'Two and a Half Men' Shut Down

TMZ has learned "Two and a Half Men" will immediately stop production for the rest of the season ... because of Charlie's escapades in the last few days ... most recently what he said to TMZ.

CBS and Warner Bros. say, "Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen's statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of 'Two and a Half Men' for the remainder of the season."

The decision comes several hours after TMZ posted a story in which Charlie Sheen challenged creator Chuck Lorre to a fight, calling him "a stupid, stupid little man and a pu**y punk that I never want to be like."

Sources connected with the production tell us ... Charlie's comments to TMZ were the final straw.

No word on whether production will resume next season.

Uh oh. Looks like Charlie Sheen's wild radio rant on "The Alex Jones Show" Thursday is having a really negative impact.

The hit CBS show is immediately stopping production for the rest of the season, even though Sheen was originally scheduled to return to the set next week.

"Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen's statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of 'Two and a  Half Men' for the remainder of the season," the network said in a statement.

In case you missed it, the troubled actor said some pretty nasty things on Jones' show. He called "Two and a Half Men" creator Chuck Lorre a "turd" and made it clear that he didn't think the wildly popular show could survive without him. "Do what you're gonna do -- I'll go make movies," he said in the interview.

But that's not all. Sheen continued his rant by making a few comments to TMZ: "I violently hate (Lorre)," the actor said. "He's a stupid, stupid little man and a (expletive) punk that I'd never want to be like. That's me being polite."

I have mix feelings about the interview and the new found interest in the show after the interview.

While, I like "train wreck" style radio, which is great listening, don't get me wrong, Alex Jones is a different kind of radio show, which is why I listen to him, but on the other hand.

The "train wreck" style radio brings in new audiences, and Alex can use that to school people on the how the media works.

I happen to like listening to Howard Stern and Opie & Anthony.

Sheen to Get New Show on HBO, CBS Shuts Down "Two and a Half Men"

Sheen reportedly challenged creator Chuck Lorre to a fight, calling him "a stupid, stupid little man."

LOS ANGELES (KTLA) -- CBS is puling the plug on the current season of the popular sitcom "Two and Half Men," network officials announced Thursday.

CBS and Warner Brothers released a statement Thursday saying that the show, which is home to one of today's most trouble-ridden celebrities, will not be producing new shows for the remainder of the year.

"Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen's statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of 'Two and a Half Men' for the remainder of the season," the statement said.

Radar Online reported that Sheen is in talks with HBO to star in his own show, a deal that would reportedly land him $5 million per episode. ""It will be epic," he told Radar Online. "All types of guests and we will focus on the truth and the absurd!"

Sheen earned $2 million per episode on "Two and a Half Men."

Sheen's famous escapades, a recent stint in rehab and public battles with executives may be to blame for the sudden halt in production.

TMZ posted a story earlier Thursday quoting Sheen challenging creator Chuck Lorre to a fight, calling him "a stupid, stupid little man and a pu**y punk that I never want to be like."

The show had already been on hiatus since January when Sheen was admitted to rehab after allegedly hosting a party overflowing with drugs and porn stars.

No word on whether the show will return for its 9th season.

I think this will bring great publicity to Alex Jones. In fact, there was a story on another website spinning quotes from when they were joking about people saying they're asassins for the vatican into that they really believed they were vatican assasins. Then there was a comment something about Alex making more sense than Rush Limbaugh and the others.

A lot of people aren't going to "get" this interview. A lot of it was inside jokes and lingo that I guess they use in Hollywood or something so it's just something else. To me it seemed like Charlie Sheen did a lot of calling people idiots, that's including you and me too but whatever. He didn't come off altruistic to me. It seems like Alex is trying to convince everyone that a pig is a cow.

When you come out of the closet and share your opinion you're going to make a lot of people mad. From my experience, AA is another addiction for addicts and resembles a cult. That being said, the fact that people become addicted to AA instead of alcohol can save their lives. The problem is that the AA becomes the crutch. It is my opinion that the 12 steps is a natural progression of awakening and most people don't get it. If they got it they wouldn't need to cling to AA for life support after working the steps.

I don't see how Charlie Sheen can say he's cured if he hasn't had any length of sobriety yet. That's like saying you've made CEO on your first day of work. In my opinion, he seems to be manic and there is probably no way he can relate to our reality because he has never lived in our reality. His world is a lot different than ours. He has been famous since he was a teen. His world is one of wealth, power and fame. People in his position get very weird and do off the wall things because they have nothing else to do I guess. As a student of history, you can trace this back... Elvis, Michael Jackson.. etc.. they just seem to lose touch with reality of society and go off the wall. Didn't Elvis just show up at the whitehouse one day to volunteer to be a DEA agent? Who in the world would actually do that??? What could we all do if we had endless supply of money and resources and all the time in the world on our hands... I think their world just becomes an alter reality and they can not relate to anyone but other people in their shoes. I think this is the base problem in our society. The people who have gained power in our country are those who have lost all ties with reality so how can they possibly know what's best for us - the majority?

The only people they relate to and associate with are other people of unlimited wealth and power so of course they have no allegiance to this country or any other country. Their allegiance lies to each other. They are a country outside of all others and they are in control of most of the resources on the planet. Personally, I have come to the conclusion the only solution to this problem is to stop buying what they're selling. The problem with that is it takes a lot of effort and the American public has too little attention span to put that forth, myself included!

I really hope this turns out for the best for Alex. Sorry for my rant but I was really perplexed today by this interview. Like I said in an earlier post, I was left with the feeling of "WTF just happened???"
