I am looking for more info right now...

Ousted President Hosni Mubarak went into a coma on Saturday at his residence in Sharm al-Sheikh, according to well-informed sources.

Mubarak flew to the Red Sea resort town on Thursday with his immediate family following his final speech, in which he handed over executive authority to former Vice-President Omar Suleiman.

The same sources said that Mubarak was currently receiving medical treatment but that no decision had yet been made on whether to transfer the 83-year-old former head-of-state to hospital.

Rumors had circulated earlier that Mubarak had fainted twice while recording his final speech, which was broadcast on state television on Thursday evening.

Translated from the Arabic Edition.

Mubarak Mystery: In Egypt, In Germany, In Coma?

Many aspects of Hosni Mubarak's life - from his health to his wealth to his daily whereabouts - were closely guarded secrets during his nearly 30 years as president of Egypt. After being ousted from office last week, not much has changed.
The Egyptian daily Al-Masry Al-Youm reported Sunday that Mubarak had slipped into a coma. The paper repeated rumors that the 83-year-old former head-of-state also fainted twice during his infamous I-won't-quit speech last week, delivered just a day before he did indeed step down.

Another report, from an Israeli French-language magazine named JSS News, claims that Mubarak was on death's door in a hospital in Baden, Germany. Mubarak has long been rumored to be suffering from cancer, and JSS News claims that he is already in the terminal phase of his cancer suffering.

Despite these rumors, an Obama administration official told a reporter at the Washington Post Sunday they believed he was actually in the seaside resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh, where he has long had a private residence. Egypt's prime minister also supported this report.

Complete Coverage: Anger in the Arab World

Still, several locals in Sharm el-Sheikh also told the Post they believe that, while he did immediately flee for the resort town after resigning, he quickly boarded a plane for Abu Dhabi and then continued on to Germany.

For their part, the Germans call this theory nonsense.

"He's not in Germany, and he's not on his way," Steffen Seibert, the chief spokesman for German Chancellor Angela Merkel, said Sunday night, according to the Post. "This is a new round of rumors. There is absolutely no information that we have about this, and it would require him a visa to come here. So presumably we would know."

If Mubarak is indeed gravely ill, there is still uncertainty about how he would pay for medical treatment.

What a laugh.  It has been reported that he has a fortune of $70 billion.

Mubarak in life/death state in Germany hospital

We have learned through foreign sources that Hosni Mubarak was flown this morning to a Baden hospital in Germany after falling into a coma. The report was confirmed this morning by Bahrain daily Al Wasat who indicated that just prior to leaving for his resort in Sharm-el-Sheikh, Mubarak became comatose.

Apparently, prior to delivering his last speech on national Egyptian television, we also learned that Mubarak had fainted. This is the explanation given for the delay between the announcement of his anticipated speech and his actual appearance several hours later.

His fragile state of health was also cited as the reason for which the army did not insist that he leave earlier.

Hosni Mubarak is said to have collapsed soon after his last public address on Thursday. By Saturday night he was in a full coma, according to al-Masry al-Youm.

This story is unconfirmed, but according to Al Arabiya it uses reliable sources.

Mubarak is said to be be receiving treatment in Sharm El Sheikh.

Suddenly declining health could be one reason for the sudden resignation on Friday -- which was given notably by Vice President Omar Suleiman.

The fact that the MSM can't even sort his out is proof of a massive cover-up IMO.  Where there is smoke, there is fire.  If it was a simple matter, the issue would have been put to bed along time ago.  Same with the Saudi king.

excerpt:

Egypt's ambassador to the United States said Mubarak may be in "bad health," providing the first word on the state of the 82-year-old leader since he was ousted on Friday and the military took over running the country.

Speaking Monday on NBC's "Today" program, Sameh Shoukry said he had received information that Mubarak was "possibly in somewhat of bad health." He said he could not be more specific, but two Cairo newspapers on Monday said Mubarak was refusing to take medication, depressed and repeatedly passing out at his residence in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh. There was no immediate confirmation of the reports.

This is quite a mystery.  Maybe the tabloids (National Enquire, etc) at the grocery stores will give us the answer.  I'll bet the CIA is working on a good twisted story here.

The CIA probably has an army of "cooks" to take care of dictators that don't fall in line with their plans.

I heard somewhere his 70 billion was frozen by the Swiss authorities--that the money belongs to the citizens of Egypt.  Could just be a rumor...but it reminded me of the Philippines President Marcos and his wife....

Three days after his ouster, former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak was reportedly in very bad health conditions and slipped into a coma.

“Mubarak, who is currently in Sharm el-Sheikh, is suffering from physical health problems and psychological distress,” reported Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper on its English-language website on Monday, February 14, citing unnamed informed sources.

According to the paper, the 82-year-old Mubarak “is refusing to take medication or be examined by physicians.”

The daily also claimed that the aging leader slipped into a coma.

Mubarak, who had ruled the country since 1981, handed over power to the military on Friday, after 18 days of widespread demonstrations against his regime.

With several rumors being circulated about his whereabouts, Prime Minister Ahmed Shafiq said Sunday that he believed Mubarak is currently at the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh.

Mubarak underwent a successful surgery in March 2010 at a German clinic for an inflamed gall bladder.

Since then, doubts increased over the former president's health.

“Mubarak is receiving treatment at his residence in the resort town,” the newspaper said.

“It has not yet been decided whether he should be transported to a hospital, either in Egypt or abroad.”

Egypt's ambassador to the United States Sameh Shoukry confirmed the news saying that Mubarak may be in "bad health”.

Speaking Monday to NBC's "Today" program, Shoukry said he had received information that Mubarak was "possibly in somewhat of bad health."

Yet, he could not be more specific.

A state newspaper on Monday admitted that Mubarak was in delicate health, but denied that the aging leader was in a coma.

Mubarak is in a "severe psychological condition and is declining treatment, despite his illness," but not in a coma, the pro-government Al-Gomhuria daily said, citing sources close to Mubarak.

Brothers’ Dispute

The reports came after Mubarak’s sons reportedly quarreled over the reasons behind the father’s downfall.

“You ruined the country when you opened the way for your friends. Here is the result,” Mubarak’s older son Alaa was quoted by Al-Akhbar daily as telling his younger brother Gamal.

"Instead of your father being honored at the end of his life, you helped damage his image."

The paper said the confrontation which took place at the presidential palace in Cairo on Thursday, when Mubarak delegated his powers to his vie-president before resigning the following day.

Sources also told Al-Masry Al-Youm that Mubarak and Gamal had an angry argument in which Mubarak told his son, "You got me into this, you and your mother. You have ruined my history in Egypt."

Gamal, 47, was widely believed to be groomed by the Egyptian regime to succeed his father.

He gained great influence in government after he was appointed head of the ruling party’s policies committee in 2002.
Gamal opened the door for businessmen to hold key positions in the government of Ahmed Nazif, whom Mubarak fired several days after the riots sparked on January 25.

NEWS FROM BEHIND THE SCENES

Right after what close friends describe as a grumpy Mubarak vowing to spill the beans on what goes on behind close doors at the Egyptian torture centers with U.S. approval, Mubarak seems to have had a little slip & fall 'ACCIDENT'.   Shortly after the vow to close friends, the has-been dictator slipped and fell into a coma and is now fighting for his life in a German hospital.

Men in black were the last people to be seen with the former dictator.

Well, we know that, but how is his health? Roll Eyes

Interesting and telling that there was no mention of any health issues in the time leading up to the ouster, and suddenly just after leaving town, he falls ill, or maybe better put, silenced.

Or meaning, his health could have been a known factor before the chaos, hence the chaos, to bring in someone new.  Just saying, two birds...one stone...happy coincidence...don't allow a good crisis to got to waste.  Undecided
