Jane Pitt, the mother of actor Brad Pitt, faces death threats following her letter to the editor to a newspaper in which she blasts President Barack Obama for his lengthy pro-abortion record.

In the letter published by the Springfield News-Leader, Pitt calls President Obama, “a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies.” She adds, “Any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney’s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama.”



Even though Pitt stands with the majority of Americans who are pro-life on abortion, new reports indicate she is facing an extreme backlash from pro-abortion activists. A WND story says Jane Pitt “has been scared into silence by the hate-filled, vulgar and even violent reaction to her” letter.

If Americans needed any further evidence of the blatant bias and disregard for the truth displayed by the increasingly discredited establishment press, the coverage — or lack thereof — of two recent demonstrations in Washington, D.C., provided a perfect illustration. One tiny protest was seeking more gun control and was promptly plastered all over the front pages. The other march, which was virtually ignored by the press despite record-breaking attendance, sought protection for the lives of unborn children.

On Friday, as The New American reported, more than 500,000 people, according to reliable estimates, converged on the capital for the annual pro-life March for Life. They came from all across the country in support of protecting the lives of unborn children to mark the 40th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision, which improperly purported to legalize the killing of babies by inventing “rights” not listed in the Constitution or anywhere else.

Despite the massive size of the historic march, the media barely noticed it. According to the non-partisan Media Research Center, the marches did not garner a single “syllable of coverage” from ABC or CBS. While ABC could not find the time to mention the demonstration for life on Friday evening, though, it was certainly not because there were too many other critical stories to tell.

“Anchor Diane Sawyer made time for an update on the supposed controversy over complaints Subway’s ‘foot-long’ subs are sometimes only eleven inches long. Horrors,” noted Brent Baker, vice president for Research and Publications at the Media Research Center. “Sawyer allocated 28 seconds to this.”

There were plenty of newsworthy events going on at the March for Life, too. “Can a nation long endure that does not respect the sanctity of life?” asked U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.), one of the many lawmakers who spoke at the rally. “Can a nation conceived in liberty carry its head high if it denies protection to the youngest and most vulnerable of its citizens?”

If the record-breaking march complete with top national leaders was mentioned at all in newspapers, it was barely a footnote. The few outlets that did cover it often used pictures of a few pro-abortion supporters to illustrate the article, drawing fury from readers. Many media outlets did not a have a single word about the massive demonstration at all.

In fact, the huge story was ignored so completely that it never even hit the “top stories” section in Google news, offering further proof that the establishment press all but ignored the enormous demonstration. Most of the major papers and “media” outlets simply pretended like the March for Life never happened.

Imagine, though, if over 500,000 people had marched on Washington for higher taxes on the rich, gun control, in support of killing babies, or other statist causes. Analysts say the press would have been all over it for weeks, asking lawmakers why they were ignoring the will of the people. When more than half-a-million Americans demand an end to the legalized slaughter of millions of babies, however, not even a peep was heard from most of the establishment press.

Compare that media coverage to the attention lavished on a pitifully miniscule “march” the next day demanding more infringements on the unalienable right to keep and bear arms, which was the top story on Google news for hours. When “thousands” of people — some media estimates acknowledge fewer than 1,000 actually participated in the demonstration despite other claims — the tiny event favoring more restrictions on the Second Amendment became instant front-page news across America, complete with lies and distortions about the numbers in attendance.

USA Today, the largest newspaper by readership in America, had its homepage covered with articles about the “puny” rally. “Thousands rally in Washington for gun control,” read the headline of the paper, which was quickly ridiculed in the comment section of the article. “Despite chilly temperatures and snow-covered ground, supporters came from around the country came to make their statement,” the paper “reported,” despite the same chilly temperatures endured by hundreds of thousands of pro-lifers assembled the day before that never got mentioned. CNN and every other “mainstream” media source had similar lies about the numbers in attendance while acting as virtual cheerleaders for the cause.

The Washington Post, while celebrating the rally in prominent articles, offered a slightly more realistic estimate on the numbers, saying “nearly 1,000 people” had joined the march. CBS was also more accurate when it said that “close to a thousand” had demanded more restrictions on unalienable rights. Analysts, and especially gun rights supporters and pro-life activists, however, ridiculed the press for putting its hostile and deceptive bias on full display for the world, helping to further discredit the already widely mistrusted establishment media.

In a series of exposés, the Media Research Center, which recently said the media elites were “unhinged,” pointed to the complete silence on the March for Life compared with the attention showered on its pet causes. Despite ignoring the pro-lifers on Friday, “on Saturday night, both [ABC and CBS] newscasts highlighted a pro-gun control protest in DC which CBS anchor Jim Axelrod pegged at drawing ‘close to a thousand people,’” the MRC’s Baker wrote.

The same phenomenon was observed last year and, basically, every year that hundreds of thousands of Americans have converged on D.C. to protest legalized abortion, even though polls show most Americans are now pro-life. Even some members of the establishment press have admitted their overt bias when dealing with pro-life causes, yet they continue to masquerade as “unbiased” reporters.

Twitter Censors Black Pro-Lifers Blasting NAACP on Abortion

A coalition of African-American pro-life activists have had their Twitter account suspended after firing off Tweets challenging the NAACP over its position favoring abortion.

As LifeNews reported, the NAACP will host its 44th Image Awards Show to honor cultural and entertainment luminaries presenting the best face of black Americans. Leading black pro-life advocates will be on hand to protest the event, because the NAACP promotes abortion.

At this year’s event, the National Black Prolife Coalition tells LifeNews it will be protesting “due to the failure of the civil rights organization to represent the best interests of the community” including abortion.

After announcing the protest, their Twitter account @NAACP_WATCHDOGS was suspended.

“The black groups were drawing attention to what they claim is the failure of the civil rights organization to represent the best interests of the community. The issues range from abortion, traditional marriage, destruction of the black family and the extraordinarily high incarceration rate of black men. Protesters from across the nation will assemble in Los Angeles to declare that the NAACP has betrayed the black community,” the pro-life coalition told LifeNews.

“The group was circulating their message via Twitter and Facebook. However, since they attacked the NAACP via the Twitter Account, the NAACP Image Awards officials complained and it was suspended,” the National Black Prolife Coalition said.

The last Tweet sent out was a quote by Dr. Johnny Hunter, National Director of Life Education And Resource Network, who said “Racist elitists no longer need the Ku Klux Klan to control blacks; they have Planned Parenthood. And Planned Parenthood has the NAACP on a leash.”

Less than five minutes later, the account was suspended.

The twitter account @NAACP_WATCHDOGS had also quoted Stephen Broden, a pastor in Dallas, Texas, who stated, “The only word that can define the gross negligence of the NAACP is ‘betrayal.’”

He had also said, “They have abandoned our community’s morality, our economic and educational needs for thirty pieces of silver; they are drunk with the wine of the world and the power elite and their eugenic agenda against black folk.”

“The NAACP is out of touch with the black community,” said Rev. Edward Pinkney, President of Black Autonomy Network Community Organization (BANCO), “…and supports population control as set forth by Planned Parenthood which has targeted black people.”

Planned Parenthood Suing to Perform Webcam Abortions

After Wisconsin amended a law last year to ban the practice of “webcam abortions,” Planned Parenthood sued the state in federal court and lost. Now the organization has refiled that suit in another bid to overturn the law.

Wisconsin has joined Arizona, Nebraska, Kansas and South Dakota in banning the practice. Five other states are in the process of passing similar laws requiring a doctor to be physically present to examine a woman before she can terminate her pregnancy.

So what exactly takes place during a webcam abortion?

During this process, which Planned Parenthood refers to as “telemedicine” or “telehealth”, a woman merely chats with a doctor over the Internet. If the physician is satisfied by this conversation and a glance at her medical records, he presses a button at his location, and a drawer pops open in the patient’s room, giving her access to abortion-inducing drugs including RU-486.

Not only does this process further dehumanize an already dehumanizing act, but the distance between doctor and patient can sometimes be hundreds of miles, potentially leaving these women without direct access to the abortionist should she have complications.

Although pill-induced abortions have been touted as a natural alternative and “like a miscarriage,” they have been shown to be incredibly painful and dangerous. In fact, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released a report in 2011 regarding the thousands of adverse reactions, blood transfusions and even deaths that have been linked to RU-486.

Beyond that, more and more in our postmodern society we see humans being removed from the act of killing. Just like our nation’s unconstitutional drone wars that remotely slay thousands of innocent women and children halfway around the world at the push of a button, webcam abortions require even less human contact to kill an unborn child.

One of the least Catholic and most pro-abortion members of Congress, Democratic Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, has been added to the official U.S. delegation to attend the installation of newly-elected Pope Francis.

Pelosi will join pro-abortion Vice President Joe Biden to attend the Inauguration Mass celebrating the Pontificate of His Holiness Pope Francis, which will take place on March 19.

The news comes as newwly-elected Pope Francis used his second-ever blessing as the head of the Catholic Church to bless a pregnant mother and her unborn child. Pope Francis, who as been hailed by pro-life advocates once called abortion a “death sentence” for unborn children, during a 2007 speech and likening opposition to abortion to opposition to the death penalty.

But the former House Speaker has repeatedly clashed with and criticized the Catholic Church on pro-life issues.



In 2011, Pelosi was upset that the nation’s Catholic bishops protested the Obama administration decision forcing insurance companies to cover birth control, contraception and drugs that could cause abortions. They are upset certain religious groups may not be exempt from providing the insurance, which would violate their moral and religious views.

Pelosi saidthe position is akin to having hospitals “say to a woman, ‘I’m sorry you could die’ if you don’t get an abortion,” she told the Washington Post.

“Those who dispute that characterization “may not like the language,’’ she said, “but the truth is what I said. I’m a devout Catholic and I honor my faith and love it . . . but they have this conscience thing” that the Post said Pelosi “insists put women at physical risk, although Catholic providers strongly disagree.”

Pelosi also defended controversial remarks she made about a bill to prevent Obamacare from funding abortions, where she claimed Republicans “want women to die on the floor.”

“For a moment, I want to get back to what was asked about the issue on the floor today that Mr. Hoyer address,” Pelosi said. “He made a point and I want to emphasize it. Under this bill, when the Republicans vote for this bill today, they will be voting to say that women can die on the floor and health care providers do not have to intervene if this bill is passed. It’s just appalling.”

She told the Post in a new interview, that she doesn’t think the assessment went to far.

“They would” let women die on the floor, she said. “They would! Again, whatever their intention is, this is the effect.”

In 2010 Pelosi further ditched her Catholic credentials as she was unable to answer a reporter’s question about whether Jesus Christ should have had his right to life protected from conception.

Pelosi said she has an obligation to pursue public policy “in keeping with the values” of Jesus. Yet, asked by a CNS News reporter late last week whether Jesus has the right to life, Pelosi couldn’t agree.

CNSNews asked: “You said at a recent Catholic Community Conference that your favorite word was ‘The Word, as in the word made flesh,’ and that we need to quote, ‘give voice to what that means in terms of public policy that would be in keeping with the Word.’”

The reporter continued: “So, when was the Word made flesh? Was it at the Annunciation, when Jesus was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, as the Creed says, or was it at the Nativity when he was born of the Virgin Mary? And when did the Word get the right to life?”

“Whenever it was, we bow our heads when we talk about it in church, and that’s where I’d like to talk about that,” Pelosi said in response.

It really didn’t matter who the cardinals elected as the new pope. The Left, and we know who they are, hate the Church. Regardless who walked out on the balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica, there would be no honeymoon, hardly time for a hiccup, in fact, before the Left and its media goons started to bash him.

As Bill Donohue, president of the Catholic League, recently chronicled, the barrage of lies, spin, and accusations has already begun.

When you hate the Church, when you wish for its destruction, or at least for its transformation into another vehicle for secularization, you will naturally do all you can to hurt Her leader.



The Left can’t really help it (I can’t bring myself to call them “progressives, their preferred self-description) because they are not only left on the political spectrum, but they left true liberalism a long time ago, about the time they left civilized, humane conversation, a form of dialogue that sincerely cared about reaching the truth.

Francis himself, however, actually galls them: A Jesuit who rejected liberation theology (“Oh, the horror!), a South American cardinal who opposed the government on abortion, euthanasia, and gay-lesbian adoption, and, most of all, his lifestyle provides no clubs to beat him with — he rides the bus, will not live in archdiocesan palaces, and wears the simplest of clerical robes.

In his first public gesture, Francis I bowed to the thousands in St. Peter’s Square, as if to say, “I will be your servant.”

Some readers may think it hyperbole to claim the Left “hates” the Church. Anyone who by 2013 thinks such a claim an exaggeration will not be convinced by any evidence I could offer here.

Perhaps the most egregious fact of all: Led by the epicenter of anti-Catholic hatred, The New York Times, the Left considers the priest sex scandal a definitive corroboration of all their disdain towards the Church and its moral teachings. Yet, the same media ignore similar, and worse, patterns of child abuse in public schools, the Boy Scouts, and other religious denominations, including Judaism.

The Church gets special treatment. For the Left, priestly hypocrisy proves the falsehood of the Church’s moral principles, particularly on matters of sex, including celibacy, contraception, marriage, and, of course, homosexuality. And the moral standard a person strives but fails to attain is refuted. But they fail to notice how their argument leads to the nullification of all moral standards, even their own.

Vice-President Joe Biden has put his foot in his mouth again, this time with regard to the controversy over his leading the American delegation to attend the installation of Pope Francis as the new Pope.

Never mind that Vice President Joe Biden has been rebuked by his own bishop over his pro-abortion views, President Barack Obama chose him to lead the delegation. That decision prompted an outcry from Catholics and pro-life non-Catholics alike because of Biden’s longstanding pro-abortion record. Some pro-life advocates have called for Biden to be prohibited from receiving communion at any ceremony for Pope Francis.



Now, Biden has said he plans to attend the celebratory Mass. He confirmed he will be attending a reception tonight with the presidential delegation to the inaugural mass with American officials based in Rome. Biden says he has to attend “or I’ll lose my soul.”

Biden’s comment came as he met at the Villa Aurelia with Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic, according to reporters on the scene.

“We invited the American cardinals to a reception,” Biden told Nikolic. “So unless I’m prepared to join the Eastern Orthodox Church, as a Roman Catholic, I’d better show up or I’ll lose my soul.”

According to Biden’s office: “This evening, the Vice President and Presidential Delegation to the Inaugural Mass of Pope Francis are attending a reception at Villa Aurelia hosted by Charge d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy to the Holy See Mario Mesquita with U.S. Cardinals, U.S. Members of Congress, and officials from U.S Embassy Rome, the U.S. Embassy to the Holy See, and the U.S. Mission to the United Nations Agencies in Rome.”

Biden’s own bishop has had to correct the pro-abortion politician on his misstating the pro-life teachings of the Catholic Church.

In the interview with the Delaware News Journal, Biden continued to misrepresent the position of the Catholic Church on abortion in a way that has gotten him in trouble.

“But throughout the church’s history, we’ve argued between whether or not it is wrong in every circumstance and the degree of wrong. Catholics have this notion, it’s almost a gradation,” Biden claimed.

Not so, said Rev. W. Francis Malooly, the bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington.

He wrote in a letter to the editor that Biden “presents a seriously erroneous picture of Catholic teaching on abortion.”

“This is simply incorrect,” he said then of Biden’s interpretation. “The teaching of the Church is clear and not open to debate. Abortion is a grave sin because it is the wrongful taking of an innocent human life.”

Attorney Says Prosecution of Abortionist Who “Snapped Newborn Babies’ Necks” is “Racist”

‘House of Horrors’ doctor charged with killing live fetuses with scissors

The defense attorney for an infamous Philadelphia abortionist charged with snapping the necks of newborn babies with scissors has ludicrously claimed that the prosecution of Dr. Kermit Gosnell is “racist” because he is black.



Pandering to a largely black jury, attorney Jack McMahon stated, “This is a targeted, elitist and racist prosecution of a doctor who’s done nothing but give (back) to the poor and the people of West Philadelphia…It’s a prosecutorial lynching of Dr. Kermit Gosnell.”

According to the charges, Gosnell’s act of ‘giving back’ to the community included severing the spinal columns of at least seven newborn babies with scissors, and instructing his employees to do the same. He is also charged with killing 41-year-old Karnamaya Mongar by injecting her with a lethal dose of anesthesia and painkillers.

Gosnell also tried to force women who didn’t even want an abortion to go through the procedure. “When I said no, the doctor got upset and he ended up taking my clothes off, hitting me, my legs were tied to the stirrups,” Robyn Reid told ABC News. “I just remember my very last thought … looking up at the light and thinking, ‘Don’t fall asleep.’”

A 281-page Grand Jury report details how Gosnell’s Philadelphia Women’s Medical Society clinic, which had not been inspected for 17 years, was a literal house of horrors.

“In their raid on Gosnell’s clinic, federal agents discovered, among other horrors, the remains of 45 infants dumped in milk jugs, juice cartons, and pet food containers — all stored in a refrigerator and freezer on the premises,” reported The New American. “Agents also found jars containing the severed limbs of babies, and conditions they called ‘by far, the worst’ they had ever seen, with blood on the clinic floors, ‘filthy and unsanitary’ surgeries, broken and dirty medical instruments and equipment, along with a ‘stench of urine’ and even cat excrement.”

According to Assistant District Attorney Joanne Pescatore, Gosnell performed risky and substandard abortions on poor women, including killing babies that were born alive, in order to make money. Gosnell’s staff comprised of unlicensed individuals posing as medical professionals, some of whom were high school dropouts and could barely read or write.

“The standard practice here was to slay babies,” said Pescatore, “That’s what they did.”

The Grand Jury report speculates that Gosnell and his cohorts probably killed hundreds of babies outside of the womb and that his specialty was inducting labor and delivery of fetuses over 24 weeks old, but since most of the clinic’s files were destroyed, the scale of the horror remains limited to eight counts of murder.

Gosnell’s ability to evade scrutiny for so long led prosecutors to “accuse government officials of allowing Gosnell’s operation to go undetected because the Heath Department and other entities failed to perform inspections at the facility.”

“I think it’s obvious he will be found guilty,” John Stanton of the Pro-Life Union of Greater Philadelphia told the Philadelphia Inquirer. “It’s pretty much an open-and-shut case that he violated laws in such a manner that he is guilty of the charges laid on him.”

Rather than answering the charges against Gosnell, McMahon’s pathetic attempt to have them dismissed by playing the race card is a damning indictment of how political correctness has been hijacked and is being exploited to destroy logic.

The fact that Gosnell faces the death penalty for murdering newborn babies with scissors is ironic given that abortionists routinely use an almost identical method to kill fetuses that are still inside the womb, by jamming scissors into a baby’s skull before opening them and then using a suction catheter to suck out the brains of the fetus, causing the skull to collapse.

Gosnell’s actions are described as a “horrific crime” and yet when the same hideous procedure takes place inside the womb, it is celebrated by liberals as a sacred “reproductive right”.

Dr. Kermit Gosnell, an abortionist now on trial in Philadelphia charged with seven counts of first-degree murder–he allegedly cut the spinal cords of late-term aborted babies who were born alive–apparently used to joke about the large size of some the infants he aborted and in one case, according to what a co-worker told the grand jury, said, “This baby is big enough to walk around with me or walk me to the bus stop.”

Gosnell, 72, who ran a multi-million dollar abortion business in West Philadelphia, was arrested on Jan. 19, 2011, and his trial started Monday, Mar. 18, 2013. The first-degree murder counts refer to seven late-term aborted babies who were born alive and then killed, their spinal cords cut with scissors.

Gosnell is also charged with the third-degree murder of a pregnant woman, Karnamaya Mongar, 41, who died after being given a pain killer at Gosnell’s office. He also faces several counts of conspiracy and violation of Pennsylvania’s law against post-24-week abortions.

In testimony on Monday, Adrienne Moton, who used to work for Gosnell at the Women’s Medical Society in West Philadelphia, said she recalled one baby – “Baby Boy A” – who was aborted  in July 2008. Baby A was so large, Moton took a photo of the child with her cell phone before Gosnell took the baby out of the room.

If there's any truth to the "life review," then not to worry, justice will be served. No cutting of spines necessary. A life-long prison sentence in the mean time will suffice.

As the public awaits the verdict in “House of Horrors” abortionist Kermit Gosnell’s murder trial, pro-life leaders say that the “post abortion” killings of babies born alive may not be all that unusual in the abortion industry. Gosnell is charged with the murders of four babies born alive at his Philadelphia clinic, and investigators speculate hundreds of babies may have been killed in similar manner by him or co-workers, having their spinal cords snipped with a surgical scissors after being delivered alive. Abortion industry observers say the mindset of death and disregard for babies that permeated Gosnell’s Women’s Medical Society has been on display at other clinics around the nation.
 
In 2008, Operation Rescue reported that a nurse working with George Tiller associate Shelley Sella, a circuit-riding late-term abortionist, allegedly witnessed Sella stab to death a baby born alive during a late-term abortion at Tiller’s Women’s Health Care Services abortion clinic in Wichita, Kansas. The nurse, identified as Tina David, a Tiller employee, “gave us a very specific eye-witness account about the incident,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “We were told that the baby was 35 weeks gestation at the time of the abortion. The baby came out and was moving. Sella looked up at Ms. David, then picked up a utensil and stabbed the baby in the left ribcage, twisting the utensil until the baby quit moving. At 35 weeks, there is no doubt about viability. This is murder in anybody’s book.”
 
In March 2008, Students for Life in America released an undercover video in which Tiller, who was himself murdered in 2009, can be seen and heard saying that if a baby is born alive during an abortion, “it’s just sloppy technique. It is just technique that is reprehensible. The guy that did that ought to have his head beat up.”
 
And on May 7, Sarah Terzo, a pro-life activist who runs a website devoted to exposing the abortion industry, published an article recalling a 2005 case in which a woman gave birth to a live baby during a late-term abortion at a Florida clinic. The abortion, performed by the Orlando’s Women’s Center, was a two-day affair, and after the first day, the woman, identified as Angele, could feel the baby kick as she waited the night in her motel room. The next morning Angele took pills that were supposed to cause her to expel the deceased “fetus,” but after an intense and painful period of labor, she finally delivered her still-living baby — whom she had earlier decided to name Rowan — into a clinic toilet.
 
Angele recalled that she screamed for the attendant, “showed her Rowan, told her he was alive and moving and to call 911! She took a quick look, said he’s not moving now and she’d be back to take care of things while walking out. I called her again. I was touching Rowan softly and he moved again. I called her back. Rowan jumped, I think startled [him] by the loud sound of my calling for help. I showed her that he was moving and alive. I begged her to hurry and call 911, now!”
 
Instead, the attendant did nothing, and while Angele phoned a friend to call paramedics, Rowan eventually died. When the police (not paramedics) eventually arrived on the scene, wrote Terzo of the deadly affair, the attendant “told them that a patient had merely ‘passed some tissue’ and that ‘the physician had the situation under control.’ She convinced them not to enter the clinic.”

Philly Abortionist Found Guilty of First-degree Murder

The Philadelphia doctor whose late-term abortions were carried out in an alleged “House of Horrors” was found guilty of three counts of first-degree murder Monday.
 
Dr. Kermit Gosnell, 72, was also found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of a woman after a late-term abortion. He was acquitted of a fourth charge of first-degree murder. After 10 days of deliberation, the jury could not reach a verdict on two other charges against the Philadelphia physician, the Associated Press reported.
 
Gosnell was accused of severing the spines of babies born alive at his Women’s Medical Society clinic in West Philadelphia. The clinic was shut down by the FBI following a 2010 raid over his high-volume distribution of painkiller drug prescriptions. Authorities stumbled upon abortions being performed late at night amid allegedly filthy conditions. They reported finding 47 aborted fetuses stored in refrigerators at the clinic.
 
Prosecutors claimed Gosnell treated women with unsterilized equipment and untrained workers, while performing more than 1,000 abortions a year on an “assembly line” of patients. Three of seven first-degree murder charges were dismissed when the court ruled the prosecution had failed to provide evidence the infants had been born alive. A 300-page grand jury report in 2011 said there had been hundreds of babies born alive, only to have their spines severed, at Gosnell’s clinic.
 
“Gosnell had a simple solution for the unwanted babies he delivered,” the report said. “The way he ensured fetal demise was by sticking scissors into the back of the baby’s neck and cutting the spinal cord. He called that ‘snipping.’”
 
Killing infants in the womb has been protected as a constitutional right since the U.S. Supreme Court Roe v. Wade ruling in 1973. The high court has, however, upheld both state and federal bans on a certain type of late-term procedure, known as partial-birth abortion, in which an infant is partially withdrawn from the womb and his or her skull is punctured and collapsed.
 
According to the grand jury report, Gosnell’s “House of Horrors” had blood on the floor and reeked of urine. Many of the women who came to the clinic were infected with sexually transmitted diseases from contaminated instruments or had been given overdoses of dangerous drugs, the report said.

The shocking details of the Philadelphia “House of Horrors” run by abortionist Kermit Gosnell brought forth a chorus of voices from the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL), the National Abortion Federation (NAF), the National Organization for Women (NOW), and  Planned Parenthood (PP) claiming that Dr. Kermit Gosnell was an “outlier,” a rogue abortionist who was not representative of the “responsible” abortion industry.

However, as we reported yesterday, pro-life leaders have noted that the conditions and practices at the Gosnell abortuary are not at all uncommon. A new video interview with three women employees of Houston-based abortionist Dr. Douglas Karpen is sure to reinforce that claim (see video at the bottom of this article). It may also force the pro-abortion Big Media — which were AWOL on the Gosnell trial until public pressure shamed them into action — to at least partially cover the ugly truth about abortion.

In the new video, produced by Life Dynamics, clinic employees Deborah Edge, Krystal Rodriguez, and Gigi Aguliar offered horrifying testimony about conditions inside one of Karpen’s three abortion facilities, the Aaron Women’s Clinic. They tell of regularly delivering late-term abortions in which the baby came out alive and was killed by Dr. Karpen, either by “snipping” the spinal cord or inserting an instrument into the soft spot on the baby’s head. However, sometimes, they said, he actually twisted the heads off the live babies with his bare hands.

The video, together with the public awareness caused by the recent trial of Kermit Gosnell, likely prompted Texas authorities to announce that they have launched  criminal investigations into Dr. Karpen’s abortion clinics.

This dramatic exposé of Dr. Karpen has broken almost simultaneously with the release of yet another shocking video, an undercover “interview” with Dr. Leroy Carhart, a pro-abortion “hero” who recently was celebrated at the Sundance Film Festival. Produced by Lila Rose and her young activist investigators at Live Action News, Inhuman: Undercover In America’s Abortion Industry features Dr. Carhart disturbingly telling a prospective patient that after he injects the baby to kill him or her in the womb “it” will get soft and come out easily, “like putting meat in a Crock-pot … it just gets softer.” He also jokes that if the baby doesn’t come out, he can go in and “take it out in pieces,” breaking it up with “a pickaxe, a drill bit” and other tools in his toolkit.

Will Big Media remain AWOL on these shocking revelations? Not if a large enough public outcry forces them to once again grudgingly turn at least a little attention to one of the most scandalous issues of our time: the wanton slaughter of millions of babies.

A word of advice to mainline, MSNBC-watching Democrats: unless you want to make yourselves look like a bunch of smiley-faced sociopaths, you'll stop using the euphemisms "choice" and "women's health" to camouflage the grizzly nature of second and third trimester abortions.

Once a fetus is able to feel pain, the "choice" on whether or not to have that child has already been made.
