or perhaps that sociopathic ranting has become permissible in the controlled media (not to mention bad or lack of parenting). The kind that demonises certain groups of people as sub-human (notably, the unemployed, young, Muslims, disabled folk).

Phasma,

There was a short story written back in the 1960's or early 1970's...
a BESt SCI-Fi of the year type of collection,
with such a story !

Women lived like cows...
pumps attached to breasts...
tongues amputated...
some "BIG STUD " brought in to impregnate them...

"Bizarre imagination this writer has !"
I had thought at the time.

All it would take for compliance...
a little laser adjustment to the brain...

GOD !
This topic is sick !

@ freedom commonsense - ok. I did not blame the "doleys" for anything, rather i tried to look at it from that point of view. I also acknowledged that the system is about to change but you cut that bit out.

How am I lying? A friend of mine who I was at school with has 4 kids - she has NEVER had a job ever! She just got a nice 4 bed house in London somewheres. She has a nice life - her words not mine!

bad parenting / amoral behaviour all come down to people losing their ability to care a dam about anyone else - putting their own needs and wants first.

@ Amazon, WOW! That "story" sounds amazing! AND a little like a NWO wet dream.

:O

Can you even imagine !

Yes, so stop envying them. It's stupid. We aren't meant to be falling for that class war trick.

I can't get a house though - you don't get one that easily. You're talking about a relatively small number of households. Most people on benefits are actually working (child benefit isn't means tested, tax credits are paid on incomes up to £50k, council housing occupied by low-paid workers etc).

I wonder why they named it “Baby Gaga?”  Unlike Mrs. Hiley, who evidently came to London from the clover fields of Shropshire to be milked in public, I suspect that, if Lady Gaga were expressed on site, the results would not be human lactose but rather liquid silicone which probably does not taste at all good with lemon zest.

Why name it "Baby GaGa" ?

Could it have something to do with the various PERVERSIONS that the LADY illustrates ?

How about the thought of this product being so gross
that it activates the GAG REFLEX ?

Why don't we have a vomitting smiley on this forum ?

Now hold on a minute!  Not only do I love to see women empowered, I am hoping that Andrej Pejic soon becomes one and gets his coveted gig at Victoria ’s Secret by having his otherwise worthless testicles removed at the door and his breasts enlarged with plastic when he enters the contract.  More power to her!  Just think, the next flavor popsicle: “Baby Pejsick,” a subtle combination of liquid silicone breast milk, organic acai berry juice and vanilla beans ground to a pulp by bare-footed tribesmen in the Congo.

Ok, I shall have to confess that, even though I am em-bare-assed Embarrassed now to admit it, I was dancing to Lady make-me-Gaga-lot’s (cheers, Amazon) grandmother (adoptive, of course, because I suspect that, given the situation of their fallopian tubes, neither one of them will be having children anytime soon), Amanda Lear, way back in ’79.  Now Amanda Lear, it seems to me, is an old paradigm who not only needs but, in the advertising language of Preference by L'Oréal, deserves to be maintained.
